If you're interested in getting papers as well, look at Canada and Nordic Europe and Australia.
For most of these schools, you will need: - IELTS - GRE in related subjects - Degree Evaluation of your BSc. If your uni is Covenant or a Federal university, you're better placed.
If you can take an international certification exam for your degree (CPA for Accounting for example), even better. |

I'm 5'11. I had a girlfriend for a number of years who was 5'9 and loved wearing 4-6" shoes. Didn't affect me one bit tbh. In fact, she was the one who was concerned that she'll look too tall. I never once asked her to wear a flat shoe because of insecurity.
After we broke up, but while we were still talking almost every day, she told me how shocked she was when a guy around her height was annoyed that she wore heels to a date. |

Everyone should be marketing themselves and going after who they want. Not just men, women are (and frankly have always) going after men they want and like. If you see a guy you want and like, ask him out, get him to ask you out. The earliest birds get the worms. Chi59: I no longer believe this anymore. |

I would but we can't live in Nigeria or USA. We need to live in a country with proper healthcare that won't be limited by cost. Chi59: As the world sickle cell day approaches in three days time, I think about sickle cell and the impacts on various aspects of my life, especially my love life.
I haven't actually been in a relationship yet. And while I want to think that it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a sickler, I've noticed a certain trend in the guys I've come to like.
The initial promises, the show of affection, the hesitation, lies and sudden disappearance seems to be a vicious cycle.
So I want to ask, why is that so? Would you date a sickler if you could? Why wouldn't you want to date a sickler?

Christianity Etc › Re: Coronavirus: Do You Feel Safe Going To Church?? by cooooooks(m): 4:14pm On Mar 15, 2020 |
Lol Eviana: I went to church. I think people need to be wise yet practical. While people should be informed and cautious about any worldwide pestilence, all a professor of Christ "can" and "should" do is pray about the entire situation, be vigilante and consistent about being as clean (washing hands with soap thoroughly, using hand sanitizer, Clorox, Lysol or powerful chemicals that can kill germs etc.)as one can and continue living life. Do not deliberately put vulnerable people (sickly elderly people--aged 65-70 and above- or immunocompromised people etc.) in situations where they can be more at risk (ex. large crowds etc.) When one has done all one can do practically, then leave it in God's hands. Being fearful or afraid to the point where one becomes irrational is unhealthy and destructive. Unbridled fear can debilitate or paralyze a person...which is not good. Christians should not be living that way...as if they do not have a Father in Heaven who still rules this entire planet and understand what is occurring.

Travel › Re: I Need Your Migration Advice Please, I'm About To Make A Life Changing Decision. by cooooooks(m): 12:50pm On Mar 11, 2020 |
For Canada: The most convenient method is to apply to a certificate program that lasts 18-24 months. These programs are usually relatively cheap and you could pay for them yourself if you work well (within legal limits). After the program, you will get a work permit equal to the length of the program. Then after that, depending on the province you choose, you get permanent residence. Many colleges will give you admission before you can finish saying I want to apply. Remember that your bachelor's degree will have to be evaluated and employers do not value foreign bachelor's highly. Fine-tune your approach by looking at jobs in the cities that interest you. Check out Germany, Brazil, Korea, Scandinavia, etc. I know someone who studied French and international studies in Ibadan, got a fully funded scholarship to do Masters in Brazil, finished and got full funding to do PhD there too then did a test sabbatical in Canada. At that point, it was his decision whether to move to Canada or stay in Brazil. Iamsoworried123: Hi guys!
I and a friend are looking to migrate to the same country by January 2021 via post-graduate studies and we don't want to make the wrong decision. Your advice would be appreciated.
We've narrowed the countries down to three (U.S, Canada, and the U.K.). Although the dream country is the U.S., we're looking for one out of these three that is;
A. Easy to get a job in and stay back after graduation (with a high chance of getting a residence permit)
B. Relatively inexpensive (Although cost would not be a big issue, but the easier it is to get funding and GA positions, the better)
Quick profile of the two of us;
Person A studied Geology
Person B studied History and International Studies
I'm aware those in the STEM field have a higher chance of getting jobs and it's difficult to get a H1-B U.S Visa (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Given the recent change in U.S. immigration laws, which one of these three countries do we stand the highest chance of getting jobs and residing after studies?
Please advise.
Thank you very much!
Can this get to the front page, please? I need as many contributions as I can get. Thanks. |

Run. This guy will kill you OR you will live in FEAR. Timson01: We have only been married for three (3) months. February 12 was my husband’s birthday, but being that it fell on a Wednesday, we decided to mark it on Sunday, February 16. We hosted friends to a-get-together in our home. I did a lot to make the day memorable. The last group of friends left around 9:30pm and by the time we were done cleaning up, it was about 11pm. We had our bath and all I could think of was sleep, but my husband was thinking differently. He wanted sex, but I was just too tired for anything so I said NO and asked him to wait until morning. My husband angrily left the bedroom and I drifted off to sleep because I was too tired, but I was woken up with a slap in my face. I thought I was dreaming, but I wasn’t. I was startled when I saw that it was my husband who actually dealt me a slap! As I wanted to ask him what the issue was, he gave me another slap and said I had no right to deny him sex. I was forced to slap him back, but that made him angrier, he hit me back and pinned me down- I struggled with him, but he overpowered me. He tore my nightwear and RAPED me to his satisfaction. I still do not believe this happened. I was too tired- was I wrong to ask him to wait until the next day? Was he right to have slapped me? Was he right to have raped me? SEX! Should it have been because of sex? We still had sex a night before- in fact early that morning- three (3) hot rounds. It’s been three days after the incident, he’s still feeling fly like he was right.
Somebody please advise me on what to do? |

Family › Re: I Suspect My Wife Is Setting Me Up With Her Friend by cooooooks(m): 3:18pm On Feb 14, 2020 |
Frankly, I don't see what the big deal is. You suspect your wife is bi and bi with this woman. Ehen. So? It's no big deal. You have already had sex with the lady. You and your wife should speak frankly with each other. This is one of those times where honest conversations will solve all these manufactured problems. Overlordship: Hello all, I got married to my wife 9 months ago and it has been a wonderful experience all through until her friend showed up two months ago. That was actually the first time I was meeting her as she wasn’t around for our wedding as she was doing her masters programme in South Africa. I knew she and my wife were closed as she was always talking about her best friend while we were courting.
She showed up at our house and I thought she came to visit and catch up with old times with my wife so I gladly welcome her. Later in the night, my wife told me she will be staying with us for sometimes while she gets a job. I was upset because we never discussed it before and I made my feeling known. Nevertheless, I had to give in since she said the friend also accommodated her in her room back at school for a session. So, I accepted her living with us and I felt it was only for a short time. We gave her the visitor’s room.
The first trouble started when I noticed her night gown barely covered her bum and sometimes were transparent with her boobs showing whenever she comes to the sitting room. I expressed my reservations about it to my wife and she dismissed it playfully that it was nothing and that what were my eyes wandering there for, so I let it go. Sometimes, she will enter her bedroom without knocking saying she wants to gist with her friend. And I will just stay on my side of the bed playing with my phone while the both talked. I noticed my wife doesn’t care, but I don’t want any issue with her so I accepted it with the hope her friend will soon leave the house.
I must admit that the friend was a bit useful in the house. My wife closes late than I, and her friend stays home when she’s not job hunting, so sometimes she would have cooked before we arrived. Though, I complained about this also, but wifey believe it was trivial. Her friend was intelligent and as times goes on, we talked on a wide range of topic while waiting for wife to come back from home so I stopped complaining about her to my wife.
It became so normal about her dressing that I accepted it like that. There was a day she came to our room to gist with my wife and playfully, my wife hit me with a pillow and before you know it, the three of us were throwing pillows about and playing like kids. They were both jumping on me and incidentally, I had a hard on as we were playin. I noticed her friend was slightly brushing her hand on me. I had to quickly stop and stylishly use the pillow to cover myself until I came down. I was really uncomfortable with the whole situation, but I didn’t complain to my wife again since I know what she will say. What I just keep asking my wife is when her friend was leaving.
The incident that happened two weeks really changed things. My wife took one week leave and decided to visit her parents outside the state we reside. I wasn’t okay with it leaving her friend alone with me, but she said I will just do fine. I tried to come home late for the first three days so I can completely avoid her, until the fourth day when she came into my room. I didn’t want to be rude by asking her to leave, so I asked her to sit down on the sofa in the bedroom. We first spoke about football, politics and other things. I can’t really say what happened, but in a lapse of judgement, we started kissing and then I had sex with her. I felt regret immediately and started apologizing to her for taking advantage of her. What she said really dazzled me. She said I shouldn’t be sorry as my wife never keep talking of our big I am and how sex was so great. And how she wishes her friend can experience what she was talking about.
My regrets turned to anger immediately and I asked her if she and my wife planned this whole episode just to confirm what my wife was boasting about. She denied being in cohort with my wife, but said something that devastated me. She said my wife wouldn’t mind as they sometimes share things together as they are besties for life right from their school days. I had to quickly exit the room to the balcony. We barely talked again until wife came back, though she tried to initiate some conversation, which I rebuffed. My wife further heightened my apprehension when wife asked if her friend really took care of me and that I couldn’t have missed her much since her friend was around. The dilemma now is that I can’t confront my wife about the incident as I will be admitting I slept with her friend. Her friend is also acting normal and I am afraid if she will inform her “bestie for life”. I have been thinking, what if they had been “Sex partners” before and I married a bisexual cos of the way they do play together. I had just been asking her when her friend was leaving and I don’t want to be forceful because of what happened between us.
Note, my wife has been a good wife. All my family member love her like she’s part of them and she is so comfortable with them. We never had any issues except this. I need advice on how to go on so I don’t destroy my marriage. |

Leave her. If she doesn't want to marry, she should go. sylvestersamuel: Good morning my fellow Nairalanders, I will try to make my story brief and precise.... I have a fiancée whom I am already engaged to. As a matter of fact I have already done all our traditional marriage and rites the only thing left is our white wedding which will be coming up in the next 3 weeks.
Yesterday, my fiancée came to visit me in my house so as to discuss our wedding plans. But before she left, we had a slight misunderstanding and the reason for our misunderstanding was because I allocated 50% of our wedding expenses to her i.e (she would be the one to sew her wedding gown, pay for the catering service amongst others) while I take care of other expenses...
On hearing this, she didn't even utter a word but left with annoyance, since then I have been trying to call her but she hasn't been picking my calls neither have she replied any of my messages....
Please I need your advice, did I do or say anything wrong, because I know how much I spent during our traditional marriage rite and mind you, she earns close to 200k per month.... Insult in form of advice is allowed all I need is just your advice. |

Canada has a domestic abuse law. So if you come and can prove abuse, you'll be granted PR. I doubt that they'll grant OR for domestic abuse from here.
I suggest leaving now though. If you guys are married and the proof is on social media, he can't get the visa without you. If he applies as a single guy, they'll dentbhim and ban him for years for lying. |
Family › Re: I Am Sterile But About To Be A Father by cooooooks(m): 1:30am On Feb 06, 2020 |
You should ask her point-blank if she cheated on you. Ask her somewhere private or public and classy. Preface your question with: "There is a reason why I'm asking this". If you're willing to keep the pregnancy, tell her you have not decided on what to do. If you go into this marriage, unless you both reconcile the lies, there will be no peace, no trust, no joy. Romangalactic: I'll try to keep my predicament short. I registered a new account for this purpose but I'm sure many of you will understand that sterility is not something to be announced which is exactly how I got myself in this situation. I am 35 and engaged to a beautiful woman who completes me in every way. As much as it hurts me to say this, I have not been totally honest with her about everything. Just yesterday while we were home together, she told me that she is pregnant . I asked her how sure she is, she said she had done the pee test and that she knows how she is feeling. The issue here is that I am sterile but I have not told her this before so it is impossible that I am responsible.
Please before anyone tells me I deserve this for not opening up to her, I have been undergoing treatment secretly and they say I will be able to father children when it's done so of course, I am hopeful and have not bothered to inform her about any of this. I can't stand losing her for any reason. My issue right now is that I asked my endocrinologist this morning if it's possible that the treatment is already working and he said we have not gone far enough to see any results yet. This means I am definitely not the father of the child she is carrying.
Only one other person in this world knows about my health challenge and that is my cousin. I told him and he told me to break up with my fiancée, someone I have already done introduction with and families are involved. I told him I cannot and that he must take the secret to the grave, he thinks I am making the biggest mistake of my life. Well I told him my plan is to accept the pregnancy and continue to make her think I don't know she cheated on me. I am doing this with the hope that after we get married, my treatment will be completed and everything will be back to normal. But at the same time, I still can't shake the feeling that I am about to marry someone who cheated and is passing off another man's child as mine, I feel cheated and it hurts.
Can anyone else please tell me what to do about this situation I have found myself? Please I just need to hear from other people besides my cousin. Another thing, he has never really liked my fiancée so I feel that also may be his motivation. I need neutral opinions please |

Your husband is scared of being a mugu. There's little trust in this marriage. You guys need to reset ASAP. Distance relationships like this are very common and work. The key is being involved and being honest. Your husband needs to calm down and humble himself. You, knowing your husband's particularity with money, needs to find some ways to appease his fears. Budgets, breakdowns, etc. You should also demand regular video and voice calls. This is the least that can be done in distance relationships. At least twice a week, video call. Including, frankly, sexy times. Good luck. Don't take abuse but don't be too hasty to throw away a marriage. Ijeoma1187: Should I continue to let the cat out of the bag?? It’s really not nice when you come here to make other people look bad .... since your pride won’t let you call my dad.
