Fine the sister instead lol |
innotutorial:I love you. As for accents, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your accent. I've lived almost all my life in North America. Toronto is the most diverse city in the world and I live right in the city centre. Everyone is from somewhere and our accents are the trademark. I can boldly tell you that you're easier to understand than many people here. I am almost certain the guy you quoted (naijapips04) isn't well traveled and quite naturally, he feels you either have to sound like him or have an accent similar to what he sees on tv for him to appreciate your video. Positive feedbacks are great and it's always great to keep improving one's linguistic skills. However, the guy's comment was an uninformed criticism, and your response just made my day! |
naijapips04:Lmso.... Please, what's your own accent? It's actually very funny when a Nigerian tell a fellow Nigerian he's got an "accent". I honestly don't think any well travelled person or anyone who's been to any word's major cities would ever say that. I watched the video and the guy's grammar was correct. He was very clear and easy to follow. He doesn't have to have your accent or even an American accent for his video to be watchable. |
Fahdiga:Stop leaving your life in a societal cage. Do what appeals to you. Your happiness and peace of mind should come first. If the couple is happy carrying one another, so be it. Don't let the quest for gender superiority take away anything you'd otherwise consider fun. Happy new year. |
thatsleepboy1:He made the money while contributing his quota to the wellbeing of mankind. His work gives him a sense of fulfillment. Sometimes, that's all a man needs to live long. Besides, people like him know when to leave the stirring for others. Bill Gates did just that. |
The US will not allow that. Whatever the president does while in office should be regarded as the action of the country and not that of the individual. Otherwise, president wouldn't have the mind to fearlessly carry out their duties while in office. It would then be a matter "Ok, do fast and come out, we're waiting for you". |
Fahdiga:The same irregularities that no one has been able to show or prove? Trump once won the election and there was no irregularities and then he lost this one and boom! Irregularities everywhere. Dude took Americans for granted in his first term. The election aside, he's been down the polls even before now. So if Americans don't want him anymore, let him go. His supporters might fear an America with more black/brown people actively taking decisions but they should accept they can't always have what they want. |
dam4sam:Like I stated in my second post, a marriage that has gotten to the level of DNA test already has a problem. That's the only part I agree with. My post you quoted was about the idea of men doing DNA test cause it's trending. It could be his right like you said but how I feel is my own right. And I'm saying in that case, things wouldn't be the same cause that's an implicit accusation that will always bring a heavy heart when it's remembered. |
Lol... |
Emaprince:Cheating is the normal lifestyle for married women now? Really bro, just women? You see, I am trying to convince myself you're just being logical but biased statements like this only go to show you're just protecting your gender's interest, and the assumption that I'm a woman simply cause I don't agree with the one sided scrutiny proves that the more. Bro, I am a man and this discussion shouldn't be about our gender but logic. Anything other than this would be sexism. Majority of the time, the men responsible won't even know? Lol... You're really working so hard to leave the men blameless. But the truth is, whether they know or not, the fact that they slept with a married woman is the genesis of the problem. Pregancy is only a result of that and even though nature has made it so that the women bear burden the alone, that doesn't make the men any less culpable. If we want to cast blame, let's start from the beginning. Starting from when the pregnancy has already occurred and then blaming the woman for not acting appropriately is inconsiderate cause you're not a woman and you don't know the courage it takes to do an abortion or the possible health risks. You just drop your sperm and then blame her for not removing. In fact, it's a bit disturbing and outrightly ironic that you're calling the woman the devil cause she didn't terminate the pregnancy. The summary of what I'm saying is, DNA exposes the woman alone but this doesn't mean men are any less culpable; nature is just on our side cause there's no telling where we've been or what we've done. However, slut-shaming the women while ignoring the men will not yield any result cause it takes two to tango. I'm very sure you won't agree with me but I think I've said all I can regarding the subject. To each, his own. |
I'm not a Trump fan but let's report correctly; the president didn't keep mum as reported by the OP. He actually called for peace. And there's no proof he wasn't the one that invited the FBI. |
Lol.... the "messiah". |
generationz:Better. Though I believe the thought of doing that signifies preexisting problems. |
Thinkherbell:Would it have been better if I were discussing pussy, toto, women, simp, alpha, redpill, etc.? ![]() |
Lesriosdefrance:And the pictures you shared proves this? D'accord. |
Lol... why would anyone give you reasons to stay? I really don't think he is using fake number of users to give the impression of high traffic. His ad clients know that a billion dormant user accounts wouldn't still amount to high traffic since traffic is primarily a function of the number of server calls. And even though high number of users usually imply high number of server calls and wider ad coverage, this is only under the assumption that the users are active. So for a prospective client (who obviously can't access the analytics to get the real traffic report), the best criterion would be the number of posts per given period (though this wouldn't capture the thousands of people who use the app without commenting). |
I don't get. The Pope's pictures with the present and former US presidents proves he's manipulating the election? Lmao... Africans and their theories. le roi des théories du complot |
Minjim:Maybe he does. It's not hidden that these politicians do such underground businesses. I was only pointing out that being seen with Saraki doesn't necessarily rule out the possibility of him being coerced into implicating the man. |
I don't know about women. I can't speak for them. But if I were a lady and my husband comes back asking for paternity test on our kids, I know for sure that marriage would never remain the same again regardless of how hard I try. There's simply no better way to plant the seed of distrust than making such a request. |
Minjim:I'm not taking sides but were you thinking SARS would pick someone completely unrelated to the person they were trying to implicate? The fact that he was seen with Saraki prior to the robbery would only make him a great option for the job. This should be a no-brainer. |
gambia:Yes. The man was busy working when the woman fell on top of him. #SayNoToSexism |
It's 100 times better to be a black man in the US than to be a woman in Africa. The sexism in Nigeria is alarming! |
As usual, they've all gathered here to complain and blame Africa and the imaginary Africans. Lol |
Emaprince:But he might be deceiving another man into taking in his own kids. It's same fate for that other man. So when you look at the bigger picture, the societal impact is similar. The only difference is the family that suffers. The bank director's case is a very good example. |
Whiteshield:Please, why must you insult ladies to make your point? Is she opening legs for inanimate objects? Is not men that do it with them? Let's drop sexism and have decent conversations. What you have said is your perspective, be open minded about other possible perspectives. When men cheat, they don't bring the kids home but they might actually be inserting thier own kids into another man's home (like the bank director's case). I know some married women sleep with single guys just like some married men also sleep with single women. But when you look at the big picture, the societal impact is similar. So the grand problem here is cheating actually. Pregnancy is only a possible outcome. We just don't want to accept that fact cause that would also make men culpable. So we only hammer on women getting pregnant for other men cause that way, men would be excluded since they have no bodily signs of cheating. You may not agree but that's my perspective. |
And how can one tell if her husband has a baby elsewhere? You know the men that impregnate these women usually end up being other women's husbands. |
The statement "Chinese and Lebanese are free to enter" only shows you created this thread for the fun of playing the victim. So you want to just get up and go to Eko Atlantic for no reason? The people that enter there, did they tell you nationality is what they check at the gate? Sigh... |
So what happened to a careless Nairalander? |
Tokziby:Well, maybe the big ones grow up traumatized and still have that fear instilled in them when they were small. ![]() |
austinkenneth:Yes but I only took you on on your counter argument against her personal experience at her father's ceremony which she only cited as an example, not necessarily on the entire discussion. I was only saying countering people's experiences when we weren't there hurts. I know cause I've been on the receiving end of that before. Again, we don't tell people what to complain about. The "dangling organ" expression was used in a different context; when she was describing the political atmosphere in Anambra. Nevertheless, it's been an interesting conversation so I'd also like to give my opinion on that as well her submission in it's entirety. Yes, dangling organ might not be the best choice of words in as much we know she said that just to emphasize on the fact that the difference between men and women is simply biological. However, do we really need an "impeccable argument" to say something as glaring as the fact that our culture is misogynistic? The fact the man's daughter had to call on the entire village to prove she's equally human enough to benefit from her father's handwork, though necessary in that situation, is very worrisome and only goes to show the extent of misogyny in the society. But here's the difference: the daughter had a trophy on the table (the property) and she had those she was arguing with (the opponents). Ms Adiche, on the other hand, was merely stating her opinion on a subject while citing the instances that informed her stance. It was an interview, going all the way to put up a fierce argument would be tantamount to arguing with herself. I believe her submission was just an invitation for a discussion. Being a lover of formal logic and constructive/persuasive argument myself, I know for sure that it's pertinent for the person who makes the first submission to assume everyone will agree until a counter argument is raised. It's understandable that we expect more from her given how intelligent we know her to be but except you don't agree with her stance, I don't really see how the fact that she didn't put up a formidable argument counters her stance which is that our culture is misogynistic. A formidable argument would be for those who don't even agree with the crux of her message and judging from our chat, you aren't really on the opposing side. So while I agree with you that she could have put it better (there's always a better way), we both agree that she's right in her judgment. Sorry for the epistle. Lol. |
Lol... I don't know this man so well but I think he can boldly speak up against immoralitylies, child marriage and the actions of the intimacy gadget client cause he has managed to maintain his dignity by not cheating on his partner or engaging in any such scandalous act. Now, that's a man. Unlike some boys who exhibit dog-like behaviours and still want to be earn dignity by naming it redpill. |
