Nigerians are not against removing subsidy. All we're saying is "Put the right things in place before removing it". There is little to no sense in removing subsidy when we don’t have functioning refineries.

We refine our oil abroad and import it here, which means the price of oil will always be tied to the price of the dollar and euro. When they increase, the price of fuel goes up, and with it, the price of everything else, since energy and development go hand in hand.

All I expect to hear is, "We'll make our refineries work before removing subsify" and not this nonsense these so-called experts are saying.

PS: Dangote refinery is not a national refinery, so it doesn't count. Dangote himself has said he will sell oil in dollars and at international prices. We must refine and sell on in naira before we remove subsidy.

In a sane country, Dangote will not impose the currency he wants to trade on govt in which his company is domicile in her country.


Our currency in Nigeria is naira, every trade carries out in Nigeria soil has obligation to be traded in naira and not dollar.

This morning, Local Government officials came with Police to arrest my wife for forging my death Certificate in order to collect money from government. I can't imagine myself going to Police Station to bail a woman who declared me dead while I am still alive.
