This is very sickening, so the life of a chicken is now worth more than that of a human being? God save this generation. |
SlyCharlie:Thanks for understanding, take care. |
Issiijay:*901# |
SlyCharlie:So sorry to burst your bubble, but I bought my Tecno Camon 12 1st week of November last year, and I've been rocking my E-sim via the SimO App since last year. Not new to "chinko" phone users like us. Enjoy your high end phone and please leave cheap phone users like us in peace. |
Susu888:Oyel dey ya head. ![]() But seriously, this fo0ls should stop this show of shame already. They are all just as bad and rotten as each other. They should all just rot in jail already. |
and they keep disgracing their selves. Nonsense! |
Great write up, and this exactly what we are facing in this country. APC leaders who want to meet up to or even surpass the amount looted by the PDP for it's 16years in power. PDP members are crying foul, because APC members are actually schooling them in the act of theft. And they know that revolution can never happen in this country because the oligarchy has successfully used the tools of ethnicity and religion to effectively divide the masses. So all we can do is wallow and cry at our fate, find a way out of this cesspit of a country or find a politician to be paid houseboy/housegirl(concubine/mistress). This is the truth nobody wants to hear. The FG wants to gain some points from the international community in it's corruption fight. So nothing will happen to Magu, we have a very short memory as Nigerians, so Malami will still be seen as a saint. As for me and my family, let this COVID-19 season end soon, then I will make my next move. |
Emilokoiyawon:Must you people tribalise every single thread on NL? This is really getting old. |
vivalavida:Bro, I have been affected by this nonsense twice, two very beautiful and exceptionally hardworking young ladies because of this nonsense caste system. If not for by virtue of my position in the family and the type of family I come from I would have married a none Igbo woman by now and had my peace of mind. That shit is an aberration that needs to end. But the funny thing is that even if you abolish it, people will still go for "I ju ese" once you indicate interest for marriage. It might interest you to know that Eze Nri(Nri being the cradle of Igbo land) held an elaborate sacrifice to appease the gods and completely and totally abolished the OSU caste system in the entire Igbo on December 2018, but our highly educated Imo people still practice this nonsense till this day. It has been abolished in Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi State, It's not seriously considered in Abia State, But Imo State carry am for head. God save us. |
vivalavida:My brother, the thing really pained me, because like two months ago, I lost a very well behaved, crazy girl because of this same Osu nonsense. Imo State in particular carry this OSU thing for head. |
Osagyefo98:Look truth be told, this caste system in Igbo land must stop. Vivalavida, my brother the thing done taya me. I remember that when my Dad was still alive, I asked him about the history of the caste system and what he told me was the truth to me. Osus where criminals, rapist or people who committed unspeakable crimes against the community. The deities being worshipped then needed people to clean the shrines and eat what remained of the sacrifices offered to the gods. I happen to come from a royal family so does vivalavida. My cousin went to plaite her hair in the market, not knowing that it was an osu that plaited her, she got big blisters and boils on her head when she got home. That's to tell you of the spiritual implications of that practice. The ohus where slaves and umes had a distinct body odor that made it easy to identify them. Osus can be identified by where their houses where located, mainly near the market, near the shrines or far away from the community. If you do business close to an Osu, their business grows faster than that of a freeborn because the gods help them, that's why if you trace it most of the richest people in Igboland are Osus, wether the know about it or not. This is an enshrined culture that it will take the special grace of the Almighty God to remove from our psychic as Igbos. I'm fully for the abolishion of all these caste system, but the spiritual part of it must be dealt with as well as changing the mentality of the people practicing it. |
vivalavida:I'm completely and utterly speechless. |
Sammy07:And this is one of the reasons Jonathan lost his southern base. |
And this keeps getting dirtier by the sec. A bunch of privileged buffoons that keeps disgracing their generations before the international community. They are both corrupt and guilty and should rot in jail. |
Gerrard59:Google Cannabis Oil also known as CBD oil, and if you want to research further Google scholarly articles on effects of Cannabis, not propaganda articles against it. I indulge you to be open minded as you study these. |
tsephanyah:Before you throw stones, make sure your not standing in a glass house. Because the rampaging menace of kidnapping and raping of little girls by Boko Haram, Bandits and Fulani herdsmen is in the South right? The news is awash with the lack of sacredness and sanctity of human life in the North everyday, just don't even get me started on the corruption tendencies of our northern politicians, oh I forgot, all the corrupt leaders in the news these days are Southerners abi or it is the South that has misruled this nation for over 45years out of the 60years of this countries existence. Get off your high horses, woman. Wake up and smell the coffee, the North (particularly the northern muslims) are the problem of this country. QED!!! |
Anuoluwa1234:This your assertion is completely wrong and totally unscientifically proven. The best graduating student in my class during my undergraduate days, was an addicted weed smoker. I myself though a recreational marijuana smoker, made a 4.87CGPA in my Post Graduate studies, with a few international awards and numerous international students under me. Though I'm not encouraging young adults to go into weed smoking, I just want to say the truth here. All these propaganda against weed should just stop, and don't get me started on the chemical properties of Cannabis/Marijuana. OP @BiafranDel, as someone in the academia. I have to tell you the gospel truth. The only way you can make a first class is for you to have a CGPA of nothing less than 4.80 till you graduate. If you get anything less than that, then it's impossible for you to graduate with a first class. Not to get you discouraged, not have a first class is not the end of the world, just focus on your studies and have a firm grip of your course of study. That's all you need. I wish you luck in your pursuit of academic excellence. |
seunmsg:please click and read this link https://www.nairaland.com/5984825/58-nigerian-doctors-stopped-lagos these are those that passed the Skype interview and many more are to go. Now imagine qualifed doctors leaving this country in droves, what are we left with? The runt of the class, and someone will start complaining of poor medical care in Nigeria when our best brains are leaving, actually they are escaping terrible working conditions for places where their worth is appreciated. Just wait let this COVID-19 thing dissipate, the brain drain from the academia in respect of this IPPIS criminality will be epic, Nigeria Immigration Service will definitely have their hands full. This is just the beginning. Please bookmark this page for reference purposes. Thank you. |
Igbo bu Igbo! Finally Igbo bu otu. Confam! |

illitrate:I'm absolutely not adding this year to my age. E no work! |
IceColdVeins:Now this is hilarious ![]() |
Suarez just found his missing brother. ![]()
|
vivalavida:Nwanne, not in front of everybody na.
|
vivalavida:Even thou oh Brutus.
|
nkwuocha1:Of course I saw the some, I ain't blind, but why mention Igbo? That really pissed me off. Some Yoruba women, even Hausa women are also wicked. But putting Igbo there leaves a sour taste in the mouth. |
nkwuocha1:I would have agreed to your post fully, but putting an ethnic twist to it is totally uncalled-for. Our house help back in the day was treated equally with me, I infact see her as a elder sister today. She graduated top of her class in the university(being sponsored through school from primary to university by my mother) and is currently a Chief Accountant in one of the biggest Federal Universities in the South East. So stop demonizing an ethnic group here. |
generationz:I honestly don't see it as dbanj intimidating her at all. Many people get away with a lot of nonsense in this country because after destroying your name and reputation we let them go scot free in the name of keeping the peace. If he asks for an apology and gets it from her, you guys will come online and still accuse dbanj intimidating her into making that apology. She'll have her day in court, let her prove her innocence and also nail dbanj will irrevocable proof that he raped her. An Igbo proverb when roughly interpreted says "the disgrace of a wealthy man is worse than his death". Do you know what this means to his career if it is allowed to fester? He is going to lose endorsement deals and more. About her not being able to pay the damages against her, she should have thought about that before running her mouth. It's either she finds a way to pay or she rots in jail if found guilty. Simple!!! People should be held accountable for their actions. |
chinchonglee:Aswear dude, children everywhere |
PaulH07:Guy you just said it all. |
Beautiful, this is just Beautiful!!! But honestly that £10,000 compensation is too small, he should have ask for at the very least £1,000,000. Ungrateful people everywhere, he tried sponsoring your movement to the UK the first time it didn't work now you sponsored yourself to the UK yourself as a result of the invitation he offered you. You spent 4months in his place of abode without contributing a penny for the upkeep of the house. You're no relation of his for starters and you came up with this rape accusation, when all evidence points to the fact that you are lying. These girls of today no get conscience. But this Doc brain cells are seriously not functioning. You just met a girl on line and you are already sponsoring her to come to the UK, are you that lonely and randy? If you check well you'll see he has relations who he is not rendering any form of help or assistance to, so I don't pity him he deserves what he got. Infact both of them are bereaved of their senses. That's all. NEXT!!! |
