@prettyheart just 7 simple points...but of course hard for humans to obey:

1. Be good or at least strive to be good.
2. Have a purpose for living.
3. Trust the LORD GOD to help you find a good person whose purpose aligns with yours.
4. Discuss your secrets, strengths and shortcomings with your partner.
5. Make a verbal covenant with your partner to be unified with him or her till the death.
6. Stay true to your verbal covenant.
7. Be conscious always of the steps 1 - 6.

Family › Re: How Can One Handle "Ur Wife Sleeps With Other Man(men) Messages? by efficiencie(m): 4:46pm On Jun 13, 2021
@farous the man has to stop sleeping with that wife for sometime. To do this he just needs to travel some place else under the pretext of going to land a contract or do a job or on an assignment. He needs to plant a hidden camera in his bedroom and sitting room and place a hidden audio recorder in the bag that she uses frequently. Surely a woman that cheats will not go a week or two without visiting her demonic lovers and hence you will be able to have evidence. As soon as you get the evidence you need report the matter to everyone that needs to know...if she defends herself, file for a divorce but if she confesses and seeks to repent you, the children and her should go for urgent deliverance with anyone of the seers...after deliverance continue with the marriage!
Romance › Re: Out Of Sight,is It Truely Out Of Mind. by efficiencie(m): 3:52pm On Jun 13, 2021
out of sight does not necessarily mean out of mind...rather i would say out of heart is out of mind! If you are truly bonded to a person you will remain true to that person even if that person is not around. However a person can claim to love you, live with you and yet that person is cheating with your neighbors...that you can see the person you are relating with does not mean that person loves you. Peter could see JESUS 24/7 yet he denied JESUS. Judas Iscariot could see JESUS 24/7 yet he betrayed JESUS...Paul did not see JESUS in the flesh, rather JESUS struck him on the way to Damascus but Paul was more prolific in advancing the gospel than all the other apostles...as a matter of fact Peter testified to the incredible access Paul had to the revelation of JESUS. Paul faced death for the gospel like a pro when folks like Peter wanted to escape...out of sight does not necessarily mean out of mind. Out of heart is out of mind.

1. Says what she means and means what she says (not the one that says NO but means YES)
2. Submits to a real man and not to a fool.
3. Wants to build with her man and not walk into an already built man
4. Is wise, prudent and discreet
5. Controls her environment in the place of prayer

Not always about evil..
...it is always about evil. Always. Whatever gets into your mind and motivates you to desire the wife of another man when there are millions of women needing a man cannot be from good it can only come from evil...the desire to have another man's wife is rooted also in the desire to have another man's property, wealth, possession, etc. It is the desire to steal and stealing is evil. If you desire what belongs to someone else you are a thief with a dead conscience! Men are sometimes very strange. First we want a woman that is loyal to us and steadfast irrespective of the situations of life yet we find it easy desiring the wife of another man and look for very dumb and stupid ways to justify malevolent behavior...

It's shameful, for REAL. I feel so useless everyday.

Lemme brief this:

I'm a school dropout; stopped at JSS 3. I was 17yrs and naive. I couldn't even write my Junior WAEC, even though I tried so much to, but couldn't due to lack of finance.

My Mom was very sick at the time and my Dad wasn't doing well in his business, the little he gets, he spends on my Mom. So I was left with no choice but to stop schooling so that my Junior ones could continue.

To cut the story short, I've been working from one company to another. I also taught myself some online skills which has been helpful.
Even with the Job and Skill, I still couldn't have any savings.

For more than a week now, I've been sick, and spent all my money on drugs. I've been hiding it from my parents because, at 24yrs I'm already a big liability living with them.
My Mom knew I was sick because it became obvious at some point. When she noticed I had no more cash, she gave me 3k to buy drugs. At that moment I felt so ashamed, and felt like I've not done enough to better myself.

They say men don't cry...., but I went to the bathroom and cried like a baby.

This life...

You think I'm that type of person??
Think again...

I'm not calling for help on here.
The encouraging words though, from well meaning persons is good enough.
Now stop being a typical Nigerian

Bhus21:
The challenge with Nairalanders and Nigerians, in general, is that we like to delight in ignorance. So let me help educate you in a small way. There are broadly 2 types of marriages. High conflict and low conflict ones. High conflict is where there's abuse, violence, and constant fighting. Low conflict marriages are the opposite. In the latter things are generally calm and happy with occasional bouts of arguments.

In high conflict marriages, divorce can be a good thing for the kids as it removes them from a highly charged situation. For low-conflict marriages on the other hand, divorce is devastating to the kids. This is because the kids see mum and dad as happy, stable and loving. When they then hear suddenly that the family is breaking apart it devastates them. They then have to deal with a lifetime of insecurity. They develop serious emotional challenges that put them at risk of so many adverse outcomes that are too numerous to mention. Just google 'divorce effect on kids'.

Now kids didn't ask to be born, parents choose to bring them into the world. To so violently take away their stability because parents couldn't put aside their ego to at least try to work out their issues is the most cruel and unfair thing one could do. So if there are kids from broken homes doing just fine, I can assure you that if there were from low-conflict homes that broke up, they would be doing so much better if their parents worked out their issues.

I think many of us in this age don't truly understand what marriage and parenting is about. I think my wife falls into this category actually and I didn't do a good enough job to teach her. I underestimated her limited understanding and thought love would get us through. Well as it turns out, love waxes and wanes. What keeps you going is understanding the commitment you made and working hard to protect it.

A small example is talking about marital problems outside. This should never be done. Only discuss your marriage with your spouse or a trusted counsellor when things are too difficult. Sharing everywhere with everybody is a recipe for disaster.
Love waxes and wanes? Then it was never love. This is the problem with humanity. Always confusing transcient and fickle feelings for love. If she truly loved she will be eager to learn. If she truly loved she would submit to be groomed. If she truly loved she would be a better wife in a matter of weeks...love will drive her to become an indispensable force in her home. Love is enough. And when both the husband and wife truly love the result is sheer perfection. Many of us just don't know what love is. Love is a nature. When your very nature is love quarrels are easily resolved, compromise is easily reached, positions easily shift and marriage becomes more resilient to the toughest of situations! But when we confused mere feelings with love we get all the nonsense we see today and blame it all on "love not being enough" when in actual fact we barely know what "love" means.

In most divorces, if not all, love was never present right from the start...the so called marriage was just driven by the alignment of interests and nothing more and when those interests no longer align the couples start giving excuses for horrendous behavior...that is when the wife will say the reason she cheated was because her husband wasn't satisfying her and her husband will say the reason he beat her up beyond recognition was because she was too provocative! There will always be a reason for terrible behavior and none will acknowledge his or her fault! Love is always enough, we just don't know what love really is!

Let's analyse your points raised: on the question of union, let me have you know it is impossible to have the MC oluomo type arrangement in this case. Simply for the mere fact that these are strictly private, unmarked cars. Nobody can identify me or force me to drive for a particular app. All apps will woo me and I will choose the one with the best package for me. Ditto you the passenger. Even the govt knows they can't enforce anything on the drivers and passengers of ehailing directly because it is an anonymous market hence they have to collect taxes via the App companies while the app companies in turn deduct via commissions. Nobody can force me to join a union. The union you feel so threatened by is at best an informal aggregation of persons in the same industry. It is a persuasive body, lacking any coercive powers. In some parts of the EU, neither uber nor Bolt is allowed to operate, there is nothing sacrosanct about them, I don't understand your hero worship of them. What's your stake as a passenger is the lowest fare and good service, what's my stake as a driver is competitive prices and good work conditions. This tussle is replicated in all spheres of human endeavours. So I don't understand this hostility
Lol! Hero worship? I am not worshipping anything here but clearly you are critical of Uber/Bolt in a way that doesn't seem justified by your explanation. You claim the union does not have coercive powers but they engaged in a strike action against Uber/Bolt due to the fares and their cut and now they want to lobby union members into patronizing a so called local app. See I am not saying anyone isn't free to choose whatever platform they like rather I'm saying the solution advanced by the union of drivers does not amount to bringing about competition in the market...rather they just want to have greater benefits for themselves at the expense of the welfare of consumers...their main motivation is anchored on the differential fares between the regular cabs and the Uber/Bolt cabs. They see that consumers are shifting from patronizing regular cabs to Uber/Bolt and they are panicking like crybabies!

I got to know from her after three years and she was not even remorseful, claiming she had dated him before we met and that's her choice cause she can date Whoever she want at the time cause she's single.

I always felt bad cause I got suspicious and asked her about it. I always think about it every day and it makes me feel so bad.

Her mother had apologised on her behalf that I should please get it over my mind and count it as when she don't know what she was doing.

We have got a kid and i don't want the kid raised outside a home though we were both not married officially.

I want to get the ordeal out of my mind cause that's the only issue i have with her.

How can I get it over my mind? I think about it every day.

I take it that you are a consumer and not an agent of uber/Bolt. Now if you're just a customer, then you should be happy for more competition entering into the field as this can only be to your advantage. We all know how Glo forced others to adopt per second billing at a time they all swore it was impossible. Even though today most people still use Airtel and MTN, the presence of Glo and 9mobile (both indigenous companies) is what is making these foreign guys not rip you apart. So, I'm surprised when I read comments such as yours opposing and denigrating...is it a case of Stockholm syndrome? Competition that will force down prices for you, you are opposing it. Na wa o
Lol. Competition my foot. A union of drivers want to patronize one local app and you call that competition. You can fool many but not someone who understands market structures. Anywhere there is a union you have imperfect markets and anywhere you find imperfect markets you find that prices are not entirely subject to creative destruction or the natural forces of demand and supply. As a matter of empirics imperfect markets are consistent with wastage and underutilization of inputs' capacity...you cited Glo but you forget that there isn't enough competition in telecoms market for it to generate maximum gains to the consumers. The few suppliers in the industry render crappy services, change tariffs at will even when demand hasn't changed significantly, comparatively charge higher tariffs than is obtainable in countries where true competition exists and lobby the government to block entry into the industry...if Uber/Bolt has refused to raise its charges then deal with it...go get another local app and charge higher prices and see what will happen to Bolt/Uber demand. The only card you lots can wield is to lobby the government to use mumu government policy to stifle real competition!

As a private car owner driving on those foreign platforms, I say this is a most welcome development.
For those expressing fear and mentioning DStv, your fears are unfounded, this is just an app, it doesn't require the same infrastructure that cable tv requires. The key things we've been demanding: a union, passenger profiling, reduced commission, competitive fares and a human faced customer service for drivers. They conveniently ignored.
...all of these you have said are just benefiting the drivers and they do not aim to satisfy consumers...and you will need a big spending investor who is willing to face the risks of going toe to toe against Bolt/Uber...as it stands Bolt/Uber provide services that benefit the consumers and I can imagine what the cost of the indigenous apps would be to their customers...Uber/Bolt will ultimately knock the competition out of business because they aim at boosting consumer experience at affordable fares. The agitation of the so called union is from the competitive fares of Uber/Bolt compared to the regular cabs and it seems Uber/Bolt is pricing the regular cabs out of business and they are revolting like kids...however, I think getting customer profiles is quite important for security reasons.
Family › Re: I Feel So Suicidal Because Of My Marriage. by efficiencie(m): 9:45pm On Jun 08, 2021
MeeztaFabulouz:
It is really terrible to feel suicidal all because of marriage. I use use to see different news of how people commit suicide because of relationships and I always felt it was so stupid to think of suicide just because of a fail relationship.

Now I have seen it all clear that depression is really very bad especially when you feel so depressed in a marriage you work so hard and do everything to protect and make your family happy. Its very painful when you know honestly inside your heart that you don't cheat on your wife, provide everything she wants for herself and the kids even when business is quite rough.

She has no conscience and no regard for our union and our home. I am a guy that don't think about looking at wife's phone or suspecting her for anything but then after our first child she changed completely and as of today I don't know were I stand anymore because of my kids. I opened a business for her just so that she won't be like a house wife but she has completely taken the business more important than the family and wake up 4am to start cooking and close 8pm at night. Stressing herself so much but always complaining business is not moving and she is not making any money.

I sponsor everything in the home though am not complaining because that's what a man should do, but she does not have regard for anything or appreciate anything I do. Can you imagine I give her money for feeding weekly even though she is running a food business, she buys few food stuffs in the house which can stay almost two weeks without us eating them because we basically feed from food she cooks in her restaurant. I decided not to bother myself and just give her money to always ensure her business is moving and at least food will not be a problem for us.

One faithful day, I decided to check her phone because I observed a certain strange behavior about her and how she likes to off her phone at night or sometimes when I am around. I saw different chats with some two guys she claimed one was her ex boyfriend that just likes to check on her once in a while, and the other guy was someone I remember like coming to eat in her restaurant but she said they went to school together and he is working with a construction company doing a building project close to her restaurant. She also claimed that when they were in school he was asking her out even till they fished school but she preferred her ex boyfriend to him and when she had issues with her ex that was when I came into her life.

If the story she told me is true or not, I wasn't really bothered anymore because I know its normal for a woman you met at 26 years to have met other guys before you and obviously still has guys that don't respect people's marriage and still do anything to sleep with a married woman. But my paid now is because I feel so respected by many of the things she does and when I think of divorce, I only feel for my kids who will now have to grow up with another man or having to visit their mum and see her with another man.

Recently I have become so depressed that I have been thinking of suicide so that my kids will know their dad is no more rather than knowing that their dad is still alive but can only be with either daddy or mummy and not as a complete family. My depression is getting worse especially when I think about all I have done for her and the kids just to always make them happy but in return, she doest appreciate or even have any regard anymore for what is called "FAMILY"

Over 7 years now and at this point I really feel suicidal. Please I really need help because I make this big mistake.
Sorry ehn. Take heart. This is what happens when you marry a lady that has been groomed by other men...you should seek for deliverance before depression takes you out of this world painfully.

@bold:

I agree with you 100%.

@the rest of your post:
Girls and BOYS NEED to be taught sexual purity before marriage.

Sex is an activity involving a minimum of two people that the burden of chastity cannot be on one person.

Prior to now, male infidelity was not frowned upon 'because the wives were faithful' and the men chased 'small girls'.

Today, married men are going for married women because they are less expensive to cheat with and have equal stake in ensuring secrecy. This is in addition to other reasons why the women cheat.

You cannot sow the wind and cry foul when you reap the whirlwind.

It is either you preach sexual purity to both parties or sit back and lament like the OP on the number of cheating husbands and wives.
I agree with you that the burden of chastity should not be placed on a single person and in my post I did not allude to placing the burden of chastity entirely on the ladies...instead I advocate that it starts with the ladies! It is a chain reaction. It is very easy to track virginity in a lady than in a man. A man can easily lie and get away with it but a lady unfortunately does not have that same advantage (as some see it). This is why as a more practicable social policy, I can start from the ladies and advocate that more and more them are taught to enforce the "no sex until after marriage" rule. This rule will impact the randy men badly and require that they adjust accordingly and at this point the men will start bearing the burden of chastity. Ultimately, if this is implemented, fewer men would have the advantage to cheat, ruin the lives of the future wives of men and overall reduce the rate of divorce due to cheating. So I am not advocating that this burden be placed entirely on the ladies but instead I am asking that the process of reform must start with the ladies.

Look at the porn industry. There is no gainsaying that ladies are the predominant suppliers in the industry and men are the predominant consumers...If ladies were to stop posting nude pictures, stop acting porn movies, stop profiting from sex, etc you will see a decline in the industry and more and more men would be forced to direct their sexual energies to their spouses as that would be the only option left for them. But for as long as ladies will keep agreeing readily and easily to the faintest demands of men, cheating and divorce due to cheating will never stop!

Age is a just a number.

He should not respect his elder brother because of just age but for the fact that he is the elder brother.

You should respect your parents not because they are older but because they are your parents.

Are you saying that a woman who gave birth at age 35 should be respected more by her child than a woman who gave birth at age 22?

The relationship here is what you should respect and not the age.
you contradicted yourself...age is the only factor taken into consideration when you refer to a person as "elder brother"...he is an elder brother because he is older! Your analogy is quite interesting but you can reasonably expect that the respect that will be accorded to a 10 year old would be very much different from the respect accorded to a 50 year old, right. This is so because we expect that with age comes experience and with experience comes wisdom...this may not be correct all the time because 10 a year old genius could be more highly respected than a 50 year old fool and in this regard I believe you are right that age is nothing but a number but within the family it is the age of the elder brother that makes him to be regarded as an elder brother and nothing more...so in this regard age does have some sort of significance!

Deliberately sending him on errands you can do by yourself isn't healthy.

However, he should be able to use his conscience to do some certain things without waiting to be told.

And when he fails to use his conscience, you can tell him to get some things done if you are not able to do them as a result of your busy schedule.

I traveled to the village with my elder brother last December. He's more than 10 years older than me. We needed to buy everything we would use to cook including pots, plates, spoons, knives, buckets, etc. I bought them all.

We went to the market and I bought everything that we cooked including food, meat and gas.

Don't you think it will be haram for him to sit down while I enter the kitchen to cook and let him eat? Of course, he used his conscience and did the cooking.

Since, he couldn't contribute anything financially, while will he relax and still let me do the cooking?

Being an elder one doesn't mean a superior one. Things should be done accordingly that each person must contribute to the successful running of the home either financially or physically.

He's your elder brother, not your boss.
...if the age of his brother means nothing, then the age his parents too mean nothing...we could equally say the same of the age of anyone older! Yes, the elder brother could be a jerk but as younger one regard and respect him if you want the regard and respect of someone younger...

Heart of a man!! cry

I sympathize with your elder brother in advance. Buy handkerchief for him on my behalf. He’ll need it soon.
This is why as a man never put yourself at the mercy of another man even if that other man is your blood brother...the OP is seeking permission to send his elder brother on errand. Soon he will seek permission to bang his wife or fiance...na normal thing in this mumu world wey we dey.

This is what happens when men and women become sexually reckless before marriage...and we expect them to become saints the instant they are married. It doesn't work that way. If a person has had multiple sex partners before marriage steer clear of such a person as far as marriage is concerned because no amount of love, loyalty, care, money or gifts can make that person change. We need to return to the era when virginity was a criteria for marriage. This would make more and more mothers and fathers harp on their daughters remaining virgins. More and more ladies will be less inclined to spreading their legs for men they are not married to no matter what he says or does. Fewer randy men would have the opportunity to cheat and of course more homes will have faithful husbands...but as long as there are ladies that have legs that spring open just for anything as insignificant as a glass of wine then there will always be men who will be available to cheat. According to J.B Say, "supply creates it's own demand", so if the ladies are willing to supply their overused holes randy men will always be willing to take a dive. The ratio of reports of nude female pictures to nude male pictures (on most social media platforms from nairaland to instagram) is enough indicator that our ladies are the ones supplying the fornication, adultery and pornography industry!

BRATISLAVA:
Virgin this, virgin that.

Are you a virgin? Or have you been a male public utility? Have you whored away your virginity?

Whomsoever wants a virgin must be one themselves, otherwise they are grappling in rubbish ideas about it.

Used men with their fantasies about virgins are so out of touch.
When people throw stones like this it is a sign that they are not virgins themselves or they were unlucky not to have virgins...Lol. My comment was not entirely directed at women alone. My comments could also be read in a way to address the men as well...the OP was very specific in his question. He asked why some married women cheat and no matter how hard we try to argue, call names and banter we all know the category of women, and of course men, that cheat easily. A woman that has had multiple sex partners in the past will almost always cheat unless she has been delivered by Jesus Christ. Same with the men too...and again I say there is no rule anywhere that says one must be a virgin to marry a virgin just as there is no rule anywhere that says one must be a cheat to marry a cheat. We all see how cheats sometimes marry very loyal spouses and how very good people may end up with very terrible spouses...so let's cut this crappy thinking. If as a man you are not a virgin but you have come to realize the error of your ways and can see that virgins are much much better as wives then nothing can stop you from having a virgin...If you check 99.9999% of all the bitter cases involving cheating women, the women in question likely had multiple sex partners before marriage...and they will continue to cheat irrespective of how much you love them, cherish them, give them money, trust them and groom them! Again I say, if you want to play safe as a man, irrespective of who you are (a virgin or not) marry a virgin and you will have a very low likelihood of sharing the wife you love and care for with fools!

You are just blabbing nonsense because no man is taking this advice not even you.

See how badly trained you are to be comparing women to toilets. It tells me all I need to know about you
Lol! I am not referring to women in general. I am referring to a section of women who choose a very foolish lifestyle. The Bible talks of women like that you know. I hope you are not one of such women. If you are then you need a ton of help you know. Proverbs 5:3  For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil: ...na so their mouth they be. Women with reckless legs that spread at the slightest provocation have very terrible mouths. They open their mouth lasan na lie wey fit shock demon na im go dey flow. Brothers shine your eyes ohhh and don't be fooled. The man who smashed 1000 women had one thing to say about easy women with gravity wells in between their legs: Proverbs 23:27  For a wh.ore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.

So if you want to be unfortunate in life go and marry a public utility...
