CoolAmbience: Though lengthy but I seriously get your point.
To be double sure I did, your position is that he should go abroad on the account to improve himself and come back to avail his country of his premium expertise...and not just stay back in a medical system that is very functional whereas the real needs reside here in Africa.
I think you are a very smart and patriotic individual. I am so surprised that we still have your kind.
I will tell you my short story. Four years ago, I went abroad to train on a novel technology that is currently benefiting the world; and which has a much bigger prospect in Africa. During the training, the team abroad discovered that they needed to keep me and asked if I wanted to stay. Nothing dem nor do..... You won't believe that I declined to stay back in North America because I imagined the huge losses that would happen back home in Africa if I remained overseas. I imagined how much opportunities would be lost if I stayed back. I felt that the continent would collapse without me. I felt I would be judged by that.....the feeling was intense and indescribable.
Not minding that the foreign team was willing to get my young family to join me abroad, I had to come back and try to do something to help my country and continent.
Not everyone can be like that. We are different people. You won't believe that I still consider that as the best decision I have made in life.
So...I truly understand you...but still, we all don't have the same drives and dreams. God help us all my brother. One thing about the whites once they see your potentials they'll do anything to keep you in their country, they know the benefits. |

Sheriff19: God bless you bro. Honestly you have taken these words out of my mind. Nigeria is really in trouble not only because of our politicians but because of our mentality. I met a man in Australia sometimes last year, who told me he had an intention of establishing a small start-up(Nigeria ) in 2016 through his brother who happens to be in his final year (Nigeria University) during that period. He said after discussing his plan with his brother, he (his brother) advised him not to even think of coming to Nigeria not to talk of investing. That he is not willing to manage any business or set-up for him (despite the fact that the money was on ground that time.) he said all he wants was to leave the country as well. The man said he as almost finished his saves now and he said he felt he made a mistake by taking his brother advice. What we don't know is that most of these countries are on the alert for Nigerian in their embassy, for you to secure VISA (with that passport is very difficult) you will be hearing some furnish questions, imagine after submitting a letter of admission from a university abroad, the interviewer still ask you what you are going to do in the country and that you should also get a reference latter from someone staying in the country. Our passport is one of the weakest because everybody want to travel but the reality is that many will not have the opportunity to do so. OP, actually one of the best experience and education in life is to travel and which will make you to see things from different angles, you are more assured of a better life and working condition abroad than Nigeria. though, I have never been UK, but you will definitely have a better life over there. However, the British build the UK and no body we build this country for us. Just after you might have settled in UK try to also contribute your quota through professional practice or whatever means to assist the country (not only by sending the Pounds ), all of us can not leave the country you know. I pray God help us all, if it continues like this there'll be no country call Nigeria in the future. The little we have let's us use it to build our nation instead of running late to build another man's nation. We are ignorantly destroying the nation for our posterities. |
Romance › My Sunday Embarrassing Moments (by Offpoint) by Offpoint1(op): 2:57pm On Mar 17, 2019*. Modified: 9:46pm On Mar 17, 2019 |
So I'm currently in Lagos for almost a month now, came in for some stuffs. Being a God loving young man, I located my church domination the very first week I arrived. I've attended all weekly activities and Sunday services just like back home. I'm not a perfect human, but I don't play with God time, in fact it's been like 5 years I missed Sunday service last until today.
I woke up this morning with zero zeal and motivation to go to church, I can't explain why, I haven't experienced that for years.
So today I decided to stay back home for no reasons doing absolutely nothing, by 11:00 am Lagos heat was about suffocating me. There's nothing like NEPA light here, (I've not heard the beautiful Up NEPA national motto since I've been here) to put the fan on. when the heat was becoming on bearable, I was sweating like a rat in her menstrual circle. so, I left my room to take a nap under this huge tree in the compound, I don't know when I slept off all I know is I was still awake as of 11:35.
I felt a tap on my leg, accompanying with this angelic voice "Bro offpoint, Bro offpoint" (I'm switching to pidgin)
naso so I wake up, bamm na my church members 6 of dem 3 guys and 3 ladies... ah I check my phone time na 1:15.... I don sleep far like this? I woke up with hard on, my díck was highly erected, it was at it peak, it's prime time and felt like it has added 4 extra more inches. ah na yawa bi this o, whenever I woke up with hard on it could last for 30 minutes.
ah, na Jessy short I wear o, no clothes on, I left my clothes indoor before I go sleep there... My babayaro dey obvious, the guy stand gerigba like Mount Everest and galant like American soldier... I don die, how will I go in and get dem chair? worst thing is as dem wake me I don stand up on my feet already before I no sey my babayaro don stand up too.. e just dey point at my visitor gun... aaah, ground abeg open up and swallow me.
as one ask me Bro offpoint what happened, you weren't in the church today?
me dey battle how my stuff go go down, "sorry let me get you guys chair it's really hot inside" I don find excuse to japa... but the problem is how the hell will I walk with an erected dįck to my room? the tree is like 5 rooms to my mine and everybody don return back from church.
God I felt so embarrassed, I wished I could just die or the earth should just open wide and swallowed me.
naso I carry my tin waka till I reach my room, inside room the guy no gree drop down, I poor water nothing happens, jump up and down that wan come increase am the more... ah, 5 minutes bros no gree and people dey wait me under tree.... I no get choice again na black tape I come use wrap am to my lap, come carry jeans wear before I carry chair go give them.
I spent the whole day regretting why I didn't go to church, wetin dem go think sey I dey dream about. God! I felt so embarrassed throughout their stay.

Like I always said, Nigerian are their own problems until we realize that this nation will never move an inch of progress.
A potential individual [Nigerian] brought two options on the table, one of which is beneficial to Nigeria and other which is totally of no benefits to Nigeria and Nigerians... to my greatest surprise, all comments from Nigerians above and below is advising he leaves. They don't even know genius doctors will soon go extinct in Nigeria because they're leaving the shore almost everyday.
My question is How will Nigeria be great when Nigerians are advising all the already threatened brains to leave? Each time they leave the more useless and endanger Nigerian health sector becomes.
Sometimes is not what your country can do for you, it's what you can do for your country.
Your house is on fire, instead of us to seek for solutions on how to quench the fire, we ran to relax in our neighbors abode.
I know everyone deserves the best out of life, everyone wants the best out of life, but sometimes in life we have to make sacrifices which aren't convenient but are worth it.
Op, I know if you leave, your probabilities of coming back is zero to none. remember the lives you've saved so far with the little available resources to you. think of lives that will lost when you're not there to contribute... is it really worth it? If you have intentions of coming back, there's nothing wrong if you go for your masters outside the shore, but it'll be inhume if you don't return after witnessing what your people are going through.
like I always wrote on my facebook wall and whatsapp status... "If your ambition in life is to go to school, graduate, get a job, build a house, get a car, get a wife and bore kids... then you don't know your purpose of existence"
I know I'm offpoint, that's what everyone thinks of me... but I'm always on the right path, so please don't quote to insult me if your IQ is lower than my UBA account balance. if you care to know, it's N32.00 |

I'll do nothing, before a neighbor could raise his hand on her it means she might have washed him from head to toe with insults.
Before any man could raise his hand on a woman it showed they have reached their limits of tolerance. You not beating your wife doesn't mean you can't beat a woman, it's because you're yet to reach your limits.
I don't support domestic violence, but I'll never involve myself in physical or verbal combat because of any woman.
If situation like happened, I'd caution the 2 party involved. |

Truefaith: This is very good material. I pray it be used by God to bless someone.
Not only Christians, but every human being on earth.
Every man, woman or child MUST confront the issue of Who the Lord Jesus Christ was when He was here.
All false religions say He was not God.
The Jehovah's Witnesses say He was a created being, albeit the first created being; the Pentecostals and the Charismatics say He was an "anointed man", no different from any of their other "anointed ministers" walking the street. The New Age Cults such as Mormons, Christian Science, Religious Science, Eckankar, Islam and the occults say He was a "way-shower", a teacher, another guru.
He, in John 8:24 says ALL who do not believe He was God (The I AM of the Bible) is lost and would die in their sins.
Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever; the unchanging attribute only God can lay claim to.
Who do you think the Lord Jesus Christ was?
Your answer determines where you will spend eternity.
https://www.thetruechristianfaith.com/what-does-it-mean-to-be-born-again/ Please where in the Bible did Jesus ACTUALLY claimed he was God? can you guys stop misinterpreting the Bible please. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is Jesus Christ The Only Way To Heaven? by Offpoint1: 9:21am On Mar 17, 2019 |
OKDnigeria: I and the Father are one. ( John 10:30 ) He who has seen Me has seen the Father… ( John 14:9b)
Paul didn't make the above statements, Jesus did. Actually, Jesus claimed to be God, and that's why the Jews killed Him. "Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the Sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God". John 5:18 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/jhn.5.18.KJV
That said, what the article is trying to say is that Jesus is the only one who paid for sin. No other religious leader or prophet paid or even claimed to have paid for man's sin. Only Jesus Christ!
If you don't believe in Jesus or accept that He died for your sins, your sins remain with you and you will pay for them yourself. And the wages of sin is death, eternal separation from God, that is hell fire! You guys should stop misinterpreting the Bible abeg. There's no where in the Bible Jesus claimed to be God. The John 10:30 you quote there, ask God to open your eyes to understand that verse. |
