Your diet matters.
Add fruits. Especially oranges. Take a few daily, and your life will change.

I used to think issues like this should be a daughter and mom kind of thing, maybe I'm wrong.
Men should know these things too.
It is important that the children have parents who are knowledgeable. Period is not a taboo, or some kind of 'hush hush' process anymore.
Teach kids about their bodies. If you don't teach your kids, they will look for that information outside and in the arms of the wrong people.

There is nothing wrong in building a house. But you have to be smart.
2 incomes are better than 1.
She wants to either work, or do business so that she will not depend solely on your income.
Instead of encouraging that, you put all your money into building a house that wont start generating any revenue in the first year, and will not yield profit until after many years. During this period, your kids are starving, you probably have not paid their school fees and you are not able to keep up with home maintenance or catering to your childrens needs.
She left with the kids so she can be with her family who will support her in raising her kids and financial independence.
And here you are, talking about bringing in another woman. Someone that cannot take care of his family thinks he can take care of side chick.

Why not try adoption
Start from there and if along the line, you made a mistake of pregnanting another woman, at least she will have a child to keep her warm

Which mistake is that??
Somebody opened his eyes wide and deliberately impregnated someone, and you are talking about mistake??

grin won't that use electricity? Where is stable power? Fuel is cost... High solar installation is in millions

Off course you can override manually. A small UPS can serve as well. Some locations do get up to 15hrs of electricity daily and a house like the one this incident happened will have back-up generator they naturally run.
Politics / Re: Sergeant Adeleke Ogunsola Dies While Opening Gate For Gbenga Daniel's Driver by Winneygirl(f): 8:35am On Feb 23, 2022
We should by now be deploying automatic gate openers that connect to the vehicle when approaching the gate and you can open the gate with the push of a button.
This technology has been there for at least 2 decades.

Just look at how empty a morning flight is. 50k! 100% increase in air ticket.

When I said the Airlines would suffer especially Green Africa, United Nigeria, aero contractors etc, if they went ahead to follow the bigger players in this price harmonization, people were attacking me..

Now see this grin grin
I've been on an almost empty flight like this.
I felt lost.
But I feel sad about the loss the airline is incurring. They, at the very least, made loss on this flight.

Career / Re: Should Women Put Their Career On Hold When Having Children? by Winneygirl(f): 1:54pm On Feb 22, 2022
ASHTAROTH:
Why do you have Maternity leave?
Maternity leave is not enough.
There's 9 months of pregnancy, and maternity leave is mostly just 3 months after birth.
A 3 month old baby still requires round the clock care and monitoring.
Plus frequent hospital visits.
Where do you keep the baby while you return to work? The baby needs to be breastfed multiple times during the day, as well as at night.
Some jobs are actually very demanding. Some jobs require travelling a lot. Imagine some new mums stuck in traffic for hours while trying to get home to a crying, hungry and sick baby.
Now, add the experience of having twins, or having a toddler and nursing a child, or having 3 kids and nursing the fourth.
Women give up a lot.

Change the keys to the house.
From the gate, to the main house.
Then sit down and rest.
When he returns, he won't be able to sneak in.

Properties / Re: How Much Of Your Salary Should Be Used To Pay Your Rent? by Winneygirl(f): 12:22pm On Jan 28, 2022
10% of your annual income.
Or 2 months salary.
Anything more, you will be going outside what is affordable based on your income.
Remember that you will pay for PHCN and PHCN bill can be as high as your monthly rent.
You might also pay for water, security, fuel for generator etc.
So.... 10% max of your annual income.

In your next job, always communicate with your line manager where you will be unable to show up, or complete tasks.

Employ a housekeeper. The housekeeper can come around 3 times a week to do general cleaning and laundry.
Please don't get a leave-in maid. Otherwise, the laziness will be x100, plus she might end up maltreating the person.
She's pregnant. Not much you can do about everything else. Let her eat her sugarcane and egusi soup.

Stay on the job.
Set up the business and employ someone.
Remember that fuel subsidy will be removed by next year.
Electricity tariff will go up.
Cost of goods will almost double.
Cost of transportation will triple.
30k is very big money right now.

oldienavie:
I clocked 36 years 2 months ago, I look fit for my age compared to many Nigerians(I realised most Nigerians dont pay attention to their physical fitness).
I have been outside of the country and just got back with the aim of trying to get a wife.
Am I too old to expect to find a decent woman ?
What suggestions do you have with regards to getting a good woman in the shortest possible time ?
Thanks all.

So what is the plan?
To get a decent woman, marry her, impregnate her and then return back to your "outside of the country"?
I really want to know what you have to offer the "decent woman".

KoladeChris24:
I have this girl who is the only one I love, but she said she can never attend catholic church.

I told her it's not an issue - that as my wife, she's free to attend any church she likes, but she insisted our family would have to attend the same church.

She won't marry me if i stick to my Catholic faith. Please advise me, she's the only one I love, and I can't start over anymore.

We catholics plenty, and there are people whom religious affiliation is a deal breaker for them.
If it is a deal breaker for her, let her go. Peace is priceless. You cannot buy it.
This is something you should have discussed earlier than now.

Omorotionmwann:
It has been 12years now since my dad has been down with Stroke which has affected his speech, his right hand and leg and some 4years ago,he couldn't walk anymore but had to be carried to sleep, sit and all physical metabolism is done where he is,even after I and my mum have spent and still spends a lot on physiotherapy, speech therapy, brain checkups at Mecure oshodi, routine and forthnight high blood pressure checkups with expensive drugs and still no changes but it gets worse, all done going around in taxi as I have no car.....

I was 18 and in 200level in a federal uni with him and my mum my only support system when all of this started, couldn't concentrate and focus on school work anymore as I am the firstborn of a 7 boys family and my attention was always needed.....Mum told me I need to drop out that she can't afford all of this alone but I was strong hearted and determined to graduate with a B.Eng...

I had issues with my lecturers as my attendance were poor and my course adviser said it to my face that I would never graduate but I never told them about my travails or they wouldn't even believe me anyways cos they were mostly SADIST,All Engineering lecturers in Uniben especially Mechanical/PRODUCTION ENGINEERING from 08/09 upward,OGUN KILL ALL OF UNA!!! Life was tough for me and my Mum....

Now that I am a Man and supposed to be focus on my life future and raising a family but this is still taking a toll on me emotionally, financially, mentally and I will come home to my mum nagging, crying that she has tried enough over the years and i might come home one day and she has left ....THIS BREAKS ME,I AM TIRED,I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO....I LOVE MY DAD,HE IS IN PAINS TOO!!!

IF I COULD SEE THE FUTURE BACK THEN WHEN IT STARTED,I WOULD HAVE ASKED THE DOCTORS FOR MERCY DEATH,DO NIGERIAN DOCTORS OR HOSPITALS GIVE OUT MERCY DEATH TO PATIENTS?

NAIRALANDERS,I AM DEPRESSED AND I NEED YOUR ADVICE

sorry for the long post. Mods please help this thread to front page for more advice

Maybe look into getting a hospice nurse or a nursing home/facility.
Euthanasia requires patient consent and I am not sure if it is legal in Nigeria.
Education / Re: Third Class Graduate With No Direction by Winneygirl(f): 9:59am On Sep 30, 2021
Dizzyish:
Please I need advice, any advice.
I graduated with a 3rd class in Chemistry from three years ago (I only blame myself for that) and after I finished my NYSC a year ago I just plunged into a depressive state in regards to my mistake (my education) and my future (career) sometimes breaking down in tears when I think of things I've taken for granted in my life.

I started working on myself a few months ago and I've made some progress I proud of but every now and then it's easy to be overwhelmed with self doubt.
I made a cv without work experience along with a cover letter a few days ago and applied for a few entry level jobs like graduate intern, sales, restaurant supervisor etc via jobberman and the companies email but I'm not too sure I'll be getting any calls from them.
I didn't come here to get sympathy just an honest advice or opinion on what to do.

Can I do a pgd in chemical engineering or just chemistry or pursue a business or computer/tech course, are there jobs I can get with my degree maybe to get skills and work experience?
I deeply appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Maybe schooling should not be your next step.
Start thinking entrepreneurship. Go and learn a skill or a trade. Be an apprentice for a while so you can know what business entails.
There are successful people who didnt even complete university. You graduated. This means you acquired knowledge. Now it is time to apply that knowledge in the real world.

As you grow older, you should seek to appreciate time with family and a few friends
