Just a week after Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in as President of Nigeria, some of his Supporters have began to regret their actions, maybe as a result of the hardship being inflicted on Nigerians as regards the 'recently' removed fuel subsidy.

LP is basically a formation of the NLC.

It was set up by them to give Nigerian workers a political voice. (Oshiomole was their main guy before he defected to Tinubu's camp....)

So, I expect NLC to work with LP. Simple. (Plus NLC STILL opposes fuel subsidy removal, as they did in 2012).

Tinubu should be firm with his decision.

Criminals benefiting from the subsidy scam can cry blood, subsidy is gone, make dem go chop the one wey dey don save.

Funds for fuel subsidy will be invested in other sectors for the benefit of Nigerians instead of few criminals.

Yes, it will be difficult but for our good.

For those who said Tinubu is not their president, they can ignore this subsidy removal from Tinubu and comply with Peter Obi's contrary directive.

The pain we suffer today means that as we progress into the long four years of progress awaiting us, it will only get better.

However, my post for today is about something different
I went on excursion to a paramilitary camp in Yakutsk, Russia, (coldest city in the world) to make some video documentaries about some vintage Russian tanks they have there. (I am still editing those documentaries)

However, at the end of my shooting (the main video) I decided to do something crazy. Walk up to Russian military (A general and a field soldier). I asked the Russian General to say hello to Nigeria and he gladly did it even with a salute!


I asked the soldier boy to say hello to my favourite Nairalander ( falseprophet1 ). (His funny false prophecies always make my day! One of the reasons why Nairaland is still so much fun for me ) He understands English to some extent, so he bursted out laughing realizing that someone's name is 'falseprophet'

My mother is furious that I don't want to come over to the UK.
This month my younger sister left for UK and it's remaining me.
Documents and all papers are right and after couple family intervention I decided to go for interview.
I really didn't want to go to Uk
I love my life here in Nigeria tho things are hard.. it's still my home
I feel more connected to my father's land.
Going to abroad is not my plan. My mother thinks I'm possessed by spirit that want me to not succeed.
My uncles have pleaded with me to go and join my mum and sis in UK.

I was given UK visa last year, refused to join my sister that traveled this May

honestly I don't want to move to Uk.
I know how hard life can be in 9ja but i still love this country.
Mumsi says she is really dissapoinmented in me for staying back.

Regarding your earlier post. There is no plane in the presidential fleet that can be used for commercial service. They are all private jets. Even the presidential 737 only seats about 20

As for ibom air’s other planes I don’t know the status, I doubt they can afford to own them outright. If they are then it is very stupid of Akwa ibom to purchase new planes outright.


A new plane can cost anywhere between $100m and $400m. Let’s say we are talking about a new 737 @ $100m or a used one @ 50m. In a country like Nigeria you have that sort of money and all you get is one plane, what about the other costs associated with setting up an airline, How long will you have to operate to break even?

On the other hand you can lease 5 737s at approx $1-1.5m a month. Does that not make more sense while you are still starting up. You have 5 planes, you can service more routes, your financial outlay is less and your commitment is less because you can lease a plane for a year and renew or have the flexibility to lease other types of planes if things don’t pan out as planned after a year. But if you have already spent $100m to BUY your plane and business is anot as good as you thought or you find the planes are not adequate for your route, you are stuck with the plane.

ANY airline carrier is there to MAKE MONEY... nobody buys planes and fly people around the world AT A LOSS, for pride. this is a business venture and no business venture can succeed if they are constantly losing money.

the government would just have to take money from the country's coffer to bail that failed airline out, each and every time.

dont know nothing about fraud, i am just talking about the AIRLINE INDUSTRY and how it works.

unless you are a top company like Air France, Emirates etc, most new/small airlines company's aircraft are rented and/or bought (on credit) from failing airlines or from airlines that want to upgrade their fleet.

you think AIR PEACE own their planes....? they mostly got their planes from a Latvian CHARTER company called Smartlynx. Smartlynx own their planes not Air Peace.
