See mumu talk o...how is Obaseki competing under 2 parties when he was screened out from participating in the APC primary contest? This man's analysis is so daft and grossly deficient that you will prefer listening to a cock crow, than listen to his opinion on issues. His statement has ended up announcing him as one who meets the case definition for psychiatric evaluation
Did you read this part of the write up?
"‘The spirit of the law forbids anyone to contest for nomination under two or more parties in same election or even start the process of being nominated by procuring the nomination form.’'

Continue advertising your ignorance.

First of all the issue is not about Zamfara but about the AKK project which aims to access southern gas to northern consumers in order to generate more revenue and also reduce needless wastage and pollution in the south through gas flaring.

Secondly, mining of solid minerals in Zamfara (and elsewhere) along with oil in the south are all in the exclusive list for which there is a standing sharing formula for such proceeds (if any) by the FG to all the federating units of the country (without bias).

Of course this does not exclude the fact that, just as you have illegal theft of crude & refined oil in the south; you would also have similar illegal activities in Zamfara by individuals to the detriment of the FG and its composite units.

They are just stealing our resources to the north. imaging the cost of the project - $6 billion and yet our useless politicians from the south will just keep quiet, it shows that they are weakly when it come to national politics.
Stop advertising your bigotry and ignorance.

First of all, the project would effected by BT (Build & Transfer) where the contractors would provide 100% of the funding.

Secondly, it is not stealing since the gas would not be provided to consumers in the north free of charge but to be sold at profit to the FG.

Thirdly, the estimated cost of the (AKK) project is not $6B but about $2.8B - get your facts right.

Lastly, the project would be beneficial to the Niger Delta area (from where most of the gas would be sourced) because it would increase more consumption and therefore reduce unnecessary resource wastage through gas flaring with it's attendant pollution of the area.

They still dey drag Niger delta oil go north?? The one they are spending billions searching for in the north don disappear?? The lanky old soldier in aso rock seem not to be leaving anything behind in pushing development up north like this is their final moment in Nigeria
If you could read (and not blinded by hate and bigotry) you would have noticed that the pipeline was not for oil but for GAS (as you wrongly assumed); in addition the pipelines would not only terminate in the north but also continue to form part of our future gas export route to Europe.

Furthermore the project was conceived seven years ago, clearly under the Jonathan regime; you cannot therefore fault Buhari (as you wrongly did) for bringing this particular development to the north - which in any case would be beneficial to the Niger Delta because the project would encourage consumption and therefore reduce gas flaring along with its attendant pollution of the regional air.

This is just propaganda. I don't want to stress myself again. Check through some of my submissions on this project since last year. We know what is happening. WAGP is conceived by Chevron supported by partners, EWGP from Delta to Lekki and various other projects to IPP and power stations are different things entirely. This AKK project of 614 kilometers for a start with $2.5billion loan from China is a political project for the North. I don't want to stress myself again.
Let me ask you a few questions:
Are the above you listed not pipelines?
Do they form a network?
Are they not in this country?
Are therefore not part of our national grid?
Will they cease to exist in the country if they were built or funded from different sources?
How is the AKK a propaganda if built?
How could my statement be lie if it was not factually incorrect?

PoliticsRe: Shehu Sani: Why The North Is Scared Of Restructuring by NaMeAboki: 10:49pm On Jun 28, 2020
Short sighted nonsense from a 'Has Been' trying very hard to stay relevant as a twitter politician - since when does Shehu Sani speak for the north?

First of all; northerners are not afraid of restructuring; but are simply tired of the flip flop policy of southerners, who have so far proven to be dishonest co-travellers; avoiding to play by the rules by trying to shift the goalpost post in the middle of the game whenever it does not favour them.

Lest we not forget that it was southerners who abolished our once regional/federal structure (with nearly 100% resource control) for the current unitary system; which the same southerners who caused it are now unashamedly turning around to blame the north for it.

Secondly, having concentrated power at the centre; no president, whether northerner or southerner; Hausa Igbo, Yoruba; Muslim or Christian would want to cede his presidential powers (as per the exclusive list) to the federating units (states or regions) in the name restructuring.

This false narrative, that northerners are afraid of restructuring, is mainly being pushed by failed disgruntled southern politicians and their media outlets; who cannot access power at the centre and therefore a piece of the so called national cake; they have therefore resorted to desperate blackmail tactics of playing regional, religious and ethnic politics to curry favour and support from their ppl.

The wailing is unsurprisingly loudest now that a northerner is president and at the helm of affairs; if you were to replace tomorrow with a southerner, all the said hoax crying and agitation for restructuring would automatically mellow down with alacrity - just like it did when Jonathan (a Biafran) was president and was even quoted as saying that the Amalgamation of Nigeria was ordained by God - not surprisingly none of the present wailing Blodas ventured to challenge him then.

babaolofin:
You are lying. The government through NNPC and Presidency on one hand and China as partner know that project is a political project with loan from China.
And you clearly cannot read; because if you could; you would have come across this statement in the article; "The project will result in the establishment of a connecting pipeline network between the eastern, western and northern regions of Nigeria."
PoliticsRe: More Pipelines Arrive Kaduna Ahead Of The $2.8bn AKK Gas Project Ground Breaking by NaMeAboki:
PapaBrowne:
In my honest opinion, this is a senseless project for the simple reason that spending that $2.8billion to build just the pipeline would have built the largest Solar farm in the world(2500MW) right in Kano which could probably supply all of the Electricity needs of North West Nigeria.
There is so much sunlight wasting away in the north it’s a no brainer spending that much to build a pipeline to transport gas from the Niger Delta when gas availability is not even guaranteed.

The current largest Solar Power Station in the world is in Pavagada, India @ 2000MW. It cost $2.1b.
With $2.8bn there is no reason not to do something like that with that kind of money.

If you spend $2.8bn to build a pipeline to pump gas all the way up, you still need to build a gas power plant costing same amount, you also need to ensure maximum security of those pipelines over hundreds of kilometers etc.

A solar plant would have made all the sense a million times more.
I guess you did not read the part that said the project would be by BT (Build & Transfer) where the funding will 100% provided by the contractor.

BTW Nigeria was once described as a country floating on Gas with a speck of oil; which sufficiently indicated the relative abundance of untapped natural gas (some of it also in the north, especially the Benue Trough); that could be utilised not just for generation of electricity (as you wrongly concluded) but as well for many other uses, including fuelling of cars & generators (after necessary conversion), cooking and powering of present and future industries.

Note the project is part of a national network covering the whole country; the AKK is the one covering the north; while those covering the south are either completed or in the process of completion.

Christianity EtcRe: The Punishment The Bible Prescribes For Rape by NaMeAboki: 3:41pm On Jun 14, 2020
Openbusiness:
[/s]
Oga you are talking in the rubbish! Christ has abolished fulfilled the Law and the Prophets. The wages of SIN is death, all sin, not just Rape alone. The soul that sinneth shall die, the Good book also says. Going by these, alone, everyone should be killed, not just rapists alone because sin is sin before God. Even that harmless little lie is sin that is punishable by eternal death. But God decided to show mercy, and Jesus paid the full price for all sins. So we don’t live by the laws of Moses any more, but by the Laws of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. So what should be the punishment for rape today? The punishment is jail time, not execution. How long should the jail time be? Well, that's up to the courts and legislature to decide. But if I was to suggest, then I will say, the more violent the rape act, the more repetitive the rape act (for people that enslave others for serial rapes as sex slaves) the longer the jail time. If the rapist murders the rape victim, then it is no longer a rape case only but a murder case and must be tried as such
You gotta be kidding; so according to you, having paid the ultimate price Jesus effectively abolished Mosaic laws and also wiped away the act of sinning - and where in the Bible or did he (Jesus) prescribed jail time for the crime of Rape?

Some Christians, having already been brainwashed against other religions are too shocked and ashamed when confronted with the true realities of their own religion and therefore try to rewrite it (through their many times revised Bible) in order to suit their modern permissive lifestyle.

Quite on the contrary; Jesus supported the Old Testament's death-penalty provisions
when he said he came not to abolish the Mosaic Law but to complete it.[ Matthew 5:17]
He warned that anyone who sets aside even the least of the Law's demands, and teaches others to do so, will be lowest in the kingdom of heaven.[Matthew 5:18-19]
