Jaunary 15 this year, a guy came with a lady to my store to buy some clothes and shoe, they love what they saw, they spent over 70k that day at my store.
They even bought a Jean for someone who was at home, so I told them to feel free to return the Jean if it wasn't the person's size and I also promised to look for the person's size, I even gave them my number.
The lady called me that evening to informed me the Jean was okay, it was the person's actual size, she even said her both brothers love the clothes they bought. I politely told her to tell her brothers to also refer their friends to my shop. Infact that was when I knew they were brothers.
Ever since then, this lady has been calling to check up on me, she chat me up on Whatsapp everyday, I got to know she's from Akwa-ibom, she 37 yrs old (10 years way older than me), she's not married, she's a chef, she work in a culinary school where she teaches people how to cook intercontinental dishes. Those her brothers are based in Akwa-ibom.
Sometimes, she comes to my store whenever she close from work, she comes along with her intercontinental dishes she prepared, sometimes I find it difficult to eat it, I will jokely tell her that I'm used to Akpu.. We'll just laugh it off..
So yesterday night, When I came back from the shop I was tired, so she called me and I told her I was on bed, I had an hectic day I want to rest, then she was like who's the girl with me that I don't want to talk to her. She said a lot of things, she said I don't really care about her bla bla bla, she almost started crying.
I was just confused, I don't even know the right words to use to tell her to stop crying or acting up, whether I should use baby girl or my dear or aunty or babe stop crying.. I was just confused

It's so surprising that when a guy promise a girl marriage, you see once a sane girl loosing her sanity and become so stupid. I live with my brother who cares about me a lot but he has been too strict with me. I FEEL CAGED! Can you imagine I don't have a Facebook account, I can't use WhatsApp, I don't even have a bank account. If someone wants to send me money, I usually use our neighbor's son account. He monitors my calls and contact list. I only use e-mail because he said I will be using it for future registrations. I envy my friends a lot. I'm in my mid-teens. I am just fed up.

in a nutshell however, if I post a video, u use the same video. Without my permission that is infringement of copyright. Copyright need not be registered. If I have a brand on the other hand and I register it and u copy it for your own similar product. That's infringement. If I did not register the brand then I can sue you for passing off but not infringment.

immortalcrown: Did you copyright the content before posting it on Facebook? If yes, you will win the case. If no, the company did not commit any offense because the content is not legally protected. A lot of people do not know this. Even for music and artworks, non-patented work can be used or replicated without the inventor's permission. As a matter of fact, If the company copyrights the same content today, the court will order you to remove the content from your page. Whoever obtains the copyright first is the inventor.
This is not correct. the copyright act explains how your copyright arises. unlike trade marks, patents and design a copyright does not need registration. As soon as u put your idea in a permanent form your copyright is automatic. so registration is not necessary. This applies in Nigeria and other countries. even for the other classes of IP that require can be registered non-registration is not an automatic bar to enforcement of your rights. The difference is that while registration allows you to sue for infringement, non-registration means you can only sue for passing off. In passing off the standard of proof is a bit harder but its not impossible.
YOu have already Hired a Lawyer. He/She should be the one advising you. if you are not satisfied HIre another.
However if the company does not respond your option is to sue them.

For over two years now, every day, I have been posting English lessons on my Facebook page. Straight to the point. As I was going through a monthly magazine by a big company in Nigeria, I saw one of the dramatic grammar posts I made published in the magazine without acknowledging me.
After some consultations, I hired a lawyer who wrote the company demanding compensation. One month has gone since the company was served, not a syllable from the company or its representative. What step should I take to have them pay for this intellectual theft?
Those who know how this works should please kindly advise me. I do not want to reveal the identity of the company for reasons we all know. Lalastica and other moderators should please give this post a front page advantage

As in, they may interact with females and do not think of sleeping with her.
Even if the lady is very beautiful and wants sex with the man, he can easily refuse or delay it. And the surprising thing is that they have more opportunities to sleep with women,
unlike the males in their twenties and early thirties who are always looking for sex which they won't even find. Such an irony!

My car recently started vibrating when it is not in motion, I asked my mechanic the cause. He initially said it was the exhaust touching a part of the car, after he had inspected it and discover it wasn't the exhaust. He changed the cold start and still it is vibrating.
