Martinez19: Na dem give the woman belle? Na dem say make she enter train? If she wants comfortable transport, let her hustle, buy a car and employ a driver. You probably make sense to yourself but I bet you would want your pregnant wife to be helped if she finds herself in a situation where she needs it. When I was pregnant, I didn't beg for preferential treatment but I got it. Security men at the ATM machine won't let me queue, cars stopped for me to cross, men stood up for me to sit. Thank God for the gentlemen we still have around. They exist even in this country. |

hayzed1090: She will always be a virgin in d sight of her husband . Yes character is very important , in fact if not the most important attribute to look out for , however virginity also is a very very great gift a lady can give the hubby now ... Absolutely right. It's a great gift. But it becomes worthless when she has serious character flaws that even her peers that were married as non virgins make better wives. Or haven't you seen a marriage collapse even if the wife was married a virgin? Don't get me wrong... keeping virginity till wedding is a beautiful thing. But it must be accompanied by good character and other traits to make a marriage work. |

lilianofentse: Me and my boyfriend have been together for a year and I love him more than anything in the world but I'm so fed up with giving chance after chance several times now I've caught him messaging other girls inappropriate stuff and I've forgiven him and then a couple of months later when I've built my trust up with him he will do it again, he also deletes all his messages so that i can't see them all which just makes me go even crazier not knowing what has been said.
2 weeks ago I found out he physically cheated on me which he said he was never planning on telling me. Since I've said we can work on our relationship, spicing up our sex life making more of an effort but it's only me that's making the effort. He isn't trying even tho he says he loves me and wants to be with me and not anyone else.
Tonight he went out with his friends and I waited for 5 hours for him so he could meet with me, instead he wants to stay at his friends because he hadn't finished playing a game. I'm so done with getting my heart broken all the time and making all the effort it makes me feel like it's all my fault the problem I have is I still love him so much but I don't know if i can keep putting my self through this all the time.
He knows how to s.ex me and I also knows he loves me but what I can't understand is why he keeps cheating on me. Modified: Ps I am trying my best to forget about him. Pls any advice on how to forget him would be appreciated. tnx Why are you still wasting your time with him? You want to cry after marriage Abu? And open thread after thread about how he is cheating? Marriage will not change him. |

My fear is that with the way women are wayward what if I make a ho a housewife, there’s no way I can settle with a woman that has had more sex than me.dont ask me how will I know, bish that’s why I’m looking for a virgin. She will only be a virgin for one night. And being a virgin doesn't mask character flaws in a person. But good luck with your search. |

DP84: The struck out part is too Walt Disneyish. Don't think the world and your surrounding will pan out in slow motion when you meeting the one. Often times, it is quite the opposite; someone you prolly never imagined or hoped.
In the end, it is a great leap of faith. You are right that it could be someone you never imagined but you should have peace in your heart concerning the person. The fact that is sounds Walt Disneyish doesn't mean that people don't experience it. Some people have wars, doubts and uncertainties in their hearts about a person but they still go ahead with the hope that it will work itself out. And who is talking about world stopping slow motion kind of thing? It comes from getting to know the person. |

Mr A is actually acting irrationally. If he composed himself with respect and restraint, he would have been respected whether he is out of work or not. But he is carrying his issues on his head and lashing out like a dragon spitting fire.
If he likes he should do shakara, but he has a lot of faults in the matter. The wife should have been able to defend him but his attitude doesn't even help matters.
He needs to use that rage to get back on his feet instead of becoming an angry tiger. His wife has probably been supportive but his pride won't let him see that.
He should agree to the meeting and also admit to his faults and stop letting pride and anger blind him. |

Ishilove: I was genuinely baffled. See how the men here are saying rubbish about Nigerian women. If you look closely and investigate, you will discover that many of these diasporan men have their own issues too.
Fact is there are many well brought Nigerian women, both home based and abroad. Someone who will marry a diasporan man and goes over there to change already has the propensity to, not because she has been exposed to Western feminist ideologies. You need prayer and divine guidance to weed out the wolves in sheep clothing, both male and female.
All these unnecessary casting shows a high level of ignorance and bias against Nigerian women The bolded is true. They also have their issues but that doesn't make us generalize. They sound like it is a privilege for them to marry a girl from here as if they themselves are perfect. The men here who keep discrediting Nigerian ladies are just small minded and are judging based on the their own experiences with the kind of ladies they decided to date. And I hope the Op is smart enough to see that. |

Car Talk › Re: Are You Bold Enough To Do Your Wedding With Any Of These Vehicles? by ImaIma1(f): 4:40pm On Mar 11, 2019 |
asuustrike1: Your assertion about Nigeria is not totally correct. Couples can take decisions without their parent's consent. The idea of waiting for one blessing or the other hasn't been favourable in most home. If the groom says this is how he wants the marriage to go but the bride and her family says otherwise, one party may suffer. Once the groom insist on a pattern the bride's family will have no choicd than to agree whether is pleasant to them or not. Yes I have witnessed cases like this and it turns out to the same as I highlighted. A groom was pressured to pay more for bride price after paying all the necessary items. He got angry and zoomed off saying he is not marrying again. At the end of the day he was begged has his decision still stand. Another scenario was were a couple wanted to use a different car for marriage but his in-law insisted on a particular car been used in many weddings. He succumb to their pressure, got married and then ban his in-laws from visiting. It took about 10 years for him to forgive them after much pleading from his wife and mother. During the wife's pregnancy till she gave birth non of her relatives visited her because the man had strictly warned her. The lady had no choice than to comply or else she sent away. Someone else took care of the child during maternal period. Another scenario was were couple agreed that nobody from their family would visit them after marriage but they can sent money if need be but no visitation. Non of the groom's family ever attempted to visit same with the bride. Those that tried regretted ever stepping their feet's in their house. These are true life stories that are happening in many marriages in Nigeria. Unfortunately we get not see them on social media. Many speculated that the marriage will crash but unfortunately it stood the test of time without interference from parents or relatives Most of what these things have nothing to do with the in-laws but the couple. I won't blame the in-laws... instead, I will blame the couple who allowed them have a say. The couple should be on the same page and know what they want and not entertain anyone dictating for them. From my own experience, we knew what we wanted. Our wedding was even an evening wedding on a day other than Saturday and everyone went along with it. My family can only suggest but not impose. The final decision is mine and my husband's. And I am even the last child with 5 older ones. Still, they allowed us do our thing. As I said, I don't blame in-laws, but the couple that condone the interference. |

Ijaycool: Before you take this silly decision in NIGERIA, First of all ask yourself
1. will my mother in law agree? 2. Will my father in law agree? 3. Will my husband's sisters agree? 4. Will my parents agree? 5. Will my mum's pastor agree? 6. Will Mike my elder brother agree? 7. Will our church youth agree? 8. Will the decorator agree? 9. Will our village youth agree? 10. Will our landlord agree? 11. Will my Facebook group (poshness bae) agree?
In oyibo land, wedding is between two consenting adults. In Nigeria, wedding is between two families trying to out-do everyother humans.
The couple can't take any decisions.
I remember saying I will like to do my wedding on low cut hair, kaiii my mum and sisters almost disowned me.
Them go dey there dey wait marriage, I will just carry belle. I dey pity them. I attended a wedding with a low cut bride...simply gorgeous. Low cut o not afro. If you cut your hair just before your wedding without their consent, what will they do? |

You can't possibly end your life while he goes on with his life even with a new wife.
Forget what he thinks of you. You are beautiful, hardworking and successful. You have your children to live for. You can pick up your life and still live a happy life.
He has chosen another person. No problem. It will be hard but you have to move on. Thank God you have work and your children to keep you busy. Go out more, spend time with family and friends. Find something that makes you happy. If you can afford it, go on vacation with your children.
You shouldn't have suicidal thoughts when the person who is the cause of it doesn't even care enough to respect you and be faithful to you.
You have tried. I think you should have allowed him be financially responsible for the house too. But you took all the load while he was able to use his money to cater for someone else |
