When a relationship gets to that stage, the romance is probably dead.
That means you're more like buddies undecided
It started from the first day of our marriage.

We are buddies in love and it's an interesting relationship. We talk to each other about everything. So sometimes we might not be patient enough to wait for the other to be done in the toilet.

Besides, shit has nothing to do with romance.

Even church will ask you to do court first of their certificate is not valid. Some church's certificate is legal and approved by the court.

Why marry if you won't go all the way? No woman wants something to creep up behind her and take her by surprise.

Come to the Christian northern region of Nigeria and see how they do Bible study to find names for their kids. It is common to find names like Leviticus,Hulda, Zephaniah,Ezra, Habakkuk, Exodus',etc over there. I have met someone with full name "Genesis Exodus".....Nice and interesting people tho.
I know someone named Winnie Mandela and I cannot quite remember her siblings names...whether Isaac Newton, Socrates, etc.

Then I know someone on my street who named her children...Light, Greatness and Laughter.

What does it mean when the person you are getting to know does not reply your WhatsApp messages even after 3 days and you can clearly see that this person is online or was recently online.

I got to know this person through a mutual friend. The mutual friend made it clear to him, that I'm someone he should take seriously and the mutual friend gave him my number and he contacted me.

So we have been talking from time to time. But he behaves wierd sometimes. Sometimes, especially during the weekends, he doesn't come online for the whole weekend and only sends a message on Monday morning. Even if I send a message on whatsapp during the weekend, i will not get a reply until monday morning. He has done this a couple of times.

Recently, I sent a message since Friday last week but he has not replied and this oga is online oo and he is looking at my WhatsApp status. The guy in question is in his mid 30s and I'm in my mid 20s.

I was thinking we can get to know each other, but as it is now, I don't have energy for stress.
Don't get worked up over someone that can't give you attention. Please ignore him and shift your focus. And when next he sends you a message, don't respond till he calls. You can't be the one doing the chasing.

Don't call
Don't respond to his messages till he calls.
Don't ask your mutual friend about him ( so that your friend won't go and tell him).

Please house, I need you advice.
Currently, I am a duty/maintenance manager in a hotel and I earn about 100k monthly, the job is stressful as I only spend a night in my house every week, most times I sleep in the hotel because I work night. I am not complaining about the stress for now, because I am not married.

I feel that I may get a job as a graduate in a State Internal Revenue agency. But I want to seek advice from people who may have worked there before. Do they pay well? As a graduate, will I earn up to 100k? If its less than 100k, would you advise me to go for it?

Summarily, Hoetl Manager and State Internal Revenue Staff, which one should I go for?
The hotel manager job is a good one because there is room for growth and you can easily move around the hospitality sector and grow. Also, the government job is also good, though IRS is not somewhere you expect to make it or be a millionaire anytime soon with that salary.

My friend has been stuck there for years now and moving somewhere else is not that easy because the job she does is specific to IRS and might not be useful in another sector.

Ultimately, it is your decision. If it were FIRS, I would have told you to quit the hotel job immediately.

many atimes I don't blame guys that are bashing our Nigeria gals, I have learnt that mejority of them are speaking out of what they have encountered in the hands of some of our ladies, frankly speaking a large percentage of our gals are so damaged that they have nothing to offer in a relationship, some many of them are money mongers, deceivers, manipulator's and self entitled bitches.

Not long ago I got one small contract job like that, I was so eager to disclose it to my gal, but I resisted the urge, instead if find it necessary to use that medium to test our relationship, so as to take it to another level, only if she can just scale through the test.

so i started forming moody, reduce my frequent calls, start acting broke, when she enquire from me to know what's wrong, I told her categorically without mincing words, that I'm broke, that I stock all my money in one business venture like that, which have refused to yield any profit as we speak, she encouraged me not to give up that things will get back to normal very soon, I said amen. one week past getting to two weeks, i notice her so called love started dwindling, I will call her sometimes she will not pick,I started flashing her to be the one to be calling, but mejority atimes she won't call. she started giving me one flimsy excuses on why she won't visit me whenever I demanded, I will just be laughing in my mind, because I made the whole scenario to look very real, so she started questioning her love for me.

while the arrangements was going on, I will reminisce on the things I have done to her, and why these her attitudinal change shouldn't be necessary. To cap it all she is now avoiding me like a leper lols, I have now broken up with her in my mind, though not official, because I'm waiting for the rightful moment.
When I see all this bashing of Nigerian females especially like the bolded, I always wonder if these Nigerian males think they are perfect or whole...like they themselves are without flaws like their counterparts.

Bashing didn't start today and it will not end now. What usually happens is that sooner or later, these men eat their own words.

You need to be careful around your mother from now. When you go ahead with the marriage, be mindful of the things you tell her especially about your marriage. She is your mother, no doubt, but you have to be wise for the sake of yourself and your own family.

Seems someone got the message, we both agreed on something "rich get class".
your friend with d huge tithe, if am to make a guess, he is rich by hustle that is why you are surprised @ d amount he paid, another guess he is married to a poor or middle class lady. all these are within the boundaries of "modus operandi".
if your friend is d funky type am sure gurls around him will be the ones scrambling over him
We never argued about the class of the rich. Off course there are classes. And the guys on this forum are not exactly always talking about the Otedolas or Adenugas. But about guys that are made already; already living very comfortably.

My friend is the quiet type and he works in one of the popular oil and gas firms. Has worked there for over a decade. His wife quit her job and moved to Lagos. She hasn't worked again since then.

Let's agree to disagree here.

Have a good night.

When we were younger we frown @every one that called us young chap now ehn i can only wish, egbon is d lastest insult. lolz
There are two categories of rich people, 1. rich by background 2. da grass to grace
80% of the rich by background don't mingle or settle for the poor cos its two worlds apart .. imagine a guy like kiddwaya , adewale adeleke how these boyz wan walka jam poor gurls ... where dey hangout a broke gurl can never cum close except she as a platform, checkout there marriages, class is a must, there family enforce it.
You see the rich by hustle guyz are the ones that makes up the integral part of your assertion ... they grew up in da same world as the poor & middle class gurls, the major difference is they made it, however preys in your zone are definitely gonna be ur diet, if you know the true strength of money you would never say rich guyz chase poor gurlz rather gurls do the chasing buh in a discreet way called positioning. lets not even go into that o ! grin table fit break grin grin
There are classes to rich people. We are not only talking about the Dangote, Waya, Adenugas.

I am mostly talking about the everyday people not the billionaires. Compare a guy earning 50k, 75k 100k with a guy earning 500k, the 1m 2m monthly. These ones earning more can afford good cars, a good apartment in a choice area, vacations abroad, etc.

The day my friend gave me his tithe (cheque) to help him drop in church, I was like if he's paying this as tithe, how much is the salary. He's not a billionaire but he can afford luxuries for his family and even travel abroad with his children's nanny.

There are other people with money, people that have done well for themselves, not necessarily the Okoyas, Indimis or Otedolas but they are not poor.

LOLzz , their is actually no gurl without a broke guy in her life, we broke ass guyz are constant, every poor gurl has a poor bf she as to reject, eject, disappoint & dispose in order to be with the rich guy, hence the reaction you see from my people.
Nevertheless, i concur with your postulation... on a deep thot there is always a gurl for every man irrespective of status. we get hope tew embarassed embarassed
wink you are funny.

There are all kinds of guys around a girl both rich and poor. The choice of a husband is a different ball game.

Let me give you an instance. My family house in an area where you would call a ghetto though under a "not ghetto LGA". We had these tenants who just had a canteen around; humble background kinda thing. These people could owe rent, and were even caught tapping our light at a point (just trying to give you a background). One of the sons was even living in the same flat with his wife and children. That's how bad it was.

They had 2 girls. One married an average guy. He had a car, quite comfortable while the younger sister married a much richer guy from a rich home even if she really wasn't doing much. The guy was always in the compound every night to see this girl.( rich guys chase poor girls and same goes for rich girls to poor guys)

I am not just talking based on NL debate. It seems I am talking to one of the young chaps yet to experience life who believe rich guys can't chase broke girls.

This life is not balanced. The sooner you accept it and live your life to the fullest, the better for you.

Don't be confused. I didn't say must, matter of fact, I said if you want to wait; its ok, but develop yourself while waiting, that's what I said pls. Not everyone will be as lucky as your friend.
It is not about waiting. There are two friends from humble backgrounds. One meets a rich guy and the other meets a not rich guy. Will the one who meets the rich guy retreats her steps and try to meet a guy that's not rich.

The kind of people you meet depends on your association and networking o.

A girl doesn't have to sit and wait for a rich or poor guy. It is however it happens.

But let's agree to disagree. We don't have to agree. Experience, exposure and real life makes usually gives a clearer understanding.

What of the scenario of my very close friend. She wasn't well to do but she married someone that had done well for himself. In fact I hooked them up because they were both my friends. He was my childhood friend. I even gave the toast at their wedding( the second wedding I did that cos I hooked up).

My point is clear. We have more ladies who are materialistic in our days than those who are simply looking for a man to share their love with.

I am not saying ladies should not fall in love with already made men. But the point is even if they fall in love, the man is still the one to make the choice either to wife her or just keep her as a mere fling. The man still remain the one with more power to decide whether to wife such a lady who falls in love with him or not.

The lady has no say to decide the fate of such relationship if the guy sees nothing valuable to get from her. That is why I said, ladies should improve themselves so that if eventually they meet a made young man and fall in love, the young man will see that value in her that will make him make up his mind to wife her. That's because already made men are very selective when it comes to choosing a wife, and if that value is not there, he will just lead such a girl on and on without marrying her.

A lady should add a value to a man's life and see how fast he will wife her.
The heart makes the choice. If either of then is not going for it, it means their heart's not really in it.

I am not one of those that see money as a god or a means to control people. So let's agree to disagree

If not every lady marry for money, then that boiled down to what Op said. You said not every lady go into marriage for money, but why must it be a wealthy man they must marry?

That simply tells it all that it is still for the money they are looking for wealthy men to tie down if not they will simply start life with a any well to do guy with potentials from the scracth.

Don't say it is not for the money. If it is not for the money why are many still looking for wealthy men which possibility of getting one is almost impossible.

You think wealthy men are fools right? No wealthy man is a fool. They are very selective. They are high valued men. That's why as lady, you have to improve yourself for any potential wealthy man to even have a fling with you.

Wealthy men don't need liabilities as wives. They need supporters who will help them make more money. But what do we have today? Ladies that are materialistic and unresourceful.

For any wealthy man to take you as a wive, he must see that you can add value to his life, support him and help him create more wealth.

He is a high valued man and all high value men look for high valued ladies to wife.

Don't let anyone deceive you that any wealthy man will just come your way and wife you without having any value to add to his life.
Oh ok, let me get this straight. So ladies must only fall in love with not-rich guys.

If they fall in love with a rich guy, it is because of money. But if she falls in love with a poor guy, it is ok since he doesn't have money.

Ok. That's your opinion. You can advise ladies around you only to allow themselves fall for guys without money.

Case closed

I look at things from different perspectives even away from mine.
A guys makes a good investment and gets good rewards and becomes a millionaire or was probably left an inheritance. He is single and wants to get married. He meets a girl who isn't well to do but he loves her. Should she refuse to marry him and instead look for a guy that is poor.

I really don't understand why some men on this forum believe a woman is better off starting from small with a man. Is it because majority of the ones with these views don't have much and are trying to campaign for themselves? Humans could be selfish so I would understand that.

But in my opinion, I won't fault either. None of them is at a loss as long as the foundation of their marriage is solid.

No single wealthy guy will foolishly jump into marrying a liability who simply comes for his money in form of wanting to be his wife. That's why many wealthy guys are still single because we have too many entitlement ladies looking for a wealthy man to tie down and inherit his wealth and reap where they did not sow.

Ladies should learn how to hustle like guys and create wealth for themselves order than looking for already made men to marry for their personal selfish interest.

Marriage shouldn't be a poverty alleviation program to women.

The earlier all our marriageable ladies of our days develop the mindset to hustle like guys and create wealth for themselves, the better for them.

Our ladies entitlement mentality is just too much in this part of the world.
It is not every lady who marries up marries for the sake of gold digging.

It still happens constantly that wealthy men marry not well to do ladies. In fact one I know denied the wife from going to law school and married her straight up without an income.

Not every man has your mindset, upbringing and mentality. People do things for reasons best known to them while outsiders are there debating about whether it is for money or not, right or wrong, etc.

People that don't have money (some, not all); who have never had the taste of being wealthy are the ones who see money as a god and as something they will use to torment others.

In such scenerio something must be wrong somewhere, it could be that the man is bewitched or the woman did something really painful to him he can't forgive. Nothing really goes for nothing. Ain't nothing guaranteed in life tho. But its better to grow with ur man, than wait for an already made man. If u must wait, develop urself so u'll be valuable. Thanks
I still disagree.

So if she falls in love with a guy that is made and he's also in love with her, she should refuse the love because he is made and go for a man that is just starting up.

Don't get me wrong o. I am a realist. I like to look at things from all perspectives. I didn't marry a made man. I picked between one that I was even earning more than over the one that had successful business because of my personal conviction.

And today, he earns more than me and we are fine. But, I have close friends who married the ones that were made and they are doing fine. I didn't see anything wrong in marrying up. It is not everyone that will start small.

Money doesn't actually make the marriage, it is the two people involved that do.

Don't get me wrong dear, I ain't making any choice for anybody here, but a word is enough...you know the rest sha.
There is no word there o.

Haven't you seen stories here of marriages where the woman started with the guy when he had little and when he became rich, things took a downturn and he abandoned her. While some end well. And don't you know people who didn't have to suffer poverty one bit who are enjoying their marriages still. While some don't turn out well.

There are no guarantees in both. Marry rich or marry poor is a choice that women should be allowed to make without being shamed. After all, some men will say they want a woman that has an income while some are fine with her doing nothing.
