Afamcy:This can be the only logical explanation and a very tragic one at that. So sorry for the family. |
tiredoflife:I will say a big amen to that. To kill a partner of 50 years cannot be ordinary. |
INEC's credibility is next to nothing after the recent general elections. No one will take anything from there seriously until it is gutted from top to toe. and rid of the buccaneers running its affairs. |
For a 75 year old mother those boys will be in their forties at the very least. At that age you'd expect some level of wisdom and decency. |
Hmmm. Both talented comedians need a name change or a stage name. I offer on the one hand, Abike 'Dabaru' and her supporting cast, Isa 'Pantomime'.... whatever, we are enjoying the drama. Much needed distraction from the Covid 'pandemania'. |
He has not lost anything. As a matter of fact his stock has risen and will definitely be selling a few more shirts at Shanghai and opening several more doors in the EPL for instance, should his agent happen to come across the number of a certain Pochettino and oily Toon rebuild. Very few people get to live their dreams and get paid 'minimum wage' for what they love doing. By the way what are these high earning sportsmen doing to contribute to the Covid effort back home as their foreign and African counterparts are doing. |
Mere propaganda. Hot air. Without looking at the structure of Nigeria this cannot work. The lion will never vote for the liberty of the goat. Just restructure Nigeria along the lines of enterprise and watch how folks will leave voluntarily as government work becomes insecure and unattractive. It is the structural changes in telecomunicaton technology that finally crushed NITEL and NIPOST, two monumental waste pipes. Whoever was working there has either upped his game to swim in the choppy waters of the private sector or has simply retired to his village. Every sector has the potential for real and sweeping reforms to make them super efficient and value for taxpayer resources. It is only a matter of deep thlught and strong political will. |
tiredoflife:But what will make a man supposedly over 70 years old unable to simply walk away. What does a man at that age have to provoked about to the point of murder. What did he see that he hasn't for 50 years of marraige and over 70 years of age. There is no explanation or excuse for this. |
Righteousness89:This is just mind boggling and a complete tragedy. Was the man on narcotics or posessed by a demon or what. Grand father murderer. What kind of prison will you send him, someone who is on his last lap in life. |
Wife of 50 years . Haba. This is tragic. What kind of human being is that. You just kill someone you have been intimate with for half a century when you should be teaching your grand children how to make successful married homes. What kind of evil is this. |
blinking001:iif he is not ready to fundamentally change the country by restructuring but insists on doing the same thing as has we have for 50 years then he is part of the problem. If you were employed to run a moribund company, in addition to looking at the staff who had run it aground you will also carefully look at the operating environment that made such possible and seek to reorganise things to avoid putting new wine in old wine skin. Running a hapless country continually in the same manner while complaining about recurrent failure is not foolishness. It is madness. |
To those kids...kai. This is horrible. Just terrible. Children hold s special place with God bdcauseyheir souks are not scarred with evil. Anyone that brings evil to them stands condemned before God and man. Fathers are expected to love their daughters and be their primary protectors. Not this beast. |
Lovely. I like to see infrastructure development and get really thrilled by factories especially those semi automated mass employment ones. Agri-processing industries are where our competituve edge lies. Government should enact a policy towards gradually ending the export of raw materials and raw agri-products. We get better value when we process, create jobs and transfer technology when we convert primary to secondary products. But I appeal to Nigerians. When you gain employment and begin to prosper, use the spare capacity to educate and further advance yourselves rather than the primordial instincts of procreation and poverty multiplication. |
What I keep on saying. When a government is run by and for personal interests.... |
That is how we roll in Nigeria. That is why this country is like this. Nothing is ever straightforward here. Foreigners have come to know us as a crooked people. Once again we find have unanimity in values, standards, laws and justice impossible to handle. From politics, to economics, to social structures, in everything we do, we place expediency above reliability and dependability. How do you make progress this way as a people. If a man ran his family this way having differing rules and standards for his children, if a manager ran his company with discordant objectives for his staff, how do they expect success. This lack of a proper structure in doing things borne out of a lack of vision is not just an APC malaise but a problem with the black race as a whole. The inability to organise things properly has put ussat the bottom of the league of nations fir generations. |
Let us see how long it will take the EFCC to react to this to prove whether they are apolitical or not. The man is non executive and has no immunity so they are free to dig to discover. Their credibility is on the line. When matters blow up in the media and public space they are obliged to react if indeed they serve the public. |
Obviously taken his 'Nigerianess' there. The typical nepotistic, rent seeking, entitlement mentality. Contracts, contracts, contracts. Development by 'Julius Bergerism'....we never fail to disappoint. |
....Any comedy to distract from Covid 'pandemania' is welcome. Abike had better get an 'Adjudjcator' or better still go meet the one who sits above the table. |
Why is it that for everything Nigeria the presentation of money comes first. Why is the focus always monetary. Why are we so money conscious, poverty minded people in this country. Just let us see what you feed them and let us decide its suitability and what value to place on it. They will hide the product and be showing the invoice.... highly suspicious. |
Sysdatek:This is why nothing works in Nigeria. Those who were vocal on the Rivers Cash Jamboree are silent here. Those who will scream their heads off here were AWOL on that thread. This lack of unanimity in perspective, in values and in judgement is the bane of this country, the cracks through which the corrupt and the vile fall through. The day all Nigerians can agree that white is white and black is black will be the day all these end. Nigeria's problem is not the much publicised corruption but the structure of the country that cannot identify what corruption is. |
Incredible. Beyond belief. How do you withdraw 118 billion in cash. Do banks actually store that amount of money and if so why. And why should banks be allowed to dispense such humongous amounts especially in this regime of hightened insecurity. All tbose involved including the bankers should be arrested and prosecuted. No one handling such amounts can be up to any good. They are all criminals evading the electronic trail. The people of Rivers should wake up and start asking their government some serious questions. Their future is being stolen right before their eyes. Wike should start preparing himself for prosecution once his immunity is over. |
sexylassie2:The Origins may not be the Definition of things especially when they evolve very fast. If one is not writing a thesis I think things of religion and spirituality being personal will have varied definitions. For me Christianity is what you fill out on a form or what you put in a resume. I define my belief system by Faith and the music thereof will be called Praise music. |
Henreez:Good morning too. |
2gbasky22:Good morning. Nothing left to say about Covid 19. Been speaking since January. |
Arresting people for doing nothing as compared to what they did just a few years ago. |
martineverest:Those things have zero effect on viruses and may mask symptoms rather than treat them. |
starstunna1313:Those are classic symptoms of Covid 19. Get a test quick and isolate to avoid killing yourself and anyone else. |
Well the Governor did warn that the oil industry was without supervision and he has been criticised. It is obvious Covid 19 and Bonny bejng an iskand it is absolutely sure this virus was imported by foreign oil workers. The town of Bonny is now in danger. You will now see those who were so vociferous in tneir criticism now silent or desperately to bend the narrative. The givernor shoukd just cut off that town from the rest if Rivers State and hand it over to the NCDC. I am sure there will be an outbreak in the oil and gas industry there which will be desperately concealed. |
ibietela2:Well there are many ways to skin a cat. Now that the Feds have fired the first shots I expect the States to reply with a press for more autonomy from the Federal government starting with what troubles them most. I expect the so called Exclusive List to come under attack. What is good for tne goose must also be good for the gander. |
Why won't they kick. They all want to be emperors, little tin gods in their fiefdoms with zero accountability. Good one. |
Good start. For whatever it is worth. But they have to catch up with what our local boys can muster. Government should have the biggest dog in the fight. |
