Logobenz:
How does a person that help build the empire not have money of her own so much so that she has to depend on marriage severance to be able to cope on her own?
You think it's by staying at home and catering for children that translatea to "help build" right?
What kind of woman will want to divorce and risk it after enduring for 27years?

Will a capitalist do that?of course not!So how come a non capitalist is claiming she HELP BUILD?
No make me vex ooo!if I talk wetin dey my mind you no go happy.
Better tell her to calm down and allow you guys enjoy your possessions, else she'll have herself to blame.
I hope the ladies are learning ooo

They said staying at home and taking care of kids doesn't translate to helping the man build.

American wonder.

Bros that's the way she is, you were making it seem like she was only being that way with your family alone in that your other thread at least you know that's how she is with others too.

You have to accept her the way she is or kindly let her be and look for someone that fits into what you want.

My family this, my culture that... She doesn't relate the way you want then let her go.

You're right, it will gum like superglue because there is a supernatural enzyme in the air composition of Nigeria that forces curses to take hold.
It's probably why people living in developed countries don't have this power, because this supernatural enzyme is not present in the air they breath.

This is just another proof of the psychological confusion in Nigerian women - today you will pretend to be modern and complain about men with archaic traditional mentality, tomorrow you will begin advertising archaic witchcraft powers.
Neither here nor there.

Some of una mumu just too much...
You don't have to believe curses can work.

There's a place for modernity and also a place for matters like this, two different things entirely.

OP kindly revert those curses.
Family › Re: I Placed A Curse On My Husband. by NoToPile: 1:04pm On Dec 31, 2019
The marriage covenant is a strong one and breaking the covenant in any form makes the party involved vulnerable to all kinds.

Trust me you don't want a faithful legal spouse to curse you, it will gum like superglue.

This is far different from the curse words people throw around, which might also come to pass by the way.

So OP kindly revert those curses.

She doesn't want to have sex which is what will happen if she continues the relationship abi is it by force.

And now that you know they are troublesome, insecure, hanging onto their brother, crazy, greedy etc.

Dont you think it would be better for you to nip their accusation in the bud instead of talking "shouldnt", "couldnt", "it doesnt matter" bla bla?

Even that person who quoted me talking about sacrifices, cant you see the woman is already on a slippery slope from the beginning?

You people keep talking about yourselves instead of the person writing. Do those people sound reasonable to you?
grin grin grin

Point is they will never be reasonable, it doesn't really matter what the wife does or not. She can NEVER please them, she can as well do her thing and ignore them after all they will still complain and wail as usual.

Family › Re: My Sisters-In-Law Are Causing Problems In My Marriage! What Do I Do? by NoToPile: 5:31am On Dec 21, 2019
midnighter:
The post you quoted up there was about the way OP tried to be sneaky with the children knowing it would probably cause trouble.

They do not have the right to bully her on the basis of sacrifice, but her actions in that instance may have provoked them into feeling that she is a child being carried on the back who doesnt know where her bread is being buttered.

The mans children belong to his family and not yours. If you know you want to drop them with your mum you can sweeten the in-laws up by carrying them along. Letting them know where the baby is or taking them to visit once in a while would have pacified them so that they wouldnt complain that youre trying to colonise their son. Does her mother own those childrenhuh

That was just the point I was trying to make to that lady who quoted me. If you know you want to get away with something that doesnt make sense why not try to code it with a small respect instead of making it so obvious that you dont care what they think?

Even if you dont care, why show it to them? They will start reading all sorts of meaning into it, maybe that she thinks she has arrived because she has enough money and is the only one bearing children for the family lineage so she can carry their ward about as she pleases and they cannot do her anything.

So why wont they disrespect your mother when you showed them your yansh firsthuh

It's not called being an "only son" for nothing, so if you marry such a person you should understand that certain aspects of your relationship with his family may be sensitive and require careful considerations to avoid trouble later.

Even if she is not being honest about the source of the mans wealth its obvious that they must have taken care of him in one way or another, financial or not so it would be wiser to give credit where credit is due instead of doing "how is it their business". Ha, it must be their business ooo
In reality all these back and forth about taking the child to mum when she was schooling is not really necessary, once her husband supports the idea, its really not their business as long as the couple are in agreement to where their child is, if it was a safety issue it's a different thing entirely but this one is just about being troublesome.

I dont know what tribe the OP and hubby comes from but I believe you are also talking from a cultural inclination.

A woman taking her child to her mum while in school in agreement with her husband is not something inlaws (whether sane or not) should have issues with. If they ask its as simple as baby is with my mum for sometime since I am in school. She doesnt need their permission, she can tell them about it but its not something they are supposed to wail about.

First son, only heir, the child belongs to the man's family, etc doesn't even come into play here at all. What of grandparents that dont have sons, cant they take care of grandchildren from their daughters?

Well never knew its an offence in some cultures for the wife's mum to come for omugwo and also take her child to her mum as she was schooling despite the fact that the husbands mum is late.

Orishirishi

People should watch the families they marry into.

The OP's husband is not wise, ability to manage your wife and siblings is a true test of maturity.

When they chase his wife out his eyes will be clear and maybe they will start performing wifely duties for him.

Do you know that most women also voice this concern when you ask them to leave abusive men/toxic relationship?

They will tell you they cannot train their child alone only for their father to enjoy the benefits. The reason doesn't hold water where lives and emotional well-being are at stake but still taking care of child is not an easy task even for two people.
Its a valid concern that's just the truth and its because of situations like this, its not right but lots of women would endure all what not just for him to do his rights as a father, some even die in the process. Some are smart enough to take a decision and flee.

In this case some are already stating it was just for few years he was absent what a lot dont understand is that the mum was both mother and father during those years , during those times he failed as a dad and thats it.

My grouse is the OP saying he didnt get to hear his fathers side of the story for leaving them for those years, thats not fair. Theres no excuse for that abeg.

Let him reconcile if he wants to he should leave his mum's suffering out of it.
Family › Re: Deadbeat Father: How A Nairanlander's Quote Ended My Family's Rift. (photos) by NoToPile: 8:57am On Dec 13, 2019
Loool, so the moral is never ever train your child alone as a woman, las las the they would say they didn't listen to their father's point of view for abandoning them at some point in their lives.

A father has no excuse for abandoning his children (even if its just for a few years) irrespective of his issues with their mum.

Op you can reconcile with your dad, but dont EVER try to water down the sufferings of your mum.

Well, for me it just about man's inhumanity to man and I'm hoping God will see me through. Got married to an Igbo man and everything became a nightmare immediately after my third child.

My womb got ruptured when I was in my ninth month and my womb was removed though the baby survived and this man abandoned me in the hospital coupled with the fact that I gave birth to a girl, making it 2 girls and a boy.

My family rally round and paid my bills because it was through CS, came back home he has already moved out with my first two kids and denied me access to them, all along it's seem I wasn't observant enough to noticed he was keeping a mistress and planning something serious with her. Because he is living with her now.

I reached out to his family and they are like their brother needs more children and male kids which I can't give him now. So I should forget about him. So I became a single mum just like that, catering for the new born baby alone.

Well,my problem now is how to sue him for all the demages he has caused me and also retrieved the other two kids from him.Getting a competent lawyer will cost good money, which I'm still working towards it

This is my previous thread though about this

I have discovered that its mostly young/ fresh doctors that always have this attitude issue, the senior ones tend to be more professional.
