BiafraAngitator: I will keep telling Afonjas not to marry outside their tribe
Of all the beautiful women in Yorùbá land, Mister Lanre Gentry decided to marry this K-Legged Pepper-Dem-Gang Mercy from Edo state.
Even I as an igbo man prefer to marry from our Afonja masters or Hausas at the very least because the duo have the most beautiful and modest women in Nigeria
I also warned Mister Olakunle Churchill not to marry that drug addict Tonto Dikeh, who's also a retired prostitute but he didn't listen to me.
And now Banky W has also engaged one Edo lekpa called Adesua Etomi. Just watch people, the marriage will eventually collapse.
Dear igbo brothers and sisters, make sure you marry from our Afonja masters and Nothern tormentors
May Chukwu Okike Abiama continue to strengthen us

Heeyhun: There are always two sides to a coin. Only God and the parties involved know the true story. I'm still wondering how a sane woman will record a video while packing out of her marital home like it's supposed to be a good thing. I wonder when our celebrities will start being real and keep their private issues off the media.
Mr Gentry, four women have reportedly left your house, from all indications, there is something you're doing wrong. If three women had left and she still saw nothing wrong, don't you think she's the one that did something wrong? |

Who's Mercy Aigbe? I know she's supposed to be an actress, but I couldn't point her out in a lineup to save my life.
This's the first thread I'm opening on this issue and the story looks juicy so I'm gonna check it out.
I just love the way the man deviates from the focal point; he both succeeds in seeking pity for himself and casting aspersions on her.
Classic. |

you will see the light in my state when you remove the ethnic veil. You can see our support for GEJ,he is not Igbo but ijaw yet we gave him our best even when the chips were down at all sides, Obama and Cameron were at the fore front of buh.till date he still receives that support.
That is steadfastness and faithfulness in display. Sis, no tribal veil clouds my view. I only pointed out the flaw in your logic. Is that what makes me ethnicist? |

Bridget95: leave the military men alone they are people of independent mind and moved by the barrel of the Gun
Shagari took Ekwueme and that era was awesome .
Buhari saw the steadfastness of the igbos and utmost delivery of effective governance and beckoned on Chief Edwin Umezuoke to be his running mate but we snubbed him.
Buhari came the second time and held the hands of former senate president, chief Chuba okadigbo igbos snubbed him for several reasons before he became fed up and succumbed to the thief.nubu.
it is clear the north understands igbo steadfastness and abilities to make things work for generality of Nigerians. . . unlike now that we have death and poverty including suffering and hardship all together hitting Nigerians like in 1984 during the Yoruba/Fulani government of Buhari . The two bolded excerpts void your submission, though you had an almost valid argument. |

BermudaTriangle: Late Major Kaduna Nzaegwu was taken as a son by Ahmadu Bello only to be mercilessly slaughteted like a chicken by him. Late Major Emmanuel Ifeajuna effortlessly betrayed Nzaegwu and his fellow porchists when his loyalty mattered a lot. So where is the precedent of your loyalty ? SE politicians deserted NADECO one after the other at the offer of filthy lucre by Abacha. Truth and honesty my foot. History is a better judge. Like seriously, wtf is porchists? llaykorn: Thank you, DM! Many of these people don't believe that poetry has evolved into something bigger than the literature they were forced to read in secondary school. Romeo just won the Brunel Poetry Prize. There were more than a thousand entries, and I'm sure there were a lot of uninformed people who thought they could get anywhere with how perfect the syllable-count of their sonnets were. I know quite a number of the short listed poets and some of them don't even write in stanzas. Lol. True bro. I wish I'd known of the call for submissions. The funny thing's that, if you don't have a real gift for poetry and the ability to rhyme meaningfully, you'd end up using words just for the rhymes, the same way most of our contemporary local rappers do. P.S Is this the same laykorn from that our Whatsapp group that year? It used to be fun with OAM4J, yuzedo, jigsawkillah, texanomaly etc. Hola. 1 Like |
Romance › Re: Why Do Many Nigerian Men Woo Ladies Using English? by DanseMacabre(m): 11:10pm On May 02, 2017 |
I stay in the North, and it took me quite a while before I understood that the girls who were reticent and unresponsive to my wooing in English were that way i.e 'forming' because they couldn't communicate fluently in the language, and didn't want to fall their hand in front of this fresh fine boy.
I'm proficient in Hausa, so the cog has been removed from my rolling wheel of body counts.
My only regret is that it took me too long to notice.
Igbo girls in the East that I've come across actually prefer being wooed in their mother tongue to English. Maybe it's for the same reasons, who knows?
Whatever the case, insha'Allah I intend to make the most of my upcoming visit to the East, so help me God.
OP, kudos for an insightful post. |

MDCCCXXXII: Free verse! Always free verse! If Nairaland mods and seun aren't bias, they would have seen pure talent in Nairaland's Poem for Review section.
Any poet who fail to evolve and always write in free verse is just a poet, nothing, nothing less! Evolve into what exactly? Shakespearean verse? Metres and Iambic pentametres? Rhymes? That's prescriptive poetry bro, and it's exactly what modern poetry evolved from. 1 Like 1 Share |

Wow! Phew! This is my first time of hearing about/reading the guy, but this is poetry at its finest. The first poem about being gay is like a mathematical equation or a performance by an orchestra that slowly builds up to a deafening crescendo; everything adding up to the final solution. 1 Like |
