Romance › Re: I Need To Cheat On My Man by Outstrip(f): 3:03pm On Oct 28, 2008
Does he even consider you his girlfriend. At the rate you are going you will sleep with 50 men in one year. Then your posts will become "My fiance found out about my whorish past and now he wants to call of the wedding, nairaland abeg help me". You seem to have self esteem issues if you really want to turn yourself into a LovePeddler to keep a man. I don't understand your logic.
Food › Re: Eating Food You Hate In The Name Of Love by Outstrip(f): 12:26am On Oct 28, 2008
My husband's love has not reached that level. Hmm. He is so anti new food. One day I ordered frog legs o common frog legs and he almost had a heart attack because I was eating frog legs. He will not even eat nigerian foods that he did not grow up with. The only time he will experiment is maybe at a chinese bistro otherwise it is always steak and a salad.
Family › Re: Cry For Return Of My Son by Outstrip(f): 6:58pm On Oct 27, 2008
This is enough to drive a woman mad. I was apart from my child a week after he was born in the intensive care unit. I was only gone a week but I almost went crazy not holding my baby. God please help this woman. She is actively searching and not just sitting at home and "leaving it in God's hand". Reward her hardwork. She will find her child.
Family › Re: I Miss Home: by Outstrip(f): 6:54pm On Oct 27, 2008
If you love naija like I do work yourself to the bone and prepare your life for nigeria. That is our focus right now. We know we want to be in Nigeria and raise our kids there but we have to set ourselves up so we are working hard like mad people now to set things up in nigeria and also here in the states. From the day my parents forced me to come to the states my plan was to make nigeria my base eventually. Luckily my husband is on the same page. America is still home and I love it here too but my heart is in Nigeria. There is no place like home
Family › Re: Children Raised In Nigeria Are Better? by Outstrip(f): 6:50pm On Oct 27, 2008
My cousin's say otherwise. Though most of the kids they are around are priviledged pampered kids but they say that youngsters in nigeria are just out there. The fact is it does not mater where you were raised it matters more who is raising you.
Culture › Re: Evil Or Dirty Nigerian Cultures That Should Be Abolished by Outstrip(f): 6:43pm On Oct 27, 2008
pepperspray you know darn good and well that in nigeria autistic people or people living with mental retartdation or developmental disabilities are either killed aby their family members or hidden from the public. How many of them have you actually seen in Nigeria. My aunty has a son with cerebral palsy and he is a very bright kid. He is the only one that I can truly say I have seen treated well. I went to primary school with a kid with down's syndrome and I remember that whenever you go to the toilets in school, he would always be in there playing on the floor. He probably even ate the poop and nobody cared.

Family › Re: Ladies - What Kind Of Relationship Do You Have With Your Mom? by Outstrip(f): 4:09am On Oct 26, 2008
As a child I had a very unhealthy relationship with my mom. I remember fear, anger and even hate. I had to pray and actually search my heart to finally start learning to see the love my mother had for all of us. I still think she made alot of wrong choices in her attitude to us but now that I am older I worry about her the way a mother worries about a child. I still say one of the best gifts God gave me was sparing my mother's life. If she had died when I was a child I would only have memories of a wicked person that only wanted to hurt me and hated me. You will feel much better if you start trying to forgive your mom and I can sense that you are trying. I have a wonderful relationship with my mom now and now that she is back home in Nigeria I miss her dearly
Culture › Re: How Much Do Things Cost In Nigeria? by Outstrip(f): 7:14pm On Oct 24, 2008
Honestly I don't know how people survive in nigeria. I paid 4000 naira for diapers that I can buy for $11.99.

The new bond girl was born with six fingers and had it removed
Culture › Re: Having A Sixth Finger by Outstrip(f): 2:40am On Oct 24, 2008
I think they tie a string to it and cut it off when the baby is still a new born. Morenike just made me remember a girl I knew as a kid who told me the same story about a little mole she had close to her little finger. She said the exact same thing about an extra finger. Fummy she was also yoruba. I wonder is it has something to do with inbreeding.
Family › Re: Mothers, Trust Us Please! by Outstrip(f): 2:36am On Oct 24, 2008
Have you said this to your wife? She might not even know that she is doing it. I do it myself but I am aware of it now and apologise especially when I know the boys were extra hyper that day. I probably would never have known if my husband did not tell me. It can build resentment. If you have to talked to her about it do so.

Romance › Re: How Long Can U Leave Your Husband Alone At Home. by Outstrip(f): 8:55pm On Oct 23, 2008

Christianity Etc › Re: Should I Celebrate Christmas? by Outstrip(f): 7:28pm On Oct 22, 2008
I don't celebrate christmas the commercial way. We never did as a child. I will not have a christman tree in my house and my kids willnot get christmas gifts from me. I don't mind having a sign that says "JESUS IS THE REASON" or something like that or use the opportunity to tell my children the story of Christ's birth and why he was born. They will ask questions but they need to know that all the santa bullshit is just that bullshit

Romance › Re: Why Are Most Men Like Babies? (Tidiness) by Outstrip(f): 7:12pm On Oct 22, 2008
MY husband is not so bad but he does sometimes. I don't even complain anymore. When I feel like I pick up when I don't and he is looking for his wallet in the morning I ask him to go look in the pile of clothes he left on the floor.
Car Talk › Re: Lagos To Ban Illegal Car Dealers From Jan. 1, 2009 by Outstrip(f): 7:14pm On Oct 20, 2008
Nigeria for you. Easy solution even if it makes no sense. Why make life complicated for the avergae person that wants to upgrade their vehicles. If they are so worried about a vehicle being bought was stolen then they should set up a system where you can look up a VIN number or keep better records on the state level. People still have this mentality of "I DECREE!!!!!!" in NIgeria. There are many more other options but they know it will take more work to implement so they don;t want to go that route. They want to go the moomoo route as usual. I dependable system for registering motor vehicles has long been over due in that Nigeria.

Romance › Re: Pls Help A Confused Heart by Outstrip(f): 6:49pm On Oct 15, 2008
Not only has he said it to his friends, he has even said it to your face. What more do you want to hear. I know you love him but do you really want to love someone that does nto appreciate the love and sacrifice. Trust me, marriage is a sacrifice or compromise whichever one you want. You will hate your life if you are married to someone that cannot give you credit for anything
Romance › Re: Must We Beat Our Women by Outstrip(f): 2:09am On Oct 15, 2008
Thanks Savanaha for pointing out that he threatened her physically before she raised her voice. You can tell that he beats at least one woman a day. He was even feeling cool with himself. Ignorance they say is bliss
