Lovely.... ![]() I'm on my way to work. That is how economies are sustained.... work.... not lazing around and seeking free meals.... 2015 to 2023 will surely go down in history... |
Bluntemperor:But when we say restructure, you folks say no. That you like Nigeria the way it is,... so.... ![]() |
CaptainFM1:Took a detour past there this evening, about an hour ago. The fire is out completely, the place was sealed and two fire trucks were on the premises. The building is totalled, completely destroyed, nothing salvageable. |
Appears the melee and rowdiness of the so called Lagos beaches has spread east. What a mess. |
Any list without Pepe is fake. Premiership clubs are being scammed left, right and centre. Grealish for 100 million....? |
Maobichek:Reports say there were people in the store when the fire broke and that it started at a Christmas tree near the cosmetics section. That those around did not call immediately for help as they thought they could handle it. Unfortunately they couldn't and the place went up in minutes. The fire truck conspicuously stationed outside was not manned. |
It is by product of the illegal processing of crude oil in the creeks which has assumed garguantan proportions over the recent years. The end of the rainy season and absence of humidity has cast it front and centre of the news lately. The only way to end this is through societal awareness and the willingness of the Federal Government to give some sort of recognition to these activities so they can be regulated and with regulation comes standards towards a better environment. One of the reasons why agitation from the creeks appears contained is because the 'boys' are busy elsewhere so stopping it by coercion will only open another set of challenges to our fragile and tottering economy. |
shakyum:Lukaku alone CANNOT break the stranglehold of City or make for another Champions League. I repeat, there are far too many ordinary players in that forward line or to suit your palette, there are far too many underperforming players there. To win the EPL you either play like City or Liverpool and right now Liverpool is the closest Chelsea can match but do you have the kind of forward trio Pool has .... be honest. |
helinues:Exactly what I am saying. Because the likes of Pulisic and Mount are not creating or taking chances. |
Chelsea has obviously stalled, become glaringly predictable and so will not mount a challenge for any silverware except something radical is pushed through this January. There are far too many ordinary players especially in the forward line. No match winners at all. They will completely wear out an already dangerously overworked and fatigued Kante. |
Wow. What a loss. This is where we shop. This is where Abuja shops. This is the most valuable supermarket around and its loss will hit residents hard. |
He is a good choice in the circumstance. For those who criticise based on his support for the agitation, isn't it better to have someone who can straddle both interests than one who is polarised at this period of serious national fragmentation. Isn't it better to have someone to negotiate with, who is familiar with Nigeria and presently interacts with views and positions of other Nigerians. Why are your thought processes always towards deeper divisions, further alienation and worsening conflicts, yet you claim to love this country. Why must it always be 'either for us, totally subservient or nothing'. If you must have unity you must GIVE SOMETHING. And letting the people of that region choose the leaders they find comfortable with is only wisdom. I have not seen what the 'establishment' figures smuggled into offices across the East have done or succeeded in doing to ease tensions and make the people of that region more comfortable with Nigeria. |
BlackSpanner:When you know what a vaccine is then you will readily see its importance. Reading is important. |
An icon has gone to rest. |
nesgeeek:It is better to discuss sensibilities. Marriage is a RELATIONSHIP. A deep one for that matter involving emotions, love and trust. It is a journey to unite behaviour so communication towards solidarity is important. You must get to understand yourselves in ALL THINGS so it is dangerous to gloss over and sweep under issues that can pressurize the marriage. The most successful couples are not those that cover things up but those who have quick and efficient conflict resolution mechanisms going on in their homes constantly. |
SayAsSeen:The only two points of benefit (and I say this with serious doubt) I may give her is the culture of serving visitors first and possibly the fact that the fellow maybe older than you. But in all common sense it appears she has not 'left father and mother' and is 'clinging' to you. This is more likely the case and it is prevalent in most cases of this kind. Once again in my experience it is an indication of inadequate or absent courtship where sensibilities are settled. My advice is: mention it in passing and seek to correct that error of judgement kindly as there may be no malice intended. As a first time action assume it was done out of ignorance. I fully understand your feelings. |
Simple. Elections have serious consequences. The citizens of other nations are diligent enough to ensure only those committed and capable of sustaining and promoting their welfare and quality of life are empowered to lead them and when they fall short are instantly punished with disempowerment. The day Nigerians wake up to realise the relationship between their actions and their experiences then they will commit as much diligence to selecting and electing their leaders as they do any important relationship in life or any important decisions they take. The cycle is almost complete and another opportunity beckons. How well are Nigerians preparing to make the right choice in 2023.... It will determine the quality of the 'Christmases' up until 2027 at the very least because once we put them there we are just not competent enough as a people to direct them aright. |
It is a recipe for disaster, period. Wonder why you asked when the outcome in your reference is clear. |
Angelfrost:Even the fruits you will have to give up with age as your metabolism slows down. They contain sugar as well, just not the poor quality type and not in any such quantities as in sodas. |
Depends on your output. But if you are not doing a damn physically demanding job, that excess sugar (and these drinks contain a LOT of sugar) will build up in your system and boy, with age, it will be excruciatingly hard to get rid of it.... the consequential fat build up. |
Wish to know on what side of the endSARS movement he/they, the victims were. Then I can make a concise response. Because we said it then and repeated it several times over. That is was a great opportunity but sorely missed to move our nation forward via the instrument of a proper law enforcement culture. That a half dose of reforms was akin to taking an incomplete dose of anti-bacterial, anti viral drug therapies. The consequence being a hardening of the disease of police malpractice. Here we are. |
So what. Great insight for neutrals who have nothing to hide. |
tutudesz:Or clone the keys (depending on the model) or study the security system. It is like doing a POS transaction inattentively these days.... |
Jakumo:He has a 55inch dstv system but prefers to watch soccer at the local pub. He has a impressively stocked arctic level bar but prefers warm drinks outside. He has a gourmet chef and a store filled with his delights but can only find appetite.... you know where. Of course he can wash his car at home.... but if you understand the culture of the barbershop and the vendor stand you will appreciate the Nigerian carwash made popular in Edo and Delta states. You will want to take your private jet there. |
But why drop the key if you do not expect the vehicle to be driven afterall it is a wash not a service. If one is not expecting 'home delivery' then take your keys along and await their call when they are done. Simple, common sense. |
Blame the failed endSARS protest/movement that has failed to reform how the police and other law enforcement services operate. The legacy of the civil war which ended in 1971 is the notorious 'checkpoint' that has proved totally ineffectual in combating crime yet has remained a security staple costing citizens millions in extortion rackets and countless lives. Yet the citizens have not found it worthy to demand for 'another' way to enforce the law and secure the country from crime. It is a testament to the lack of progress in our nationhood that we still grapple with a security system that is only deployed in war torn countries. What is it about the 'checkpoint' that makes it imperative. Is there no other way to secure Nigeria.? |
This is one trip he had to make and I am happy that he did. Very commendable, |
In saner climes their vote is their 'human head' to 'make life better' but here they love their oppressors and kill their innocents. What a convoluted, twisted, hopeless, despicably degraded society we live in. |
DarkJeddi:I am talking about Afcon but specifically about Osimen and Napoli. Even yoiu must admit that Osimen has hardly played for this team since he signed. I don't think he has played a dozen consecutive matches for Naopli without issues. That is neither good for him nor his club. And as a businessman if you have such a highly prized, highly paid staff on you books you will be frustrated by what is happening. I can unjderstand their position and concerns about Osimen - Africa and Covid. What if.... just what if the boy comes here, plays and is injured or contracts the virus yet again... |
phemmyfour:Not only pitches, logistics and poor infrastructure. Satellite transmission is also very difficult in tropical weather. For most northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere countries summer (May - September at its broadest) offers the most stable and predictable weather conditions so big budget sporting events take place during this period but for most of Africa, Mid East and Central/Southern Asia the best weather occurs November to March (at its broadest). |
kristonium:Oga, use your head. The boy lost weeks last season due to Covid infection on a visit to Nigeria. The Club lost hundreds of thousands in paid wages. When players go down out of active service that amounts to a huge loss for their clubs which are run commercially. They have real concerns. FIFA/UEFA and the Italian FA will not allow infected players on the field. Unlike here they take issues of health seriously because they can be liable if the rules are broken and the situation goes south. |
Oritna94:....Musical chairs.... same ol, same ol. Union Bank is caught out when the music stopped abruptly while other players took refuge. Look at the names of the Nigerian front officers.... same Captains, different ship to be sunk.... |
