So I was on Twitter this afternoon when I stumbled on this interesting topic where they where asking if the wife should collect money from her husband for eating in her restaurant.

Nairalanders my question is this if you wife owns a restaurant and you go there to eat are you to pay or if you are the husband that owns the restaurant would you collect money from your wife.

So, she felt bored since she moved in from her previous base. She got not friends around and was always home. Friends has a tasking job.
So, he asked me to call her sometimes when I am free. I call and we have healthy conversations for hours. I am very cautious of any emotional strings. I spell it out to her in clever ways during the conversations.

However, it is becoming addictive. She obliges to certain things only when I ask her to even after declining her husband's suggestions. My friend is so soft and can't seem to handle a tough and educated lady like her.
So, she compares me to him few times and wants him to be like me in terms of being conversational and humurous. Her man isn't willing to change.

So, I am distancing myself away from her because it is becoming an addiction for her to express herself freely with me and spend more time with me rather than my friend. I step in each time they quarrel.

Should I continue the healthy conversation spree or continue with my busy shedule excuses?

One of my colleague at work came begging for cash and I ask him. What happen to your ATM or salary and he reviewed that the wife is the one who sees alert and holds the card.. I was shocked.

I've seen a lot of people here claim Britain could invade us for our oil, since they no longer have access to Russian oil and others like Saudi arahus, Qatar etc have rejected to pump more. Now I know, those claims were made jokingly, but I was actually imagining a scenario like that. Could Britain actually be able to Conquer us if they're stupid enough to invade us?

So I'm currently in 300 level with a plan to leave the country immediately after my NYSC.
Since I'm studying a 4 year course in a private uni,I have about 3 years more in this country.

I wish to get a car with a budget of 3.5 to 3.8 million naira.
Due to the 3 years duration coupled with police harassing young car owners.

Is a car really worth buying now or I should jejely wait till I move??

Please I will try to be brief as possible as i can.
I work with a firm that sells construction equipment, and head the logistics and warehouse department. I have this junior colleague that has been with the company for 8years(long before i joined cos i have only been there for 2+ years), he is experienced and good at his job.
But yesterday i caught this guy trying to steal two pieces of 70ah batteries, it really broke my heart because he can not even sell this things for up to 100k. I have tried everything in my capacity to make sure those working under my dept enjoy every benefits that are due to them; from hazard allowance, overtime, and so on. I sign all this allowance without asking questions even when sometimes some of them are questionable. I was doing all this so that nobody has any reason to steal and they have small change to augment their salary.
Personally i hate theft and frown at it and they all know it cos i keep preaching against this at every meeting, and if i escalate this to the management at the HQ in Lagos, he might be sack without benefits after 8 long years and he is a family man.

Though I have scold him and told him he would hear from me by Monday morning, the truth is given the situation I don't know what to do with this guy.

I am really confuse cos i don't even know how long he has been doing this shit.

Dating pool is now a mess right now, a big mess. If you are already married, God has saved you. If you are in a serious relationship with someone who's goin to marry you, you are very luck lucky.

A lot of us are in relationships but single, you think you are dating someone but the person is not even dating you. I think we need to talk about how damaged alot of us are, how materialistic we have become, how sex obsessed most of us are, how selfish?

"I deserve the best" yes you are but while you deserve the best , is your partner getting the best as well?

Our generation is just too selfish.

You want your partner to accept you the way you are but you are a bag of negativity and emotional liability, you are unstable, you are selfish, you don't look inside, you never tell yourself the truth and you want your partner to accept you when you are not even ready to change.

But you want people to change for you but you're not willing to change for them in return. Isn't that selfishness?

No sincerity, No commitment, No honesty, No love, just expectations without reciprocation.

We keep blaming our partners for our mistakes..

There's no day we won't hear about divorce, domestic violence, bf killing gf, gf stabbing bf ,

How long will this continue?

My elder brother owns a boutique here in forestry Benin city, I manage the boutique business for him because he has other businesses to take care of.

Jaunary 15 this year, a guy came with a lady to my store to buy some clothes and shoe, they love what they saw, they spent over 70k that day at my store.

They even bought a Jean for someone who was at home, so I told them to feel free to return the Jean if it wasn't the person's size and I also promised to look for the person's size, I even gave them my number.

The lady called me that evening to informed me the Jean was okay, it was the person's actual size, she even said her both brothers love the clothes they bought. I politely told her to tell her brothers to also refer their friends to my shop. Infact that was when I knew they were brothers.

Ever since then, this lady has been calling to check up on me, she chat me up on Whatsapp everyday, I got to know she's from Akwa-ibom, she 37 yrs old (10 years way older than me), she's not married, she's a chef, she work in a culinary school where she teaches people how to cook intercontinental dishes. Those her brothers are based in Akwa-ibom.

Sometimes, she comes to my store whenever she close from work, she comes along with her intercontinental dishes she prepared, sometimes I find it difficult to eat it, I will jokely tell her that I'm used to Akpu.. We'll just laugh it off..

So yesterday night, When I came back from the shop I was tired, so she called me and I told her I was on bed, I had an hectic day I want to rest, then she was like who's the girl with me that I don't want to talk to her. She said a lot of things, she said I don't really care about her bla bla bla, she almost started crying.

I was just confused, I don't even know the right words to use to tell her to stop crying or acting up, whether I should use baby girl or my dear or aunty or babe stop crying.. I was just confused

Please how do I tell I'm not interested in the relationship without hurting her feelings? please note, she is a pretty lady, she speak fluently but she is way older than I am. And I'm also not in a relationship currently.

The earlier we women look before we leap especially when it comes to marriage, the better for us. Karl Marx once said that religion is the opium of the masses. Let me borrow Karl Marx quote and put it in my own way, thus it goes: Marriage is the opium of women.

It's so surprising that when a guy promise a girl marriage, you see once a sane girl loosing her sanity and become so stupid. She does thing as if she's being hypnotize hence you see them rush into marriage without caring to dig more about the guy before accepting his proposal few months you see them coming to complained bitterly, a great number of them endured so much, they can't speak out because of shame.

If I advise them, they say that I am bitter and jealous of them because I am yet to get married, like wtf. I would've been worried about marriage assuming there was a place God says that it's only those that marry that will make heaven, but inasmuch as God never said so, I am so save whether married or not.

Men also should be very careful with the type of women they walk down the aisle..If you get merged with Satan in form of a wife , you'll forever regret your action.

I just signed up on nairaland today so I can just pour out my mind.
I have been coming to this site for almost a year now because this is where I get latest and trending news.
I live with my brother who cares about me a lot but he has been too strict with me. I FEEL CAGED! Can you imagine I don't have a Facebook account, I can't use WhatsApp, I don't even have a bank account. If someone wants to send me money, I usually use our neighbor's son account.
He monitors my calls and contact list.
I only use e-mail because he said I will be using it for future registrations.
I envy my friends a lot. I'm in my mid-teens.
I am just fed up.

Did you copyright the content before posting it on Facebook? If yes, you will win the case. If no, the company did not commit any offense because the content is not legally protected. A lot of people do not know this. Even for music and artworks, non-patented work can be used or replicated without the inventor's permission. As a matter of fact, If the company copyrights the same content today, the court will order you to remove the content from your page. Whoever obtains the copyright first is the inventor.

Good morning guys, please I don't understand my girlfriend anymore she visited me on Sunday we spend enough time gist and watch movies before she left and no sex was attached because of her determination of not having sex for now and I respect her for that. Yesterday I visited her she ignored me outside for 5minutes before opening door and she didn't even hug me as usual. I know This will come of but am tired and frustrated, am not a weakling but my greatest mistake was to marry someone who is huge and bigger in size and strength than me. am a lanky dude edging towards my 40s, any small quarrels we had at home she use her strength to overpower me.. flogging me with my belt I used on my trousers and pressing me to the ground...I have tried several times to make her cry when the altercation leads to fight..but I can't she always overpowers me..all the people in the community nw is aware of it.
I might hit her once, she hit me twice.
Just a little words, she start cursing me out loud.

She even boast out loud to neighbors that she will wound me nothing I will do. I feel suicidal because of this, my families are ashamed of me, mediating in our affairs. The way she disrespect me in front of everyone is alarming.
I Know this will lead to several abuses here online, no worries but I really need help on how to curtain this situation.

We have 2 kids together, have thought about divorcing her several times, but the mental effects this has gotten on me is painful

I have a self contained Flat that's giving me 165k every year. But I want to sell the place to invest in business that will give me 120k to 150k every month, because I'm married now, responsiblites will spring up. and dont want to depend fully on 180k salary.

Could this be good or bad idea?
