Politics › Re: Another Scramble For Africa Is Presently Ongoing But Nigerians Are Busy Fighting by Patented: 1:20pm On Aug 18, 2023 |
standard!! we generally do not see beyond our noses. E get why we be as we be. naija1stnigar: Going back to history we all aware of how the Berlin conference of 1884/1885 birth what we know as the scramble for Africa. Different African tribes and nations were taken captive and reorganized by famous European powers and we're governed directly from those countries like Britain, France, Portugal etc. As times went by Nigerians were schooled in different parts of the world, and would later realize the importance of self governance. The exploits of great Nigerians like Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Anthony Enahoro and others later birth our independence from our colonial masters, many of which granted those independence with tears because they knew what they would loose. After they had all left, an uncommon and unconventional concept called"neo- colonialism continues to exist up till date, and that has brought the the rich continent of Africa to her kneels, as supposed leaders of different African States would always grant the interest of Western powers at the detriment of the citizens of such countries. Our resources has birth more successes to the west and in contrast more misfortune to Africans. This invisible but powerful concept has shown how myopic an average African can be. The case of Nigeria is peculiar here because, as a country with over 250 ethnic groups and speaks over 300 languages we have over the years embarked on hatred along our different ethnic lines and are always ready to fight one another to defend the interest of a few who called themselves leaders but are only there to sell the rest of us out. A lot of us are still locked up in that inter tribal hatred while another scramble for Africa is already on going. This time between mighty powers like Russia, China and north Korea against Western powers like the United States, the United kingdom, France and others. If we can see clearly, we will know how soldiers are beginning to overthrow civilian governments in different African countries like Burkina Faso, Mali, Equatorial Guinea and just recently Niger which is the closest to Nigeria. Without any doubt we can all see how the Russian president has publicly backed these countries up and we can also see how the west is making inroads to this issue using puppet Ecowas headed by Bola Tinubu who heads the committee of west African leaders with slave mentality. Without any doubt it is quite possible that a proxy war might begin in no distant time, which is likely be fought by to puppet Ecowas and other Russian controlled slave states in Africa. But Nigerians have gone quiet on this issue, with our education, we see no reason to speak out when even if the war starts those foreign nations have nothing to loose, but we will rather have many things to loose, ranging from economy to security to infrastructure even to the lives of our loved ones, but we have rather chosen to remain indolent and rather find pleasure in attacking ourselves along ethnic and religious lines. In view of this, the following are the few questions to ask from sound minds: 1. Why has Africa always been victim to the west? 2. even with our education this time when another scramble for Africa is presently ongoing, what can we do to revive Africa from foreign dominance? 3.Shall we continue in our inter tribal/ inter religious hatred and achieve anything? 4. To drive back these foreign forces who are hell bent on destroying the future of our coming generations requires that Africans unite, is this unity possible when the Average Yoruba hates the Average Igbo because of Tinubu vs Peter obi matter? 5. What should we do to make sure that Nigeria does not become a victim of this scramble that has gotten to our neighbors Niger and what role should the Nigerian youths play this time to prevent that from happening. Thanks, I will be expecting reasonable comments. |

find your own and run with it. physical attributes do not and cannot determine how a marriage will turn out. Discountenance all the good qualities of your woman, then look at the bad/annoying attributes square in the face and ask yourself whether you can live with that. If yes proceed, if in doubt press pause, if NO, run!! Quality20: Hello nairalanders, esp those men with family men, I mean those who have vast experience as married men. I recently met a lady that I wish to marry as a wife, but when I told an elder who knows about how gentle I am and how don't go about following women, he simply said I should look for another that short women do suffer men far more than the average or tall ones. I was kind of dumb stocked cos I found it to believe . However , I do know that short women can be troublesome but that his claim that short women suffer men more seems unbelievable to me |

abstinence is good. Crystalom35: It's not a lie. Everything grows and sometimes a man just have to do what he needs to do.
I have been with this wonderful girl for a while now.
The relationship has been very good and peaceful. I couldn't ask for more.
But recently things have not been the same and I've been rethinking a lot of my decision and one of those is sex.
Sex life is good but lately I'm becoming afraid.
First off, I won't want to abort her pregnancy if it shows up. But then again, I won't be able to maintain her and the baby if she were to give birth.
I don't have much more as I'm still in school and she's still in school.
So, we are both living off our parents.
And it would be disastrous if pregnancy should come in especially these trying times.
So I'm considering hanging the boots and keeping away from sex from now on.
I just am afraid she'll cheat on me in the long run but then again, my fear of "irresponsibility" of not being able to take care of the pregnancy if it ever happens is worse.
So, now this relationship needs a new direction. Maybe I'm wrong. I just don't know. |

Oga FOCUS!!!! the flow of your story get as e be but ......FOCUS!!!! on what is before you and not what is behind you. if she had not wept and done all that drama u may not feel like this. whatever you do sha FOCUS!!!!!! on what is ahead. let the past stay past scoobyblogspot: My ex was having some issues with me cause of my addiction to alcohol and a lot of times I misbehave then, although I have changed now that I am married.
Well, she asked us to take a break from the relationship which I refused and she said she has made up her mind already, I pleaded but she refused so i respected her decision but I kept calling her and chatting with her so we don’t go far from each other. The feeling was fading as contact wasn't regular anymore.
Let me caught the long story short
I found someone else, now my wife and she is so understanding and caring towards me, when she got to know this, she hated me and called me all sort of names and wept via chat that is it because she asked for a break just to test me that I broke her heart and she also didnt give me S**?. Don’t judge me yet, I found some missed calls from a guy who kept calling her by 12am on video call at night and sent her gifts upon gift, even took her out secretly. I missed her anyways and I know she misses me too, we have both moved on but I can’t stop thinking about her months after our break up. |

dlawsamesq: So I am very confused right now because of all this red flag I am seeing.
I lost my wife early last year when she was birthing my third child and only son, I have had my family taking care of the boy since then and now there is need to move on.
There is this lady I am currently seeing, we are both serious with the relationship, infact I have met her family to disclose my intentions and we are planning to get married this December.
Now, this is the issue, this lady is very stingy to herself. She is an entrepreneur, she runs her own business and is doing averagely well, she can afford to cater for need without anyone's support. She has been complaining of body pains and body weakness for almost 2 months but she refused to take herself to the hospital and when I complaint she told me that I should give her money, I am not trying to say it is bad if I give her money to do that but she is quite aware that things are not very rosy for me now.
I am really confused now because I don't plan to wife a liability, I think I will opt out of this relationship. hope you have warned her that if she messes with the kids you would kick her out ASAP. now back to your dilemma.....e get as e be, if she does not see the need to take care of her health..........another person's health nko? |

shebi na preach dem dey preach, nothing dey there . listen and move on or dont listen........abi the preaching dey touch u.................. DamianDd: I've recently been taking care of my hair as a man I've been looking towards self-improvement and of course improvement begins with my looks.
My own my hair is the shorts strong Nigerian dry hair so even if it's long it will still appear very short which is what I fixed by treating my hair recently and washing it, right after I washed it that evening I weaved it for it to dry and while I was outside that's when my neighbors wife came, she called me and started preaching about heavenly race and I've sinned for this hair I did and what will people think of dad by me carrying this. All I did was simply assure her that I don't do dreads or weaving and I just did it so the hair and my scalp could get space to dry.
Now the hair is back to normal and it's better because it just looks like afro now very many like it supposed to be, it's doesn't look like a girls hair it just looks like a guy that's been training hair for a long time so it's okay like afro.
Tonight she saw me while she was standing with her friend and they both start telling me about heavenly race and what people will talk about my hair, how I should not allow it to shift me from my destiny.... man's just stood there wondering what has brainwashed this women and how their husbands and children survive this everyday.
How do you presume I go about this because I don't intend on being rude to my elders and my neighbors wife as at that? |

document your grievances to the manager as they arise. do not document emotions document facts and occurences that are contrary to rules and the norm. this documentation will speak later. document via whatsapp and email. Onpoint1010: I worked with two guys and 3 girls as their security chief in a fast food restaurant as contract staffs. The guys were something else but I managed them although we had back and forth arguments because they were trying to disobey my directives.
As time went by, the then manager told me about a vacant position, "Store Manager" and helped me to apply. Unfortunately, he was transferred before I was fully employed so, he handed me over to the new manager and assistant manager.
I was employed and was happy. Those two boys then began to conspired against me, they are psychologically smart and to an extend fearless and manipulative, I like them for that.
Just of recent, they began working against me with the manager, they stopped helping me to offload goods to the store and so, I decided to stop them from entering the store to charge their phones. But they boldly told me that I can't stop them and if I do, they will beat me. They have muscle more than I do. I knew they can beat me but I decided that I won't back down.
Yesterday, I stopped the now security chief from entering the store but the manager told me to allow them. This is the same manager that supported me initially to stop anyone I want from entering the store house and to lock it each time I want to go out.
Right now, I don't know what to do, I feel like the manager is trying to make me powerless in the office.
I want to know, does the manager have the right to ask the guards to keep entering the store room or I should continue to resist them?
Any store man or woman who has had similar experience, how did you overcome it. |

deeptesting: It is no longer news to hear about couples going their separate ways today, immediately after separation or divorce most father`s cut off all ties with their ex including the children, it really beats my imagination why most men also divorce their children.
Most men quickly move into another relationship abandoning the children for the woman, they don`t call, visit or even write letters to the children. We have witnessed few cases here on Nairaland where the children now grown ups put up pictures of their fathers taken 30yrs ago in search of the man who gave birth to them..
Real men don't divorce their kids too. Because a lot of women weaponise the children . |

I absolutely agree with you. just that Niger on its own has no airforce worthy of note to challenge Nigeria. We should not do anything militarily except to reinforce our border. If Ecowas chooses to intervene other members should provide troops we can provide a staging area. maestroferddi: There is a theory that France is in the mix...
Nigeria cannot do a military campaign as at now...

Besides, Niger is a very vast country in terms of land area so a ground-based invasion will prove catastrophic...

cybertruss: It's very funny that buharization of court order continues in Tinubu's rule. What sort of country are we in. Since the executive arm of government has made the court powerless, the court should be shut down. Judges and lawyers should look for another job. Let us not waste our money paying staff of a powerless courts that cannot tackle the executive arm of government. I don't know if this man is guilty or not but disregard to court order is not good.
A time is coming when a valid armed robber that is found guilty by the court will pour his spit on the judge and walk away and nothing will happen.
Fellow Nigeria, is that the type of nation you want to build for your children. When a court grants bail, it does not amount to immediate release. The accused must first fulfil the conditions of bail then he would be released. This typically takes a few days. So the accused is taken back into custody pending the fulfilment of the bail conditions. If he fulfils the conditions of the bail and he is not released, then you can premise your statement on those facts |
