Well, that's quite damming really. I quite agree with much of what you said except that of electricity - here in NY area( Kaduna) I pretty much enjoy up to 17 hours of power. Though I am aware of how deprived some areas are. All in all Nigeria is a joke. And yes if one has the means I suggest emigrating to a better country.
bandOFhorses: Have you been to our abbatoir...? Nothing works in this nation. A revolution is underway. There is no better time. Like and follow the naira dream on facebook
A successful revolution in Nigeria is unlikely...I am not pessimistic but the odds are low bro.
CollinsWeGlobe: Most of una just dey form wise for this forum I just dey look una yen yen yen
Bros no mind the silly motherfuckers.
Anything wey man do they must talk.
Besides the reason they all are marvelling is because of the extreme poverty deep-seated in Nigeria otherwise I don't see any reason for this. Its just an ordinary thing for someone in a developed country - Go the supermarket, get your groceries and go home. Not a big deal.
That said, enjoy your stay bro... I love your simplicity and humbleness.
Kerfuffle: ABSOLUTE RUBBISH! What sort of insensitive diktat is this? Who the eff is advising this man! Who did kaduna offend! All legitimate business are essential! One-month lockdown without providing food and other essentials. Instead of tracking, the elderly, the sick and the vulnerable, he's busy embarking on a stupid lockdown. I dare anyone to point out one healthy, young person who had lost their life to this so-called virus.
You risk destroying your state's economy for a virus that has a very low mortality rate in the country! You have no effective testing capacity, yet, you want to lockdown the whole state. More productive states like Anambra are easing the so-called lockdown to sustain their economy while this one is hell-bent on wreaking havoc on the state.
Kaduna State cannot survive 1-month lockdown. Civil disobedience could be in the offing and he'll have himself and his dim-witted advisers to blame! Only School children, those currently unemployed, online businesses, corrupt politicians and lazy loafers will support this 30-days rubbish.
Bless your heart bro... I have been a strong critic of this slowpoke and his silly policies but as of late the thing just dey taya me set.
China has successfully controlled its covid-19 epidemic. Moreover, PPE, ventilators, testing kits and medical face masks are in high demand globally. Therefore making them expensive and scarce. African countries have been elbowed out in procurement of this equipments by wealthier American and European and Asian countries.
Just last month the US hijacked some medical equipment destined to the German capital - Berlin. If a world power like Germany could be bullied by a more stronger US how about weak Africa countries like Nigeria? These medical equipments are been given to the highest bidder. Besides no African company has the capacity to mass produce quality ventilators.
China as a matter of urgency has sent note than 3700 ventilators and millions of masks to more than 150 countries including US and Russia, are these world powers also stupid and weak to accept Chinese aid?... You've got to understand in a global pandemic of this scale all hands must be on deck for the world to get out of this mess.
I hope you receive sense and stop talking nonsense.

QuitNotice: So my niece approached me with this question, and I was a bit uneasy as I couldn't react to it head-on. Posted him so I could come here and get a reaction from the travel moguls on here. He just got a 3rd class degree in chemistry from a top Nigerian university and I think he's planning his next move, probably MSC or another degree, but i think he needs to know where is easier, based on the scope of our discussion. So, where would you advice a 3rd class grad to go, to gain good acceptance in terms of MSC and settling down. That's the easier option among the two
Personally, Australia hands down. The major reason being the climate, otherwise both are marvelous countries.
Stop making comparisons as no country is perfect. And the term abroad is literally vague so please specify. E.g Nigeria vs Germany or UK vs Nigeria... Even making such comparisons as silly as it sounds is absolutely laughable.
If you truly want to understand how undeveloped Nigeria is compare it with other developing countries like Malaysia or Brazil... These countries are literally miles ahead of this country in advancement...
To compare Nigeria with highly-developed countries like US and UK means you are completely delusional and just living in your little bubble( most Nigerians despite living in hardship believe the country is great and will soon overcome its challenges, so delusional of them).
missimelda01: As long as it's not Iraq, Iran and some other yeye places.. it is better to be treated badly by a few people in Diaspora than to be here in Nigeria where the government doesn't give a damn about lives.
Iran is not a yeye place... No city in Nigeria can compare itself with Tehran in any development index... Probably you got those notions about Iran from the main stream media.
