Makuos19: Its not really about calling, what if i say it in my mind? When you see a lady who looks like one, you will know(in the mind) without even calling her. When you see a lawyer by appearance/dressing you will know without calling the person a lawyer.
"By their fruits(dressing, appearance, behaviour etc) ye shall know them" If you have mastered the art of minding your business, you would ignore. If she is someone you know, talk to her and advise her. If not, ignore and pray that she will become better. But going around calling ladies names is really low for anyone...male or female. The younger guys have followed in this trend and it is a pity. |

Mariangeles: Any how you want to put it...
That you're privileged does not mean you should lose sight of the fact that there some people that are less privileged...
You know what I find strange though, that most Nigerians like to pretend like all is well in this hell of a country, that people are struggling to eat, to survive...
The advice I have for you is that whenever you see one of those kids hawking, don't turn a blind eye and pretend they don't exist or they're doing something strange you've never seen before .
Call them close and ask why they're hawking, after that, you try to help out in any way you can, instead of being judgmental (some might even be orphans )
Even in the Western world, their many children beggers or kids that sell flowers, it does not mean their parents wanted that situation for them . Judgemental to who? Who said I am privileged and I have everything? We are all in this hell hole together but my mindset and mentality and yours are totally different. It saddens me when i see a little child hawking but you see it as "help". Its a thing of the mind. You that are talking... Would you send your children to hawk? Or you are only speaking from this point of view because they are not your children? The issue is not about whether the country is good or bad or if children don't hawk everyday. The issue here is...is it something that should be promoted? We as Nigerians have become so consumed by the issues of this country that we no longer can differentiate between right and wrong. If we don't change our mindset about certain things, we will find ourselves faced with it and succumb to it. |

Mariangeles: Don't twist things .
I said "there's nothing wrong with it if a child helps out its mother " Even if it means hawking. I am not saying anything different. They should start to hustle from childhood. |

Makuos19: When they call u Olosho is because you behave, act, dresses or talk like one (Proverbs 7:10) If a girl acts that way, it is not a guy's place to call her names. But guys have taken it as their business these days especially because many young guys were not trained to mind their business or to be respectful. |

Richdad50:

It is a common phenomenon on social media forums or groups. An easy way of identifying very weak and inferior men. They seldom come to terms with the possibilities of a successful woman. They were raised by fathers who subdued their mothers as they watch their mothers beg for daily soup fees.
Not every house built or car bought by a woman is from the proceeds of prostitution. There are very hard working women who work their butts off and crack their brains to earn a living. When they step out in style on a weekend to relax, then a local riffraff calls up the olosho name. Sic!
Richdad It is ignorant and unenlightened men that think like that...men that are small minded. |

I don't think they are talking about all those girls that all spend their life on Snapchat looking for men to attach to...or all the ones posing as make up artists.
There are actually women that earn good money...that work in banks, oil companies, multinationals, etc. Not every lady in Nigeria is a leech. |
Romance › Re: How Do You Feel And React When Your Decent-looking Partner Has A Terrible Past? by ImaIma1(f): 8:35am On May 23, 2019 |
That's why people don't give too much details. You start saying "i have had sex 100 times"..., "I had 10 partners"... Who is even asking for all these details?
Is it either you are a virgin or you are not. The guy can as well go for a virgin. And the ladies that are no longer virgins were deflowered by a guy. It's just a crazy selfish cycle. |

Mcslize: Aunty you don't need to convince anyone that you won't fall for any smart guy that comes your way and sweep your feet off the floor.
The faithful ones don't sing it like a song. Easier said than done. I tell you, you will still fall if you jam some smart play boys. They know the right words to say to you to manipulate your emotions, and before you know it, you have fallen yakata.
So, don't say you know thou self. Majority of women can still be manipulated by some smart play boys.
It's things like this that make some guys do betting on a girl. A guy will say, I will sweep that girl off her feet. Another guy will say you can't, I know my girlfriend. And before you know it, they will bet, and based on the fact that play boy has encountered such in the past, he knows how to go about it. They will go on the bet and place a price on it. In two to three weeks time, that same girl that said she can't fall for another guy is in the smart guy's bed playing away matches.
We don see things like this many times. And it is as a result of what you said that resulted. Some will even swear with their ancestors that no guy can make them fall. That's a big challenge you know?
Don't let players see what you typed o. Why are you trying so hard to prove that she will fall? Do you have a stake in it? You need to use your imagination for more productive things |
Romance › Re: How Nigerian Lecturers Constantly Frustrate Students And Play Demi God's by ImaIma1(f): 8:09am On May 23, 2019 |
Thank God for UI then and my faculty. The only lecturer that tried to bully my class was newly employed from another uni. The HOD got involved because the whole class said we were not going to write the exam and that would have been an indictment on the department. Eventually as agreed, we all wrote the exam and no single person failed.
I guess that's what happens when everyone comes together and says NO |

magicminister: People don’t get this!
Airlines should be made to give safety instructions I. English and in whatever language their destination speaks.
This is Nigeria, Not England!! This is not England but English is our Lingua Franca. Why didn't you type this comment in your native language? So if a flight is going to Lagos, the attendant should speak Yoruba? Or if they are going to Uyo, the attendant should speak Ibibio, efik, anang and oron languages. Then if they are going to Delta, they would speak urhobo, isoko, igbo, ijaw, itsekiri... What about the other tribes in the flight. Maybe the the airline would make sure that all languages represented in the flight is spoken. Anyone who doesn't understand their country's official language should get a translator. |

Ijawwomaninoyo: Success' parents have only two children, why are they poor? Some children just like to have their own money and save. I know an akara seller whose daughter decided to start selling bread beside her. She makes money everyday and even started daily contribution. She then bought some fowls and started a poultry. During festivals, she sells out. It might be from the children themselves, I know quite a lot of them. Was success hawking? How old was this daughter you talk about? She was business minded on her own and under her mother's watchful eyes and not hawking around. We should be able to differentiate between child labour and help or other forms of involvement. Besides children should not spend their childhood years hustling. |
