Northerner dominate those dirty business wey dey fetch money like recycling. True they don't mind doing dirty jobs, but that doesn't make them very rich. I like the fact that they live a very simple life. But of a truth, poverty is really widespread in the North, more than what's obtainable in the south. |

SMH, I think Economics should be made compulsory for everybody and every courses up to university level.
In a lay man explanation. When there are too much money in circulation or when there is a perceived inflation, government regulatory body increases interest rates to banks and bank increase interest rates to customers which reduces customer borrowing from banks and hence reduce money in circulation and reduces inflation.
On the other hand. When there are lesser money in circulation, govt reduces interest rates to banks and bank also reduce to loan borrowers to encourage loans.
In economics, it's explained in terms of bonds Where exactly are you seeing the money in circulation? When most people can barely feed themselves? Our over dependent on imported goods is the reason for the rise in prices of commodities, not because there's too much money in circulation. Inflation and unemployment are supposed to move in different directions, which is not the case here. |

onuman: Peter Obi is better educated than Abubakar Atiku and Bola Tinubu. Obi attended primary and secondary schools; and attended university of Nigeria fully, as well as has other higher education qualifications.
Tinubu did not attend Primary and secondary schools. His Chicago University degree is supposed to be annulled since he has no Primary and Secondary school certificates to back up the Chicago degree which he must have enrolled for with forged secondary school certificate. Those days without the Internet, it was hard for foreign universities to confirm the authenticity of O'Level Certificate of African countries for admission. But most of the foreign universities want just money.
Atiku Abubakar attended adult education all through. We all know that adult education is merely to have people get some element of education, never full rigorous education works like in the secondary school or university.
Obi has governance experience. Atiku does not have. Tinubu has, but is most corrupt. Tinubu was caught with drug trafficking money in the US. Atiku bribed a US Senator who is still serving jail term for Atiku bribe. You ended up saying absolutely nothing. Did Tinubu attended and graduated from Chicago State University? The answer is yes, so your logic doesn't apply here. Same thing goes for Atiku. Adult education or not, the institution is accredited to issue certificates. The law requires at least, an O'Level. If you present a higher qualification, the law is only interested in what you presented and if it's from an accredited institution, which it is, in the case of Tinubu and Atiku. It's not the responsibility of INEC to be verifying the result people used to gain admission into the University. It's even funny you think Chicago State University didn't verify the certificate Tinubu used within the time he spent in the school. You actually think it's difficult to verify a Cambridge or WASSCE result back then? I'm glad to tell you, it's not harder as it can be in 2022. Even more ridiculous is that you said a former Vice President is the least experienced among the league of former Governors. Like seriously? A former Vice President? Among all other contestants, he's the only one that has a better idea of how the country is run. So if you're talking about experience, Atiku comes first. All other allegations, corruption, bribery, drug dealing, are mere hear say, just as Obi Pandora saga and 250M in the trunk allegations. I won't even take you seriously if you're telling me a Nigerian politician has integrity and is not corrupt. I won't vote for someone because I feel he's not corrupt, or because he's healthy or young. It's going to be about what he can do. I voted Atiku in the last election because I knew he's better than Buhari. I know you shared the same sentiments 3 years ago when Obi was his running mate (I'm assuming you're old enough to vote in 2019). All of a sudden, Atiku is no longer experienced and Obi is the best thing to ever happen to humanity. We all know almost everyone that voted PDP in the last Presidential election, who will be voting Obi next year are doing so based on ethnicity. |

Plus the transformers are essentially meant to help improve transmission. Improving generation is another matter...and it means eventually that the new government (hopefully not APC) takes the decision to let the sector set its prices and make enough of a profit to keep generation, transmmision and distribution running at an even keel. So tell me, can you obtain Diploma or Bsc without FSLC or SSCE? I just dey look you with one corner eye. The way this works is, "show us you have at least, a SSCE or equivalent from an accredited institution of learning, and you're good to go". That's the position of the law. If you happen to present a PhD instead, what INEC is interested in, is if the one you present is authentic or not. The law is not interested in doing the job of a higher institution by checking if you're qualified to study in the school you claimed you attended. Like someone rightly mentioned, the case would be thrown out the very day it is heard. I'd advise you get a copy of the constitution. |

SmartyPants: Exactly, and that's the point. Even if the question ever arose, the Court will adopt what is called the principle of regularity, on the basis that Tinubu cannot have gotten his University admission without a high school certificate. The issue will be thrown out instantly.
Besides, the question cannot arise because a University education, alone, meets the constitutional standard. So even if it were found that Tinubu was a genius that moved from primary school to University with no secondary school education, it still won't matter.
Secondary school certificates are totally irrelevant here, therefore the court won't likely grant any such pleas to see his documents. You really have time for explanations this early Saturday morning. |

Politics › Re: Tinubu's Certificates Emerges As Nigerians Point To Discrepancies In Obi's Own by DeOTR: 3:51pm On Sep 23, 2022 |
Eriokanmi: Convocation doesn't happen immediately. On convocation, yes, you obtain your certificate, sealed. They could merge 2 to 3 sets together, depending on school's system. You pay for the certificate as well. But before graduation, you are issued a statement of result. It's valid forever. I graduated from Ilorin early 2000s and I've never been there to process my certificate till date. Only a few of my course mates who were around attended the convocation. All places where I had worked, including my post graduate degrees, home and abroad, na my statement of result I present with my Transcript. Certificate is ceremonial. Obi isn't compelled to obtain one. The statement suffices and the onus is on the challenger to approach UNN, same way a petitioner went to UI in Obaseki's case. It's that simple. Obaseki didn't even listen to them. He left them ranting on the social media. The same people even sued UI sef, lol. I don't know how you did it, but you can't have transcripts unless you have your certificate (which is always ready before the transcripts). I also graduated in the 2000s (late though), but I got my certificate immediately after convocation (which was just before the new session after we graduated). For as long as I know, Ilorin do their convocation year in, year out. They don't merge multiple sets, neither do they issue statements of results. You get your certificate immediately. It was the transcripts I had to go back to collect. Even now, they issue both certificate and personal transcripts on graduation. Abandoning your own certificate for 38 years, just because you have a temporary statement of result, in my own opinion, is not a good attitude someone wanting to lead a nation should have. |

Eriokanmi: Sorry i was actually referring to a statement of result.
There's a clear difference between a statement of result and a certificate Most of those displaying Obi's statement of result submitted to Inec and calling it cerficate are olodos. And you know nowadays, things can be doctored and they would still look original on social media by some unscrupulous elements, just to cause a needless distraction. Even if it was a certificate which i doubt, INEC must endorse it as a sign of acceptance and confirmation of receipt. I've been seeing versions of his result as posted here. Does waec statement of result carry any seal? Its waec certificate that is sealed. In same way, its a certificate that carries a seal, not statement of result as presented by Obi. Most Nigerians don't go back to their alma mater for a certificate.. what I had was a statement of result, not a sealed certificate cos i dont have any need for it.
If i need one, I'd go to Ilorin, apply and make necessary payment before collection. I can even apply online now. Unlike in those days when you'd go to Ilorin, pay at a bank at post office, then take teller back to school and wait. Statement of result which carries, name, degree, matric number, grade, etc is what we mostly use, even when seeking admission or employment either home or abroad. Every certificate carries a seal, not statement of results. What Obi submitted was a statement of results which olodos here misconstrued for a certificate. Buhari that called them lazy is right .
Nowadays, its impossible to present fake result to inec or any body for whatever reason. Right on your computer, you can check it's veracity. Those wasting their time on Obi know where to go. Not on social media to catch cruise. Obi had been vying for political offices in the past and submitted same. They started from...he only had GCE, from there to, 3rd Class and his result wasn't endorsed by inec, now to, his statement of result wasn't sealed...laughable. Well, that's by the way. I was issued the original certificate on graduation, so I wouldn't know how a statement of result looks like. I believe after 38 years, Obi should not be presenting statements of result. I know Universities issue original certificate on convocation, so unless he never attended, he should have it. |

Certificates are deemed issued on the convocation day.
If you have doubts head to UNN registry and verify. No na, guy! My convocation day was in October, whereas the date on my certificate is July 23rd of the same year. Your graduation date is the day the school senate approves the results not your convocation day. |
