By 2019 everyone will be demystified... can you imagine what Mr. President is saying.... |
Told you by 2019 everyone will be demystified.... what next. |
ola6:Dunderhead. Is Nigeria not split from the UK, the States, France, Monaco, Canada, Switzerland, etc.. does it stop Nigerians from owning houses there. If Nigeria breaks up he chooses where to live and if he requires a visa to stay in Lagos so be it.... same as Buratai when he needs to go his houses in Dubai, but with certain levels of investment the process to citizenship becomes easier. Please the so called break up fear mongering is over rated and is found at the low depths of poverty and ignorance. The rich and enlightened have no borders, no boundaries, no business biases and no fears. In the next five years Mr Dangote will have as much income generating assests abroad as he has in Nigeria, what fear do you expect the man to have as a bonafide citizen of the world. Abeg, your thoughts only exist at very low levels, elevate them. |
Born2Breed:Well he has to defend his client by all means. You guys should realise that one day the tables will turn and more responsibility will be required not just of men but of women as well. I remain absolutely sure that the over sexualisation of society will be an important factor of debate going forward and both sex.es will have to tone it down to maintain societal sanity. In Britain today the debate is on about the devastating role pornography plays in destroying the youth, marraiges, health care, etc and whether some restructions have to be placed. What I expect to happen next is the debate about how men and mostly women conduct themselves in character and disposition while openly and brazenly projecting theur sexiality. Without a doubt the days of, "...its my body and I have the right to flaunt it the way I please will come to an end" and more men will be willing to take legal action against women for sexual harassment of the visual kind at work, at school and in other public places. For now rape remains a vile crime for which there cannot be a harsher penalty. Women will join in later, much later. |
Everyone is just busy stealing.... honestly, without a structure that takes career public office holders and politicians as far away from the monetary end of government, it will be impossible to even scratch the back of the 300 pound gorilla called corruption thoughtless of tackling it. Ordinarily there is nothing that should concern a Vice-President and the country's emergency management agency if such and similar bodies were properly institutionalised but they politicians won't let them grow amd be established effectively so that they can exploit their failings to personally adminster them and benefit thereof. If the system is bad I can't see the end to scandals I'm afraid. |
I don't mind that PROFORCE batmobile. I think I will get one and gut it for a custom rebuild. I hope they sell to civilians. |
Lordofthewest:I think it is better to sell your principal rather than fixate on the rear view mirror... na accident dey come be dat oo. Your people are in power, what are they doing with it. Pay attention to that. You are not in opposition. |
If you eventually get into office, just cut down the cost of governance the way you did it in Anambra and seal your legacy for life. |
What can I say...democracy has taken a big hit. We have not made any progress whatsoever since 2015. |
AgbenuAnna:But if that is true is it the way to SOLVE a or the problems of Nigeria. I have no issue with peoples liberties but donot use it as an excuse or reason it out with genuine concerns. The fact that the youth are so conversant, competent and at the cutting edge of irrelevant things is sad and a cause for concern. If all their efforts and mental resources could be channeled to creativity and not destructive addictions they could perhaps better handle the problems they have and of Nigeria in general. All over the world the youth are at the fore front of the fight daily to improve their communities, their nations and themselves through sacrifice, alternative ideas and hard work. The typical african youth waits to be served true liberty on a platter. They can dance any nonsense they feel like butthey shoukd know that life and the rest of the world is leaving them far behind. Let them not go study those books they hold and fill their heads will knowledge of the things that matter.... |
A cultural icon is gone. |
Okoyeebo:Face the issue. |
While the PDP corrupt are always stretcher bound and the APC corrupt are 'exported' to evade scrutiny, I need a keen follower of Nigerian politics to decide from these photos exactly which political party Mr. Kalu represents.... only those with a decent IQ rating need apply. |
This government has really done well on this road, and the quality is passable. |
By 2019 everyone will be demystified. When will Mr. Veepee's case be coming up. |
Look, this silly drama must come to an end. I don't understand what the end game of these detractors are. Time without number it has been made clear that the educational requirements asked for repeatedly are not mandatory for Nigerian public office and since this man has served in various capacities meritoriously in the armed forces of Nigeria should be waived in any case. For goodness sake this man is in his seventies and what education means todsy is not what it was in the late fifties and early sixties. Then it was a privilege not a right. Please stop this charade and cut this man some slack, he is a President of a nation for heavens sake not some fake professor with dodgy credentials. They are simply not required for his day to day running of a nascent democracy such as ours. In fifty years time you are free to raise the educational bar, fine. And when you read the document presented by the college it is clearly stated...DEGREES ARE NOT REQUIRED. |
Liberty is a God given right so everyone has a right to worship any supreme being he so pleases so the Slovaks are wrong. However with freedom comes responsibilities and where your freedom infringes upon that of others as some religions are quick to pontificate, then such laws inevitably arise. The true Christian religion I know is foremost in granting liberties because it is based on the principle of love so whenever conflict arises it can be disarmed by a simple, no or yes. Nothing is mandatory. |
omonla10:Get your wife an education and solve all these problems. The answer to exploitative dependency is the liberty and prosperity education creates. But a lot of men out there fear an enlightened and educated woman and invariably cause themselves more heart ache. |
Wrong. Returned loot is often relooted. What has happened to the monies you have recovered so far. What impact has it made to the nation's purse or the anti-corruption war, nothing. The best way to end corruption is to attack it from the source and the discharge. That is restructure the country so that the people, and not the government are the custodians of the real wealth of the country effectively killing the source of corruption. To kill the end products of corruption, that is the manipulation of society through ill gotten wealth, the only way around that is to strengthen institutions by elevating them above all personal interests and that starts with Mr. President not misusing security agencies for political or personal advantage, obeying court orders regularly and not selectively to send a strong message to the country on the neutrality and professionalism of the criminal justice system. In a nutshell if Mr. President can at least pretend to FEAR the criminal justice system, no one citizen will be able to summon the courage to treat them with disdain. As they say, the only way to bring up your children aright is to live right. All the preaching in the world will never impress upon them if deeds donot follow words. Nigerians donot fear the criminal justice system because Mr. President does not, simple. God will never ask us to do what he is not doing presently. |
Oga this is lame now. Everybody gets searched by airport security and I'm certain Atiku will have been searched several times in the past but by a team from the Presidency....?, that is a new low and no matter how you try to spin it, it looks bad and vindictive. Like I said earlier, Davido has a privete jet (or so they say), the Presidency should then be informed anytime he returns to town. What we say it simple. Let institutions work justly and equitably. That is real progress, not this. |
I will continue to have confidence in an independent and just Judiciary as an important constitutional component of government. I have no problem eith the decision. Whoever wants the proceedings to take plave in Osogbo should have created the right atmosphere. |
mayweather145:The PDP is a non living entity, it is an institution. Thus it cannot steal. Call the individuals out. That is what happens in informed societies. Can we say the APC is destroying Nigeria, no. But we can replace those who are. That is why we have elections. Be informed. |
Been saying that for years now. Guess another election cycle is at hand. You don't need to tell us, just do it already. |
...Lala land... |
naijaguy123456:By a "Presidential Security Team"?... So if it is a normal occurence (and no one is disputing that) then I expect either the Customs Service or the FAAN to observe that responsibility or tje mexy time Davido travels in his jet Mr President is made aware on his arrival and sends his security men to search too. The failure of this government to advance the importance of institution building continues to undermine the development of this country. Everything is political-party-personalised and then, after damaging these institutions the government expects its citizens to have respect for them in the course of trying to govern. Does this present administration even realise that the role of the opposition is pseudo- condtitutional. Does it think if all opposition is destroyed it cam stand legitimately or continue to govern.Without opposition there cam be no election. Without election there is no government. This government had better just focua on its mandate and stop umdermining itself. It has effectively has two months left to show why it should return for another four years. |
adewumiopeyemi:You're the type that drive women into all sorts of deadly amd damaging body image laundering and enhancement practices. You know the average women has the inadequacy gene embedded in her psyche. They have read your posts and dropped their books for the rest of the weekend for the mirror and their tool kits. You have given them the answer they have been yearning for ages.... as to why they remain unhitched. Be careful. |
Corruption can never end. |
Meritocracy:My friend devaluation has happened for every Nigerian citizen, not just civil servants. Let us not hold them in isolation. We want better governance which includes them and not just a blank increase in salaries. What is the average citizen getting for this increase he will pay for. Yes, the citizen will bear the brunt because funds will be diverted from capital projects, the nations debt profile will increase or taxes will. In summary someone will have to pay and it is the most vulnerable as usual that will suffer. Whether we like it or not, the Federal civil servant was never near the bottom of the economic ladder. |
WaffenSS:So annoying. People we barely need when the average Nigerian pays for everything he doesn't already own to exist. You provide yourself electricity, water, security, road, waste disposal, education, medicare, everything.... all they do is to become clogs in the wheel of progress with their endless thirst for bribes and gratification. If not for statutory obligations to the state who needs civil servants....so they continue to make new laws and edicts to fatten their bloated pockets. I can't for the life of me understand why I should be paying more to folks who contribute nothing whatsoever to my pleasure as a human being and why 1.5 million people out of 180 million (0.83 percent or 1 in 120 people) should consume 30 percent of all the money this country makes in a year as salaries (alone, not adding their perks)..... It is vulgar. And what is even more annoying is that the silly average Nigerian will support this increase without preconditions, without questioning what value will be obtained by almost doubling their wages, what he will get for such massive sacrifices and tax increases or debt increases to fund such. What has yhe NLC put on the table to justify this demand. Will the hospitals work better, will teachers resume on time, will the immigration officer stop asking for bribes, will the soldier at that check point stop shooting civilians out of 'frustration', will the policeman leave the danfo driver alone ...nothing, no demand for best practices but a blind support for the NLC. They just come with the usual rhetoric, blow hot air and the gullible citizens buy into it. They compare their wages with the highest ones in the land those earned by politicians to gain sympathy and folks buy it. Why don't they compare their wages with the lowest earned in Nigeria or to be fair, the mean (average) wage in the real sector, the wage of the man on the street as is done in advanced countries viz the number of hours worked in a week or month. What they do by this behaviour is elevate themselves above the ordinary citizens they should be serving and there is no man who will pay his servsnt 30 percent of his earnings. Even God doesn't take more than 10 percent. Together with politicians the Nigerian civil service is a burden on this country that must be examined critically going forward. This is too much to bear. In most other countries the civil service is not where enterprising careers are built. In Nigeria everyone wants a full time or part time government job to survive, cool off and make free money. At whose expense abeg. |
Looks gangrenous. The gist of the topic is not his survival but the obvious lack of proper, emergency medicare. The moral of the story is: just avoid any adventurous or reckless living in Nigeria. This one escaped, you might jot. |
You can see where this is all going. I warned. El-Rufai started the racist card. Now watch it snowball, engulf others players and smash through critical thinking and important issue based debates.... I tell you without rebooting this country through restructuring, Nigeria will perpetually and continuously return to the failed default mode of tribe, religion and class whenever the 'activate' button of progress is pressed. I'm just so sorry for this country. The black man acts sometimes as if he is mindless. |
