It was during my NYSC days I got to understand that the get rich quick mentality pervasive among Igbo youths is all built on the desire to show off back at home during Yuletide that they have arrived. As a corper serving in a NEastern state, there were these two fellow female corpers of Igbo origin with whom I got quite close on account of us being members of the same church denomination and attending the same parish in that town. Our batch's service year started in July. As Christmas was approaching, they went to market and bought about 20 different complete sets of dresses each. On asking why, they made me understand that each set of dress was for each of the 20 days they hoped to spend in their hometowns before leaving. I asked if it was really necessary. Then they explained to me that back home in the SE, a person who returns from the diaspora and wears a particular dress twice during his stay around is viewed by the home based folks as not being prosperous where he or she is based .

Dapo abiodun was at the last PMCH, he shared testimony, I think he's an Mfm member.

Sanwo-olu is also an MFM member, he and his wife were also at the last PMCH.

Reason I am always skeptical about churches that start today and already have thousands as members.

Seeing how my mum and her eldest sister have fallen out in their old age, I will just say, everyone should be careful of what they do, you might think your sibling is not aware of all these, you would be surprised they are watching and habouring all waiting for the perfect time to cut you off. Never ever treat your sibling bad probably because you are far older ( in their case it was the eldest versus the youngest NO 1 and No 7 so she was far older than her) because the tables may turn.

I was really shocked when my mum told me ' I was just watching her all these years swallowed all she did, waiting for my own child to grow up and able to stand on her own and become successful, I took all insults in good strides, now my child is able to stand on her feet, I am damning her.

They talk and greet when they see at occasions but things have fallen far apart.

No wonder they were not even told.

But that kind wedding its hush hush they do it na and then send their own portion of the list of items brought to them, no need to make it loud.

There's an aspect of linguistics called DISCOURSE ANALYSIS. It focuses on analyzing a text, speech, speech patterns, text patterns and how words are communicated. Discourse Analysis are used even in courts of advanced countries.

I analyzed the text just as I would do any statement, facts or otherwise.

1. Busola raised allegations against Fatoyinbo
2. Pastor Funke admitted to have worked behind the scenes, meaning Fatoyinbo has likely been pressed to give account of whatever happened.
3. She also admitted it took her time to come out because 'serious work' had to be done 'behind the scenes'.

Now see this...

1. She thanked God Fatoyinbo stepped aside to allow for fact finding
(a possible obstruction of justice would have happened or that he would rope the church in his mess. COZA was never accused but Fatoyinbo came out to dismiss the allegations leveled against him, using COZA's letterhead paper. He never seperated his church from his person and this was what Pastor Funke meant).

2. And then she mentioned HEALING (who is to heal, the accused or the 'victim'? Is she implying that Busola, seeing Pastor B on the altar or knowing he still preaches would hurt her?)

3. And she mentioned RESTITUTION immediately after healing (who is restituting here?)

4. And then 'JUSTICE CONTINUES' (this, here, is everything. What justice is implied here; that the truth continues to come forward or that Pastor B continues to be the subject of social media trial or that Busola continues to 'suffer'?).

5. ... THAT THE CONGREGATION THAT GOD HAS ENTRUSTED INTO OUR HANDS ARE GUIDED WITH LOVE, INTEGRITY AND WISDOM (love because the truth and pure concern for the church must be exhibited; integrity because Fatoyinbo must deal with the church with all honesty and not sway the members because he is the manager and finally; wisdom because the congregation must not be led astray and support the foolishness of what is thrown at them)

6. THE HOUSE OF GOD SHOULD REMAIN A SAFE SPACE FOR All. (this is more declarative and assertive than a suggestion. Statements as this are often directed at or towards someone or a people. It could be towards Fatoyinbo, members of the church, social media jurors, even Busola and the family).

7. NO FORM OF ABUSE SHOULD HAVE A PLACE IN GOD'S HOUSE (notice she said 'no form of abuse'... Also note this is coming at a time after she has 'worked behind the scene' to make her findings.)

8. MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY IS WITH EVERYONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCED BROKEN TRUST FROM THE CHURCH. BUSOLA. EVERY GIRL. EVERY BOY. EVERY CHILD. MAN. WOMAN.

Perhaps you might want to ask why her apology is coming after she stated that abuse of whatsoever form should not have its place in God's house. Also notice she was specific by mentioning 'Busola'. While you could say it means nothing, understand she is the purpose of her piece in the first place.

9. THE CHURCH IS EMBRACING ACCOUNTABILITY (how? By making the accused responsible, regardless of his position subject himself to justice and allow for it to 'continue'?)

Her statement alone attests and admits certain things even though she was generic with THE CHURCH and not specific. But this is coming after:
