This is a very petty attempt to rubbish the political aspirations of Mr Tinubu. It would help us in this country to play healthy politics by shunning deceitful methods of demarketing candidates.

Each of the 3 major presidential candidates (Atiku, Obi and Tinubu), without exception, has his own strengths and weaknesses.

One of Tinubu's strengths, when compared to the other 2 candidates, is that he parades the best private sector experience having worked with one of the big 5 accounting firms in the world and Mobil International amongst other places. He could not have achieved this feat without a sound education.

Candidly, the official IPOB needs to do more than naming the UGM. The reason is that they accepted these people are their renegade members who have gone against the IPOB tenets. Unless it can be established that Burna Boy was the actual shooter or he gave specific instructions for his security details to shoot the victims, it is impossible to hold him accountable, and this personal verbal attack is needless.

For all we know, or don’t know yet, the victims might have also grabbed a bottle or knife to use as a deadly weapon before the security details had to resort to guns. We will find this info later on.

It is certain this is not the first time Burna Boy will be in a club and girls will be an issue, but for it to get to people getting shot is not normal.

He is culpable to the extent that he made a pass at someone's wife. He can be charged for acts capable of causing breakdown of law and order. He was not responsible for the shooting that took place but at the very least his action led to it.

His action is inexcusable.

It is not good to be homeless anywhere in the world. However, if push comes to shove it might be better to be homeless in Nigeria than in the U.S. This is because it is easier to get a family member or friend to take a homeless person in back in Naija than in the US. The family and friends support system is quite weak or non-existent in the States. There is nothing like "urgent 2k" in most cases.

In fairness, I don't think it is the Tinubu's camp that is getting cocky here. Rather, this is a journalist's view and journalists are not particularly infallible especially when they have to rely on hearsays.

The 1979 election was keenly contested. It took a court decision to decide the winner in the person of Shagari. Shagari had 33%, while Awolowo had 29%.

The shortest path for any of the Northern APC stalwarts to become President is for Atiku not to become President come 2023 because if he does, any other Northerner might have to wait for about 16 (8 years of Atiku Presidency + another 8 years of a Southern Presidency). Hence, many of the APC political heavyweights from the North aren't likely to support Atiku based on tribal affiliation.

You underestimate the personal interests of the Northern politicians in APC such as El Rufai, Ganduje and the rest.

Those people will work against Atiku knowing fully well that Atiku's success at the polls might work against their own political ambition in subsequent years which was why most of them insisted on a Southern candidate in this primary.

Sometimes it is due to electrical fault. I had an experience at a house I was staying. The plastic base of the heater cracked and I started experiencing tingling shocks from the hand shower which was metallic. The phobia made me abandoned the heater.

I guess you should focus more on his expenditure and not what he makes. My interaction with some of these ride hailing drivers show that they barely make profit.

For instance the guy that you mentioned who makes 20k on Saturdays, will incur the following costs to make the 20k:

Fuel - 6k approximately
Bolt commission - 5k/6k (There are unconfirmed reports that their commission is now 30%)
Contingencies for maintenance and depreciation - 5k

Therefore on that 20k, he is probably making a profit of about 3k to 4k.

Note that he may refuse to set aside that portion for maintenance, but if he does that he would be without a car soon.

And to think that he would make that meagre amount of money over many hours show how poorly renumerated those guys are.

That is why I always try and offer them tips whenever I use their services.

Unfortunately, being in banking doesn't equip people with understanding macro-economics which is the foundation of understanding the economy. Emefiele is a case study.

Amaechi ranked high in my list of people I could have supported with my votes but if he keeps mingling with characters like Buratai, I would definitely find it difficult supporting him. Buratai represents some of the worst things in this country and I would not like for people like him to get back into political reckoning after Buhari's tenure.

If it's not Samsung, it can never be like Samsung. I bought a Samsung S7 in 2017, gave it out in 2021 after buying Samsung S21 but retrained its charger because S21 no dey come with charger. Its optional. Up till now, I'm still using the S7 charger and still charges very fast 5 years down the line. The person i dashed the S7 only replaced the screen from a Samsung shop in Ikeja and it became all new again.

I read some of your posts with delight but I must caution us on this one. You see the present decadence in the society is fueled by pursuits of material things and when we deride what others can afford as "chinko" we may be indirectly contributing to the rot.
