It would appear that the judiciary in Lagos State is more active than the ones in other states and the Northern states essentially.

There are states laws that affect the sentences of kidnappers. In some states, I believe it is life imprisonment. If this guy had committed these crimes in Lagos State, the state (LASG) would have brought charges against him and he would never have escaped a life imprisonment.

I must mention that Ondo state too has sentenced some of these kidnappers recently on stringent terms and it is laudable. Kidnappers should never be given slap-on-the-wrist judgements.

It is fair tackle to call out Obi if he reels out fake statistics. He should be sure of his numbers before reeling out statistics. If he does that, many of these attacks would fizzle out. It is insulting to assume that the majority of Nigerians have no intellectual wherewithal to fact check his claims.

There is a huge difference between what Obasanjo did. OBJ gave a loan to Ghanaian authorities while PMB outrightly donated for these vehicles to the Nigerien Authorities in a period that the Nigerian economy is facing a lot of challenges. It is really annoying.

Read my post again, this time, calmly. I never stated that the DSA said strike doesn't work. Rather I stated that I was the one who suggested to him that the many strikes undertaken by ASUU have not been effective. This response is only made to ensure that you do not quote me out of context.

Sadly, I once shared with a friend who is a Dean of Student Affairs in one of the federal universities, that the constant strikes by ASUU do not help the students and our tertiary education.

Whilst it is within the rights of the lecturers to demand for more funding, they have not displayed enough accountability and probity in the way that they handle internally generated revenues.

Again, if FG must continue to subsidize tertiary education then there may be a need for students to sign bonds that will compel them to work in Nigeria for a certain number of years before migrating to other countries. It makes no sense when people get subsidized education and then bail out. It is like haemorrhaging.

It is shameful that a lot of people commenting on this topic did not bother to watch the video. The Pastor used the word 'healing' figuratively. He made allusions to the fact that there is so much division, mutual distrust and insecurity in the country and that we need healing from these problems. He said he is bringing healing because he would promote peace, multiculturalism and not because he would perform miracles.

It would have been different if the adoption is just happening now, but it took place months ago, and probably helped Tobi Amusan to focus on her preparations and performance other than being distracted seeking sponsorships all over the place.

We should learn to separate matters and give kudos where deserved.

Tobi doesn't need the governor's puerile attempt at adoption to excel. She already was schooling in the U.S before the said adoption. And she had already excelled in previous sport competitions.

Besides, the adoption did not disclose any financial support for training and per diem and I am surprised where you got your idea of Tobi not needing to chase sponsors from.

This is where I currently stand too. I will like to know how each of the candidate plans to fix the 3 things you listed (power, economy and restructuring) as well as insecurity which you didn't mention.

Further to, I will scrutinize what each of the candidate had done in the past to address the 4 key areas I mentioned.

Based on this, I will make up my mind on who to vote. I am not persuaded by the ethnic or religious arguments that have pervaded our political landscape at the moment.

Secondly, how do we define christians or Muslims in governance? Is it sufficient to classify political office holders as Christians because they profess Christianity or as Muslims because they profess Islam, even when their ways of life do not conform with the religious tenets that they profess?

Do political office holders who claim Christianity but consult Alfas or the oracle for guidance qualify as Christian representatives?

Do political office holders who profess Islam but consult Pastors, Prophets/ Prophetesses or Ifa Oracle, marabouts qualify as Muslim representatives?

Any Fintech of Flutterwave can actually fall victim. Sometimes as tech people we have no idea what our inventions might be used for. As a payment gateway, clean and dirty people would use Flutterwave for payment solutions. Just for the records and nothing else. In 1993 MKO didn't win most South Eastern states. He won Anambra; lost Abia, Imo and Enugu. These were the South Eastern states whose results were released out of the 14 states before the release of additional states was stopped. And it is my opinion that people should not be crucified because of their electoral choices just the same way I feel nobody should question my decision to support any candidate of my choice.
