TRADELYN:Good morning Nigerians. |
Those twits are too slow to simply understand that: It is bad manners to talk while eating.... They should wait till dinner is over, the table cleared and the dishes washed. Then they will talk over a night cap. |
Are they not tired of this bull crap they keep on saying, that the loot was an anti sanction stash away. How can you stash money in the country trying to or is actively imposing sanctions against you. How could he stash money in the United States and call it anti sanction security. Is it in a lions den you go and stash a goat to keep it from the wolves. If it is a sanction busting plan and the United States is leading the rap then there is no country in tje wesyern world that the funds are safe. Ask Russia, Iran or Venezuela. The money is gone, shackled and no bank will date release it to your within the sanctions. I would have bought the juvenile tale if the banks we are retrieving these funds from are located in Iran, North Korea or the Iraq he refers to. Better still if you want to keep resources outside sanctions just buy and stock gold bullion in your central bank, period. It is anti inflationary and convertible. Charles Taylor did same with diamonds before they were tagged and rendered useless. Mr Abacha stole these funds period. No government no matter how sick it is can claim this was some sort of official policy/strategy. |

Depends on what you are addressing or who you are addressing. Prayer is simply communication between two spiritual entities, you and someone or something else. How you speak here on earth is very similar to how we speak in heavenly places because we are created spirits and in the image of God. So how do you speak here in your everyday life. It is very similar. The extremes are simple. You speak gently or quietly or respectfully when addressing a person of great worth. You speak gently out of an abundance of thought or knowledge. You speak gently as one in control of the circumstance and/or the conversation. You speak loudly or harshly when you either donot respect or donot like the conversant. You are likely going to speak loudly because you are not sure you are being heard or understood. You are not knowledgeable enough or mature enough for a normal conversation. You are literaly screaming your head off in the middle of a battle to be heard over the cacaphony while calling base for instance. There is no prescription for the way communication is made in the Spirit in the Scriptures. However what it can indicate are the circumstances of the prayer, to whom it is directed and the standing of the believer. But generally the more you are in charge the less you tend to exert yourself. Very rarely do you hear kings raise their voices. |
CCTV without either impregnable defences or active deterrents is like NCDC and Covid 19. Observe, record, announce.... but no solution.... practically useless. Those miscreants will still rob, perhaps rape, maim and kill. With over 60 years of burglary, robbery, assault, kidnapping experience, no Nigerian entrepreneur has thought it worthy to research and deveop devices or home protection systems to deter, capture, maim or kill intruders. This I have thought about for ages and will be doing something about that in the not too distant future. If you can build and equip a house for tens of millions, what will it cost to protect it actively. |
inforesource:Not holding fast for Nigeria. The country is a mess but of those four airlines mentioned SAirways has gone bankrupt, Kenya and Ethiopia Airlines are mammoth millstones around the necks of those countries and Emirates barely turns a profit. No country in the developed world operates a national carrier wholly these days. Like oil, the business is cutthroat, fluid and vulnerable. The kinds of subsidies paid to the likes of Air France, Lufthansa and other marquee carriers will simply bankrupt a country like Nigeria. We should not be anywhere near acquiring or operating an airline as a nation. We should rather encourage the private sector to invest IN AN AVIATION INDUSTRIAL BASE first to have the capacity to maintain aircraft. For pride sake we may make the very best performing airline our national flagship or flag carrier on a renewable term basis. |
Jeffyblaq:Yeah, it broadens knowledge...enlightens....and is a good distraction from the fights, racial slurs and keeps the unintelligent away for a while. |
It think it has more to do with the relationship of activity than it does of the clock. Essentially good evening has a ring to it that shows amber, and says, 'I am still here, up and doing, not done for the day', while good night has a ring of finality and termination as someone closing down or being urged to give up on the day. So I can say good night at 4, 5, 6pm to my staff because I will not be seeing them till the next morning but good evening to the door man at an almost midnight club crawl. I may even venture a goodnight to someone returning from a vigil at 4 in the morning and trying to get some shut eye. You certainly won't be saying good morning as he/she flops onto the bed. Just like in culinary world where the terms breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper donot have universally accepted definitions, so are traditional clock face greetings. |
southniyikaye:Young man. The short secret to success is excellence, staying above the competition, staying in a rarefied atmosphere. I always tell my staff this: If all you can do is no better than that of the man by your side, then there is no obligation in placing you ahead of him. If he is equal to you then your prospects are shared equally as well, that is you have just a fifty percent chance of success. This applies to every offering whether product or service or a hybrid of both. You must strive for excellence continuously to prosper. Young man you had a chance with the business you ran. What makes you certain you will succeed outside your place of natural advantage. How can you possibly out labour the five foot six chap with shoulders as broad as brass balled buffaloes. No chance. Identify just one skill you felt comfortable with when you ran your business. Offer it free in a fruitful field for just a season and watch how you will remount your horse. But please when I say free, you must resist the temptation to give anything other than your best. The lack of a spirit of excellence brought you here in the first place. Have this attitude always: I WILL OFFER THE WORLD WHAT IT HAS NEVER SEEN BEFORE. |
The man should make a confirmatory test abroad. China and testing are like Nigeria and crude oil. Both unreliable entities. |
wink2015:Start to think fellow. It is you not them that should be worried when medical professionals are out of a job in a medical emergency. What if something happens to your sorry ar.se and there are no doctors to treat you. You go meet them on the farm abi or kaput in your house like the hundreds of unexplained deaths in the north because if you call the NCDC, the monopoly of all medical resources in Nigeria today they will not listen to you if your ailment is not corona virus related. So think and talk wisely. |
ello29:That is why townhalls are needed to deepen participation down to the grassroots. Clearly the government does not have the resources to handle unilateral decisions so it needs to meet the citizens halfway. |
rxmusa:Of course. As long as indolent Nigerians continue tolerating the mess you guys have nade of the country. |
rockiedink:I rather think it is a good idea to test the waters because this emergency is multi-factual and from the divided opinion it is clear that a debate is needed to tilt the narrative in one direction or the other. This is governing by consensus and is commendable. This pandemic will be a long drawn out thing and the goverment will need the endurance of the people to accomoplish its goals. You cannot get that by unilateralism or fiat. That will bring social disorder. So when leadership sees 'bodies on the streets (melinda blues) on one hand versus starvation in the homes on the other it needs to have a third leg of support. Town halls are now needed. That is the logical step for cerebral minds at ease with leadeship. Good start LASG. |
executive12:That was why when it came up in the course of the Presidential elections that was the time for Nigerians to debate the merits or otherwise in a civil, cerebral manner so that by shaping our economic blueprint whoever was elected will have a mandate to take our economy into a new direction, one that creates efficiency by privatisation. But no, immediately it was suggested they turned it into propaganda and with their noisy press shouted down the idea with lies, false narratives, subterfuge, blackmail and intimidation. See where we are today. There is no democratic goverment that will not receive hard knocks for going back to its political vomit. They are just lucky that multiparty opposition is dead in Nigeria or has been exterminated by their feudal practices. But to the ordinary citizen I will say this. Can you see how the black man fails in most things. When we cannot put aside sentiment to reason the substance of every matter under debate, the result will be that we will take action without knowledge and preparation. When we say restructure they shout you down then do it out of expediency in a wishy washy manner and obviously fail. When we say decentralise the police they say no then seek regional police un a wishy washy manner. When we say privatise, deregulate, many other things they first look at where their principals stand then herd after it mindlessly. They now want to sell assets by themselves, without debate, without scrutiny, in the middle of a crises which we know can never attract proper value and without accountability because we are in a defacto wartime period. See.the mess Nigerians cause for themselves because of sentiment. |
And a budget that pre Covid had the highest personnel and overhead costs in the history of Nigetia. Just employing friends and family and paying themselves whatever wages they like, all officially rubber stamped so that no anti-graft agency can come after them in future. To them that is the true meaning of a diversified economy. |
Davash222:Good thing the digital world does not forget. Now start to dig up the propaganda the fans of goverment were churning out 2 years ago on the matter of dumping junk assets to discredit so many other candidates, not just Atiku. They are back to their vomit. |
kunletexs:If it was the Wike that did this the goverment and its fans will descend on him with name calling and threats. But to the landlords of Nigeria ns 'frown'. This is the very reason why Nigeria cannot work. Injustice. Different standards for different people. Watch how the Federal Goverment cowers timidly. You will not hear them speak until after Oyedepo, then they come out smoking hot. |
Seun:Seun abeg let people just do what they want to do. The batttle is lost. We don't have the social cohesion to tackle this pandemic the way of the restriction. The moment the Italian came in it was over. Every other thing since then had been a waste of time. Nigerians will get infected in large numbers despite anything the government does. The fabric of the nation is weak. Our hope lies in the weak mortality numbers and the resilience we Nigerians have due to our tradition of vaccine cocktails at birth. That's all. |
Alan Shearer. One of the most gifted natural goal poachers the English game has ever seen and the standard by which every Premier Leagie striker is measured. Never played around the fancy, skillful, mega million pound squads found in the Premiership these days or for global coaching icons but his legacy and record of 260 goals may never be broken in this lifetime. A true icon of the Premiership. PS. I have seen Alan comment, critique, punt, whatever. When he speaks everyone listens. No dispute. He has done it all. Much respect. |
Help the police Madam by disclosing what your husband was into. 2 million in cash surely could not be for a noble cause. |
Reference:I bet most of these citizen states cannot boast of how many roads they can cruise at breath taking speed which is my pleasure in the FCT every blessed day at any time I like. In Abuja you can do upwards of 140 k's on no less than 5 highways 24/7 and another 6 outside rush hour. No other city in Nigeria affords this. I will continue living in that great city till it becomes a mess like Lagos then I quit Nigeria altogether....or build my own private city....with an Autobahn of course. |
showafrica:BCG vaccone that we all take as todds. |
You have said nothing. What is most important to the VAST majority of folks out here is the level of carelessness or otherwise demonstrated that let the virus in. Sorry to sound harsh but that is the fact. We have all been staying indoors, sanitizing frequently and wear protection when physically interacting. How did you catch the virus despite all these. That isthe mystery... what counts really. |
OreMI22:It will surprise you that the budget of the FCT is much smaller that most states. Check your facts. The days of massive Federal direct intervention is long gone. Most of the City Centre as it is known was built over 20 years ago. Successive goverments since 1999 have added pethaps just 2 or 3 major arteries. My concern for that city will be the bill for maintenance once these massive roads and bridges built in the 80's, 90's and early 2000's are due. |
Kekereekun123:Then Mr. Megabuck should be able to fly himself back to Nigeria. Canada won't mind. Evacuation always relates to resources. |
Won't happen. Where is he selling to. Aliens on Mars?. The global economy is in recession and post Covid demand for stuff worldwide will fall drastically. He sells stuff. So. PS. Governments worldwide have spent a heck lot of money to fight the pandemic, money most of them do not have. They will get this money back via taxes and investment cutbacks. And the trickle down is that demand for ordinary goods will suffer. The panic buying is over. That is what has helped him these past quarter. It is not sustainable. |
Kekereekun123:Covik 19 Tonic.... ![]() |
shugabasbn:Wake up. God will not help you to do what you know to do and can do. |
Kinikini:Have you not seen how the 'FEDERAL POLICE' has fared in locking down states to interstate travel...how 'successful' they have been in keeping the borders shut. What if these travellers were terrorists?. Nigerians courtesy of Covid have been given yet another clear reason why insecurity reigns. If after Covid Nigerians donot demand for restructuring seeing all these failings of the present system then we utterly have no hope. |
No more money to feed the beast. Nigeria on the ropes in the Niger Delta, on the ropes in the North East, North West, North Central, everywhere because instead of negotiating values that bring about justice, aka restructuring, they prefer buying their way out of reality. And which each buy the price of peace rises. Imo state governor hope you watch. |
