SmartProf:Did you read this part of the write up? "‘The spirit of the law forbids anyone to contest for nomination under two or more parties in same election or even start the process of being nominated by procuring the nomination form.’' |
Her over fed puff up face spells GLUTTONY. |
Evans ppl again. |
OVB123:Continue advertising your ignorance. First of all the issue is not about Zamfara but about the AKK project which aims to access southern gas to northern consumers in order to generate more revenue and also reduce needless wastage and pollution in the south through gas flaring. Secondly, mining of solid minerals in Zamfara (and elsewhere) along with oil in the south are all in the exclusive list for which there is a standing sharing formula for such proceeds (if any) by the FG to all the federating units of the country (without bias). Of course this does not exclude the fact that, just as you have illegal theft of crude & refined oil in the south; you would also have similar illegal activities in Zamfara by individuals to the detriment of the FG and its composite units. |
OVB123:Stop advertising your bigotry and ignorance. First of all, the project would effected by BT (Build & Transfer) where the contractors would provide 100% of the funding. Secondly, it is not stealing since the gas would not be provided to consumers in the north free of charge but to be sold at profit to the FG. Thirdly, the estimated cost of the (AKK) project is not $6B but about $2.8B - get your facts right. Lastly, the project would be beneficial to the Niger Delta area (from where most of the gas would be sourced) because it would increase more consumption and therefore reduce unnecessary resource wastage through gas flaring with it's attendant pollution of the area. |
athaboi:If you could read (and not blinded by hate and bigotry) you would have noticed that the pipeline was not for oil but for GAS (as you wrongly assumed); in addition the pipelines would not only terminate in the north but also continue to form part of our future gas export route to Europe. Furthermore the project was conceived seven years ago, clearly under the Jonathan regime; you cannot therefore fault Buhari (as you wrongly did) for bringing this particular development to the north - which in any case would be beneficial to the Niger Delta because the project would encourage consumption and therefore reduce gas flaring along with its attendant pollution of the regional air. |
Chinedu Obi - raped employer's 12 yr old twins and Chibuike Kalu - raped his own 14 yr old daughter. Any surprises? |
babaolofin:Let me ask you a few questions: Are the above you listed not pipelines? Do they form a network? Are they not in this country? Are therefore not part of our national grid? Will they cease to exist in the country if they were built or funded from different sources? How is the AKK a propaganda if built? How could my statement be lie if it was not factually incorrect? |
Privatepart00:Just like it always increases the pain of the average wailer. |
humilitypays:Just like the foolish ones who would fly to Thailand, Malaysia etc with a belly full of cocaine straight into the arms of an executioner. |
Short sighted nonsense from a 'Has Been' trying very hard to stay relevant as a twitter politician - since when does Shehu Sani speak for the north? First of all; northerners are not afraid of restructuring; but are simply tired of the flip flop policy of southerners, who have so far proven to be dishonest co-travellers; avoiding to play by the rules by trying to shift the goalpost post in the middle of the game whenever it does not favour them. Lest we not forget that it was southerners who abolished our once regional/federal structure (with nearly 100% resource control) for the current unitary system; which the same southerners who caused it are now unashamedly turning around to blame the north for it. Secondly, having concentrated power at the centre; no president, whether northerner or southerner; Hausa Igbo, Yoruba; Muslim or Christian would want to cede his presidential powers (as per the exclusive list) to the federating units (states or regions) in the name restructuring. This false narrative, that northerners are afraid of restructuring, is mainly being pushed by failed disgruntled southern politicians and their media outlets; who cannot access power at the centre and therefore a piece of the so called national cake; they have therefore resorted to desperate blackmail tactics of playing regional, religious and ethnic politics to curry favour and support from their ppl. The wailing is unsurprisingly loudest now that a northerner is president and at the helm of affairs; if you were to replace tomorrow with a southerner, all the said hoax crying and agitation for restructuring would automatically mellow down with alacrity - just like it did when Jonathan (a Biafran) was president and was even quoted as saying that the Amalgamation of Nigeria was ordained by God - not surprisingly none of the present wailing Blodas ventured to challenge him then. https://www.nairaland.com/1573085/amalgamation-nigeria-ordained-god-president |
babaolofin:And you clearly cannot read; because if you could; you would have come across this statement in the article; "The project will result in the establishment of a connecting pipeline network between the eastern, western and northern regions of Nigeria." |
PapaBrowne:I guess you did not read the part that said the project would be by BT (Build & Transfer) where the funding will 100% provided by the contractor. BTW Nigeria was once described as a country floating on Gas with a speck of oil; which sufficiently indicated the relative abundance of untapped natural gas (some of it also in the north, especially the Benue Trough); that could be utilised not just for generation of electricity (as you wrongly concluded) but as well for many other uses, including fuelling of cars & generators (after necessary conversion), cooking and powering of present and future industries. Note the project is part of a national network covering the whole country; the AKK is the one covering the north; while those covering the south are either completed or in the process of completion. |

yyba:Not too far from the truth. |
As usual; the discredited ranting machine, Reno Omokri, is once again caught in a lie; while desperately trying to distort and twist reality along the line of his misleading propaganda for his gullible flock. Imagine; how could anyone say an 18 year old is a Child let alone (if married) a Child Bride - only Reno seems to know how.

Openbusiness:You gotta be kidding; so according to you, having paid the ultimate price Jesus effectively abolished Mosaic laws and also wiped away the act of sinning - and where in the Bible or did he (Jesus) prescribed jail time for the crime of Rape? Some Christians, having already been brainwashed against other religions are too shocked and ashamed when confronted with the true realities of their own religion and therefore try to rewrite it (through their many times revised Bible) in order to suit their modern permissive lifestyle. Quite on the contrary; Jesus supported the Old Testament's death-penalty provisions when he said he came not to abolish the Mosaic Law but to complete it.[ Matthew 5:17] He warned that anyone who sets aside even the least of the Law's demands, and teaches others to do so, will be lowest in the kingdom of heaven.[Matthew 5:18-19] |
I bet majority of them are our nomadic developers and India would be all smiles for being relieved of her problematic guests. ![]() |
Supposedly educated southerners still believing in such primitive backwardness. |
