IPOB Reacts To Miyetti Allah’s Threats, Says It Will Be Blood For Blood-Kanu

The Indigenous People of Biafra says members of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore will meet their demise if they attempt to hurt any Nigerian of Igbo extraction in the country.

While speaking through a statement by its spokesman, Emma Powerful, the Nnamdi Kanu-led group said the Miyetti Allah will lose if it tries to carry out its threat.

IPOB react to threat by the herders' group that they would avenge the death of every herdsman killed in the South-East.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported how the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore vowed to take both legal and cultural actions in avenging the killing of its 50 members, it said had died in the hands of the IPOB in the last one month.

Spokesman for the group, Saleh Alhassan, disclosed this while reacting to the killing of one of the commanders of Indigenous People of Biafra gunned down by security operatives last Saturday.

Alhassan, speaking on Thursday had said, “The security agencies should intensify efforts in dealing with all those terrorists killing Fulani herders, burning police stations, prisons and destroying institutions in the South-East.”

Alhassan said at least 50 herders had been killed in the South-East in the last one month, adding that his group would avenge the death of those members.

He said, “So far, more than 50 herders have been killed in the South-East in the last one month, we have the record and the Igbo terrorists led by Nnamdi Kanu will pay for everybody they killed.

“It is unfortunate that they have forgotten history, how we saved a lot of Igbos in the North during the Civil War but now they are killing our people. They are making a grievous mistake. We will take necessary steps, both legal and cultural steps, to avenge the killings of our members.”

Reacting on Thursday night, the IPOB said such an intimidation was meant for the South-East governors, not for the pro-Biafra group.
It added that it would 'be blood for blood.'

"Miyetti Allah, hear this: IPOB is not South-East Governors that you can threaten and get away with. We are the same IPOB that collapsed the #Zoo," the IPOB partly said in the statement.

It further reiterated that its major task is to kill the Fulani murderers marauding as herders.

"We are after every killer herdsman. We’re after you Fulani terrorists and murderers masquerading as herdsmen.

"If you implement this your threat, it shall be your last. We no longer believe in turning the other cheek, it is now blood for blood and you will lose," the statement concluded.

The governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has cried his eyes out on the recent massacre of people of Uzouwani and Nimbo towns.

The governor lamented thus: " I put a call across to the president, I was put on hold for over an hour and fifteen minutes. However, the President's aide told me that the president will get back to me.

Therefore, Dr. BJ Olowo implored the Government to desist from chasing after Oloye Sunday Igboho because he's not someone that could be caught so easily owning to the fact that he's a special being and not an ordinary human.

He also issued a stern warning to some Yoruba leaders that have been trying to betray the struggle, by giving a nod for the arrest of Oloye Sunday Igboho to also desist from such an act or else they would meet their end.

He further stated that as Oloye Sunday Igboho is untouchable, so also himself, Koiki, Omo Butter and every agitator for the emancipation of Yorubaland. If they should attempt arresting them, it's obviously going to be the last attempted move, Olowo assured.

It can be recalled that Oloye Sunday Igboho has been in the news, from the day he took it upon himself to confront and chase out of Ibarapaland Fulani herdsmen, which he alleged were those responsible for the many atrocities being committed in the land. Southeast Governors Demand Restructuring, Setting Up Of State police

The southeast governor's forum, after rising from a security meeting has made fresh demands to the federal government.

While having the security challenges of the region as a front-burner topic during the meeting, the southeast governors have demanded the creation of state police and restructuring as a final option to cut down the raging insecurities currently plaguing the region.

Speaking further, the Chairman of the southeast governor's forum, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state made this disclosure in a communique which was read out to newsmen after the security meeting which had in attendance, all the governors of the region, opinion leaders, and security chiefs.

Umahi had noted that a committee had already been set up to work out acceptable modalities for state policing and the report of the committee would be submitted to the National Economic Council (NEC).

The governors confirmed that the meeting had pointed out the need to support restructuring, setting up of state police, and other national issues which are of importance to the region

Recall this is coming after the governors had earlier announced the setting up of a regional security vigilante group called Ebubeagu.

The move was countered by the World Igbo Congress who disagreed and instead, asked the governors to work with the already formed ESN group.

The recent onslaught by the military on the ESN group has further shown the FG and state government is yet to come to terms with the group and as such, the governors may wish to have an alternative as the residents seem to reject the Ebubeagu while the governors are also, not in support of the ESN.

Ekiti-owned Ikun Dairy Farm will manage the pregnant cows in Ikun-Ekiti. The farm is to serve as a prototype for the National Livestock Transformation Plan.

It will address the farmers-herders crisis in the Ekiti, according to Mr Fayemi.

“These cows are going to be stationary. They are not roaming anywhere. They are not going on open grazing. They are right here on the farm.

“You know what we have suffered from open grazing not just in the state but across the length and breadth of the country.

“Once this model works, it will be an indication of what we can achieve through the National Livestock Transformation Plan,” said the governor.

Mr Fayemi stated this during an inspection of the newly-arrived 227 cows at the dairy farm and the farmland to cultivate hays.

He added that the integrated farm, designed to commence production of 10,000 litres of milk daily, was a joint project of Ekiti and Promasidor Diary Company.

Mr Fayemi explained that the pregnant cows would be confined to their sheds on the farm.

According to him, the state acquired about 500 hectares of land to grow fields to take care of the animals to prevent them from roaming about.

The governor said,” The capacity of the dairy farm, being put to use for the first time in the last 40 years, has been expanded to run 24-hour operation in raising of cattle and production of milk.

“The dairy farm will also demonstrate Nigeria’s capacity to be a milk-producing nation rather than being a milk-importing nation.”

Mr Fayemi visited the facility in the company of the farm’s General Manager, Hermann Kibler, and the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Olabode Adetoyi.

He expressed confidence in the private-public partnership arrangement between the state government and Promasidor to guarantee the sustainability and economic viability of the farm.

“This dairy farm has been here for 40 years, and it has not been put to use. This is the first time that it is going to be put into proper use. Agriculture, as we have always said in the state, is the pathway to progress, particularly for us. We are an agrarian society,” Mr Fayemi disclosed.

Enugu Police Headquarters On Fire, 2 Police Officers Dead
Unknown gunmen are said to have attacked the Divisional Police Headquarter in Adani, Enugu State’s Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area.

The assault occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, according to reports.

Two police officers were killed, and several others were wounded, when the police station was set on fire.

The Nigeria Police Force Zone 13 headquarters in Ukpo, Dunukofia local government are of Anambra state has been set ablaze by hoodlums.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the administrative building of the police zonal headquarters was attacked by hoodlums in the early hours of Monday, April 19, who set the building on fire.

Already, the Anambra State Fire Service men have mobilised to the police zonal facility to put out the raging fire from spreading to other parts of the headquarters.

A video footage of the parts of the police zonal command being gutted by fire, which sources say was recorded by a police officer showed the firefighting vehicle of the state fire service in the premises, an already burnt vehicle and the administrative building on fire.

The mobile phone of the zonal police public relations officer, DSP Nkiru Nwode, was consistently busy when our reporter put calls through to her phone for her reaction.

It was, however, gathered that the identities of the hoodlums responsible for the attack on the police zonal command were yet to be established as at the time of filing this report.

There has been pandemonium along the Enugu – Onitsha expressway location of the police zonal headquarters as travellers and other passers-by along the route were seen scampering for safety.
