Just imagine losing a highly trained and resourceful personnel to miscreants who are living under the sponsorship of a known terrorist network.
I just wish the government will step up their urge to flush out this fish brains.

During the military, the late officer could have been a Governor.
Sad, RIP Sir.

PoliticsRe: APC Concedes Defeat, Congratulates Obaseki, Admits Edo Election Free, Fair by VEE2010(m): 6:45pm On Sep 22, 2020
My candid advice to Gov Obaseki and PDP:
The surrender tactic is a very effective law of power: I will advise them not to fall asleep.
Unlike a typical APC that we know, accepting defeat so easily seems fishy to me.
They may be cooking something using the inconsistency of our constitution to take over Edo through an arranged litigation.
I expect lawyers for the PDP and Obaseki himself to pay more attention to ensuring they begin a mock litigation process in anticipation of countering APC's ungodly antics.
It is still very early to celebrate and lose guard
PoliticsRe: Edo: What Caused The Peaceful Outcome Of The Election & Federal Might Absence? by VEE2010(m): 7:50pm On Sep 20, 2020
In my own assessment of the entire processes preceding and post election can be summarized as follows:

1. Most people supported Obaseki not because he will transform Edo state overnight but simply because, they want to make a clear statement to the federal government in protest of their misrule.
2. The people are tired of undue interference and results manipulation by Godfathers.
3. Imposition of unpopular candidates to the electorates
4. Warning from the international community (Visa bans and other sanctions that may come as consequences)
5. Undue involvement of political gladiators from the west especially the Ambode treatment
6. Karma to Oshiomhole who openly denigrated Chief Anenih then want to play the same politics he criticized
7. The recent increase of fuel and energy tariff also impacted the popularity of APC as a party
8. Sympathy votes to Obaseki to compensate him for the broad daylight humiliation meted on him by APC
9. Wike's influence given his efforts on infrastructural development in Rivers State. Most people believed that, a friendly collaboration with Rivers may attract same measures of infrastructural development to Edo state.
10. The resentment of the people regarding the security situation in the country also a factor. Seeing all those angry and hungry looking security personnel also increase the protest.
11. Open protest is blocked by APC so peoples' freedom of speeches are no longer guaranteed hence they secretly aired their views through the ballots
12. Money bags and and offsite comprises and commitments here and there.
13. More importantly, The God factor - destiny!

HealthRe: Nigeria overtakes India as world capital for under-five deaths by VEE2010(m): 7:19pm On Sep 09, 2020
Nigeria always outperforms other countries only on negative rankings.
I wonder if all of these statistical data from various international organizations worries the APC-led FGN. Very soon, Femi Adesina will come out to insult the people who might have worked hard to collect this data to help our leaders realized their mistakes and come up with sincere actions to overcome our challenges. I hope that the young people would one day understand that this is our country and we must salvage it!
PoliticsRe: Ortom: Army Intercepted Gana Terwase Akwaza On His Way To Surrender by VEE2010(m): 4:25pm On Sep 09, 2020
This is a serious affront to the state declared amnesty program. We expected our security men to use a style of bravado to capture or kill all the unrepentant criminals all of this while which actually did not yield any results and now the government with good intention of repositioning the state in matters security is being frustrated by the same security that has failed the state since.
There is actually a twist to this which I will submit as follows:
1. Nigerian security agents do not want a lasting peace in the region, they may be directly or indirectly benefiting from the permanent reluctance, therefore chosen to undermine the amnesty program which will certainly prevent other criminals from surrendering their arms anytime soon.
2. Either the guy called Gana has information to provide that could have indicted some senior officers.
The same people who happily celebrated the so-called repentant BH are no longer comfortable with extending the same treatment to Benue State.
I just hope this action by the security men gets a full investigation
PoliticsRe: What's Exactly Stopping Nigeria From Having 24/7 Electricity? by VEE2010(m): 5:28pm On Sep 06, 2020
From my research, these are the major problems blocking Nigeria from having 24/7 electricity supply:

1. Repeal the 1999 constitution: The idea of the National grid policy is killing the power sector. States should be given the power to generate, transmit and distribute power to homes and industries without major interference of the central authority. Only they can regulate to some extent to avoid undue exploitation. To me, every state have their own peculiarity when it comes to power need and usages or even the means to get energy
2. Once the national grid policy is removed from the constitution, it will encourage real investors to take advantage of the market given the population of our country to explore. The national grid system driven by subsidy will not allow competition thereby blocking investment in the energy sector
3. Advocacy is well needed to educate Nigerians about the actual cost of energy which they abuse on a daily basis as they are not paying according to the level of consumption for each household
4. For us to have a stable energy supply, Nigerians should be ready to pay the commensurable amount for what they consumed. Without advocacy, Nigerians will not understand the average cost of energy per kilo watt.
These are pertinent points that must be addressed. It's more of a policy issue, once the energy sector becomes viable as it is in other climes, investors will take advantage and by doing so, there will be competition and stable energy will be achieved.
PoliticsRe: Deji Adeyanju: El-Rufai Should Be President For 4 Years by VEE2010(m): 1:12pm On Sep 02, 2020
The office of president is not intended for a capricious individual who does not support constructive criticism and always quick to react and betrayed by an emotion biased towards fanaticism. Nor is it intended for a vengeful fellow who will blatantly destroy properties perceived to belong to an opposing viewpoint.
We need to be aware of the characters that occupy our public office, especially the office of the presidency which is in fact the symbol of our integration as a nation. We need someone with a broad knowledge of geopolitics and socio-economics.
The character of the subject mentioned does not correspond to our aspirations
PoliticsRe: Buhari Approves New Electricity Tariff; Rich Nigerians To Pay More by VEE2010(m): 6:50pm On Aug 26, 2020
I can sense a good intention on the part of the current administration to improve the power situation, but I can also notice another twist that the Discos will use to further subject the poor to more darkness.
I'm sure the areas classified as "poor" will be overlooked while the "rich" areas will be saturated with good amount of energy since they can actually afford the hike.
The solution which, in my opinion, will suit our country best is to abolish the national grid policy. Let the states manage their power individually. Those who can attract investors without federal interference can conveniently do so
PoliticsRe: FFK: I Hereby Withdraw The Word “Stupid” That I Used On Journalist, I Regret It by VEE2010(m): 11:17am On Aug 26, 2020
Blame your famous short fuse for it.
We must learn to remain calm even when provoked.
For me, the platform would have given him the opportunity to prove to the world how civil he is, but he just missed it because he's a short fuse like he said. We know that there is no totally perfect human being without a certain weak point but with wisdom, I think that this embarrassment would have been avoided.
I chose to stay calm especially when provoked because I know the consequences of anger, it always comes with regrets.
To the young journalist he attacked, I will advise him to continue his good works. Investigative journalism is very demanding, it shouldn't be deterred because of people with a short fuse

PoliticsRe: Police Rescue Soldiers After Boko Haram Attack In Borno by VEE2010(m): 11:19am On Jul 15, 2020
When it comes to combat to contain the menace of BH, southerners are always at the warfront and sadly dying in their numbers but when it's time to promote officers, the northerners are the GOCs commanding the poor southerners to their early graves.
In my opinion, if the government repeals the deployment process of our military men and women to serve only in their respective states of origin, BH war will end in less than 6 months.

HealthRe: 58 Nigerian Doctors Stopped At Lagos Airport, Were Promised Millions By UK Firm by VEE2010(m): 10:22pm On Jul 11, 2020
This indicates the premium given to health by a serious country. Nigeria will prefer to pay touts and even send some of them to Parliament to earn big salaries while those who run our health systems wallow in poverty.
They should allow them to go, they also need to secure a good future for their families, it is not only politicians that knows how the secure their future generations.
Why should they stay when the country does not value their services?
I am sure they do not block them because of their services to an ordinary citizen, it is simply because the airspace is currently closed for medical tourism, it is because of their selfish health security given that they can't run abroad for every headache as it used to be pre-Covid-19 era.
BusinessRe: Access Bank To Acquire Cavmont Bank, A Zambian Bank by VEE2010(m): 5:52pm On Jul 09, 2020
I don't seem to understand what their motives are. This so-called access bank bought diamond bank and killed it. Diamond bank was quite popular due to their IT innovations which access bank destroyed immediately after the acquisition.
Is it the blatant extortion they want to extend the Zambia?
I just hope Zambians will think twice...

APC and their propaganda machines...Why didn't they make similar statement during the arrest of Mompha against one of their own?
This is clearly a malicious and misleading behaviour of APC. They play politics with everything...

CrimeLatest On Hushpuppi Arrest by VEE2010(op): 10:38pm On Jul 03, 2020
Hushpuppi made his first court appearance today in an American court where the FBI alleged the following as gathered from a reliable source who is currently present to witness the event:

1. That Hushpuppi attempted to dupe an English premier league football club of £100M
2. That Hushpuppi committed a business Email compromise scam that defrauded a client of a New-York based law firm out of approximately $922,859 (N350.
6M) in Oct 2019
3. That Hushpuppi conspired to launder funds stolen in a $14.7M (N 5.5b) cyber-heist from a foreign financial institution in Feb 2019 in which the stolen money was sent to various bank accounts around the world...

Stay tuned as I provide more details, subsequently

This argument is absolutely not necessary.
The news of his demise first came as rumour some weeks ago and when it came up again, I thought it was a rumour until I read Governor Seyi Makinde's message to commiserate with the family over his demise. And that was like 2 or 3 hours after the news broke again.
PoliticsRe: APC Crisis: Amaechi Finally Reacts by VEE2010(m): 11:36am On Jun 24, 2020
Let me also react to his statement, viz:

1. He has said nothing to support or condemn the impunity of his party, from the state to the national level.
2. I refute his claims that Nigerians know he is honest, I think there is another meaning of honesty that we do not know
3. He is a faction leader who has also failed to realize the importance of peace in building a strong political force
PoliticsRe: Ehanire: Buhari’s Government The Most Sincere Nigeria Has Ever Had by VEE2010(m): 9:14pm On Jun 19, 2020
II took my time to evaluate the PMB remotely and I know that he is a good man with an abundant grace no doubt but, he is not competent to lead the country at this time given his age, his state health, etc. People are simply taking advantage of this glaring gap to govern the country by proxy
A lot must be done if we really aspire to redeem our country.
We need a leader who understands the challenges of this 21st century. His presidency produced no tangible results to have fetched him a return ticket for a second term.
It is the bitter truth that its supporters must understand otherwise, we will continue to recycle incompetence to our collective detriment.
I admire his courage as a person but I do not appreciate his leadership style because I am realistic without applying blind emotion to this blatant truth.

I'm also exposed to a Computer Screen, like 80% of a normal day. I Usually have irritations mostly with the right eye, feels very uncomfortable after prolong exposure. I then have to use eye drops to ease the irritations. I see clearly with both eyes and I don't think or have any eye problem.

I'm just worried about the screen glare. do you use eye glasses now when using a computer? Whatever you thoughts are about this I'll appreciate.
And also, did the doctor actually linked you nearsightedness with prolong exposure to a Computer's screen, or you came to such conclusion yourself?
Yes, I was told that prolong exposure to computer screen is a likely factor. It is advise you dim your screen light or better still use a screen shield...

There is a saying that "if you see a bird singing and dancing on a tree, there is an invisible drummer that motivates it"
It's really a typical mindset of people who claim to belong to everybody but in their minds, they belong to one region.
In a saner clime, this unguarded statement would be considered hate speech but alas! They will say nothing because this insensitivity clearly indicates their state of mind.
We are waiting, the whole world is seeing; I am very optimistic that the end of this forceful marriage between the north and the south is near. It can only be redeemed by a people-focused constitutional conference to redefine the marriage
