BusinessRe: Emeka Offor’s Ill Health, Marital Feuds, His Crisis Deepens by Hedonistically: 7:02pm On Aug 20, 2016
poseidon12:
I can see why Chief Offor is unhappy with his first wife, Nkiru and her children. She comes across as a bad mother; buying a Range Rover for a jobless son with little education and probably no useful skills. How will he maintain the car? Emeka Offor, as a father should, expects his son to be a responsible man of his own. Emeka Offor is screwed obviously. We all should be very careful who we get married to or else you will know no peace in your home.
You're not making any sense. If the so-called first son is "jobless", why didn't Emeka Offor get him a job? With all his massive wealth and massive connections, the boy can work almost anywhere he wants. Even ordinary buffoons all over Nigeria who have zero skills and questionable education are working in good jobs because they have connections... This happens in both the public and private sectors, so what the Bleep are you saying? Emeka Offor's son is not more useless than countless billionaires' children who are working in their parents' company or anywhere else. Even those who are not working are still driving cars more expensive than Range Rovers and living lavishly. A good example is Obaro Ibru and his slob sisters.

Don't try to twist the issues at stake. No make me vex this evening.

PoliticsRe: Atiku To Contests For 2019 President Under PDP by Hedonistically: 10:57am On Aug 20, 2016
While I support Atiku and believe that he will make a far better and more competent president than this obnoxious Daura idiot currently parading himself as our ruler, I think certain aspects of this report are ridiculous.

So you mean Atiku can contribute N3 trillion to the PDP!!! Really? N3 trillion that is roughly $9 billion? ? ? So Atiku has $9 billion in spendable liquid assets? How much is he then worth? Make una no make me vex abeg.
CrimeRe: Check Out This Army Quote Very Touching by Hedonistically: 1:57am On Aug 20, 2016
This is absolute rubbish. Nigerian soldiers and this their senseless notion of 'doing the rest of the populace a favour'. It is extremely vexatious and provocative.

"We laid in the bush while you laid on your beds". And so? Meaning what? Who forced you idiots to join the military? You voluntarily joined a particular profession knowing its hazards and ramifications, so why are you lamenting and making stupid noise about that? And who told you that the average able bodied young man you see on the road can not perform the same duties if armed/equipped and if need be? Who told you that I cannot protect and defend myself if I am allowed to carry arms with sufficient ammunition like? Does your ridiculous and misplaced sense of superiority (because you lie in the bush) justify your disgusting penchant for unnecessarily oppressing and intimidating unarmed civilians?

By the way, who told you that 'laying' in the bush is a more important function for society than, for instance, what doctors, teachers, engineers, farmers, policemen, and other practitioners of different professions or vocations do? ? ?

Nigeria's territorial integrity has NEVER been threatened since its amalgamation in 1914, meaning that we have never gone to war with another country. The Last semblance of a war was the so-called Biafra/Civil War, which was more of a quasi-genocide against an ethnic group that largely improvised with their own self-manufactured crude weapons.. And even at that, the "war" dragged on for 3 years in spite of the massively lop-sided advantage in funding and arms that the Nigerian military enjoyed. Since 1914, Nigeria's Armed Forces have never seen or participated in a real war, other than the occasional jamboree of raping young girls, drinking Kai Kai and sharing dollar allowances in Sierra Leone and Liberia that they call "Peace Keeping". Isn't that why they have been struggling with ragtag Boko Haram for how many years now? If these clueless creatures who call themselves Nigerian Army face a serious country's military in a conventional warfare, it would take only a few days to wipe the rusty cowards out.

The only thing they do very well is to intimidate unarmed civilians in random street corners. Lie down, do frog jump, bla bla. Is that what military strength and professionalism is all about? Because you managed to lose a few cowardly lives and kill a couple of ragtag Boko Haram riff-raff, you are composing a nonsensical, condescending and utterly annoying poem. May God punish the fool(s) who wrote this useless "poem".

Until you cowards learn the rudiments of professionalism, discipline, and civil-military relations best practice, you do not deserve to be accorded any respect.

Nonsense!

Governor Rochas Okorocha was slapped by a ghost and is in an Indian hospital for medical treatment.
Hehehe!

So his mumu DSS and MOPOL busybody bodyguards could not protect him from an ordinary unarmed ghost?

Anuofia. Next time na Amadioha himself go slap you, and you would not recover from that one. That's what will happen to every other animal that is defiling Igbo land by being an APC member.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Five Things I Would Learn To Do If I Was Jobless by Hedonistically:
benedima:
Op, nice write up, lovely ideas but your topic disqualified everything.

Your topic means that You're in a paid job and you're enjoying it but advise the jobless to settle down for these (less) . You're indirectly telling us that your white collar job pays off than all these you've mentioned above and that's y you can't venture into it now.

On the foregoing, my question is that when you know your white collar job pays off, Y then do you advise people to settle for less.

You've painted the above mentioned things to do as something that brings in millions of dollars by week yet you're still in a paid job of like 200k - 300k per month

My oga, there are somethings you're not still telling us. Please speak up
My thoughts too. The tone of the topic is condescending and provocative, at least to discerning people who happen to be unemployed. It is particularly annoying when you consider that most of these types who are smug about being employed got their jobs through the back door - nepotism, connections and such 'man know man' nonsense that is the norm in Nigeria... Not that they are better qualified or more competent than those who they gleefully categorise as "jobless".

If you're such a brilliant individual who is confident in his own acumen, then you should never take up paid employment. Go and use your 'brain' and skills to make money yourself.

I also need to mention that this "jobless" tag is derogatory if you ask me. The more appropriate word to use is 'unemployed'.

So Nairaland now promotes prostitution? Who doesn't know that this girl is a certified runs girl. By giving her so much prominence, you are helping her increase the market value of her carnal wares which she hawks around all the major hotels on the Island in Lagos - especially the Intercontinental and Four Points by Sheraton.. . And her international asslicking runs in Dubai. What lesson are you teaching by accentuating her ashewo ministry here on Nairaland?

Unnecessarily formulaic characterisation.... Full of fallacies and misrepresentations.

Don't you think that not every "bad boy" possesses most of the indicative attributes mentioned here, while many "nice guys" may have a number of these traits? Who says all bad boys are necessarily good in bed, while all nice guys are necessarily bad in bed? Who says all bad guys are self-confident while all nice guys are diffident?

You people should stop upsetting the apple cart. Such stupid topics should not be given any space on the front page of this important forum.

In the end, what I would advise you and other similar foolish young girls with your confused mindset is this: Be careful what you wish for; you may get it.. Go figure.

It's ridiculous that a so-called lecturer's English is this appalling. How did this idiot get employed? I am just sad for all kinds of reasons, and the sex scandal is the least of them.

Nigeria is not a country of civilised human beings. Characters like this are 'gainfully' employed (in the supposedly knowledge-centric education sector for that matter), while numerous worthy and far better qualified individuals are left to their own devices. It is terribly unfortunate, and it explains why Nigeria would remain an underdeveloped hell hole of a country for the foreseeable future.

PoliticsRe: Name One Politician You Know Is Capable Of Ruling Nigeria And Give Two Reasons by Hedonistically: 8:04am On Aug 12, 2016
We all know that a dream candidate would never be allowed to emerge out of the blues. From the pool of current politicians we have, only Atiku Abubakar has what it takes to lead Nigeria successfully. He is a good administrator and a broad-minded leader. He is not bigoted or tribalistic: and he has a wide network of associates across all geopolitical zones in the country.

With Atiku in charge, we would certainly not hear about bitter accusations of favouring northerners or such nonsense that has held us back for long. He would also assemble a solid team for the serious job of fixing Nigeria, because he has the ability to identify and work with competent hands.

There is honestly no other Northern politician I can see doing a better job than Atiku at this point in time.

She used two strategy on you, First she divert your attention. If you watch the movie Focus(Starring Will Smite) some common tactics of thieves are displayed. It's all psychological...If your left pocket is touched and all your attention shifts there then the thief will probably steal from your right pocket and you won't even notice a thing cause all your attention have diverted to the left pocket(Oh gosh i need to watch that movie again) Secondly she use the Soviet style of negotiation as explained in the book "You can negotiate anything" by Herb Cohen's. She used this tactic as you approach her by raising her voice so everyone will hear, Faking anger and intimidating you. If you have read that book you would have know how to stay on top of the game. Basically all you have to do is even lower your voice even more than your timid voice and people will see you as a much more responsible fellow instead of turning it to a shouting contest(I don't know if this work in Nigeria anyway, i have never tried it smiley.) Sorry for your loss anyway.
You shared some very good resources here man.

Thumbs up.
CrimeRe: My Horrible Experience With Pickpocket Last Night by Hedonistically: 5:04pm On Aug 09, 2016
Where exactly did it happen? The bus stop, the area, the state?

Meanwhile, for others reading this, do not bother to confront any pickpocket who successfully steals your money. You simply cannot prove that the money belongs to you. Besides, confronting him/her is very risky, as the criminal can quickly turn the tables against you and have you lynched. If it is something like a phone, ehen, you can easily prove that it is yours. But money? No one owns money. It is only temporarily 'yours' when it is in your possession. Once it's out of your possession, OYO lo wa.

You can only try your best to ensure that the theft does not happen in the first place.
RomanceRe: 11 Super Qualities That Describe A Husband Material. by Hedonistically:
In the end, in this society, every man is a "husband material", and every man with a decent income and above is a super husband material. It is only left for these deluded girls to fantasise and theorise about the dream 'qualities' they want. Ultimately, they will settle for anything that comes their way.

I've never seen a man with a decent income who is ready for marriage and yet cannot find multiple women to choose a wife from, even if he is a grumpy, foul-smelling beast with a micro dick. What we have in their millions are over-ripe women who cannot find husbands. They therefore do not have the luxury of picking and choosing "super qualities" in "husband materials".
RomanceRe: 11 Super Qualities That Describe A Husband Material. by Hedonistically: 2:38pm On Aug 09, 2016
6. Not prying into your privacy
In real sense, every man must respect your privacy. Digging beyond to know who that text messages and your last call is coming from, as well as trying to know the relationship between you and the sender would only give him a cause to lose trust. Why then would you want to be with a man who doesn't trust you?
This is just a disgusting and deceitful point of view. You don't want a man to ask you who sent you a message and what your relationship with the sender is? You prefer a man that would be deaf and dumb while you Bleep around town? So you are expecting trust to be freely given to you instead of doing your best to earn it? Why are you desperate to protect your so-called 'privacy' if your hands are clean? As the saying goes, a clear conscience fears no accusation!

I have learnt to be very very wary of you girls that are fanatical about being trusted. Anyone who makes noise about unearned and undeserved trust is not someone to be trusted.

Good luck with such rubbish. Only very foolish men would play into the hands of you vipers.

Gbam!!!

I baffles me to hear that some women care less as long as the husband still comes back home.

They must be a different breed of women.
If your husband becomes an Ambode, Atiku, or Femi Otedola tomorrow, would you still feel this way? Would you expect him to be faithful to you lol, really? Would it even matter to you?

You women are quite funny. I have since realised that these your unreasonable expectations of fidelity and rants about how hurt you would feel are only applicable when your husband is a struggling or average guy. I don't see Nigerian women making such noise when they have a super rich or successful husband. So if you are a billionaire's wife or a governor's wife, you would be carrying face about not forgiving or forgetting, as if you honestly expect such a personage to be faithful to you. Kai. Poor man don suffer. The hustle must continue.

Let's not kid ourselves.
