Family › He Is Married, But I’m Pregnant For Him by JJYOU(op): 9:38pm On Jan 10, 2009 |
He is married, but I’m pregnant for himBy Kemi Ashefon Published: Saturday, 10 Jan 2009 I am 32 and have dated a married man for six years. Recently, I discovered that I was 14 weeks pregnant, but he wanted an abortion. I refused because I have had two abortions. He cut off communications with me and went about telling stories about me. What do I do? R.S, Lagos. I still can’t fathom why some single girls run after married men. First, I want you to know that a large percentage of those men are not ready to have another wife. They need mistresses that can satisfy their lust whenever their wives misbehave at home, pregnant or nursing babies. Though there are some who really go out to have extramarital affairs to requite their wives’ wrong-doings, they still don’t think of marrying those girlfriends. Only a few of them would really want a second wife, and this could be due to infertility or marital stress. What do you do? Maybe you hold on till he accepts. I am not an advocate of abortion, so I would not advise you to go ahead with it. At 32, I don’t think it is safe. Exercise patience and discuss more with him; he could change his mind. http://www.punchng.com/Articl.aspx?theartic=Art200901100122126 |

Family › Re: How Is Your Relationship With Your In-laws? Poll by JJYOU: 8:32pm On Jan 10, 2009 |
chaircover: I am extremely lucky with the in-laws I have been blessed with. My husband is the last born and was a mummy’s boy but his siblings are good people and want him to be happy so have accepted me as his wife.
I am treated very well and so I ensure that when they come to visit on holiday they are treated like royalty too and nothing is too much for me to do for them.
I treat his senior sisters as the senior sisters I never had and even though they are in their 50’s we spent many a time gisting, teaching me how to tie those skyscraper gele’s, teaching me how to cook the more difficult and ethnic dishes, and the meaning of Yoruba proverbs, shopping etc etc. I will say that half of my 18ct gold collection were gifts from my sister-in-laws.
When we are chatting on the phone my husband has to beg for a 30 second conversation to speak with them before the credit runs out. His sister jokes with him & tells him to go and find his own sister and to stop being jealous.
The way I look at it is that these people were the ones who helped nurture my husband into the great man that he is today and I am appreciative for that. Having said that my husband’s family are generally nice people and nothing is too much trouble for them & I feel the same towards them too.
On the other hand my husband & my mum are the best of friends and he calls her 10 times for every one time I call her. So it does work both ways.
I believe that it the marriage benefits when both families get along. God bless you my sister. may you know peace |

Crime › Wikipedia’s Unfair Comment On Nigeria by JJYOU(op): 7:22pm On Jan 10, 2009 |
Wikipedia’s unfair comment on NigeriaBy Our Reader Published: Saturday, 10 Jan 2009 I happen to be one of the teenagers who resort to the Internet for information and use the Wikipedia as the main source. I was browsing through the website recently when I stumbled on an article titled “Advance Fee Fraud”. I had thought it was a law article that would cite the history of the above mentioned word, but I couldn’t believe what I saw. The article was in no doubt written by a Nigerian who must have thought that dragging the nation’s name in the Mud would fetch him some sort of national honour or give him access to working with the government either here or outside. The article dwelled entirely on how the “most popular crime in Nigeria” (Internet scam) was being done and what the crime-minded “Yahoo Boys” call their victims. The writer wrote so professionally on every aspect of it that one cannot but conclude that he was once into it. The question is why do we have to wash our dirty linen in the presence of the entire world? Internet scam is, of course, an illegal act, but can two wrongs make a right? The best way to fight Internet scam is to approach it from the victims’ end, not from here. The reason why the writer decided to identify Nigeria as the country that pioneered that act is obfuscating. Fighting Internet scam at the expense of Nigeria’s reputation won’t take us anywhere, irrespective of the medium used. I have tried to edit the article, but the WIKI Foundation won”t just let me for reasons known to them. At the time I was writing this letter, I had sent an e-mail to Jimmy Wales (the founder of the Wiki Foundation) to consider the article. It is now left to us all to stop soiling our reputation in the eyes of the international community. inspired_m: [b]Yeah Some Vessels were diverted to Calabar and neighboring Ports, I personally think the Bureaucratic Clearing Procedure is the Only reasonable explanation for the Congestion, the Yuletide Excuse is flimpsy because Ports were Opened all through except on Public Holidays
While I understand that RORO is not applicable to Vehicles shipped out of Canada, In My Opinion, RORO is still the fastest form of Shipping Vehicles to Nigeria except for Extremely High Valued Vehicles which may cost a tooth to insure via RORO.
You can explain to your Pre order Clients since the Problem is No fault of Yours, I had same Issue with Some Pre Order Clients that needed their SUVs for Xmas and Seeing the Problem is General, they had to Understand, I also Informed all my Pre Order Clients with Vehicles Pending about the US $ rate and how we can work to amend the 70% Balance Due to adjust to the New Rate and So far Most of my clients have been Understanding and Supportive.

Politics › Re: Pictures Of Oshodi Market Demolition by JJYOU: 1:14am On Jan 07, 2009 |
OBVIOUS: The sad part is until you create alternatives, moves like this are just a waste of time. Another Oshodi market will be created. why is breaking laws easy for nigerians? why must markets be every where? go to benin it is like everywhere is market now. i wish they get a governor like this there too. damola1: Frankly speaking, in as much as what Fashola is doing is commendable, I think it's a waste of Lagos state resources.
Facts:
He's planting flowers everywhere, making everywhere 'beautiful' He's destroying all markets for renewal, He's collecting taxes up and down.
But how the hell does this connect to the issues facing Nigeria.
Issues like: Electricity, and corruption.
He only created another means for policemen or KAI people to collect bribe from Okada riders. No one needs to teach you to beautify your environment, go and look at VGC, they have eaten well, thats why they do it, same thing applies to America and Uk, only those that eat well, beautiful the environment, and mark my words, Tinubu tried that stuff, at least in Ikeja as I recalled, after some time the previous habitants destroyed it, it's going to happen again. Mark those words, all these flowers will be gone. mmmmmmmmmmm so lawless reign supreme abi |
