He has to get everyone concerned in the playoffs as well. So this comment doesn't help. Afromentalist: |
You should know better than insult a Man Utd player though. I'll definitely find your comment and post a reply. I take it very personal ![]() andrewbaba44: |
Nathan Ake is not better than Maguire. At least not yet. Is Maguire a world class player? Hell no. I believe he's quite overrated. Well, what can you say which good English player isn't. . He gets the advantage physically when he's in close range. He's actually excellent when he presses. Now well when the opposing player brings the ball into close range, that's definitely a problem. If the player's got pace, that's usually a problem he may not be able to deal with, unless the player fumbles it. He's not fast. And unless he's able to make better decisions to cover for his inabilities(pace) he may well be stuck at the very good status. Ake is coming up no doubt. And it looks like he'll be better. His build says that. He looks like someone that can adapt to different situations. andrewbaba44: |
I think exceptional is not quite the word you need here, cos once you are exceptional you are world class. So perhaps good/very good. Tolulopefinest: |
Stop this Nonsense, man. As long our leaders continue to govern shambolically. As long leaders wear the garment of conscienceless corruption. In which none of them can be trusted, we deal with the problems as they come. Jonathan as a president was a bitch. Nigeria flourished with regards to revenue generation under his regime. The price of oil on the average was more than double it ever was under this current regime. The job of the media is to uncover corrupt activities wherever- not that they are always doing it though, or their reports are not without prejudice. The fact that Nigerians consume media content literally tells a lot about us. A bunch of educated and uneducated illiterates. Do not blame Sowore. Blame it on the Nigerians that voted. If someone tells you something, must you act on it, shouldn't your better judgement help you make the right choice. This media thing is quite overrated honestly. A singificant proportion of the population are not even quite privy to what's going on on the social media. Some don't even care. We are talking about a country where the underaged register and vote. Sowore's criticisms of this government definitely predates Buhari's re-election, then why was he re-elected. You better find something better to do with your time. The opinion that Sowore was the major reason Buhari came into office is overrated. Anyone that thinks otherwise needs to re-educate himself urgently. Buhari clearly couldn't establish sanity in our system, which was what everyone thought he would, given his history. He has failed at that. As it turns out we frequently overestimate our usefulness or perhaps we do know we are incompetent but choose to govern for our own interests. Everyone is all over the place complaining about the government. Yet some of us will never return home. Let them fix the problem we say. The earlier the competent and conscientious amongst us wrealize that some will have to sacrifice their time and life to get things in order the better for us. The earlier we realize that the mandate we seek must be taken by force- in whichever way is the most dignifying- the better for us. We keep complaining but this useless leaders will not let it go freely. They will hang on to it as long as they can. We seriously need that state autonomy. I will repeat again, if you don't do it nobody will. We are the reason we are where we are. FullBlastLight: |
Thunder fire entanglement. . But this marriage thing na one kind thing ooo. You go work hard wey one woman go cheat, come collect half of your wealth. Na to come marry for Nigeria ooo. . Edopesin: |
The question is can Lowry do this 4 times in a series? The East quite open honestly. But the raptors are quite the real deal defensively. And the Lakers better hope this is not the team that comes out of the east, if they come out of the west. They are a bad match up. chic2pimp: |
If you have something else to do, i implore you do go and do it. I have gone back and forth with that guy, and i hope he's seeing this. His opinions lack depth. He claims he's backed his opinion that candles cannot be part of the new covenant but he's not done so. I mean they could tell you the Pope wasn't doing hte will of God, or the Catholic church no longer or never enforced the will of God. Once you exchange a couple of posts, you may want to get on with osmething more useful, once you realize the dent in their argument. It's sometimes frustrating that there are lots of holes in someone's argument but they refuse to realize it. They keep bringing up passages that do not directly address the point, and claim it implies it. For someone that accuses me of using reasoning, i am quite dissapointed he doesn't realize that's exactly what he's doing. Ki Olu ijo mimo kowa Moo se. All the best. Zoey95: |
Your opinions are devoid of depth. You keep referring to the fact that Christ ended some practices but you refuse to mention which practices and ofcouse support them with scripture, which is quite funny, cos the so called "pentecostal Churches" in Nigeran terms claim they know a lot about the Bible. You have been far from convincing. I don't want to continue this cos you have been superficial at best. But that's ok. To each his own. I'll leave it at that. And i pray that the spirit of God guides us. Nauttyprof: |
While it's true that other pentecostal churches and Cele have the gift of the holy spirit thing in common, in which even they are different in the the gifts operate, i wouldn't call CCC a pentecostal church if your definition of pentecostal is what is seen in the RCCGs, Living Faith e.t.c, cos CCC is diffewrent with repsect to a lot of other things. Now if your definition of pentecostal stops at the manifestation of the gifts of the holy spirit, as mentioned in the Bible, then yes. MiddleDimension: |
I could say your opinion is based on your thougts and reasoning as well. Hebrew 8 vs 7 says if there had been nothing wrong with the first covenant, there wouldn't have been a new one. The question is the first covenant was wrong with respect to what? Verse 8 says, but God found fault with the people, so humans are part of the reason. The laws were made for us. Vs 13 says by calling the new covenant new, he has made tho old obsolete. Obsolete doesn't mean wrong. It means you are no longer bound to it. And yes there are many things that became obsolete when the new covenant came. The question is which. In your previous post you mentioned that candles were part of them and i say that's erroneous. That's not the position of the Bible. I would appreciate it if you can provided a passage that say's it's one of it. You keep regurgitating the same things. I clearly now understand what the problem is. We are definitely not on the same page with regards to what has been corrected. I state in all confidence that there was no correction with respect to the use of candles as done by the Isrealites. I would like you to provide a passage that says the use of candlessticks e.t.c. Note that i am definitely not talking about animal sacrifice, cos it's True the new covenant renders that Obsolete. You seem you think you know a lot, but that depth is lacking, honestly. And you are using words inapproiately. You say you should not go against, but it can only be said that you have gone against a principle if the principles entails don't do something and you do it or it says definitively do something and you refuse to do it. If the Bible doesn't talk about an issue, it's within your discretion and in accordance to the holy spirit. Nauttyprof: |
You don't seem to udnerstand what contradiction means. I implore you to bring up anything that CCC does in which case the Bible says don't do it. Now if you know any then that's a contradiction. We could therefore discuss what you think is contradictory regarding this. Note i am not referring to issues the Bible didn't resolve. And it's not for you to say that the Apostles would have mentioned them. It has to be revealed to you for you to mention it. The New testament was written by different people. Some where historical, as in the Gospels- in relation to the teachings of Jusus, and others were with respect to how a christian should live their lives. Why were there different apostles and prophets? I mean i could say only one prohet is needed. To different Eras and people are different issues in the Church, and the apostles as directed therefore laid emphasis on resolving these issues. It's erroneous to say the Apostles should have mentioned it. In fact perhaps there were, but the Apostles didn't deem them ungodly, and so didn't mention them. How about that? If the bible instructs me to do something or not do something and i don't do it or do it respectively, that's a problem and ungodly. Nauttyprof: |
I am sorry, but it's an error to say there were errors in the old testament. It's akin to saying God wasn't in his right senses when he established those laws. Although i certainly believe that the rules that apply may change from time to time, which is usually a function of humans and the perpetual love of God for us- We are addicted to flouting rules laid down. This is confirmed by John 3 vs 16. Now your last sentence is a serious error as well. You mentioned that the death of christ put an end to the lighting of the candles. We know that Christ died for the atonement of our sins, so it means anything that was previously done by the Isrealites for the atonement such as animal sacrifice is redundant. This doesn't even mean it's wrong to do it, but it means you are no longer bound to it. So the question is were the lighting of candles part of atonement? The answer is No. You definitely need to read your bible well. The lighting of candles was particularly part of worship. I would say though that the fact that the Isrealites did certain things does not mean we should do them. It was given to them as part of their covenant with God. So if you apply them you may not receive the blessings promised. However if the holy spirit directs you to incorporate so so so and so into your worship as part of a covenant which is the case in CCC, then as a member of that fold you must do it to reap the blessings thereof. And God in his infinte wisdom can reenact whatever rule, however he pleases in whichever dispensation. His thoughts are not our thoughts neither his ways our ways. God chose Abraham, and subsequently his decendants. Does it mean Abraham was the only one who worshipped God? We may never know cos there was no such discussion, unless the holy spirit reveals it. God does whatever pleases him. You can argue from today to tomorrow on what you think the bible is saying, and you are definitely within your rights to argue it, i nwhich case you may be partially incorrect. It's what you know. God uses people differently. He may use one one way, and another a different way. You all seem to think there's a well defined template for christians. No there isn't. There are definitely certain basic principles that a christian must abide by. And especially, if the Bible instructs you not to do something then you mustn't do it. The Bible is silent on some matters. But the fact that something wasn't mentioned in the bible doesn't mean it's wrong. So the statement that the Bible doesn't say you can do something doesn't mean it's wrong. That's why the holy spirit is important to our existense. If you are faced with issues not resolved definitivley in the bible seek the direction of the holyspirit. If the Spirit of God directs some people to worship in a certain way, so be it. May the spirit of God guide us. Nauttyprof: |
Please be careful what explanation you provide for each activity perfomed in Cele. Your anology regarding the teaching of Jesus with respect to a candle iunder a bushel is nto quite useful. In that instance it was symbolic. The candles may not have been referring to the church. It may just have been referring to people lighting candles at night. Now the use of candles in worship is specific to Cele and in accordance to the direction of the holy spirit. Anyone can argue that could not have been the holy spirit. So many so called "christians" tell you that christians must live only according to the Bible. It's mentioned in John 21 vs 25 that Jesus Christ did so many other things- which may include the fact that he said so many other things to- that if they were written down the world would not have enough rooms to contain them. So when the holy spirit tells you to do something and it's not in the Bible, it would be foolish to argue that i won't do it cause it's not in the bible. So it ultimately comes down to this quesiton: Was that message of the Holy spirit? If the spirit of God decides to reenact certain rules in a particular fold or mandate that certain modes of worship, which may be ancient be specific to a particular fold so be it. The Naysayers may object and claim it's not biblical or unchristian. That's their problem. The ways of God are mysterious. May the spirit of God guide us. Mihzwhitesutana: |
Arabirin, you seem to know what christianity entails. Enlighten us please. Is there a universal definition for what spiritual activities a christian can do? How is the use of incense, candles in your worship unchristian? If you were directed by the holy spirit to do so, so be it. You could argue that it could not have been according to the direction of the holy spirit, it must have been according to the man, but why would you think the holyspirit cannot provide such a driection? Who are you to decide what kind of direction the holyspirit provides? Lady say what you know and don't generalize it if you are not knowledgeable enough. In fact the direction of the holy spirit is not not necessary knowledge-based. The holyspirit can direct you to do something in a certain situation now, but tell you to do something else in the same situation tomorrow. Kweensavvy: |
The logo cotains one eye so what? Have you asked anyone what it means? Brandish the cross every time. What does that even mean? He went to the crosss not by choice? Are you serious? What happened to the son of man will suffer? You see as it turns out we can read the same part of the bible and interprete them differently, although their certain passages that contextually clear in their message. Saying the Bible is the rule book of christianity is not enough. I suppose that's why the Holy spirit is needed. You May the lord guide us. Built2last: |
What Nonsense. Why the need to defend yourself? This subject has become stale. Those that think CCC is fetish will continue thinking that. Some don't seem to understand what fetish means and whether it applies in this case. How's taking someone to the river for a spiritual fetish in accordance to the direction of the Holy spirit? The key question is, are you doing it in accordance to the direction of the holy spirit? Whatever spiritual action you take can only be defined as fetish if you consult the spirit of an object or a body to perform miracles. You may argue that oo, why do you need the candles for deliverance. Why do you have to use objects in your prayers? Well i am not saying those that do it always do it in accordance with the direction of the holy spirit, cos that's not true. Some are doing it in certain situations cos others did it in the same situations. Which is wrong, but again humans tend to be abusive. In facts the prophets under the guise of "God said" are abusive too. Ou lord Jesus christ healed several people by making utterances but in John 9 vs 6, he spat on the ground mixed it with mud, smeared it on his eyes and instructed him to go to the Siloam pool to wash it. Isn't strange. Christians have different explanationsfor why Jesus did this, but as they say the ways of God are mysterious. You could go back in time to when Naaman was healed of leprosy. It's normal to wonder why certain activities are required for miracles. The scripture admonishes us to test all spirits, so i'll advise that the worshipers should be careful about how they handle the prophecies addressed to them. Our lord Jesus christ also taught us in the form a parable that we should let the weeds and wheat grow together until the time of harvest. So the fact that some people indulge in diabolic activities doesn't nullify the mandate of a fold. The faithful worshippers will definitely receive the blessings of adhering to the laid down principles. I will admit though, the management of the church, especially at the local level, are somewhat generally lax in their efforts towards instilling discipline in members. In some cases the shepherds are involved in ungodly activities themselves. If you notice the members of your parish are involved in ungodly activities, i beleive it's important you admonish them to turn away from their ways. But any church would have some members doing ungodly deeds. It would be pretentious to think otherwise. This is not to defend CCC. It's just to bring to light some misconceptions regarding what is fetish and what is not. Some come here making al ot of noise regarding the white garment churches especially CCC, but have never attended any CCC service. They are just reiterating what they heard. Some will insult the church but attend their harvest. . I'll leave this song to the faithfuls. Ma sise lo, ma se wa isimi, Ma furugbin, Olukore mbo, Oju Oluwa nwo ise re, 5. ref Chorus: Awon angeli mimo nko won, Iba se rere tabi ibi, Ere ise re ni iwo yio gba. 4. ref 2. Ye keep idling-away without toilling, When many people are busy working, The eyes of the Lord are set on your works. At this instant, the trumpet keeps sounding, Pick thy implements, the hour now cometh, No more mercy, mercy of old. Chorus: Holy angels are now recording them, Be it good or be it evil, Thou shall be rewarded accordingly. May the lord help us |
The Nonsense talk was you suggesting that some women don't talk, inorder to cover for their husbands. A premise for the further argument that a lot of women are breadwinners. That argument is not useful. What does it even mean? Oh lots of women bear the financial burden of the families, some of them just don't talk about. What!. Say something. And yeah, it's ok to indicate that something is Nonsense, especially if it's a line of thought, so that person does better. Any man that thinks women that bear most of hte financial burden of their families don't exist is just being disingenuous, but going further to argue that there are lots of them is quite dissapointing. At the moment the dynamics of our socio-economic envioronment doesn't help the your case. Palema007: |
Woman, stop this nonsense talk. Cover up wetin? Most female breadwinner will make everyone know they are bearing most of the financial responsibilities codedly. Perhaps rare is too little. But yes they are small. Most of the time men bear the financial responsibilities. Palema007: |
But one in a hundred is equivalent to millions now. ![]() hashtagged: |
Very pessimistic somebori. . You self why would you marry a man not prudent financially? You don't seem to understand what solid means. The man must earn enough money that would enable him to be able to set aside some for rainy days. Sixfeetbelle: |
Why i dey go find trouble look for modern woman? Who modern help? . To each his own. Good luck, modern woman. ![]() Sixfeetbelle: |
I have my reasons for wanting to shoulder all financial duties. I prefer a well-defiend role. I don't want to start arguing about how much financial responsibilities the lady is bearing and how much household responsibilities i have to bear commensurately. I mean what does 20% household responsibilities constitute? Wash plates ones a week? Bathe the baby twice a week? Go ot hte market once a week? or any combination of these and more. I am not even saying i won't do any of the household duties. I am saying i'll only do it whenever i want to, not cos it's my responsibility. Perhaps the food was too sweet, so i am doing the chores today, or last night was fantabulous. , and so on na so forth. And for your last point the goal of the man should be to strive to be solid financially. We both know wealth is relative. I don't need Dangote's money to be financially solid. Na dat kind money i consider extreme wealthy. I am talking about a monthly income in excess of 500k. That's definitely well below anything that suggests one is wealthy, but it's solid. If you live within your means you'll just be fine. No be to earn 1million naira go rent house for Lekki. That one na living above your means.Sixfeetbelle: |
Sixfeetbelle:Doing 20% financially? How many women do that? Most make money and still keep it for themselves. You were not paying attention woman. The reason you i gave you money to start up something is to massage your ego of wanting some financial independence. . I'll make sure i don't need your money for anything. I'll make sure you don't have to make any contribution. Just relax. That's why i don't criticize women that tell men to go and make money, or women that emphasize on the fact that they consider men that are finacially stable for marriage. It's what i am supposed to do. Make money. That kind of gold-digging requirement is acceptable. . So don't worry, unless you are married i'll make surplus money and come for you. I am getting there. ![]() |
A man may be able to bear all the financial burden and not be a top 50 salary earner. There's something such as living within your means. A man can be earning 250000 naira as salary and be living confortably with a wife and maybe a kid. A smart man understands that it's always better to find alternative sources of income. Life is uncertain. You could even put her in charge one of those businesses-I can go out of my way to pamper your ego -I wanna do this business, i wanna to that business. Ok start your business with this.. But a wife working from 8am - 6 pm is a No No. Preferably whatever business you are doing should be close to home.Sixfeetbelle: |
A man that marries a woman financially more capable should get ready for a miserable life. I don't think i can sleep well at night, with the thought that my wife is richer than i am. WandaMaximoff: |
What Nonsense. Equally work hard? Your message comes across as if most women work and contribute equally towards the financial burden at home. Oh so what our forefathers were doing in which women and men had well-defined roles wasn't common sense. What Nonsense. But again everyone wants different things from their women. So go for a woman that best fits your definition of a wife. I will take the pregnant women argument though. That would be quite callous. If i am goign ot bear the financial burden of the family. You better devote as much time as possible to keeping our household in order physically and socially, which includes tending for the kids. If you want us to share those other duties- which in fact doesn't quite fit the role of man, and will likely make him miserable, she better bring a financial contribution of 50% to the table. Perhaps that's how life just works. Perhaps we do need dunces within our ranks to satisfy the ego and agenda of some of these so-called career women/independen women/feminists. Always using Oyinbo life as a yardstick. What a bunch of crap. Be very careful, man. ![]() J111333: |
