Mystic969:OK. Cool. kaludestiny10:OK. vikstandon:Lol... OK. But why are you shouting? |
naptu2:Please, read my comment again. I said I made my comment before the pics loaded on my phone not before they were uploaded. The first time I opened the page, the pictures were broken. I only went back to reload page after you quoted me the second time cause I wanted to see if the the organizations you named were actually mentioned in the post. I've long edited my comment. |
VVVOLTS:Why do you guys make these gutter statements? Was your childhood so terrible that you didn't see any value in your mum's presence? You realise that most family men can go out there to make money and pursue thier dream careers simply cause they've got women at home to run the family? Or do you think those hard-working men in top positions would be there if they had babies to feed at home? Whether a woman is working or stays at home, she remains a pillar that cannot easily be tossed aside. |
What exactly do you need help with? Alright, give me her number, let me call her and ask the question for you. Anything else? |
naptu2:I made my comment before pics got loaded. You didn't need to go all condescending. Enjoy yourself, sir. |
naptu2:According the post, only one person found it unacceptably. ![]() |
Lol... I don't think it does and I know most people are smart enough to know money doesn't guarantee happiness. But I'm glad she acknowledged it's a privilege cause the absence of money doesn't guarantee anything positive too. |
The title is misleading though. There was clearly a debate and each person had something to say. The idea that football could help African migrants didn't sit well with Burnett and he made it clear. However, the title made it look like there was a backlash. Now, there'll eventually be a backlash. Lol. **Edit** Ok, going by the attached pics, it was actually a backlash. Sorry. |
This can be very painful, but to be honest, there are few things in your story that make me believe you wanted to eat your cake and still have it. I made a few assumptions in this feedback, please forgive and point out any wrong one. First, you stopped communicating with her. I'm not sure I'd advise any woman to wait for a man abroad who doesn't frequently communicate with her. Nothing is more reassuring that those calls. That things were tough for you isn't an excuse. You don't forget your partner cause things aren't working out. In fact, that's when you need them the most. It's as if you went to Ghana with the mindset of "if I meet her when I come back, cool; but I'm not going to let her slow down my life in Ghana". Or would you have remembered her if you'd met a fine Nigerian lady in Ghana that had more of what you desire as a man? Secondly, there was no serious commitment from your side before you left. You clearly weren't committed and I think you delibrately didn't want to so that nobody would drag you if you eventually decide to move on. She knew she was just an option and not the final answer cause the lack of certainty on your side was loud enough. She had nothing to hold on to. You made sure you she left your house and you weren't communicating. You put a structure in place that'd make it easy for you to move on if you need to, but you expected her to stay locked up in place for you till you make up your mind. You jokingly told her you'd marry her and you wanted her to make life decisions based on jokes? I hope you never got involved with other ladies yourself. My bro, I could be totally wrong, but I think you kept her as a plan B; something to fall back to in case nothing better comes. And she did exactly the same. If she had met a better man in your absence, chances are, you'd have come back to see a ring on her finger. She didn't meet anyone better and that's why she's falling back to you now. I'm infuriated by dishonesty myself but then, we are not in a position to decide for you. It doesn't even make much sense asking us this cause you alone know the level of connection you had with her. It's easy for us to say, "ditch her and find another woman", but at the end, you alone will live with the aftermath of your decisions. So do what makes you happy. If you don't believe her, you might want to consider letting her go. Marriage is nothing without trust. And if she confesses that she had some NSA's in your absence, you alone can decide if you can live with that or not. Your peace of mind is more important than our judgment. |
Wow... killing baby crocodiles is actually not sustainable. **Edit** They probably have a crocodile farm. |
Women always playing the victim! As if girls don't rape boys. Why did she enter inside? How sure are you that the girl is even 13? How could the man have known her age? Is it her first time? What was she putting on that tempted the man? Would she have called this rape if the man was rich? How sure are we that she wasn't planted there to trap the man? Oh... she wanted to enjoy pepper soup without giving the man some? Why is she speaking up now? Have they not been having sex before?! Is he not her boyfriend? Poor man has been accused by a budding olosho! Nigerian girls! When people make statements like the ones above all in the name defending one's gender, they probably don't know how dumb and inhumane they sound. So I wrote them out so they can read them and see how ridiculous they are. Shaming rape victims or shying away from calling out the culprits is the main reason rape cases have been on the rise. I say this all the time here, but some people make it a point of duty to attack me. The strength and time that should have been channeled into the campaign against rape are spent shutting down those who dare to make a deal of it. Nice one. #Sad #SayNoToRape #Justice |
PoliticalChinex:He is not comparing the products. Regardless of what is being sold, marketing follows similar principles. Promoters are into business. That you allow Google to advertise a certain product on your app doesn't mean you use those products. Marketing is business. A famous person is like a signboard. She posts those products on her timeline to get the sellers the audience they need and not to convinced people she's using the products. And sensibly person knows she doesn't have to use them except it's in the contract terms. That'd how the so called stars make money and that's why they do everything to get attention. All these insults and exclamation marks just because the guy doesn't agree with you? Do y'all get this emotional over everything? |
Lol... She probably asked that cause she is not a promoter. If promoters start using every priduct they promote, that would be crazy. Using your popularity to promote products is simply business. People are not necessarily buying because they believe you're using it, they are buying cause you made them know about it. It's like allowing Google ads on your popular website. How sure are we that Wizkid uses Tecno? |
rentAcock:Fot any major breakthrough, they'd always be people who think it's crazy. People couldn't ride bicycles properly but that didn't stop mankind from inventing motorcycles and cars. Not everyone is licensed to drive. Not everyone will be licensed to fly. And there's no guarantee flying will be more difficult or dangerous than driving on the highway. @OP, this is mind blowing. I'm sure in years to come, people will look back at this and laugh at the structure. |
Babaj145:... and people who don't know him too. I mean, you'll have to know him to be struck. I know him, but if he comes to my place of work, my colleagues wouldn't be as mesmerized as myself. That's my point, it's more about my perception and less about him. He is talented and he works hard, that's why he attained the height. But what made you describe him as you did is your perception. Here is an example, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala has attained a great height in her own field, but you're probably not crazy about her. It's not because Wizkid is more special or more talented or works harder, it's because of you and the things that appeal to you. I love him but that's just it. And that's probably cause I'm not crazy about music. Great heights come from talent and hardwork, but stardom is a function of perception. You just need to know that those who don't see him as you do aren't in denial, they just don't see him thar way. You get me now? |
Babaj145:Wizkid is a great artist. However, what you've just described is your perception as a fan. Technically, the concept of stardom is a function of perception. What you're trying to describe is how you, an admirer of Wizkid, see him. He strikes you as someone very unique, graceful and worthy of admiration. Yet, he could walk pass people somewhere else and they wouldn't see anything but just a cute guy. That's why I never frown at people fainting during Michael Jackson's concerts back then. When someone appeals to us to a great extent, we begin to see them differently. It's just important to know it's more about us than about them. Good morning ![]() |
Lol... The lizard be like "what are y'all looking at? " |
Milesbillions:Oh... OK. |
Milesbillions:You'd eat an animal you don't even seem to recognize? |
Bloggers... your headlines take people's comments out of context. Bloggers are meant to inform people. The reverse seems to be the case in Nigeria. She was defending herself by saying she's worth more than the 500k. |
9182736455O1999:But your society frowns at that. Some y'all just say these things as if you live in a different world. Girls who actively go after boys have been called all sorts of names on this same platform. The other day, the lady who decided to go after her friend's cousin was called out. The lady who slid into the DM of a boy she found attractive was called a destiny killer after the guy happily brought the chat on here. People even advised him to use her and move on. DJ Cuppy merely taking pics with Anthony Joshua was immediately tagged an olosho even when it was obvious she's got her own. I don't know, there could be many socio-cultural reasons for this. Some men feel it's a threat to their masculinity. Some can't just help sharing it with the world. Others believe such ladies sleep around. Whatever the case mat be, it's funny when these same men come online to ask "if they ask the guy out, will they die?" |
Nairaland people, I've got a question. Please, how can I send money to someone in Nigeria without revealing my identity? What are my options? |
german89:$800 a month can barely put a roof over his head. |
Biggcake:Hahaha... this made me laugh so hard. |
emecheboy2:A legal immigration process would usually require a work permit or university admission. OP doesn't have any job yet and his money cannot pay for any degree in Europe. It's most likely he's seeking illegal ways, and that's the problem. He could easily be scammed. And if he succeeds, he'd still have a hard time abroad. I see undocumented immigrants here and begin to wonder why they even left thier countries. |
**Edit** Wrong thread, sorry! |
WowSweetGuy:Lol... wow. |
WowSweetGuy:What is foreign face? |
I think your answer is obvious. It's good you've given both a try. I guess you love programming, but it's not really your thing. You just like the idea of being a programmer. I said not your thing cause most passionate developers hardly ever give the excuse "I'm not learning cause my instructor is not a good teacher". Many learned the art of programming even without instructors. Instructors may teach you the science, but the art comes from within. Besides, if it were just about the instructor, a passionate dev would be thinking of changing them instead of completely leaving the field. So like I said, I do not really think it's your thing (I could be wrong, please). Now, you want to switch to networking where you have your strength but you need a little nudge, some sort of validation. Well, if it makes you feel any better, both are cool/lucrative. If networking is really your thing, go for it. Do what makes you feel good and confident. The most important thing is thar you're really good what you do and that you have enough passion to see you through the difficult times. Don't bother about others and what they do. Many people started web development just cause that's the new trend and years later, they still don't even know what to do with the little IF-THEN syntax they learned. Just do you. |
DesChyko:Well, I couldn't care less about the paragraph. I just wanted to correct the notion that it is wrong to start a sentence with "because" as posited by the guy I quoted. The paragraph was probably as a result of the user mistakenly clicking the enter button while typing. I don't think anyone would delibrately stop a sentence halfway to start a new paragraph. I really don't know enough about IELTS to make a case for or against Nigerians. But if these schools have that as a mandatory requirement, I don't think they can be bullied into removing it. |
LaReinaa:You can actually jump to B2 without taking A1, A2 and B1 if you're up to it. |
