PoliticsRe: Chukwuma Soludo Is Living Large - Says Sahara Reporters by Lagosboy: 1:13pm On Mar 16, 2009
Stealing is stealing. Thieving is thieving.

In the western world politicans have gone down for just going on a cruise ride with business men. It is unthinkable to have the chancellor of the exchequer in UK going on jollying around with the CEO of banks which his job is to regulate.
There is what we call conflict of interest and i think Mr Soludo could be guilty of this.
Christianity EtcRe: Pastors At Garages/Motor Parks by Lagosboy: 9:19am On Mar 16, 2009
Wonders shall never end. you mean this happens in Nigeria?

Is this another form of agbero or what? i think respectable christian cleriges should start a serious campaign against this shameful act and rid the motor parks of these miscreants.

KunleOshob:
@post
I don't even know why you bother to refer to such obvious charlatans as pastors, they are at best con artists trying to prey on the travellers cos of their fear of accidents and armed robbers on Nigerian roads.
True talk as this is just extortion, if there were good roads there would not be need for this shameful acts.
Christianity EtcRe: Do The Angels Have Free Will by Lagosboy: 9:11am On Mar 16, 2009
In islamic concept, angels do not have the free will to do anything and that is the difference between angels on one hand and men and Jinn on the other.

Lucifar,Satan,Shaiytan, devil, Iblis or any name you wish for him was not an angel but a jinn. Q18 vs 50

Man is made from clay and jinn from fire and that was the arrogance of Satan for not bowing to Adam at his creation. He was rebuked for his arrogance and pride.

Angels are not subject to hell fire as they have never been given a free will to do evil and the men and Jinn that pass the test of the world and make it to paradise are rated above the inhabitants of paradise as they went through the rigours of temptations of the world.

IslamRe: Any Igbo Muslim In The House by Lagosboy: 9:01am On Mar 16, 2009
I guess osisi post rest the case. There are igbo muslims like there are yoruba muslims, chines muslims, arab muslims, Scottish muslims, french muslims et al.

We should be matured in reasoning and arguing. Islam transcends tribes and races and islam is not exclusive to any tribe. Christianity as well is not exclusive to any tribe, the main reason why the igbos anre predominantly christian is due to the missionary works of the 19th and 20th century. There were no active islamic propagation in the igbo land during this era and that is the obvious. 90% of people take the religion of their parents in Nigeria and that is a fact.

I hate it when nigerians stick to this.
I'll use Bill gates for instance. Enough of this drop out bull crap.
Let me tell you something, MICROSOFT would probably not be in existence today if Bill Gates didn't go to college.
He dropped out when he was already a freaking Junior. In case you don't know, once you're a junior, ur there already. Senior yr is just projects and shit but u've primarily acquired enough skills to excel academically at this stage.
Gates dropped out because he figured the project "school project" would be more beneficial to him if he dropped out and utilized it.
He obviously didn't get a certificate but he had been properly equipped by the college
My guy take it easy no one is saying people should not go to uni and read my post in context. The thing is realising u ve got something to offer and pursuing it vigorously. University education or certificate is not a factor in this. The truth is these people dropped out and a drop out is someone who never acquired a certificate form the institution of learning period. Lets call a spade a spade. A drop out is a drop out, having the technological intelligence or business talent is a different thing.
IslamRe: How Do U Realy Perform Ghusl Janabah? by Lagosboy: 11:43am On Mar 13, 2009
shafiyah:
ACCORDING TO SUMMARIZED SAHIH AL-BUKHARI,UNDER BOOK OF GUSUL, CHAPTER 1.

Narrated Aisha (rodiya lahu anha)the wife of the prophet (s.a.w):whenever the prophet(s.a.w)took a bath after janaba he started by washing his hands and then performed ablution like that for the salat(prayer).after that he would put his fingers in water and move the roots of his hair with them, and then pour three handfuls of water over his head and then pour water all over his body.
I think the hadith cannot be taken like that, Hadiths have to be explained in context to the time and and fiqh ruling.

Ghusl jannabah according to the 4 fiqhs

1. Wash the privates
2. Wash the hair by taking water to the roots of the hair
3. Performing ablution without washing of legs
4. Pour water across the body starting from right side (In Hanafi its from the center)
5. Lastly wash the legs
6. Shahadah

Wallahu a'lam.

Could you please state how you do it or how it was stated where you read it then I could see if it is what i know to be the right one. You should note that there are very slight differences of doing it and this is due to differences in fiqh. This difference i know is very slight.

BusinessRe: Aliko Dangote And Femi Otedola Richest Nigerian Billionaires: Forbes by Lagosboy: 7:57am On Mar 13, 2009
Jarus:
Aliko finished from Al-Azhar University in Egypt. Femi and Mike schooled in UK, but I can't recall the schools they went. It is common knowledge how Mike was a cab driver in London while schooling. How can a whole Sir Michael Otedola not send his son to university?
While it is a known fact that the level of education has little to do with material attainment in life, it is also well known that the chance of an unschooled person making it is lower than that of a schooled person, especially in today's world. Moreso, wealth is not the only measure of success. Wole Soyinka is not rich(in the context of these men) but he got fame through his academic attainment. Wealth may not have brought him that. Rasaq Okoya, for instance is far richer than WS, but Okoya cannot step into some places WS can easily walk in.
Bro aliko never had a university formal degree, he only went to egypt for some crash courses/degree in business way after making it as a billonaire. He started business in 1979 then a teenager.

Femi Otedola never went to a university either, yes his father was a governor in Lagos but Femi was not the education serious type. I think he did a diploma course in printing as his father used to have a big printing press.

Adenuga studied in the US and not UK and he his the only one out of them three to have a proper degree.

Education is wondeful but is not the yardstick to financial success. To me i believe entreprenueral skills are inborn and you can only acquire part of it through training. The ability to take risks vary for person to person and that is what differentiates entreprenuers from others.

Branson,Gates, Paul Allen, Dell CEO, Ambani father, Aliko,FO there is sumthin common abt all this fellas and it is no formal degree but financial success is outstanding.

Nontheless, please no one should diss university degree if u are not sure of what u wanna do.

@ Zombi

I amdire these men and dont hate them in anyway i was just stating the allegations against Mike by Ribadu dats all. I personally know politicians use most of this businessmen to launder money as well. I personally know of a former governor who gave one big business dude billions to invest for him. This is not to say this business men are not wealthy themselves of course they are incredibly liquid.

BusinessRe: Aliko Dangote And Femi Otedola Richest Nigerian Billionaires: Forbes by Lagosboy: 4:33pm On Mar 12, 2009
Big money will make noise by itself the man behind it doesnt need to but the money will.

Bill Gates doesnt need to make noise but his money can never keep silent.

Kunle has analysed it. Quoted stocks are easily evaluated and Aliko's wealth as well was only quantified on his quoted companies of Sugar anf flour mills, several other companies under the Dangote group was never evaluated.

The same goes fo Mike as it is only Conoil that is quoted and he bought this as a quoted company already - National Oil.

I also hate to hear IBB, not Mike, owns Glo.
Bro there is no smoke without fire, IBB could well have a stake in Glo and oter Mikes investment. I didnt say wholly owned but a stake.

Remember Ribadu traced 18% of Glo to Mohammed Babangida and 12% to Atiku.

BNP Paribas where Mike got some loan from is based in France where IBB's loot resides comfortably. IBB's connection in France and monaco is incredible and no one can touch his wealth and investments in them places.

Becomrrich:
That is nonsense, you do not have to run second term . He is allow to run for president by the constitution. Look the PDP have no chance at the poll in 2011. Yar adua is sick, how many people would want to vote for a sick man, who most govt is said not to have made an contribution so far to the lifes of Nigeria. ?

PDP have problem in returning. Look in the last 50 days, In kano and Jos , two northern cities, Yar adua have been stoned by northerner. It tell you is chances in the north are not good. Buhari says he is running , that is another probelm for yar adua.

It would be difficult for the PDP. take my word.

The only way Yar adua can win the poll. is if Yar adua listen to us, that he should help in removing the yoruba to the republic of Benin, if not the only option the PDP has to win in 2011, is that Yar adua resign. And let Jonathan run the last 2 years, and see if he can redeem the PDP. If not PDP would be history and the only way they can win in 2011 is rig the election. and Nigerian would resist the PDP. see what happened in Jos.

Yar adua needs to remove the Yorubas to the republic of Benin or resign, if not PDP would loss. this is the honest truth.

Christianity EtcRe: Pls Explain This. by Lagosboy: 12:56pm On Mar 12, 2009
You cannot test God but it is God that could put you on trial.

Trusting in God is having belief that he can do anything for you no matter the circumstance you might find yourself in as long as you know you are at peace with him.

Trusting God is believing in his might ,  his ability , his power in context to the situation you might find yourself. This trust and belief without compromise in times of problems. crisies or trials  could translate to you passing his test.

In life we would always face trials and tribulations and that is what makes life interesting. The ability to withstand the storms of life with absolute faith in your creator and not compromising your core beliefs in him is trusting in God.

This is my humble explanation and God knows best.

This na juju, it is called "Ashe" in yoruba. It means anything u demand for would be granted by the person. That is the belief in yourba fetish spirituality.

My advice is to steer clear from the woman and why did u go to seek her consent before asking for the help you needed. did you go to her for prayer so your request from the person could be granted?
