Kingsmeal: Just a week after Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in as President of Nigeria, some of his Supporters have began to regret their actions, maybe as a result of the hardship being inflicted on Nigerians as regards the 'recently' removed fuel subsidy.
In a Twitter post, the ardent Tinubu Supporter wrote;

Warl0ck: God, please give Tinubu and his govt the power and ability to pull Nigerians out of poverty, tribalism and restore peace between Christians and muslim. You serious right now? A man that picked a fellow Muslim as running mate and insulted Christians by saying it's competence he went for, and has already tripled the price of petrol? He's already doing the polar opposite of what you're wishing for! The person who will do these things, whoever he or she is, does not bear the name Bola Ahmed Tinubu. |

nairalanda1: LP is basically a formation of the NLC.
It was set up by them to give Nigerian workers a political voice. (Oshiomole was their main guy before he defected to Tinubu's camp....)
So, I expect NLC to work with LP. Simple. (Plus NLC STILL opposes fuel subsidy removal, as they did in 2012). My question was not answered, tho |

nairalanda1: LOL...this your comment is funny.
Since when does an opposition party member, as tinubu was then, support a ruling party member.?
What you are asking...it is like asking Peter Obi to support Tinubu to succeed today. Very good! So, if NLC and TUC decide to do with LP what they did with APC in 2012, will they be seen as villains or heroes? |

LeoDeKing: Tinubu should be firm with his decision.
Criminals benefiting from the subsidy scam can cry blood, subsidy is gone, make dem go chop the one wey dey don save.
Funds for fuel subsidy will be invested in other sectors for the benefit of Nigerians instead of few criminals.
Yes, it will be difficult but for our good.
For those who said Tinubu is not their president, they can ignore this subsidy removal from Tinubu and comply with Peter Obi's contrary directive. What are you saying now that Jonathan didn't say in 2012? Yet the same APC, backed by you people online sold Nigerians a sack of shiit back then because they wanted to win an election. What followed was a wholesale plunder of a nation's wealth by a few, powered by APC, now you're sounding all rational all of a sudden. |

The pain we suffer today means that as we progress into the long four years of progress awaiting us, it will only get better.
There will be discomfort in 2023 so that 2024 can be better than this year, and 2025 will be better than its predecessor, and so on till Mr President honourably hands over to a new man/woman after fixing Nigeria to the best of his ability.
I believe in Nigeria. 💚 🤍 💚 I believe I will succeed in my must difficult endeavour and make my fatherland proud. I believe Nigeria will be the pride of Africa. I believe Nigeria will reclaim its past glory and surpass it.
O God of Creation, direct President Tinubu's noble cause and guide him right 💙♥️ Diswan neva wake. |

I pray he has good health not to keep going to London again Mostly people who didn't have much access to him in Abuja, but feel he can put in a word for them with Tinubu. Finally, and very soon, he will be alone, but for hangers-on after a few bucks, his family and his true friends. One of the problems of being President at such advanced age is the rapid decline that comes afterwards, limited ability to travel and show up at engagements due to age and health. If he'd handed over at, say, 65, he'd still have a good 15 years of real relevance. In Buhari's case, I'm not sure we'll be talking about him beyond next year. |

any man who walks around with $11M in cash (in such above yeye looking car with no police escort), deserves anything he gets from armed robbers because he is the biggest HE-diot in town! I'm even wondering what sort of "businessman" the guy is...... What sorta business transaction gets a man stuck with $11,000,000 in CASH?!?! Politics? Drugs? Kidnapping? Not justifying the robbers o, but a man with such heavy cash, hard-earned, will seek alternative transfer methods. |

Documents and all papers are right and after couple family intervention I decided to go for interview. I really didn't want to go to Uk I love my life here in Nigeria tho things are hard.. it's still my home I feel more connected to my father's land. Going to abroad is not my plan. My mother thinks I'm possessed by spirit that want me to not succeed. My uncles have pleaded with me to go and join my mum and sis in UK.
I was given UK visa last year, refused to join my sister that traveled this May honestly I don't want to move to Uk. I know how hard life can be in 9ja but i still love this country. Mumsi says she is really dissapoinmented in me for staying back. Did I do anything wrong? No. Not yet. If it so develops that Nigeria "happens" to you one day (I hope not), you may feel you did. |

casualobserver: Regarding your earlier post. There is no plane in the presidential fleet that can be used for commercial service. They are all private jets. Even the presidential 737 only seats about 20
As for ibom air’s other planes I don’t know the status, I doubt they can afford to own them outright. If they are then it is very stupid of Akwa ibom to purchase new planes outright.
A new plane can cost anywhere between $100m and $400m. Let’s say we are talking about a new 737 @ $100m or a used one @ 50m. In a country like Nigeria you have that sort of money and all you get is one plane, what about the other costs associated with setting up an airline, How long will you have to operate to break even?
On the other hand you can lease 5 737s at approx $1-1.5m a month. Does that not make more sense while you are still starting up. You have 5 planes, you can service more routes, your financial outlay is less and your commitment is less because you can lease a plane for a year and renew or have the flexibility to lease other types of planes if things don’t pan out as planned after a year. But if you have already spent $100m to BUY your plane and business is anot as good as you thought or you find the planes are not adequate for your route, you are stuck with the plane. You're making a ton of sense. It's cheaper and a quicker springboard to take off. A little transparency would have been appreciated from our government, though. Plus, the 737 can be retrofitted. |

MrBrownJay1: ANY airline carrier is there to MAKE MONEY... nobody buys planes and fly people around the world AT A LOSS, for pride. this is a business venture and no business venture can succeed if they are constantly losing money.
the government would just have to take money from the country's coffer to bail that failed airline out, each and every time.
dont know nothing about fraud, i am just talking about the AIRLINE INDUSTRY and how it works.
yes seems like it... thanks At least, nobody should. Our government is already doing that. Why not at least try to make some money with a couple of the planes being kept for the occupants of Aso Rock? |

Anyway, what of the other IBOM AIR planes? If the state actually owns most of just 2 planes, I'm sure Nigeria can, as well. |

MrBrownJay1: EDUCATE YOURSELF ON THE AIRLINE INDUSTRY!!!! unless you are a top company like Air France, Emirates etc, most new/small airlines company's aircraft are rented and/or bought (on credit) from failing airlines or from airlines that want to upgrade their fleet.
you think AIR PEACE own their planes....? they mostly got their planes from a Latvian CHARTER company called Smartlynx. Smartlynx own their planes not Air Peace. Why didn't FG just tell us all this? Air Peace is a business. Mr. Allen is making money and a good name for himself. If FG wants to provide an international flight service, they should please not call it a "National Carrier". In fact, it would have been better for national pride if they had rebranded one or two planes in the Presidential Air fleet, then handed those over to Ethiopian to manage. I have read some of your posts. You seem knowledgeable about the subject matter. A question please: is IBOM AIR also using planes that belong to another airline? |
