Yes you can use solar inverter to power AC but the size rating must be between 10-15KVA. The load consumption of the conventional AC is high but there are some low power consumption AC called inverter AC..
How many KVA of hybrid solar inverter can power 4pcs 1.5Hp inverter AC's running at once 3 reserve and price.

Thanks for sharing this. I got value!

I’m always ashamed to share my energy cost on a public forum. Since November 2020 till date, I’ve only bought N6,000 credit. I’ve relied 100% on renewable energy.

Abi make I share my meter number to check if this is true? grin grin
A transformer that I installed for an event center got only N11k bill pere in the first month of use during the handover stage.
There are at least 16 3hp ACs in the building and about 20 2HP. I did 60 x 60 energy saving lights in the hall. I think I have over 60 pcs installed.

Renewable energy can be expensive if you don’t control its use.
Another important thing is the selection of your household equipment.
Man, we need your help with the secrets behind this low bill, if average house of 5 bedrooms receiving 18k per month crazy bill for light of about 7 - 10 hours a day. Another location that I think is fair is paying 8k with prepay meter per month for 3bedrooms with everything, and average light of 12-16 hours per day even before prepay is install . I don't understand this ooo same Ikeja serving both location. I am tired of fighting this people

Solar is really worth it but you have to prepare for the raining season when the sunlight is not bright enough.
I've gone off-grid also due to the crazy bills phcn give me. The initial cost could be high but it would pay for itself on the long.
Like you rightly stated the batteries emit gases. Even the sealed maintenance free ones but the wet cell gives off more harmful gas and needs adequate ventilation. It's the one I use because it can last 5 years when well maintained and prevented from draining totally before recharging it. You just need to monitor the water indicator level and top it. Perhaps every 3 to 6 months. Although mine is going 3 months and the level is pretty much as it was when they fixed it.
I changed my freezer to a new model that uses 90 watts and use led bulbs and standing fan even though I could easily use it with ceiling fan.
During high sun period from around 10 am, I use ceiling fan, washing machine and it doesn't affect the battery because while the battery is still charging fast at high sun period, excess charge power those appliances directly simultaneously.
I reckon if I have to replace the batteries in 3 years, it would still amount to paying N10000 monthly with 24 hrs of power. It's still worth it.
Why are you using harmful toxic batteries while you could use dry cell? which has no need to top anything.

He should have also requested for certifications/trade test from baba lati, iron fitter, window fabricator, pop installer etc, etc, etc, and make verifications at the relevant bodies.

If one wants to work professional he/she should go down the whole mile.

This is the way it's practiced around the world that Nigeria seems not to be part of..........
Sir, both of you are right. If we have functional systems that work from top to bottom all these things is not what we be discussing online, though the rules are completely different when it comes government contracts.

Sir there is no need to be this aggressive, he is just suggesting an idea that is being practiced around the world. We understand our system and government don’t have visions, not ready for national planning for development. Why do I say this, everything in our country is politic, tribalism. People are loyal to their tribe them country. How can we develop with these kinds of mentality.

Some business lessons I learnt from building a house:

-Assemble the right team.

-Fire faster than you hire. If he doesn't fit in, let him go immediately. A trial is enough.

-Roll up your sleeves and enter the market. Know the prices or better still, buy the materials yourself.

-Be there. Monitor it yourself. It is difficult for people to reproduce exactly your idea or thoughts if you are not there to direct and supervise.

-Use the best quality in the market.

-Don't drag a bad work. Kill it at the early stages. If it is not good, stop it immediately.

Bros many of these things that people lied that are imported are made in Nigeria. There are many glass manufacturing company in Nigeria, I new one in kaduna since 1980 okay, so with POP powder, tiles, wc, pvc and many more. Matter of fact, am having conversation with someone last night about gas cylinders tubes, not knowing the company I worked for Technology Tools Engineering design them and manufacture them in another division along Apapa Oshodi express in Ilasa, called MIDGAS. I just don’t understand why people undermine capability of what Nigeria can and producing till date, I know for fact no one can deny the quality of Nigeria made cables, the are still one of the best in world till date. there is no how precast will last longer. Precast is to save cost and join the parapet crew. If one can't afford the casting on the building, they should just leave parapets.
There are different opinion to this , if someone can afford to build a house worth over 50 million; I can assure you he or she can afford a parapet on it if they choose to . Some people choose to go for precast for different reasons, it give opportunity for different amazing design one can achieve with precast, secondly other opinion consider additional weight to the building due to the terrain.

Please is this ok ? And what other items should l look out for because he mentioned many l can't recall.

Yes is good enough depending on the depth of the borehole,
make sure he bought good Cooper coil brand. The Submersible pumping machine come with everything things needed to make operable, the only thing you may is the rope. The driller installed the pipes.

I like the way you keep investing in tools to make life easier for your workers, in doing so you save a lot of money as well. What I’ll like you do is spend big money on power tools as well train your workers how to handle and used them. This reminds me when I want to start one of my project l asked them rent generator, the guy is asking for 8k a day for 4/6 hours daily, me buying the petrol to run it ooo. I asked the guy if I bought him 10 of the same generator to rent them out and give me 4K day he can keep the rest, he laughs and said Oga e no the work like that.

A parapet is a barrier that is an extension of the wall at the edge of a roof, terrace, balcony, walkway or other structure. ... In the Bible the Hebrews are obligated to build a parapet on the roof of their houses to prevent people falling.

Simply said, parapet is an external wall extension on the roof edge with a coping(concrete, aluminum, etc)

Truth is that we all have seen it in old generation Nigerian bank buildings and some other builds.
Thanks, I always refer to parapet as facia concrete. Is its possible to have both as designs on a building, base on roofing design? Professionals tip in your ideas

Nice building. I concur with rotecch77.

But if you intend to do bring out the boldness more in this build you should do a modified version of a parapet retaining wall before you roof at that low kingpost( no need for hidden roof per se
I hope we know there's a big different between parapet walls and concrete fascia.
Keep up the good work.

This is beautiful. Old time religion is a school of architecture. Only few can do it.

There is ancient and there is modern. Edo (Benin) children are the worse culprit in ignorantly knocking down beautiful traditional buildings to build monstrousity. So many Edo children have pulled down paradise only to build a parking lot.

Same is said for Ibadan (ancient Oyo Empire) beautiful buildings parked with history. It only takes a son/daughter with 'new money' to knock down centuries of history to put up a flat roof monster with glass, glass everywhere and Chinese metal internal doors to announce they've arrived. But no, they've not arrived. They've knocked down history with their parents spacial legacy and time stamp.

If you inherit such building as a child, before you do anything to the building, you should be asking yourself, if mum or dad's spirit is walking around, would they find their way 'home'? Would they recognise their building?

Foolish children. I will wake up from the grave to give you twelve lashes on your bottom.
Please don't blame the children sir. Fail government, upon fail Government and brainless leadership over the years are the problem. This historical building should be classified as landmarks to preserved our history, even if the the owner choose to modified it, it can be only the internal not the external to keep the historical relevance for newer generation. Our politicians are our problem, one of my old friend now politician converted one of our open green area where we grow up together playing football. He converted into an event center. When I asked him why, His respond was the elders of the neighborhood brought the idea to him that's how they converted it to their personal joint ownership imagine.
