As a compatriot, I would like for Mr Allen to walk free, but it is beyond you and I. I wanted to understand the issues and that was why I took my time to go through the pains of accessing web resources of the United States' Department of Justice.

If it turns out to be true that:
1. Mr Allen is the owner of Springfield Aviation
2. Springfield claimed to have aircrafts to sell to Air Peace owned by Mr Allen again whereas there were no aircrafts
3. Letters of credit were opened based on the anticipated sales of "non-existing" aircrafts by Springfield (owned by Allen) to Air Peace (owned by Allen)
4. American Banks disbursed $20 million on the basis of the Letter of Credits to accounts controlled by Mr Allen

then there is a case for fraudulent misrepresentation at the very least. Our emotions won't change the fact. It is sad, but it is what it is.

Looks like you missed the details of the offence:

1. Allen Onyema owns Springfield Aviation Company and Air Peace
2. Allen and his cohorts purportedly misrepresented that Springfield Aviation (his company) has airplanes to sell to Air Peace (another of his company)
3. Allen and his cohorts used fake documents to back up the misrepresentation in point 2 above and caused an export letter of credit to be opened on a transaction that was based on fraudulent misrepresentation
4. Based on the fraudulently obtained Letter of Credit, American Banks provided $20 million for financing

These are the claims of the U.S investigating authorities the way I understand it. If these claims are established, Allen will find it difficult to extricate himself from the crime.

The Lekki deep seaport is a Lagos State Government project therefore the question of centralization does not arise. Tell other state governors to sit up and stop going cap in hand to beg FG for allocations on a monthly basis. To weigh in, primary school certificate is not a prerequisite for admission into a university or college anywhere in the world, Nigeria inclusive.

In Nigeria WAEC GCE or SSCE coupled with jamb are the requirements but even then there is the IJMB, Diploma routes. Similar pathways exist in the USA and UK.

A Richard Daley College certificate would suffice as an entry qualification for university admissions.

These days some professionals such as those who wrote ACCA are given Bsc upon completion of a research project.

This is a very petty attempt to rubbish the political aspirations of Mr Tinubu. It would help us in this country to play healthy politics by shunning deceitful methods of demarketing candidates.

Each of the 3 major presidential candidates (Atiku, Obi and Tinubu), without exception, has his own strengths and weaknesses.

One of Tinubu's strengths, when compared to the other 2 candidates, is that he parades the best private sector experience having worked with one of the big 5 accounting firms in the world and Mobil International amongst other places. He could not have achieved this feat without a sound education.

Unless it can be established that Burna Boy was the actual shooter or he gave specific instructions for his security details to shoot the victims, it is impossible to hold him accountable, and this personal verbal attack is needless.

For all we know, or don’t know yet, the victims might have also grabbed a bottle or knife to use as a deadly weapon before the security details had to resort to guns. We will find this info later on.

It is certain this is not the first time Burna Boy will be in a club and girls will be an issue, but for it to get to people getting shot is not normal.

He is culpable to the extent that he made a pass at someone's wife. He can be charged for acts capable of causing breakdown of law and order. He was not responsible for the shooting that took place but at the very least his action led to it.

His action is inexcusable.

It's not bad to be homeless in US. To be homeless in Nigeria is the worst thing that could happen to a man.

It is not good to be homeless anywhere in the world. However, if push comes to shove it might be better to be homeless in Nigeria than in the U.S. This is because it is easier to get a family member or friend to take a homeless person in back in Naija than in the US. The family and friends support system is quite weak or non-existent in the States. There is nothing like "urgent 2k" in most cases.
