damonas: Hello House,
I and hubby went for interview last month, but was given a white paper to come back and show evidence of payment for medicals and itemised hospital bill. Got one now tho the bill stated normal delivery and CS but I paid fully for normal delivery and have all evidence. Going back in 2weeks time but don't know the chances of being granted the visa. You are good to go,since you have done what they requested, i dont think you will have any issues. Good luck. |

UnTee06: Hello everyone, I'm new on here though been following.Ihope to travel to houston by July for August birth. Will like to connect with mums travelling same period if we can share accommodation. I actually was in houston in March!had a terrible experience at Poe. Then I was just like 16wks gone n trip was 4 vacation with my hubby. They didn't believe me n was held for 10 good hours.I'm sure that was the worst experience of my life. After so much interogation was given 31days to leave which I did cos my trip was 4 just 2wks.Though I told them I have plans to return but I must say I still have my fears after that experience which gave me nightmare for days. Any advice? Also, anybody doing 'Katy ' houston tx? I would just advice you to be prepared for poe, just read this thread in detail and gather your burden of proof for poe. |

deeore: Hello all,am new to this forum, have read both part within two days because i really find this forum very informative.i was very confused as to whether to declare that i want to go and give birth at the poe or i should simply say vacation...tank God i came across this forum when i was surfing d net. Any November mum in the house enroute to jersey. i applied for a visiting visa for a family vacation in feb...durin d interview i was asked if i was pregnant...i said no cos i wasnt..i was granted d visa...a mnth later i got preggers....i visited the us in may wif ma family as intended just came back lastweek...i intend to go back to deliver in october...now my question, just a little confused if i should send d letter of notification of intent...cos according to d thread some fink its neccessary while others think its not, den secondly wat exactly does the budget breakdwn mean..i ve been seeing alot of that in the thread. SoRry my story is plenty for a first timer...my apologies. Just to be on the safe side,I would advice you do the letter to the embassy informing them of your intent.,because some people have actually been asked at poe if they informed the American embassty in their home country that they were coming to give birth in the us Budget breakdown simply meand doing a break down of your budget e.g. Air ticket #360,000, Accomodation #320,000, Hospital #721,000, Doctor #515,000 etc |

mimikoko: Please, please, please for those whose husband's were not in the US for their baby's delivery, did you need a notarised consent letter to apply for Nigerian visa? If yes is there a foRm for it like the one they have for the US passport or is it an original letter that is notarised?
Please I need the information urgently. God bless you. Tanko did not request for it,but dont know if other agents require it. |

lala4sure: Hello everyone, pls i need help from those whose husbands were not around during the birthing and baby documentation process. Pls can you guys send me copies of the consent form or link to download And i also need to know if i should apply for baby's naija passport or visa. Please help a sis For the consent form, google Ds3053,down load and print. With regards to 5he visa or passport question, if you are not close to a city with a 9ja consulate ( New york, Atlanta,Washington dc) i would advice you to settle for the Visa, cause it means you wont need to travel to get it,an agent can get it for you. On the other hand,if you are in any of these cities,it might be better to just go to the embassy and get the passport once and for all. |

staa: I really appreciate all your responses, I do not intend to relocate from Nigeria yet that's the reason I cherish my visiting visa so I can always travel. Just like someone said the insurance did not accept because I don't have social security no. (By usc I mean us citizen ) am just being careful because hubby wants me to relocate even though I still have the fear of the unknown reservation .can I take some cash to be on the safe side and let them know am paying the bills at the poe and avoid the question of my hubby being a usc or just tell them short vacation instead of child birth .Am making this personal enquiries for my selfish interest because I still have sentimental attachment to my Nigeria . No need to lie that you are going for a short vac when in reality you are going to have your baby. Just tell them the truth that you are going to have your baby and read this thread very well and make all the adequate preperations, like doctor & hospital correspondence etc,and also go with enough cash to convince them at poe that you can pay your bills. Also have it at the back of your mind that at poe they might ask questions like: What does your husband do? Is your husband joining you? etc |

wagzyl: Now, I have a question:
My Visa expires in July and I intend to go visit my sister for like 2weeks this month end, I want to know what to say in case i'm being questioned as regards my last visit which lasted about 3months as against the 2weeks that I told the Entry Clearance Officer. A friend of mine with a similar story was delayed at Abu Dhabi (Preclearance) with series of questions but she was eventually allowed to fly into the US. I'm flying Delta and the POE is Atlanta, I really wish to know how the airport security check is so I can prepare myself well to avoid any unwanted issues. My sister is having a baby and she wants me around.
Thanks people. From your post,i dont think you told the VO during your visa interview that you were pregnant and using the visa for birthing purpose, because if you did you wouldn't have told cbp at poe that you are spending 2wks when you ended up spending 3 months. So therefore, just pray that you find favour with whoever you will meet at poe. And also go with all your hospital receipts and letter of zero balance |

Can the person travel in june and stay for 3 weeks and come back before the 6th of july when the passport expires or does the person need to wait until after expiration of passport to renew it before travelling. I don't know if the whole 6 months validity of passport beyond intended stay applies to nigerians travelling to US. Anyone with experience.. |

oluwafunkenny: Dear Dere5, Atlanta. Mum looking for agent for Nigerian visa? Am I missing something? Will it not be better to process Nigerian passport once and for all and close your eyes. Why defacing the blue pali with handwritten visa when you arre close to Nigerian embassy?
Please enlighten me if am wrong? I stand to be corrected ma The person i am getting the number for is not in Atlanta and it has been discussed here that it is easier to get the 9ja visa than the 9ja passport |

ekpotek: . I also read on NL that I need to inform the US embassy in Nigeria of my intention to use the visa for birth in the US. In doing this, do I need to provide information on hospital, doctors correspondence etc. I would be happy to hear from all experienced mamas. Note this is our first after waiting for 6 years, and I am prepared to give my wife the best possible healthcare within my budget. Thank you. I saw that no one has addressed the concerns you mentioned above. No,you dont need to provide information about hospital and all that in your email to the embassy, all you need to tell them is that your plans has changed and you intend to use the visa for birthing purpose and that you have made all 5he necessary arangments and that you have the necessary funds to pay your bills |

Riz2015: Just to share my story, I have left usa on 16th of April and travelled back on 20th of April, I have informed CBP due to my wife's pregnancy she can't travel back and she has 6 months entry she can get medical treatment as long as I am paying for it.
They have sent me to a room officer called my name and started shouting at me saying I know f.....g game this and that I told him I have emailed you guys he didn't wanna hear noting they have held me at Houston airport for 27 hours. Been shouted and humiliated and I'm the end they have sent me back so be careful guys. the reason I am sharing my story because I am devastated, I was just honest with them and what I got for been honest.CBP officer said its illegal to have baby in USA he was obviously lying one after another I was treated like an criminal at Houston Airport and in the end sent back.May god bless you all. So sorry about what you had to go through. I have also gone through your previous post and i cant find anything you did wrong by returning to the uk.You sent CBP a mail that you would need to go back to the uk to sort out some issues and return back a couple of days later and you posted this as their reply " However, ESTA does not guarantee entry. You can be denied entry with an approved ESTA because it is up to the officer at the border to determine admissibility. According to U.S. Immigration Law, every alien shall be presumed to be an immigrant until they establish to the satisfaction of the CBP Officer, at the time of application for admission, that they are entitled to a nonimmigrant status. Therefore, the key is that the applicant always bears the burden of proof of admissibility that he/she is not trying to live in the U.S." Which is the case with every visa holder trying to enter the Us, that the fact you have a visa does not mean automatic enry, the final entry approval rest with CBP? Take heart bro and thank God that at least your wife is there. |
