Health › Re: Share Your Experience(s) With Nigerian Doctors by InvertedHammer: 3:27pm On Nov 27, 2019
HBB1:
Every doctor there goes through Residency-- you understand Residency is work right?

You are working!

If you pass your USMLE and your get matched, why will you spend 6 years again?
undecided
/
Comprehension may not be your forte.

1-2 years to prepare for your exams and understand the culture. If you are highly intelligent, you may pass Step I and 2.
If you are lucky to get placement/matched in residency immediately(rarely happens), then the minimum duration for residency is 3 years.
As a resident, you are merely making minimum wage even on long and excruciating long hours. You are not independent.

There is no way you will spend less than 6 years coming from Nigeria to practice in USA. Don't forget that you are a student
doctor as a resident and may still be kicked out.

So let me get this....

Dr. Maduka is in Sheraton chilling and relaxing, and you folks are online arguing and cursing one another about
whether he is a billionaire or not OR whether he is legit or not. grin grin grin.

Either way, it has no effect on your lives whether you are comfortable or suffering.

What's next? You will start fighting about Davido and Whizkid who is richer. LOL

Idleness is a disease indeed.

They are retrained after their passing exams again?

Stop saying what you don't know man!
/
He is right.

Pass USLME exams. Then if lucky, get Residency placement of minimum 3 years. Then one can do fellowship (for specialists).

To practice in US as a doctor trained in Nigeria will take about 6 years for very intelligent and "lucky" ones.

The difference between Nigerian doctors and the mechanics is that with the latter, one can afford to doublecheck the guesses with OBD scanners.

Good morning House,
Please btw honda cars and toyota, which is most reliable.

Thanks for your kind response
/
With Nigerian roads in mind, it is difficult to say. I don't think any car manufacturer has the deplorable Nigerian roads in mind. I believe it depends on the location. A driver that lives in Maitama and works in Wuse 2 may drive a Toyota or Honda car until the wheels fall off- no pun intended. Drive both cars from Aba-PH once a week for 3 months, it will boil down to the driver's ability to offroad and dodge potholes at the same time. Yes! That's a puzzle.

Why not find out the meaning of "buying a house" in developed nations first before saying he is fraudulent?
He saved money for downpayment. The house will be his own after about 30 years of mortgage payment. Good thing is that he will be building equity in the house.
He told his story exactly the way Nigerians want it.

Have you noticed how everyone is tagging the keyword "money laundering" without understanding the intricate details. Some police departments are known to confiscate cash on traffic stops. The owner will be made to jump many hoops to reclaim the fund otherwise it belongs to the Police.

Christians are as intolerant as muslims except that they are overtly pretentious about it. When muslims bomb churches, it makes the news. But Christians are known to burn down shrines of traditionalists and expect to be applauded for their doggedness in winning souls for Christ.

I love how people in Nigeria or other ignorant Nigerians are chiming in without understanding the factors at play.
If I wire anything above $3000 from my domiciliary account, the bank must notify IRS about the transaction.
If I carry more than $10,000 through any US airport without declaring it. The fund will be seized by the authorities if found and I will be charged with money laundering without all the sensation that follows Onyema's ordeal. They will want to know the source of the fund.

Onyema has to show the source of the fund and possibly be penalized if the paperworks were not correctly filled out. An African (especially Nigerian) moving such funds around will definitely attract scrutiny. They will find away to throw in tax evasion too in the mix. The sad thjng is that after all the gragra, the prosecutor may file nolle prosequi but the damage is done already.

Travel › Re: Deplorable State Of Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt Expressway (photos) by InvertedHammer: 3:14pm On Nov 23, 2019
naijadrivablog:
Port Harcourt Enugu Expressway is a Trunk ‘A’ Road linking the South-South to South-East geopolitical zones in Nigeria. It is a federal road but it is currently in a deplorable state.

From Port Harcourt, as soon as you negotiate Oyibo from Eleme Flyover, towards Aba to Enugu, the road is in a bad state. The road causes a lot of traffic jam, broken down vehicles, accidents, and sufferings to road users plying that road.
From Port Harcourt to Aba is about 30minutes from Rumuola junction (Port Harcourt)but it now takes as long as two or more hours. Where the section of that road is good is after Aba towards Ohuhu-Umuahia-Okigwe sections. Other sections on that Enugu-Aba-PH road are bad too.

Naijadriva can confirm that transporters conveying passengers from Enugu to Port Harcourt, instead of traveling straight to Port Harcourt, negotiate to Owerri and continue their journeys to Port Harcourt. This is farther and increase their travel time, security risk, and money – yes, time is money. The security risk they might face is kidnappers or robbers that operate from 8pm or so, between Imo State Polytechnic, Umuagwo and Omerelu (Rivers State).

We have learnt that some sections of the Enugu-Aba-Port Harcourt road is being fixed by the government but work seems to be very slow.

NB: I can't say the say for millennials though.

Only those close to him will bear the brunt and in this case, that happens to be you.

It is always fun watching bad things happen to stupid people who characteristically make bad choices in life.

The smart ones will learn from her mistakes. Like they say, it is not about committing atrocities but about the ones silly or unlucky to be caught. I bet you there are just a few virgins in Babcock. But she is the one useless enough to make a video of her escapade. She should look in the mirror and take full responsibility.

Inferiority complex is an issue affecting many Nigerians and thats why travel agents capitalise on their foolishness and self hate to decieve them to smaller countries promising them heaven and earth only for them to get there and notice that grass isnt greener and the locals there are also strugling to get few jobs available hence xenophobic crisis

Should we also snap pictures of selected areas in Nigeria, like Ikoyi, VI, Eko Atlantic, Abuja Business districs, Kano metropolise, Maitama, Asokoro .. beautiful parts of Portharcourt then we can also decieve people

Anyways, while we keep rubishing ourselves online so that people from Ghana , Togo and Kenya can ridicule us, the Lebanese, Chinese and Indians are trooping in to enjoy what we hate while our people are going out to slave off in mere kenya

One thing is to have laws, the other is to implement the laws.
Laws are continually flouted in Nigeria. The courts do not seem to be interested in justice. The laws may be on your side but incessant adjournments and or strikes, or even worse, meddling by the police will demoralize the plaintiff. It is not as easy as it seems.

Tenants are given notices prior to the expiration of their rents containing the expiration date of their current rent, renewal terms/conditions or prepare to vacate premises.

Notice to vacate premises is a whole new ball game if tenants are unable to renew rent as at when due.
