I've been having this sudden increase in heart rate since morning and I don't seem to understand what's wrong.

So, this past month, I took a first time trip to Badagry to relax n explore and I lodged in a resort! During my tour around I met this newly wedded Ivorian couples from Abijan who came to Badagry for their honeymoon, the wife was soo friendly, beautiful and nice toh...so we all tour around together with some other wonderful tourists too!

A day to the last days of my tour, we all chill in a bar to gist and to bid them farewell and then I went back to arrange my stuffs against the next day travel...but the most annoying moment was when this newly wedded Ivorian guy ran after me to ask for my number and also started telling me how he has fallen in love with me(lol) and will want us to have a sexy relationship since he always visits Nigeria!

I blantly turned down his proposal and left, I was so angry and pissed that why will a man on his honeymoon be asking another lady out!... Then I understand that cheating n flirting are natural features of Men!!!

To my fellow women, it's okay to trust your hubby and boyfriends to some extent but just prepare for the unexpected from them, so your heartbreak will not be much!

I shouldn't have brought this here but the emotional bargage is too heavy for me to move on in. My marriage of 2 years is about to crumble.

I met my wife in Kaduna Southern part in 2017. Our relationship had been a long distance one as I base in Lagos while she also work in Kaduna, but we eventually married in 2020. The bone of contention is the issue of her ex. That point we are dating, I always caution her to cut communication with the guy, she will do it by deleting the number, but later I will find out they're still relating.

Last month, I purchased a new phone and I had to give her my own. So on the process of reinstalling Whatsapp on her phone, I retrieved all the backup Whatsapp messages 7 which left me devastated. The chat history with her ex really left me broken.

On multiple occasions after I paid her dowry, she met with the guy and they had sex. Multiple times pals! Even after marriage, when she is 5 months pregnant, the guy still had her with my baby inside her!

I am really broken pals, I confronted her on this, she started crying that she will cut communication with him. The guy even send some money to her account on difference time this year.

This is the height of emotional damage. I am just leaving each day just to find my leg financially. I am trying my best, but it is not enough.

Lastly, I called the so-called ex on phone to cut communication with her, the guy is in Kaduna I think while we are in Lagos. She also blocked him all avenues likewise. My decision now is that any time I discovered any form of communication between her and the guy, it is over with the marriage. I think she is not really in to me like that, which beg the question while she married me in first instance.

If am your brother, what advice would you recommend? I only choose to be lenient because the kids are just too small to have their parents separated early. If not, I would have sent her parking!.

Right now I am just not happy with life afterall.

The relevant statute for Southern Nigeria is the Criminal Code.

The Penal Code allows husbands to beat their wives as a form of correction in the same way that a father beats his children or a teacher disciplines a pupil.

Section 55(1)(d) of the Penal Code of Northern Nigeria provides that an assault by a man on a woman is not an offense if they are married, if native law or custom recognizes such “correction” as lawful and if there is no grievous hurt.

Good day great people of nairaland. I'll make this as short as possible and forgive my typo errors.
I've been working in this construction firm for the past five years together with taking care of my family and my girlfriend who has been in school but due to ASUU strike, now at home.
I'm usually busy and spend less time at home except on weekends - Sundays.
Recently, my girlfriend has been talking me into changing the nature of my work to another job that will afford me the opportunity to give more time to my family and her. I insisted that I'll need more time to be able to find another job but she will not have it that way.
Seems to spoke to my mother about it and it's now hell in the home with my mother threatening she will kill herself if I don't quit the job. This job is something I have used in completing my house and paying the fees of my girlfriend.
Lest I forget, I got the hint that my manager is considering me for a promotion and my quitting the job might just spell doom on me!

I'll appreciate all your suggestions, advice and criticism. I'm really in a fix!

Many times I'm filled with wondering thoughts while making up with her.

I've called her on serveral occasions if something was wrong, if she was going through any emotional stress or something I could help out with or change, response always negative.

For about a month it's been dry sex and it's making me feel as if I'm violating her, forcing her against her will.

I'm at the verge of taking the selibacy way, because that was my vow before I married her.
This sex thing is distracting me.

Your wife is not Sexually attracted to you,she only married you because of stability and as a retirement plan. If she's not having sex with you,then she's most probably having it with another,a guy she finds sexually attractive.
No amount of Pleading or therapy will get her to fall in love with you. Women and simps here will tell you to take her out and buy her gifts etc, so she can be appeased and allow you put in the tip,but how long will you be willing to keep that up?

Whenever I have issues with my husband, we settle and move on but later in future when we have an argument again he brings up the things I said back then to the picture I really do not know why he does this but most times I’m hurt and I feel this’s something I have begged him for forgiveness for and he tells me I have forgiven you..
Most times I do not even remember I said stuff because I feel we have moved on..
Note, anytime he says things that hurt or break me I do not even bring it up when we have any argument but he does this to me effortlessly.

*He also tells his mother all sort when we have an argument and this’s something I will never do to him.. I will never speak bad of him to my parent or my siblings when we have issues but anytime we have issues he finds it very easy to call his mother and his brother to tell them all sort..
He involves his friends also when we have issues but any time we have issues I do not tell my parent or even my siblings or even friends

There is this guy, we dated for 2 years before he traveled abroad (Italy) 2019. Our relationship was going on well even when he traveled out, we were always calling each other on video calls everyday. I was so faithful to him.

Suddenly (last year March), he started avoiding me. He could go for months before he replies my calls or chats.
Atleast no matter how busy you are, you can always spare 1 minutes of your time with the person you claim you love.

Please note, he's always online, We do video calls mostly on WhatsApp and anytime I try to reach him on video call or send him a message.... it always ring and deliver but he won't pick or reply.

Here are my reasons why I'm so confused whether to move on with my life or not.

1) Although before he started avoiding my calls, he told me he was busy... that he was working on something (but he never disclosed the particular "thing" to me)

2) We were supposed to get married as planned last year August. But this is May 2022 and absolutely nothing is in progress about it.

3)I discussed with his friend about it and he told me he's in a relationships over there. (I don't know if to believe him or not, because he didn't show me proof)

Now, it been a year I'm enduring his character. I feel like I'm stuck alone in this relationship. Heaven knows I haven't offended him in any way. I wish he could open up to me and tell me what I was doing wrong so that I could adjust. OR he should just tell me he's in a relationship so that I could move on.

I plan visiting his elder sister this weekend and explain to her the issue on ground but on a second thought I think I'm too forward. I'm jst confused and I feel hurt.

I Used a big Stone to kill this crocodile this morning at my work place. I thought that it was alligator or monitor lizard but on a closer examination we discovered that it is a baby crocodile.

That thing has double life oo! I hit it with more that five big stones before it finally died.
