@ frizy, it might sound funny but does it not piss you off when people label you "oyibo" for doing the right thing. Black people sha. Even here in the US (thank God things are changing) it used to be and is still is to a small degree that if you dressed a certain way or spoke a certain way or wanted to do certain things that would only improve your life you were seen as "acting white". Then you are trying to simply dispose of trash and you are labelled oyibo. It makes you wonder if black people in general do not have this idea that white people are just expected to do well and excel while we as blacks should not be expected to do these basic things that a human being should know to do. It is even embarassing that a Nigerian will call you Oyibo for wanting to simply throw away trash responsibly.

He sounds like a nice guy but you have been warned. This is my take. I am not suprised at his parent's reaction. You are older and you ar enot Nigerian. They have already shown that they will do whatever it takes for their son not to marry you but the most important thing here though is your boyfriend's reaction. That is what you should base your decision on. He says they are "making" him take your things out of the house. He is not 12. He is a 25 year old man that cannot stand up to his mother and say "nothing is leaving the house". That tells you how important his mother's opinion is. More important than your relationship. His mother will always be there and she has a strong hold on him. I don't think it is worth it. If his mother was evil but he stood up and had a spine about it, I would be singing a different tune. He will be the kind of guy that even if you guys marry and his mother crosses the line over and over, he will never say "mum please chill out". He will expect you to take the abuse just like he allows her overstep when it comes to him. Do you really want to live like that.

LOL at Psychiatry. Wonders will never end in Nigeria. I mean what would the test have shown the highy educated police people that your medulla oblongata was not directly proportion to the fluid flowing in your frontal lobe. Just stupid. Nigeria we hail thee.
Politics › Re: LAWMA Officials Should Be Appreciated by Outstrip(f): 1:50am On Sep 06, 2008
They are trying, I have to say. They seemed to be everywhere when I was in Nigeria in may. They might need a submarine though to carry Lagos trash but I am sure that if they do not do what they are doing now, people in Lagos will be walking through dirt to get to their front yard
Politics › Re: >>>>> Exposing Fox News Hypocrites <<<<<< by Outstrip(f): 1:45am On Sep 06, 2008
Even when I have watched fox news, I feel physically ill. I am not even exaggerating. It makes me feel like throwing up. O' Reilly's face and attitude turns my stomach and do not get me started on Hannity. My CNN will be just paerfect if they can kick Glenn Beck off and send him to FOX with his brothers. Hypocrites.
Romance › Re: My Married Ex-Girlfriend Wants Me To Sleep With Her by Outstrip(f): 10:07pm On Sep 05, 2008
Spooky stories like this scare me but someone walking up to you and saying that cannot be a coincidence. Stay away from that woman. She is married. Nothing good can come out of having sex with another man's wife. NOTHING
Family › Re: A Marriage Lashed With Lies?! by Outstrip(f): 4:36pm On Sep 05, 2008
brownbobo the love you are asking her to try and connect with in the first place was a false one. It was based on lies. She certainly does not want to go back to that. I am not saying that things cannot be worked out but when you say infidelity, who was unfaithful? You or him?
Health › Re: Nigerians And Dirty Habits: Can We Ever Change? by Outstrip(f): 3:46pm On Sep 05, 2008
My mom grew up in Aba and she says that the gutters kept flowing as long as they were kept clean. It is not always because there is no where for the water to go. It is becasue people just do not do what they are supposed to do. There are still part sof enugu that are spotless because the gutters are regularly cleaned. I don't know about lagos though. Lagos is simply filthy to me.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Sarah Palin Is The Perfect Choice for McCain by Outstrip(f): 10:45pm On Sep 02, 2008
I am really dissapointed in McCain. How desperate were they? First they insult every woman in america by putting Palin on the ticket and now we find that they would have been better off getting someone from the Jerry Springer show as running mate. Breeze don blow for real.

I don't know what you mean by "is it spiritual?" You are already helping him make excuses. He is simply irresponsible. Don't you know how much he makes. Don't you guys have a budget? You should know where hi smoney is going. As a matter of fact when large sums of money dissapear into thing air it is not "willie willie" that is taking it. It is more that likely a sign of cheating. He might even have another family out there or a mistress. The money cannot just vanish. Spiritual my sexy black ass. keep making excuses for him.
Romance › Re: Men Can Really Be Dishearting: Imagine This: by Outstrip(f): 12:00am On Sep 02, 2008
I have family members that have females that live with them or have lived with them and their husbands have behaved themselves. I know 1 occassion were one of the girls was trying to get silly and my cousins husband discussed it with her and they both decided she had to go. So I don't know what excuse a husband has. There is no excuse. As far as the sister goes there is no punishment harsh enough. My heart goes out to her. I cannot reccomend that anybody has male or female living with them that is not close family.

Ifedisky please get real. She can no more bond with a hippopotamus. The man should be a goner. Even if she does end up back woth him, it will be with him not being in that house and he coming back and begging on his Hot knees until their child gets here. You are forgetting that he said that he is love with the sister. As far as I am concerned she does not have to do anything. The man should be the one doing and if he says he is not, then fine. She moves on with life. As for the sister, if they come from a proper nigerian family, I don't have to tell anybody what will happen to her.
Family › Re: Help! These Kids Are Driving Me Crazy by Outstrip(f): 5:03pm On Aug 30, 2008
My mom always said 'the child that says his mother will not rest will not rest either". LOL. I was fighting with my two year old this morning. My husband even had to come get him. He is very attached to me and when I say literally on top of me all day, everyday I mean just that. His body has to be touching mine. If I am cooking, he will be holding my skirt. I still carry him on my hip sometimes even though I have a 1 year old. My husband feels sorry for me sometimes. It is not always easy. He seems to need more attention than his brother and I am understanding for the most part and he gets jealous of the attention I give my husband sometimes. The only advice I can give is that you take it one day at a time.
Why don't you talk to your husband and one of these saturday's just take time off for yourself and go do whatever. Shopping, spa day etc. Just you. It helps.

There is nothing crude about it. Some people just have the mentality that they will pay when they want to. My mom paid this thief of a carpenter over 100,000 naira to make her kitchen cabinets. The man took the money and has not even come to the house to take measuremnts. I gues she though she was in Americ awhere you can take someone to small claims court if they do not deliver. Experience they say is the best teacher.
Romance › Re: Im In Love With My Step- Brother: What Should I Do? by Outstrip(f): 8:21pm On Aug 26, 2008
Why are people bringing the Bible into this. Abraham married his half sister and the poster' "sister" is not even by blood. If it disgusts you, that is fine but do not bring the Bible in to justify your hate. People like you have the same mind set as the KKK that used the Holy Bible to enslave and dehumanize black people. You should be ashamed of yourself bringing in the Bible to condemn something that the Bible does not condemn.

Culture › Re: British Born Nigerian Girl & The Nigerian Born Girl Is There A Differance? by Outstrip(f): 2:06am On Aug 26, 2008
I don't know why people are 'acting' like they do not understand what she is driving at. What is the difference really? A Nigerian born outside nigeria but raised in nigeria and then there are the one's born in nigeria but raised abroad and still some born and raised abroad that yes understand their mother tongue and the culture but do not really identify with other nigerians because face it alot of nigerians see them as americans or british or wherever they grew up. There are also people like me born in nigeria, raised in nigeria for the most part, do not speak my language but understand it. Who is to say who is more nigerian than who?
Bottom line, be happy with yourself and let those who want to lose sleep about what you should be labeled as lose sleep. We are all brothers and sisters

I am etsako so I don't know what your friend means. Is she a good girl? Is she a nice person? Are they compatible? Does he love her? I think making a decision solely on her ethnic group is silly to say the least. Has he met her family? Are they nice people? How do they treat their children? How do they treat their wives? Are the men chauvinistic and abusive? I think there are many more things he should be looking at.

My Aunty (my mom's freind) is from rivers state. Her mother had a female husband. It is their culture. There is no sex involved. Just another woman who could not have children of her own is basically seen as a man in their culture
Family › Re: Muslims Sentence Nigerian Polygamist To Death For Polygamy? by Outstrip(f): 2:46pm On Aug 22, 2008
First of all that man is not the father of all those children. Most of those women came to him already pregnant or even if they got pregnant afterwards it was more than likely not his child. I don't care what he is eating, a man that age cannot handle sex everyday and when you have 86 wives and want to keep them happy, you will pretty much wear your penis out to the "bone".
I think most of the women are taking advantage of him and the silly man is believing that he is just gifted in the department of knacking. They should do paternity tests on those children and then trust me thaey will stonning quite a few people to death
Romance › Re: Men Sometimes Needs To Be Taught A Lesson Or Two by Outstrip(f): 8:37pm On Aug 21, 2008
Palma I sure understand your anger. And I know it feels good to think of 'finishing" him. I admit it even makes me happy too. But hold up. He has hurt you and you want to spend more time out of your life to make him misreable. Have you not given him enough years of your life? You are still giving him control. He still has control. Honestly I would say show him pepper but I am pretty sure that you will be having more fun focusing that energy on yourself. Time will heal the rest.
