lexy2014:The government has been negligent in its duty of security to the citizens no doubt. Indeed she has been negligent in many more sectors and over the years of misrule and negligence by successful government, the rot and decay has festered and worsened. I even blame the SW leaders who have engaged in a conspiracy of silence for months since this menace started. The OPC claimed to have called their attention to it months ago but got no encouraging response from these same governors and royal fathers possibly because they didn't wanna shake some table. But who says they can't do some things underground, huh? And that is where I give it to Fayose. They could have gathered together some local hunters, put them on payroll of less than 20 million naira of the monthly 300 million naira security votes, instruct them to search the forests, find those fools and silently take them out. They don't even need to blow it out, simply train them on the use of some anaesthetic neuro chemicals to knock out those guys as they come across them, then inject them with cyanide or arsenic and set them free to go and die in their camp. By the time they are getting ill and dying in their numbers and have no reasonable explanations to attribute it to and no possible place to direct their vengeance, they will pack their loads and leave. That's one thing the military would do. If they realize that out right incarceration or killing would raise some dust, just do it in an untraceable manner. Some accidents here, some I explained illness there. That's what the Isreali secret service does to some of their terrorist captives. If I were the president, that is what I may order be done to some established corrupt criminals that I know I will find difficulty giving explanations to some sentimental ethnoreligious bigots who will keep fighting on their behalf. Loot the money, fine. But if you are found guilty, you won't be alive to spend it as you would die an miserable and mysterious death and then your amassed wealth will be auctioned for the state just as Abacha's is being done today. This will ensure that their children will not be running their useless mouth insulting Nigerians that their fathers or Mothers were not corrupt when alive and still flaunt that ill-gotten wealth in our faces. It's simpu sturvs, really. |

Maybe NERC should ignore the ineptitude of BEDC and come to investigate the reasons why I must opt for alternative energy in my home. After all, the electric perimeter fence it powers pose the danger of electrocution to the citizens (intruders). Directorate of Water resources should do likewise to investigate why I decide to sink a borehole for water supply for my street people. Heck, the police commission should arrest me for having CCTVs and intruder defence systems manning my house 24/7 rather than waiting for the police to protect me. |
MetaPhysical:Here is someone with good understanding of the politics at play here. Rather than outright confrontation, strategized planning in form of dialogue together with underground reconnaissance and subtle armed approach in those hot spots, is a more civil approach. I think the marauders (fulfude herdsmen, bandits, kidnappers and their indigenous cronies) will be watching and have an idea of the impending and inevitable clamp down on their activities. |
KKDUBEM:Haba! How is that even possible from excess s3x? Easy nau. |
pmc01:Woah! This dude has had so much exposure to s3x, at twenty-fvcking-five years old! 400 gigs and counting. That's a lot of downsides at that age. S3x is entangling, specifically the pre-marital and extra-marital ones and most especially if you still have some deep conscience and sense of reasoning left in you. It has this post-episode dampening of the spirit. This by extension usually affects decision making processes and perhaps some physical manifestation of that spiritual connotation. You actually crossed that line of non-chalance of the consequences of your actions and that is why you probably had that high score point of 400+ at 25yrs of age. Good thing that you have episodes of deep introspection which accounts for your decisions to break up with her, but sadly and apparently not to stop your conquest for s3x if it comes your way in other ladies or forms so long as they're not gonna be too restrictive as Bukky's. I think you need a break for some time, make some money and get a wife that can serve you all the s3x you want in a legal, uncompromising, conscionable manner. Damn! At 25, the closest I got to s3x was in my imagination. Random ladies is a no no. The testosterone drive is constantly there but like clockwork with money, you need to always play out the post-encounter scenarios in your head and note that the end of every scenario will usually distasteful. One needs to always be scared of getting spiritually entangled with one random, strange lady let alone 400. Dude, 400 at 25 yrs is a record that I doff my hat for, but I don't think I envy you. |
Peeps need to know that the circuitry in phones involves the use of lithium chemistries in their batteries. Lithium chemistry batteries is unstable at unregulated charging algorithms. As such, the circuitry has BMS (battery Management Systems) built in. This cuts of the charging current when it senses that the battery is fully charged. This is the most basic of lithium charging algorithms that has even been well perfected in tablets and laptops (which all use lithium chemistries). Your bluetooth earpieces, hearing aids, rechargeable clippers, the electric cars and several other gadgets out there utilize lithium batteries in one form or another. If this regulated charges are not included, then we would have had several pockets of explosions occurring on daily basis. Although I can't categorically say, but I guess the Samsung phones explosions of then had something to do with faulty charging algorithms and it was a factory fault. Lithium battery explosions that I have witnessed is not ballistic like is shown in the video. It is something more of smokes, blue flames, and some pyrotechnics at best. The video appears staged. |

I can't but notice a trend on this thread: Peeps who are not from South west majorly badmouthed and insulted the SW on this thread. There is a lot of blames and gloating in their statements. Conversely, the South west guys here in their post did not even reply the insults or engage in war of words against the criticisms (constructive or not) directed at them or their region warranted by this sorry state of their environment. Instead what they did was to also direct their criticism at their own leaders who brought about this sorry state that opened the region up to ridicule. Some in their comments even went further to take the blames in instances where the citizens are culpable, contributing to this problem through indiscriminate disposal of refuse in drains constructed by the government, at the same time having the insight that if that attitude is not changed, there may not be a solution in sight anytime soon. What is the likely result from this: The foolish leaders who left their jobs undone will realize that they have no supporters even among their own people and will therefore realize that they are very vulnerable and their relevance will be threatened if they refuse to do the right thing or right the wrongs they have done to their people. The only way to therefore garner that support from their people will be to develop their states. What a very lovely play out. The citizens with insight and who desire a positive change will on their own part have a change of attitude when it comes to proper disposal of refuse. If only Nigerians irrespective of ethnic or religious affiliations unite to condemn and fight those leaders that have put them under slavery in their own country, eschew nepotism and forge a united front to fight off the ethno-religious divisive tactics of these slave drivers, Nigeria will be a better place for all to live. |
TheGameYard:I have not seen reason to believe Fashola is doing appreciably well in the power industry. BEDC has refused to distribute prepaid metres to consumers the estimated billings is killing. Anyways what's my own, I'm not even on grid, I remain on green until that prepaid meter is allocated to me. |
Tomide007:Amaechi is going nowhere. PMB will be unreasonable to send him home. He has proven himself worthy of another four years of service in the cabinet as the minister of works. I just pray PMB will be able to, with the 9th senate make laws that will drastically review and reduce the emoluments and allowances of the lawmakers. He should kick start the gradual process of making political positions financially unattractive as it used to be at OBJ's first term. It was his inordinate ambition for a 3rd term that made him to indulge im Ghana-must-go gifts to the lawmakers. Then their eyes opened to wealth and from then onwards they have gradually inflated their emoluments without the knowledge of Nigerians. |
mctfopt:I have not really had ugly experiences with Nigerian post. Matter of fact, it seems NIPOST is trying so hard to re-brand itself as a reliable and dependable company with their recent impressive performance in item delivery. I guess the swap occurred at the point of inspection by customs. I noticed that some of my parcels are occasionally opened and re-sealed. That is not bad in itself as it is to ensure that the items described in the parcel is what is inside and not some contraband good and it is usually perfectly re-sealed. Problem is when the description on it says "phone" and the officer goes ahead to open it, not with the intent to confirm the item but with the intent to steal. By the way, this does not only occur in Nigeria. The difference is that the culprits are usually caught in saner climes. Something of that sort occurred in the US involving the officers charged with checking out goods at airports. Hundreds of tablets and apple ipads kept missing. So one journalist set up his device and had the location turned on. It was tracked to house of one of the officers. He initially denied it, but a spy application installed on the device kept beeping/ringing when it was pinged from tracker that the journalist held. I used to have the video of the crime burst. |
The closure is only expected to slow affect travellers on Ibadan bound segment of the dual carriageway. The Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun State Command has announced the temporary closure of a section of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The command in a statement issued on Wednesday said the temporary closure will affect only the Ibadan bound carriageway of the expressway from Magboro to Kara and Ibafo. The affected section will be closed from Wednesday, May 22 till Friday, May 24. The three-day closure is to enable Julius Berger Nigeria plc lay asphalt on that section of the road. “This is to inform the motoring public that Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, currently rehabilitating the Lagos – Ibadan Expressway, would be temporarily closing only the Ibadan bound carriageway from Magboro to Kara and Ibafo, scheduled to commence from Wednesday 22 May 2019 and reopened on Friday 24 May 2019. “The temporary closure is to lay a section of 400m of wearing asphaltic surface on the affected section of the corridor. “The closure would not affect traffic inbound Lagos around the affected road, but would narrow the carriageway which is expected to build up traffic around the mentioned sections,” the statement read in part. The FRSC Sector Commander Clement Oladele therefore advised motorists to note the occurrence and plan their trips, while those using the corridor within the period should obey all traffic rules and regulations, including refraining from driving against traffic, as violators are liable to be apprehended for dangerous driving which attracts the fines of fifty thousand naira (N50,000) and impoundment of the erring vehicle. The FRSC working with sister traffic agencies will maintain visibility to ease the traffic discomfort the temporary closure of that section of the corridor would cause. https://www.channelstv.com/2019/05/22/frsc-closes-sections-of-lagos-ibadan-expressway-till-friday/

Athena4:This is a guy with foresight. Ever since the headline trended, I have begun binging"how to make paper bags". I have listed out names of potential friends that can be great business patners. |
I think the game has been perfected. They didn't intend to go through with the court case in the first place, apparently because there was no case in the first instance cos of false allegation. But hey, the rumours have been kick-started. There is nothing the CJN will do now, the first comment from some NL and "facebookers" will be: A CJN that falsified his age and as for the presidency, you get to hear things like: PMB removed Onnoghen by accusing him of false declaration, yet he kept this new CJN who is also alleged to have falsely declared his age. If you notice, some comments before mine have begun to take that dimension. As convinced as I almost was about that Jibril al'sudani thing, feeling bad that such a crazy arrangement took place under our very noses, it is now certain that it was all a ruse by troublemakers. I'd rather they make constructive criticisms rather than raise false alarms. Perfect game, it is. |
I think the diplomatic mission to Ukraine should be preserved. A handful of Nigerians attend their universities, especially medical school. So who now oversees the welfare of those Nigerians? |
brainpulse:I will definitely have an Innoson vehicle in my fleet. I just wanna have that nice feeling of supporting local content. But the OP did not do justice to his post. Inadequate pictures and no expected, or at least an estimated starting price tag. The car makes some sense too. 1.8 litres is not bad for a cross over. The corollas and primeras have 1.6L, 1.8L and 2.0L trims and those small engines boast good mileage. |
iukpe:Except you have a magnetic switch somehow attached to a point between that generator and the metal housing that activates the alarm, then that is a possibility. I don't like using PIR sensors for outside use because the false positives is too much. Even if a dog moves near it, it activates the alarm. An better alternative will be photocell or ultrasonic sensor. Those ones have lower false positives. But you will need a number of them for perimeter monitoring especially if you have a large property like that in the video. I am working on the possibility of tweaking a laser trip sensor cos with that all you will require is the laser, the laser sensor and a few mirrors to cover a wide perimeter. Lastly, the best option for the owner of the property in that video, given the fact that he has a CCTV already will have been to use a motion sensitive wifi IP or AVD cam hooked up to both his NVR and SIM card enabled wifi home alarm system. Once the camera senses the movement, it activates the NVR to recorsd and simultaneously triggers the alarm that calls your phone number or sends an SMS as the case may be. |
I'm so sure on this, no shaking for Amaechi. PMB has no choice but to retain him unless of course he wants the progress so far achieved in revamping the railway to get tangled. Amaechi will meet his own full karma after 2023. Meanwhile all other useless governors that looted their state's treasury and owed salaries without reason to do so should start expecting the tough life outside the government house from May 29. |

ronyking247:Once used a 22" gotten off of Konga on promo price. It's not so bad as it served well for the two months it was in use. Sold it off when I found out it has no Eco mode/power saving mode. It consumed 40 watts tops. That's non-sustainable and crazy terrible for a 22" with no Eco mode option. But I don't know much about the higher dimensions sha. |

ronyking247: acunon:This is one thing that believe I have advised Acunon here on as better side attraction to his offerings here. I think I even advised him to get a wattmeter (less than 7k) as a useful tool and always test the TVs with full watt rating and also with "power saving mode" rating and include those results as part of his specs for each product. I believe you can get <70 watts consumption on TVs ranging from 40" to 60". It simply depends on your settings and also om the type of TV. Most LGs and Samsungs have energy saving modes that you can activate when in use. Some certain brands lack that feature and you are therefore at the mercy of their power hogging performance. There is a standard consumption rating that comes with every TV label and that is what I believe Acunon based his reply on. I have seen 60" TVs with standard watt rating of 120 watts that goes down to 45 watts at power saving mode and that is the products made for Nigeria. It more likely even gets better with products made for the US and EU like the ones Acunon has on offer here. So Acunon, FYI the first thing I scan for when I see specs for any product of my interest here is the power consumption and if it has the power saving option. Sadly you hardly bother to put those and I simply move on. Again I repeat, getting yourself a wattmeter will greatly help your ministry especially for sales on Nairaland. "Either on GRID or on GREEN, power saving devices should be the most desirable©" |
acunon:With this Freeview, is the use limited only to channels received by the in-built satellite received on the TV or does it also include ability to record and rewind/FF programs from connected peripherals like Startimes decoders, DSTV decoders or webcasts from TV apps like Netflix? |
Lifedontireme123:My apologies if the computer misrepresented facts. But please no need to go slamming invectives on yourself just to prove a point. Let your no be no and your yes be yes. It is left to anyone to believe you or not, not your business to curse yourself just to make 'em believe you. I wish you good luck in getting the help you sincerely seek. |
Hoogee:Thank you brotherly. God bless you yanfuyanfu and your country is proud of you. |
rexesq:I don't think 3 years is sufficient to get to this stage you suggest. The owners of that place shown in the picture actually attained that stage after DECADES of SUSTAINED CONSTRUCTION of those. They didn't "cash out" and left jobs undone. |
willibounce1:They cashed out but delivered, perhaps below par. That is eons better and preferable than the stupid politicians that have over the years "cashed out but failed to deliver", their disgusting attitude putting us in this ugly China deal in the first place. |
Deathisfree:In order of arrest: * ABS (Saraki) - That dude still dey do damage beyond what he did in Kwara. He has destroyed so many lives since his days as GM savannah bank. * Atiku - He has apparently shown he disregards the interest of majority of Nigerians through his barefaced purchase of loyalty against Nigerians. Bribed his way to be elected flagbearer, confirming his former boss' (OBJ) insinuations. * Tinubu - Ah, diswan eh? I want his purported aspirations to contest presidency come 2023 to become a mirage. I know he has the financial prowess to buy and bribe his way through just like Atiku did and is trying to consolidate, and this will not to the best interest of Nigerians as his dream is not to actually serve thru that position, but to be the president before his death (same as Atiku's aspiration). He is gonna do himself so much good remaining in that niche of kingmaker he has carved for himself cos give it to him, he seems to always have good eyes for good performers. But as president, Mbanu! * OBJ - That one is closer to his grave than he thinks. So as it apparently is that he is untouchable being an ex-president and all that shitshyte, I will suggest that ALL he ever acquired in his life should upon his demise, be converted into state property while the monies he has should be channelled into social intervention programmes for the poor (similar to but not like Abacha's loot being made Trader Moni) * Ibori - This dude has gone quiescent in recent times, but that does not quieten the woes of the youths and people of Delta state that he looted their future. He should pay somehow. Now you may say that why cry more than the bereaved (Delta state indigenes)? Truth is that the psyche of the average Nigerian has been so distorted and bastardized by these useless politicians that Stockholm syndrome has become the order of the day and it's gonna take sustained punishment and prosecution of their captors for a very long time to reset to normal the perception of the captives. * Amaechi - That one is inherently evil, indeed most politicians are inherently wicked but strong institutions and an "un-enabling" environment like the portfolio he currently occupies gives him no choice but to perform and deliver or risk being fed to Wicked Wike his rival. So I will safely assume that his present caged position is enough toture for him. After he has rightly delivered as a minister, making sure he has no opportunity to loot during this period, he can then be left off to lick his wounds and probably be vulnerable prey to River's state indegenes. * I think Dino should be in that picture and he definitely will come before PMB. * As for PMB own, Well we can only be so sure of his real claims when he retires back to his village, just like the mess of GEJ was bared for all to see. But before then, I hope the stupid senate and lawmakers will be sensible enough to remove every form of immunity post retirement for themselves and every public officer for that matter so that they can be prosecuted like Modi of Egypt if any crime as little as perjury is linked to 'em. |
