Nigerians upbringing, social systems, value systems, culture and perception always conspire to set up an average Nigeria for a life of corruption and fraud. Look at our environment and the way of life, you will see corruption and fraud in all aspects of our lives. |
So sad, just imagine what the future holds for her children in this unforgiven country with no social welfare. I am sure the husband or whoever is the father of her kids would be somewhere drinking ogogoro and allowed the handicapped woman to fend for her self. It must have been so bad for her to risk it all to come and beg for help. A handicapped woman for that matter? Just imagine the children getting to read and see the picture of how their mother died in the future, with that inscription she was holding. It would be very traumatic and unnerving for them. My brothers and sisters, if you could offer any little help to those neighbors of yours that are struggling, please do. A lot of families are facing through difficulty and women are bearing the brunt of most of the suffering. Don't wait for them to ask. Most would not ask because of fear and other thing. Mere reading their countenances, way of life, faces, you would know that they need help and then, see how you could help. It may be as simple as giving her N2000 to get a tuber of yam or buy bread for the kids or biscuits for the children while going to school. Use this Valentine to touch the lives of a family. Don't waste it on any chic or a guy that doesn't care about you. May God continue to bless the works of our hands as we perform this charity and other corporal works of mercy. Amen |
All these international NGOs operating in Nigeria would take him for a job. Dem no dey take eye see a disabled person that is qualified for a job with them. Once you indicate in your CV that you are physically challenged, LGBT or being a woman, they will shortlist you for interview. |
Amaechi played as much part as Tinubu did but the press were all over the place, hero-worshipping Tinubu as he was the one that single-handedly enthroned Buhari as the President. Amaechi emptied the Rivers state treasury for APC and he is as much qualified to get the APC ticket if you are considering those that have funded the party in the past. As for me, they are all the same. Trust Nigerian politician at your own peril - I was just trying to make a common sense. I am a fan of neither of them. |
The more I read this kind of news, the more it dawns on me that I still need to do a lot of work on my daughter. The girl child seems easily deceived into love. Parents should continue to provide the emotional and physical support, especially to their girl child and teach them what relationship is all about to avoid falling into the hands of demons that calls themselves boyfriends or lovers. |
As if they will still be active at 65 years. Imagine a 65 year old teacher teaching in a primary or secondary school. They should go and sit down and allow upcoming younger teachers to take over. Given the opportunity, Nigerians would want to be retiring at 90 or at death. Overseas, workers are agitating for the retirement age to be brought down to 55, where as Nigerians wants it to go up. |
This is one thing I like about Lagos Catholic Dioceses. As a Priest, do anyhow, you will see any how. Okogie started the no-nonsense attitude and dutifully passed it to Alfred Adewale Martins If it was in the East, the Bishop will be pampering the priest and be sluggish in acting. There should not be any delay or setting up a useless committee to look into any stupidity. Kudos to Archbishop Adewale Martins. But seriously, that priest must be nursing one kind hatred for the Igbo tribe that he couldn't hold it again. Just imagine, a catholic priest? This one fall hand, ghan. I am totally disappointed. He must be de-robed. No waste of time |
Why do wildlife conservationists likes wearing this type of green or brown khaki clothes? |
I blame the husband. The husbands of these kind of women are usually SIMPS. As a man, take charge of your home, including your house maids and caution your wife. As my rule in the house, any Nanny or house maid that comes to my house calls me daddy and my wife mummy. From the psychological point of view, it's difficult to be wicked to a child that calls you father, daddy or mummy. These names of "brother", "aunty" is a no no in my house. Don't call me "brother" or my wife "aunty" or "madam". Call her mummy. This has helped with bonding and reduced any untoward act to the maids by my wife. |
michlins:My own section is a three bedroom mini duplex. I spent close to 1.2m on the solar, excluding solar heater which we are now seriously considering also. |
multikolour:This is cool. But that POP TV design posted by Bolu is beautiful. No colour riot. Simple and elegant with smooth finishings. |
topsy23:4.5 and eight 330W. It is only the masters bedroom AC that I put on with inverter . I on the one in the living room if I have visitor and switch back to public power. New inverter 1hp window AC works well with low voltage compare to split unit of comparable capacity based on my observations |
somehow:Honestly, I don't believe in using many windows as a form of energy savings in Nigeria with our dirty environment and poor air quality. For me, the windows in the house may be small in number but big in sizes, just for beauty and aesthetics. For quantifiable energy savings, I use solar as my energy source now. I only switch to the mains on cloudy weather. But since December last year and now, with the intense sunlight and harmattan, my solar has been my source of power. So, my prepaid meter has remained un-recharged for the past three months with good savings in energy cost. Ensure you have energy efficient deep freezer and ACs. The window AC may be out of fashion but a new 1hp window AC runs well with solar, lesser power demanding than split unit. My reason for having 1hp window AC for the rooms. |
coldcandy:Some of Nigerian interior decorators knows nothing about decoration. For some, their own understanding of interior decoration is putting lights of different colours, stuffing and cluttering everywhere with heavy duty furniture and curtains. Mere looking at Houzz website could give one an idea of a modest and minimalist decor for any given space. That's my own idea of decoration. More of space; less of material objects. |
bolu1986:Same quality finishings, neatness, smoothness and detailing?? |
mufutau55:I love wood so much. If not for cost and absence of klin-fired and treated wood, I would have used natural hard wood in lot of places. |
EgunMogaji2:But the POP TV is the raining thing now with different disco lights colours battling to outshine each other in the pop TV stand. I don't know why I am always different from the norm when it comes to taste. For my wife, this is the new decoration in every home now but I am still sticking with my wooden design TV console. |
Corrections:Your understanding was just the description of the picture as you saw it and in relation to the topic. I wanted to know the actual thing that happened. Whether the officer was arrested as a fake army man or what. Did the event even happened in Nigeria? |
bolu1986:I am not a fan of POP TV station. I prefer the use of wood for TV station design. However, this one you posted here is beautiful and neat, with smooth and clear finishings. Is it your work or sample internet picture? |
LexxoManny:Please what happened in this picture? I dey I always laugh anytime I see the picture. See how the guy was peeping and the facial expression of the officer inside the car. |
I don laff tire!!! Nigerians no get joy |

This match is meant for Cameroon. Egypt are just chasing shadows. The ref should have given the Egyptian officials red card. See how they were challenging him, even wanting to intimidate him. Cameroon and Senegal's final. Repeat of the epic 2002 finals. |
Buhari hardly forgets his loyalists. Check how Rochas campaigned vigorously for Buhari in 2015 against Jonathan, even when his party APGA was rooting for Jonathan. In the East, Buhari will never forget these three men: Ogbonnaya Onu, Chris Ngige and Rochas. These three men were practically dragging Buhari from one state to another in the East during the 2015 election. |
E never rich the wooden structure, you went sharp sharp and snap. wait when the third layer is fully removed, you will see the wooden skeleton ![]() |
I don't pray to find myself in this kind of situation. Why cant these foreign countries use drop box method or use online to approve visas instead of this stressful ways of issuing visas to Nigerian?? |
Most of all these professional and learned women, once they want to divorce, na choice properties dem go target. |
Very very disturbing at this period that hunger is ravaging the land. Poverty and poor life choices, coupled with non challant attitude of some parents have pushed young adolescent girls into early pregnancy. Secondary school girls are the worst hit. |
This one has fallen out of favour. See this pro Atiku man. Less than two months since Atiku changed his media aid to someone else, Afegbua has been behaving like a rabbid dog on the loose. |
What a traumatic experience for that little poor boy. He must be the culprit's son. See how he was looking so distrusted and lost in the whole thing |
Even me wey dey 42 still look young pass this one wey face strong and squeeze like Lagos Agbero for Ajah bustop |
This act is alien to Nigerians. Except if you are talking about abroad, especially US. US is the home of charity. People dey craze about giving to charities and instituting foundations and legacies. That's why it is the world capital of charity, NGOs, foundation, think-tank, pressure groups, human rights and civil liberties. Nigerian billionaires do not understand or know what charity is except during election or what to gain by giving and usually done in full glare of camera and video men. |
