Romance › Re: Why Do Guys Run From Successful And Financially Independent Women? by InvertedHammer: 3:28pm On Nov 15, 2013
Akalia: Another point is that some of such ladies act miss independent, they don't need a man.some of them ve bent sexual oreintation....Asikwana na asim!!!
Hahaha!

The question is: Who is running away from who?
Are guys running away from "independent"(relative term by the way) women OR the so-called independent women
are the ones running away from guys.

With the harsh economic reality of Nigeria, everyone is on gold-digging expedition..men and women.
A financially secure woman is looking for a man who can complement her effort. A successful man is looking for
his better half. Independent and successful are like two captains in a ship. Something is going to give.

So successful men look for decent women who can zip their mouth grin. The usually pompous and arrogant
independent women turn around and blame men for their predicament when their biological clock's battery
is at critical level.

Honestly, I have not met any financially independent woman in Nigeria. Don't let those flashy cars fool you.
The closer you get, the more they want to siphon what is left in your account. May be to their mates, they
are financially independent because they have house, car(s), business. But if you look close enough, you will
see that they are leeching off of some man somewhere. Do you really believe that Linda Ikeji, et al. are financially
independent in the real sense of it? Come on!

By the way, I still think marriage for a typical Nigerian woman is mostly an ego thing.

Romance › Re: Whats Your Idea Of Love??? How Real Is It To You by InvertedHammer: 6:14am On Nov 15, 2013
GeneralShepherd: My idea of romantic love...

My idea of love is to be with a woman I can call my friend!
A woman I can trust and swear for.
A woman that can never betray the trust I have for her.
A woman I can have misunderstandings with now and laugh the next minute with.
A woman I can play FIFA14 or FIFA whatever year with!
A woman that I look forward to seeing after a hard day's job.
A woman I can stay up all night just to watch her sleep.
A woman I can wake up with kisses everyday for the rest of my life and she would still be excited about it 50 years from now
A woman I can show my weaknesses to without fear of being ridiculed!

A woman I can call my Ada Ada,

A woman I can cook with, the angelic mother of my unborn kids

I could go on and on but the truth is that love is an illusion!!

I tried it and I was completely shattered when the girl that inspired love in me slept with my best friend without remorse.

Now I can never believe in love,I just respect women now not love them!
Akin to what the OP said, no let love carry you enter Atlantic ocean cos it seems your delusion is leading you there.

Love is tales-by-the-moonlight for the feeble-minded. In summary, it is a "conditional" feeling that exists between some strangers...perhaps

somewhat unconditional within families.

Kairoseki77: Take it from someone that spends a lot of time America, racism is back with a VENGEANCE!

They don't try to hide it at all anymore. People in public will give you mean looks, call your children n*ggers in school, they call the President disgusting names. Every online news article is filled with comments from open, unashamed racists. And the society no longer cares.

BTW - Nigerians are the most educated immigrant group in the US! Higher academic achievement than Britons, Germans, Chinese, etc, etc. EVEN MORE EDUCATED THAN THE AMERICAN WHITES!

"According to 2006 census data, 37 percent of Nigerians in the U.S. had bachelor's degrees, 17 percent held master's degrees and 4 percent had doctorates. In contrast, the same census data showed only 19 percent of white Americans had bachelor’s degrees, 8 percent held master’s degrees and only 1 percent held doctorates, the paper reports."

I don't want to include the source for fear of the anti spam bot.
[b]

Clap for yourself!

You got it all wrong. Nigerians could have the most degrees in the world. Nigerians could be better educated than the whites.
The question is: Why is Nigeria a shit_hole with all the certificates accumulated by her citizens worldwide and all the vast
human resources?

Nigerians are more educated than Germans, Britons, Chinese in USA. Right? Compare the country Nigeria
with the other countries you enumerated. Respect is earned. You cannot force foreigners to love Nigeria when Nigerians
themselves treat Nigeria as a discarded utensil. Nigerians hate one another and are very quick to profess love to Nigeria
only when convenient. Even the few celebrated Nigerians had to fly under the wings of the whites to excel.

All the hosts see is a bunch of educated illiterates who couldn't get their acts together. If you come into Nigeria, the first feeling
you will get is that nobody is in-charge. The system is so out of sync with the real world that anomalies are accepted brazenly
as normal. Take a closer look at the life expectancy of a Nigerian in 2013. It appears that Nigeria is still in a stone age and
the nonchalant attitude of the citizens does not help matters at all.

Everything people take for granted in other countries (power, water, infrastructure) is a big deal in Nigeria in this almost 2014.
And you demand for respect. From who?

It is very difficult to defend Nigeria....very very difficult.

It does not make any sense at all.
Why not make "unintelligent" students take extra classes if you really want to punish them?

If you ban them from public schools and their parents cannot afford private schools, then what?
They drop out and "may" take to crime to succeed.

The problem with our leaders in the entity called Nigeria is that they lack vision.
Common corporations like Honda, Toyota, etc. have product designs for 2023 (10 years from now) but Nigeria
leaders only think within the confines of their tenure or rather a particular budget year.

Fashola will ban them, next governor will lift the ban, the next after that will ban and the macabre dance of indecision/confusion continues.

Why do I even bother about Nigeria?
Dude was for so many years a divorcee' long before he met the embattled wife. When he met her, she was among the numerous runz girls from ABSU flocking Enugu for Magas. Owerri city has become so cheap and saturated.

During one of the imports from Nigerian universities (ABSU), he took a special liking in her, he showered her with all the good things that will make a typical Nigerian girl go crazy; money, clothes, expensive jewelry, choicest vacation spots around the world, cars and even a magnificent building in the girl's home town. Heck dude landed in grand style aboard a chopper for her traditional wedding. Even a road connecting Enugu to the girl's hometown in Abia was hastily constructed from scratch. It was a "dream" come true!

Before and after they met, it was a NORMAL news in Enugu that the dude was a first class womanizer. He was kpekusing almost all the beautiful girls in the East. He later devised a means of compensating these young ladies with Kia Picanto. It worked cos no girl could resist his advances.

She first started by harassing and seizing every Kia Picanto driven by any young girl in Enugu. The Dude was surprised. "You never told me you wouldn't tolerate such during marriage. Afterll, you tolerated it during courtship". Dude duly warned her but she didn't stop and of course he didn't stop his womanizing ways.

Some stories has it that her craziness was as a result of what her hubby and cousin did to her in regards to adultery...the other story has it that the ogbonge jazz she used on the Dude backfired. Dude is alusi himself. Any human would go crazy for either of the two.

From day one she could walk out of the dude's lodge without anybody stopping her. But it will be her lost. She will be replaced by a younger and finer runz girl. Her former friends will laugh at her. In fact, Enugu and Abia girls have been laughing at her for the past 4 years.

She wanted to be flown abroad for treatment and shopping. And as a typical Nigerian lady, she's greedy even to the expense of her life. She wants to come back to complete her tenure as a first lady with the hope that things will be alright again.

And I sincerely hope and pray their marriage will be alright again!

God's blessings!
I will give your story 85%.
Kia Picanto? Yes!
Runz girl? Yes!
Gifts? Yes!
Hiding in trunk? No!
Jazz backfire? Possibly Yes!

You also missed the part where she would drive in a convoy to night clubs to harass the governor and his
retinue of young chics. It was very embarrassing for the governor for the wife to be creating such scenes in public.

All the ladies in the house, say yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaah! You go fear marriage na!

tpacalipse: I believed in it and I paid before. Then I stopped believing in it and refused to pay. Guess what? I have never seen any changes in anything. I progress gradually just as it used to be when I was paying. Though I still pay some kinds of money in church these days, even sometimes if what I pay is 10 percent of my income, I will never call it tithe.

As for the motive? Look at it this way; I attend my church every time I have to be there and these are the things I enjoy:
1. The church runs on generator for power all the times, and this cost money.
2. It costs money to get the church premises cleaned all the time.
3. It costs money to maintain a lot of gadgets in the church
4. It costs money to pay salaries to those who work at the church, e.g. the guy who plays the keyboard and the priests.
5. It costs money to do a little charity work.

These are my motives for paying some money at church.

Now, I do not see my God as a money doubler!
Wouldn't it be fair for pastors to state that they need money for all these things instead of
threatening the congregation with hell if they refuse to f.ck over their 10% to the leeches.

Yeah. As if the pastors hold the keys to heaven or hell. Pastors themselves are not even
guaranteed of going to heaven. How in the world do people believe these clowns?

This issue would have been resolved a long time ago if ASUU had been proactive.
There are at least 10000 ASUU members. They should have chartered buses, drove up

I am surprised that with the analysts and professors among them, ASUU still could not
fathom out that the only language the government understands is violence.

Good thing about Nigeria is that they will pay any amount for anything if you hype it up enough.

Have you ever been to Abuja? Even the much glorified Maitama Area.

Is there anything there that one should pay $70,000 for rent?

You pay all that money and as soon as you drive out from that estate you become fair game just like everybody else.

It is not even a question of supply and demand. Although it has come to be known that a good number of those high priced

areas have low occupancy rate

My people...if you have that kind of money, get a plot of land even it is in Kuje, Nyanya, etc. build your own house even if it is
a bungalow. Abuja does not make sense at all for tenants.
