ronkebp: this is where the exchange rate come into play. imagine if you want to secure safety (unless you hire a mopo...who will run when armed-robbers visit)or else you really cannot get one, maybe Lekki and VI and you know how , 24 hrs light, 24 hr water, lets assume you want to tar the road/ street that leads to your house, you want good school for your children, enjoy a nice car (mercedes), and also save to go on vacation with your family, then trust me that 100,000k in Naija, will not last more than 3 months at most.
gibberish...hire mopol??as what?? chic get real...who knows you?. obafemi martins that stays a few blocks to ma place doesn't even use one not to talk of you....moreover must you stay in lekki?there are so many decent and secured estate on the island and mainland..do you know when last i heard about an armed robbery attack in my area??all you hear around here is some greedy domestic servants stealing stuffs off their masters...should i list good school for you?? comeoo...where do you even know in lagos or ph?or even calabar??do you even know nigeria atall or you base your facts on what you hear on NL..i have 24hrs water..who doesn't?how much does it cost to sink a borehole??..gen and inverter...and yes..alot of folks drive Mercedes, bentleys, rolls and what have you....you are just prejudiced by what you hear..i bet you've never set foot on nigeria...let eko ile catch you..you go hear am..spewing rubbish based on hearsay...

kokoye: This past week, three of my friends were robbed at gun point while they stopped at the traffic light under the Folomo bridge on the V.I side. These were separate incidents and all happened between 7 & 8pm on separate days.

I hope the relevant authorities are taking note.
grin grin grin grin dude get real....under falomo bridge?? law school bus-stop?? by 7pm...dude..that road is always busy by the time you listed man....you obviously don't know how to lie...get your facts right..moreover there is a police patrol and lastma team stationed there permanently..i feel like b1tch slapping you now...

you are just too dumb....re-read ma post very well...or you have comprehension problems too??
moreover so many of the peeps there already have a job...they are just looking for a better job..i know like 7 guys that left their jobs in banks for oil jobs..nigerian youths are just insatiable..or you think having a job is all about white collar jobs?? lastma, lamata, etc are all jobs....its just proud and lazy people that complain about unemployment in nigeria...they are so many things to do to generate money in this country...i know a classmate of mine that makes 10-15k daily..he has a bus he drives himself..running from ajah to obalende daily.....inspired and spyder are living examples of dudes making serious money using NL..use your brain and you will enjoy naija...

dayokanu: I told you to differentiate the people you can bluff and me..Below is a report from the US embassy stating exactly the same thing I said. Robbery on osborne was a regular thing that most colleagues at work would wait till late before leaving
dude quit messing with urself...your article dates way back to 2007..thats like 5yrs ago...a kid that was birthed around that time should be in primary one or two...come back to the present...lagos used to be bad crime wise, same as ph..but it is peaceful now...same thing as abuja that used to be peaceful way back becoming a crime haven now...moreover why has no naija based guy countered ma assertion?kindly call home and get in touch with reality.
dayokanu: Well things are tough in America but compare it to Nigeria and see what its like

In US they report an unemployment record of 10%.

Can you guess what the unemployment record is in Nigeria?
naija has no verifiable statistics man..thats why anybody can open his yap and spew conflicting figures...unemployment is not that bad...any hardworking guy in naija will definitely eat..its a fact..just that so many peeps want white collar jobs, jobs they will sit under a/c and work...you must be privy to the thread on dangote's company's recruitment of graduate drivers..you also saw silly statements lazy youths were making...nobody wants to farm or do other business that will generate money....i was into property business b4 i got my present job and was making average of 70-100k in a bad month..same with so many guys that are making money, same as barbers, recharge card sellers...go to balogun, ladipo, nnewi, etc and see young able bodied youths making mad money..in ladipo for example, you see guys that will approach you, take you to shops where you will get good bargains and earn commission from the sellers....life is tough no doubt but it is not impossible..

dayokanu: I have told you to limit your lies to people who never worked in Nigeria.

As at 2008 every week there are always Robbers on osborne Road in Ikoyi. I dont leave office till 10pm to avoid traffic because the robbers thrive in traffic.

What of in Apongbon? is there any week they dont rob in Apongbon

So which part of lagos is Safe? Lekki phase 1 and VI?
the fact that you tell lies doesn't mean everybody does...ask anybody that plies the route i mentioned...most tyms i get into lagos way past midnight cos of my job..i still drive all the way from ikeja down to my base and i have never been harassed nor robbed....crime rate in lagos has reduced drastically..call home and verify..don't make baseless arguments here.

Kobojunkie: WOW . . the sort of analysis you go hear from people on these issues leaves you in stupor sometimes.

So because you heard of ONE CASE of a robber leaving an elderly person, you have conveniently concluded that is the case in ALL of Nigeria? The old people, beggars, etc that have been killed, ,maimed etc in the various crime sprees, bombings, etc across Nigeria in just the last year alone are what? Rubber dolls? undecided undecided undecided
grow a brain abeg...this your foolery is annoying....what prompted the legalization of arms in the u.s?where do u even stay?who started all these gang wars and everything? do u watch csi channel atall? the only good thing about the western world is that they have good press that hardly report all the crimes that take place there...i will accept that naija is worse than u.s crime wise the day i see or hear a 15yr old kid carry a gun and go on a shooting spree,or some dude eating up another live human being or terrorists hijacking two aircrafts and crashing them into uba or union bank towers...until then STFU

dayokanu: Anyone that has FACTS should bring it forward and lets see for ourselves.

I spoke to one Ibo girl not long ago.

She went to a Nursing school in Iboland, Got to America in 2010 wthout Papers. Currently, She has built a house in her village. Story building with pent house at the back up to roofing

She has set his brother in business to the tune of 2m naira.

She has papers now, Works legally and she just turned 27 like 2 months ago.

She is doing quite well in America, drives a brand new car and she is planning to buy a house in US by next year
i have young entry level guys and gals in my unit, drive brand new cars, bought lands in agungi and ajah and live in choice parts of lekki and chevron..these are mere Entry guys that have worked for 15months max...i have facts..raw ones at that...same way i have relatives and friends abroad esp the U.K..virtually begging me to transfer silly sums of money (like 10-20k) to their folks here in nigeria as they could not meet up to their responsibility...friends that are doing menial jobs and dont have enough money to rent a place once they come into the country...do u know how many u.k returnee with msc and other qualifications that have put up at ma place??...u.k is a dead country..with its draconian tax rates..i really hate that country with a passion...u.s. is a whole lot better.

as per the crime rate..its only boko boys that are giving naija a bad name security wise...here in lagos, night club business is thriving wella...i normally roll with ma friends every wkends..we move from chevron down to clubs in allen, from there to festac and end up at v.i and lekki every weekend..all these happen btwn the hours of 10pm and 3am b4 we retire home around 3.30am and honestly i have never experienced any form of crime...lagos is relatively safe at night..all you gats do is tip (like 200naira) those alaye boys at the parking lots of the various night clubs scattered all over, they will guard your car wella...

dayokanu: But dont you have to deal with highway robbers, kidnappers and Boko haram on a daily basis

In US you can start your car at 3am to enter a gas station to buy anything. In Nigeria if you dare go out beyond a certain time, you are on your own
Shut up dat gutter u call a mouth...naija's crime rate is a dot when compared to what happens abroad esp d u.s..d only unsafe place in naija is d north..we in d south run things wella..we roll anytime we deem fit..day or midnight...how on earth will anyone in his right state compare naija nd u.s in terms of crime?..so u r dis silly?..tot ur only problem was being a bigot..

ebamma: no matter how hard life may be for nigerians abroad, the will not love to return to nigeria because its worse down here, from epileptic power supply, bad roads, corruption to now terrorism.
you always spew rubbish like a ph00l man....so its only naija that has infrastructural challenges??smh at the person that had the misfortune of birthing you...

98% of nigerians based abroad esp u.k are ashamed to return home.the shame of coming back empty handed and seeing your mates that you left back in nigeria doing exceptionally well is dehumanizing.

life abroad is hard....very hard..its a pity that most nigerians especially those in rural areas think that once you touchdown at jfk or heath-row you start picking money...most nigerians abroad are doing silly jobs that they would never have done if they were here...its crazy..so many of them work in serious enslaving conditions plus the huge tax and bills one pays abroad...naija is a good country if one has a means of livelihood...anybody that earns 150k and above a month in this country is comfortable..we are happy here..abroad is over hyped jor...dudes there are seeing serious things...desh doesn't envy them one bit.

naijarican: Thanks, but no thanks. I can't fathom wasting my time reading what is more than likely an opinion instead of a fact. What is factual however, is that homosexual people are not going anywhere, neither is their lifestyle. You may not agree with it, but it's here. My thing is, I don't want them trying to convince me that what they do is 'normal' per se. Because it's not. Any sexual relationship other that male/female is not normal.
You are contradicting yourself...

freecocoa: Seriously?

Did homosexuality start in our time?its been here since the time of jesus and our forefathers, killing them won't stop the act,the highest it can do is make gay people remain in their closets.

Besides, who made you or the mob judge and jury over anyone?is being gay the worst sin\crime on earth?people do evil everyday but don't get killed.

Seriously your comment and telling me you didn't insult me because you think i attend your school has made me lose faith in the credibility of certificates issued in that school,if you as a semi-learned person thinks like this, what do you expect of those uneducated villagers many students often complain about?

And FYI,insulting me behind your computer will not affect me in any way especially since i'm a very good internet warrior myself so don't get it twisted dude.cheesy
okay...ndo for the harsh words....inugo..

back to the topic....the way these downlow men are multiplying is really alarming, all thruout ma futo days,i only heard of homosexuality twice..one in hostel b and another in obinze...but its not the same these days..i intend on having boys..and i don't want any son of the anus influencing him in anyway..homosexuality is the greatest sin ever...it is a desecration of creation...WTF...they should not be allowed to live..and whoever told you homosexuals have been here all these while is a chronic liar...that ish is an imported behaviour...it is alien to africans..why on earth will a man develop silly emotions toward his fellow man?? it baffles me abeg..they should come out if they feel what they are doing is right...wanimals.

Na wa for some people sha.
The only reason I will not rain insults on u is simply cos u r a futoite like muah..why should gay peeps be allowed to live? So they can multiply and influence innocent kids abi?..the mobs have my 101 support..but they should be more detailed the next tym they catch a certified gay urchin..they should finish off d baggah immediately..not allow dem to live or even be hospitalised...wanimals
