@ olofofo, thank you very much.
@ all, I but a card splitter today and its only working for hitv. Someone said I have to install a software for it to work on showtime or aljazeera.please am new to this card splitter thing. I need your help for my showtime card before my compound people will kill me.thanks
thanks once again olofofo
name of the card splitter is wireless smarktwi multi room solution
if you mean smartwi, then go to http://smartwi.net to download the modules for conax and irdeto, anytime u need to use it for either protocol, u need to reprogram. all the info you need is on that site. smartwi is one of the most well known wireless card splitter in the market, the only down side is that you need to reprogram it for different encryptions.

@George, Captainius/Salamander/Blakstar/Enitan

Will this receiver be useful for MULTI TV?
Am sure that it should be able to work with multiTV, since it's strictly for directv which is basically used in the US, you might have some issues, also, i think you missed something at the bottom of the page:

"We do not ship DIRECTV equipment outside the United States"

I hear from a reliable source that the new dstv package to go for =N=1500 will include our beloved ETV south Africa. so whoever is still wondering what happened to ETV can stop  wondering.

also about 5 units of multitv decoders are at alaba interational market. the guy says he will have more soon but is planning on selling at 16000 then, currently selling for 20k now.

@ FOFO, U can also get link to d server of INFTY sharing using FREQ-10930H-SR27500(ESPN) on nilesat.
like i mentioned earlier, by some phenomenon that is still unexplained, no AB4 signal is right now receivable in lagos, none of the 10XXX  and some of the 12xxx tps available of the Atlantic bird 4. what do you think is responsible for that.

all skysharing receivers are no-no for people in west, as the server TP 12341 is just out of our reach right now. even aljazeera +5-8 is not available on 4m dish is lagos because it is on AB4, except the TP on on nilesat 101 or 102 it wil be of no use to us in lagos.

can any one cofirm that badr is receivable in lagos on 2.4 to 3m dish especiilaly the TP 12341H.

Any one who get the idea of how to use Nokia N96 to watch old Roger for free should contact the house. I saw one Benin Republic man using it today. He said he got it from Cotonou. How i wish they re English speaking country like us cos we all should ve been sharing this forum just like our blackstar guys from Ghana. The phone has TV output and men it was serving as his reciver. He even watch Canalsat Horizon with it for free.
it might be because N96 has facility for receiving DVB-H broadcast and i know that old roger has a package where you watch them on mobile. does this guy you know watch the full package or just some channels, also what channels was he watching on canal+, we need more info on this.

I met constance for the first time on saturday and he was with me when pek called like 3 times. HE explained what the issues was( he manually joined a cable during the installation and the decoder is dispalying LNBF, maybe as a result of that) and i told him how to go about solving the problem. i do not for now know if there is a fake 4633x in the market, it very very unlikely, right now any issue with the new product strong will fix it for free. so pek, do not jump to conclusions and try as much as you can to try and be a bit patient.

hello members, greetings from fellow fta enthusiasts from the east african diaspora, we mainly link up from the east african forum, but was informed of this forum. i have been requested to get a sample of the coco card, adacabara card and the juju card for testing back in our region as we are unable to acquire then save for dubai. esp to george_d who indicates their availability, i am in lagos for a stint of work and would like to get some for my brothers back home to do some more testing upon. our major advantage is that we straddle the equator, thus we mainly using motorized dishes adjust the elevation and only infrequently the azimuth. our forum is http://forum.paytv.ro/showthread.php?t=36090&page=110. any help on this is greatly appreciated.
if you are truly in lagos give me a call, am sure i can be of help. 08033401080. I did not know that there was a specific thread dedicated to african viewers on that forum. thanks for pointing it out. am sure they can learn from us and vice versa.

@butoneday

WELDONE DOOO. holla when when you can for some cost saving info regarding our mutual interest.

@ll

a note of warning to all newbies regarding going off into the market to buy stuff for yourselves:

beware of fakes!
FAKE DISHES!
FAKE DECODERS!
FAKE LNBS
FAKE CABLES!

if you are buying any dish 1m or below, please make sure it's a strong or eurostar. anything outside of that, please forget it. if it's not poor finishing or the dishes, other problems include  very week bolts ad nuts and really terrible supports.

for 1.8m dishes and beyond, if it's not strong for pan, please stay off it. you can rely on eurostar and supermax for mesh dishes.
regarding decoders. a lot has already been said of fake strong decoders in the market. stick with srt4663x, iit's new and it has been duplicated yet.

lnb's for small dishes, strong will do, while for big dishes you can try fuji. i do no know of a fake fuji for now. cband lnbf, you can rely on supermax.

cables: try as much as possible to get the eurostar rg6 copper cable, a roll goes for 1500, unlike the regular cables that are sold for 900.

hope this write up has been of help to the noobs in the house.

Please, how possible and how can one connect two dishes to use the same decoder? I'll be getting a strong decoder which comes with a 90cm offset dish. I also have a 2m prime focus dish. I'll like to know how to connect the two and use with the decoder.

I may be asking too much, but even Oliver Twist had to ask for more. Please, some body fit xplain to me how dem dey patch d-codas? The d-coda I wan to buy b strong d-coda. My e-mail dey open @ lovala@yahoo.com
Thankx a plenty. grin
Lovala.
Get a diseq switch, it's only two hundred. once you have your satellites tracked you can go ahead and combine upto 4 dishes to one decoder.
the diseq has upto 4 ports or more. Regarding the other request, come back after you have nailed your first dibird.
