Elephantiasis- from our pal (Google)

"A tropical, parasitic disease that affects the lymph nodes and lymph vessels"

"Elephantiasis refers to a parasitic infection that causes extreme swelling in the arms andlegs. The disease is caused by the filarial worm, which is transmitted form human to human via the female mosquito when it takes a blood meal. The parasite grows into an adult worm that lives in the lymphatic system of humans"

They used juju to fight wars while the white man fought with guns and exiled their kings. Fast forward to present day, they are still using their voodoo while we watched the world showcase their latest fireworks heralding the new year...recolonization is needed grin! Maybe this time it will come with the much needed "great awakening"

Africans are so stupidddd. The stupid comments here have just left me speechless. I don't even want to bother with this thread.

I leave you all to ur superstition/religion-induced psychosis.

Very selfish of him seeing that you are helping him take care of his responsibility of assisting your brother.
Village house that they will fight you for at the end of the day.
Face your life and don't live anyone's dream but your own. You've found the woman after your heart, that is more important than a house you won't live in.
As long as they have a roof over their heads where they are, village house is of a very minimal use.
If ever you think of building one, make sure it is in your name and not his name.

Family › Re: Pls, I Want To Know About Nigerian Marriage Life. by armyofone(m):
Lady peacefull,
You didn't make any mistake by not talking to his family because you don't understand English or the language to communicate with them was the reason. So not your fault - don't feel bad.
You've been together for a very long time.
He used you to to make his stay in Japan permanent.
So it is up to you to stay or leave (he would like that after all you left on your own).
Highly possible he has a wife and kids in Nigeria (maybe before he met you)
He may be taking advantage of your communication problems. 15 years together and never made efforts to take you home - your guy is playing a fast one and smart alec on you...it's so clear sister.
So if you ever become tired and decide to leave him, make sure you do it in court and formally.
Sorry for your experience! Stay strong for it is well.
Family › Re: I Have The Worst Mother In The World ,I Need Help by armyofone(m): 12:36am On Dec 30, 2017
I wonder! No end in sight for an 18 years old and above adult to behave as one (an adult) and leave the nest. The only thing is whining all over the place.
Op, you are old enough to find your paths in life.

Look at it this way, your mama is stressed up. If I were you, I will stay in school, financially support her etc. Financial burden is wearing off your mom hence your present experience with her.
If mama gives you 50k, tell her mama I have a small job to support so keep the money or give me only 30k. Ease her burden and watch the changes in your relationship.

It is so sad how things are.
Parents just make love and birth anyhow in African society. No plans, nothing and kids are expected to fend for themselves or first born carry the responsibility.
It is sad that the cycle goes on!

Health › Re: Help My Mother by armyofone(m): 2:42am On Dec 28, 2017
There is nothing like herbal remedies with diabetes. Na wah for you. The only herbal you should be doing is buying vegetables and spices.
Common put on your googling glasses and research the best way you can help your mom manage her current health problems.
Start with her daily food, doctor appointment and moderate exercise.
tuazor:
Thanks every one for the response.

Well for the answers, yes she had high sugar level. But that has been controlled. As of yesterday morning her sugar level was about 6.4, which the doc said is a bit OK, Though she is taking the tablet to control the sugar level.

We spent three whole weeks in the hospital, like I said, there was improvement but just as we came home the swelling started again.

Am thinking going herbal but don't really know the way. Or probably, seek a more experienced medical attention which of course I Need clarification on. Or, are there drugs I can buy? Where and how do I get them?

I just need solutions please.

Obama, he radiates humility- very humble guy.

Family › Re: How Much Do You Give Your Parents As Monthly Stipend? by armyofone(m): 8:14pm On Dec 26, 2017
No, it must be shared responsibility among her children. They should take turns. Nobody should shoulder taking care of parents alone.

bettercreature:
You must be very stingy! You shouldn’t wait for your siblings before you do things for your parent beside it’s not suppose to be a shared responsibility. You can only advice them to contribute but don’t wait for them
Give them what you have and leave the rest

I agree with you. The whole thing is like going to Las Vegas to play lotto-
Let's see if the big businesses will bring their business back home as he said. We will wait to see how the new changes improve small business or if companies spring up like mushrooms.
Merry Christmas to you and everyone!

Mindfulness:
You can go back and make amendments? How? Start another war to justify your high military budget or trigger another economic crisis that does not only affect America but the world? By the way, I thought you were highly indebted and I thought the GOP were the party of fiscal responsibility? How is Trump going to finance infrastructure programs now? And who is going to pay for the wall? Last time I checked, Mexico refused to pay a dime.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Trump Signs GOP Tax Plan And Short-Term Government Funding Bill by armyofone(m): 4:14am On Dec 23, 2017
I think it will be okay - nobody has the magic wand to really predict the outcomes of the tax overhaul for America. At least if it doesn't work, we can always go back and make amendment.
Hope it helps us break into upper class cheesy PDPGuy, Lucas, Mindfulness, and all let's hear a resounding

Ask your husband how long the guy is going to stay.

PDPGuy:
Well, as the bride is marrying into a different family, there is no need for the groom to give her anything on the list.
