shawn123: what is not right about this i dont know? the controller general explained the law so why do we have to bend it for the lebanese community. Please it is Nigerian law if you dont like it go back to your country. If foreign nationals need to renew passport then they have to get it in Abuja simple! We respect British laws and also the American law so our laws would have to be respected period!
talk to different immigration officials they will tell you different lenght of stay in nigeria. the first person here at the embassy said we can only get it from nigeria. when i told him we dont live there he gave the phone to another guy who said we need a change of name in nigerian papers plus bills showing the nigerian names. with naija they should know how our system work by now
qkman: I believe d 9ja Immigration suppose work wit census board to ascertain such issues but if lebanese ppl dey talk say dem 9ja immigration b rascist, why do they (lebanese)refuse to accept 9ja's into lebanese college, lagos,i think dat should be another topic but dem dey practice racism in our country.
do you have to go their schools? any community can choose to build a school and lock out the people they dont want. that is not enough to deny passports. i believe theu will get it in abuja
klassyguy: i know the title of the thread can be confusing, but wat it depicts is not actually wat it states. Here is the thing:-
I've been dating my babe for the past three years. During our first year, i met some of her friends. they all seemed to like me. My babe met some of my folks too. that encouraged me to keep up the relationship,
My babe has a friend who lives in USA. This her friend, for one reason or the other, doesn't seem to support our relationship. The friend keeps on telling her to stop seeing me, that there are more mature men out there who can take care of her, that wat does she want with someone who has no job nd just wants to start his life, that hw long does she want to wait for me. These things annoy me alot, it almost caused an arguement between my baby and i. But i know, not everyone supports a good thing. everyone has his or her own reasons.
My babe nd i steadily built our relationship to a level where i've proposed marriage to her. She accepted happily. along the line, i got an admission to study for my masters degree in the United States. everyone was so happy. My parents nd i then went to meet my babe's parents. At least to let them know wat was up between the two children, nd this is wat we want. they all came to an accord that wen i finish my masters, hopefully i'll get a job immediately, nd then they'll start the processes for the marriage.
I left for my studies. My babe nd i kept in touch, i do call her almost thrice every week. We kept our relationship going.
One evening, i got a call. It happened to be my babe’s friend. She said she was going thru facebook nd she saw that we were in the same skool. She got my phone number there too, so she decided to give me a call. I told her where i was nd she came to meet me nd i got to see her for the first time. I didn’t want to bring up any issue about her not supporting me nd my babe’s relationship, so we talked on some other issues.
Things kept on going for a few weeks. Anytime she came into skool, she’ll give me a call. We’ll talk for a few minutes. Sometimes we’ll meet at the cafetaria nd have lunch together. I told my baby that i met her friend as we were in the same skool. My babe was not too comfortable with it, but i told her not to worry, that nothing was going to happen.
One evening, she called me nd told me she was not feeling well. She said i shld please drop her off in her apartment off-campus. I picked her up infront of her faculty nd she gave me directions to her place. The following morning, she called me again saying she was shivering overnight, that she puked, nd that she wants to go to the health services center for treatment, but she was too weak to go. She said i shld pls pick her up on my way to skool. When i got to her place, i met her in bed. Her flatmate was just about leaving, so i waited in the sittingroom while she got ready.
I was watching the TV when i felt her hands on my shoulders. I turned around, nd there she was wearing only her pant and bra!!! I was so shocked. I stood up and said “Bukky, wat are u doing?” She said ever since she broke up with her boyfriend, she has been yearning for the touch of a man, she luvs me, she wants me to take her there nd then on the carpet. While she talked, she unhooked her brassier, nd let it fall, exposing her big breasts. I told her i culdn’t do it. She pushed me hard nd i fell on the couch, then she fell ontop of me, forcing her lips on mine nd grabbing my hand nd pressing it to one of her boobs. I pushed her hard nd she landed on the floor. I got up, grabbed my keys, nd left the apartment.
She later called me but i refused to pick her call. She kept on sending me text messages, telling me she luvs me, that i shld give her a chance. My baby is so far away, what do i think she would be doing? do i think she'll be patient enough for me to come back. I called her nd told her to quit playing her games, that i'll not fall to her temptations.
yesternite, she sent me a mail, telling me whether i like it or not, i must sleep with her, or else she was going to tell my babe back in Nigeria. To make matters worse, she said she was also going to call the police nd tell them i raped her if i didn't comply. If i dont want any of this to happen to me, i must f@ck her nd keep on f@cking her. She gives me three days to think about it.
I’ve never met such a Jezebel in my life. I’m at a crossroad. What do i do? I dont want to cheat on my babe, but i know wat rape is nd wat it amounts too, especially in America.
that mail will nail her with police so keep your cool. how old are u?
amebo no1.: save her email and text messages she sent to you, you will be needing it
But if after 25 years in the United States, in which time he's managed to get his PPL, he still doesn't know how to google with a mouse / touchpad, then it beggers belief he managed to qualify to fly light aircraft!
Still, this is the age of miracles, anything can happen. Tomorrow, the sun may rise in the West, and set in the East, who knows?

tpiah: mini plane ko, macro plane ni.
On second thoughts, I can find a picture of one for you and post it here if you want.
ekakids: pls my people is it proper for a housewife to ask her husband for a monthly allawance since she is not working yet.all mymarried sisters in the house i need your advice
even when she starts working you are still expected to pay.
or would u prefer other men pay it for you sir?
it is your responsibility any responsible man would gladly give his wife allowance
A-town: I think you are the "daft" one. If you know the answers to your questions, why come on a forum for answers. Why are you so much in denial. By "Prostitution ring", what i meant was that he may be involved in trafficking women for prostitution in Italy. No Nigerian man would go all the way to Italy just to sleep with prostitutes when there are prostitutes everywhere. Don't be silly. A lot of Benin/Edo women are taken to Italy all the time where they are used as prostitutes. Their "pimps" make them prostitute themselves until they make enough money to be free. Your husband may be a love-vendor. Don't bother responding to my post. You asked a question and i have answered it. I have used the word "may". If he is fine, if he isn't well thats your problem
thanks for savng the day. i knew a lady here in london who was a big madam. the husband never knew anything until someone she owed blew her cover. she is so religious you will never know.
okofoh: ok a-town.
enjoy ma'am. nigerians and italians are first cousins in smartness and crimes
ThiefOfHearts: Um did you not call michelin that or should I quote you?
and I didnt say you hate women, I said a thread will give the women haters reasons to yarn dust
Dont twist my words, JJYOU. Dont appreciate it
good to know. can you copy and paste where i called michelle a prostitute madam? dont twist your words the lady demands but it is okay for you to twist mine?
A-town: I have a lebanese friend who speaks pidgin like fire. He's Nigerian accent is thicker than fire. The only country he has ever known is Nigeria. He calls Nigeria home. During college days, whenever he had to go back to Nigeria (home - he was born in Nigeria and he's parents have lived in Nigeria since like 1701!!) he always had to get a visa because the resident permit renewal/citizenship issue was always a problem. Imagine if you had to get a visa to go home (a country you lived in for like 21yrs)
I know a lot of these Lebanese and Indians have committed offenses in Nigeria but that does not warrant unnecessary discrimination. Nigerians are still treated well in the U.S despite the yahoo yahoo scams. I never knew the day would come when the Race Card would be played in Nigeria. Wow. Racism in naija. Nah wah
you know we disstribute eevery thing by numbrs so we cant possibly let humans be more than cows NEVER. i know the madness of trying to get a spouse visa to naija so i swore to put a stop to it and that is over. i said it here before it is more difficult to get a nigerian visa than a nigerian getting visa for abroad.
Lagosboy: Thanx bro
this is exactly my point. These people have no other homes other than Nigeria and some of them will not even be able to get other Lebanese passports as their fathers were born in Nigeria. There indians in this situation as well, the world has moved on and if Britan or the Us treated us like this despite our numerous atrocities in those countries we will be crying stop generalising and all those sentimental words.
lagos boy calm down. you know i am not one of those crying injustice at every opportunity. you stay in nigeria and you know the problem with census alone. if you go check this stupidity it almost 100% sure it would be reduced to they will inflate the figures of their localty in election business.
why do ibos still go home for cencus?
you know nigeria too well for that. it is not for any sensible or efficiency reason other than stupidity. you cant tell me they wont get someone to give them passports if they are prepared to pay for it. ( before you started quoting from koran and mustafahs i didnt say they go and do it)
i know loads of people many years ago in hackney who had passports from naija done while they were in the UK. so dear bros, it is a small matter.
harryx50: I worship at Celestial Church of Christ and I love Pastor Chris.O teachings so much, One sunday, I was tempted to visit his teaching in my white garment after my church service at celestial church? My Parents insist i should worship in celestial because Christ Embassy goers sometimes dress sexy to Church which is ungodly and even the pastor's wife rubs lip stick, and i wish to worship at christ embassy, what do I do?, disobey my parenst or agree with 'em
pastors are not enough on NL. their wives are now fair games. another aladura without adura. God help you
mrsb: Being married to a Nigerian doesn't get you a Nigerian passport! The Nigerwives group managed to get the Obasanjo administration to allow foreigners married to Nigerians to work without a CERPAC card and we have an indefinite entry visa but they rarely give out the green passports. I did hear that you have to go to Abuja for a full on interview and quiz and have to be able to speak at least one ethnic Nigerian language, etc to even be considered! Not sure if that's true but there are older Nigerian ladies I know who have been here for 30+years and they still have no Nige passport.
sorry to hear your plight. i find it hard to believe you. goats and fowls have passports in nigeria and you cant get one. i am shocked what happens to people born in that lovely country of ours who cant speak thier mother tongue? they wont get passports or the kids born abroad.
if you live here and are tired of applying for visas to go naija passport is best option you have
borojasper: How many of una wey dey abroad get the country passport ? Na God go punish the lebanese, em no know road back to his / her country, 9ja immigration keep it up. Show dem what they show us abroad here. E easy to get another country passport , ??
donnie: Pls be careful in your use of language especially when speaking about holy things or about annointed men of God for that matter. I have heard loads of stories about various ministries and ministers but the last thing i will want to find myself doing is publishing these tales. That is not my christian upbringing. We dont do that where i come from. We don't advertize the devil. Such stories should rather cause our hearts to be heavy. They should drive us to our knees in intercession for God's people, not this 'telling the world' like you put it.
However, i am aware that it is stories like these that get a lot of penticostals excited. Spreading rumur.
I remember a funny incident that happened about 4 years ago.
A friend of mine who is a member of Winners Chapel and who also attends the Holy Ghost conference of the RCCG visited me and saw a certain newspaper publication with something about Pastor chris being 'arrested at Airport enroute south Africa'. I was shocked and at the same time not really suprised (cos i knew such people exixted) at his response:
Yes! Thank God. . . at last! Well i showed him where the article had at the begining of its heading an 'RE:'.
It was a response to an article published by Saturday independent. The SEC Gen of BLW was actually announcing a decision to start libel proceedings against the paper for their false reports.
A look of shame fell upon my friend's face after he examined the publication properly.
It is the same things that led the entire PFN and even CAN to war against pastor Chris for associating with TB Josuah.
They lied, Formulated stories, gave false revelations and prophesies. How many of them approached pastor Chris to ask him intelligent questions? None. They invited demon possesed people to tell them tales. They preached these lies on their pulpits. They wrote books full of lies. But in all these, we see how they failed. Truth is greater and will always outlive falsehood. What is the situation today? Are these two ministers not still bigger and greater than their persecutors?
What i always say to the watchmen: pray. Pray for the church and for yourself that you will be guided by God's Spirit at all times.
brother donnie, nawao longest time. how are u and everyone?
we should be glad knowing there is a God in heaven and NLders are not His confidential secretaries.
agabaI23: Not sure why anyone should be happy because of a split.
I often wonder why people pray for David to split with Posh. Not like he would look their way if he was single
sad to keep repeating myself this was another one of those marriage of convinience celebs do for money, mags and tv.
you will be shocked to know how many gay celebs are pretending to be married. the great PR world of the western world can do any make believe drama last long. thank God for the gulible magazine buying audience they would continue to bleed people dry.
REAL TRUTH: @ElRazur:Can you listen to yourself talking? is that the best advice you can,,that he should disregard his parents blessings. That is the most stupid thing anybody can do. @poster: Don't listen to what most people are saying here. What I would advice you is this: At 25, you are still a young man, working in a bank for 2yrs and so what? What you need to do is this, listen to your parents complains and do everything possible you can to convince them you are up to the task and that you could handle the situation.Even if it takes you and ur girl another 2 years that is what you should,,if both of are truly in love, I see no reason why you both can't wait another 2yrs.If you get married with ur parents blessings you are gonna live a miserable life all through ur marriage.Check other threads this topic have been treated several times on Romance and family sections.
well said. marry at your peril that is what i say to people like you. marriage is difficult with parental blessings i dont know what you want to call it without the blessing. dont let your homornes ruin your future. many divorces you see today wish someone stopped them from the misery they saw as love
mrsb: Guys, here is a hypothetical question for you……,
If you see a married friend of yours about to make a stupid mistake with a chick – do you call him out? Let’s say you’re really good friends with his wife, Godfather to his kids etc. There are no issues in the marriage, it is just a stupid drunken situation and you can see your boy is about to cross the line.
Would you look the other way? Would you take him aside and tell him to chill? Would you get the chick away? Or would you pat him on the back and say go on my son?
I ask because as a woman I wanted to step into such a situation recently and my husband told me to back off, that its none of my business. I’m really tormenting myself about it. I know his wife well and the guy was well out of line.
sorry even if there were plenty issues in the marriage i would personally ask for a stop. if he insist in continuing that is his signal my opinions dont matter to him.
sadly i had to call the cuttons on a good friend last year cos my mrs was feeling uncomfortable with his presence. i had spoken to him several times personally but the best he could come up with was "i wont bring her to your house" that was not good enough.
it is everyone right to do whatever they wish. it is my right too to demand i dont be associated with bad behaviour.
what if the wife came to meet you there? what if it was your husband and she knew what would you expect she does? show me your friends as they say
Lagosboy: We are forgetin gmost of this people had their parents born in Nigeria. We used to live in Apapa and i know the lebanese comunity there had been there since the 60's .
I beg to diasgree with this as in the UK it is different once you have been granted citizenship. These lebanese are already Nigerians they are not applying to be Nigerians but they are applying to renew the passports (document), that is the issue here and not weather they should be granted citizenship or not as they are already citizens. Why descriminate against someone with a Nigerian passport?
what is your problem? do you know not everyone in UK have citizenship rights. what happens to the kids born here whose parents dont have citizenship rights?
are there not ethnic nigerians going to the abuja office for passports? what is wrong with going to abuja please tell me in simple language.
tpiah: I dont see why Nigeria cant award citizenship by birth. Is this a colonial era law? Most times, birthright citizenship benefits the host country and helps economic growth.
It only becomes a problem during global meltdowns.
It could also help a lot of immgrants who feel they're "not Nigerian" despite having lived in Nigeria for decades, to feel less inclined to violence, imo.
I could be wrong though since many African problems have constantly defied solution.
the UK dont give citizenship by birth too. i dont see the wahala with naija here. these guys can go to abuja. that is simple.
check every immigration services abroad if you are not originally ethnic, your files are handled by a specialised section not only in nigeria. what if they had this section in warri or burutu? they wont go.
ikeyman00: yes u right^^^^^ jugde
but wait when ur ass got caught in drugs at east asia
u might just be addressed as british-nigeria
so what is nigeria got to do with that
infact nigeria should even change their constitution, these people shouldnt be given passport until they spend 15 yrs in nigeria, they should also speak igbo, yorobo, or ausa lingo, know our history
by then their yeye 419 mouth no go get liver to call someone racist
and for those immgratin to naija, the account should be check to make sure they have enough to live in naija
slowpoke
o boy it is not that bad na. na only visa to naija wahala dey make some people get passport for thier family. being married to nigerian get you a naija passport quicker.
unbelievable. do you all intend to cut off your friends after you marry?. life is for living every relationship should not lead to sex.
o boy if you have the money and you can comfortably let it go there is no harm in being nice to an ex girl/friend.
i would also strongly suggest you work on the matter of trust in your marriage. i would personally tell before i give even though mine would never find out. i like to believe i have enough credits to be trusted by the significant other.
