The show of shame is being interested in someone or making attempts to get closer to them? Do you think your brother would be falling for some kind of deception if he eventually starts seeing a girl who perfectly orchestrated a means to get him? Why is there no communication going on between you guys? How does your cousin feel about her? You said she is your friend and the guy is your cousin. I assume you can discuss this kind of thing with them. You are, therefore, in the best position to know if there's possibility of relationship between them. You're not to shield your cousin, he's not a baby. Why not discuss it with him instead and find out how he feels about your friend? If he likes her and you end up keeping her away, would you say you've done well? Instead of coming here to ask us for ways to keep two consenting adults apart for no clear reason, why not take your time to figure out if they really like each other?

I'm not against the new development. I believe music genres stem from the time and culture of origin. And no culture should be placed above the other. What matters is the lyrics (just my opinion). But then I see why older deeper life members would be worried or agitated. You taught them something and they've held on to it for so long. They defended it, promoted it and lived by it. And then suddenly, you decided to make changes without any explanation. Of course, you'd just end up leaving them confused/lost/stranded. And as humans, they'd react. The leader ought to know that his decisions drastically affect the lives of thousands of people and, therefore, it's only considerate that these people are carried along properly.

Even if its unlikely, rules should be made with all scenarios in mind.

I see where you're coming from. But then I believe the organizers are putting health over rule perfection. In the unlikely event that the scenario you painted becomes a reality, the likely contingency plan would be to cancel the tournament cause that would imply a good number of teams have been affected.

Please, read my answers about Cuba. Everybody has mentioned Cuba and I've been typing the same thing over and over again. They were not stopped by negotiations, the US actually did have a failed attempt at invading Cuba under the guise of anti-government forces. Russia also succeeded in planting thier missiles in Cuba anyway. The so called "last minute negotiations" was just Cuba giving in due to economic pressure. The use of force by the US was also a threat to the sovereignty of Cuba. That it was the US that did it doesn't make it right. I am not here to defend the US, they don't need it. I'm here to defend the rights of these other countries. The action of the US has been condemned by all the members of the UN except three. And it is in that same vein that I'll condemn any attempt by Russia to use force against these countries.

The US will definitely threaten those countries but forceful invasion on the grounds that they are members of an internationally body with Russia is debatable. The US does not need military force to cripple Canada. I believe Russia is resorting to the use of force cause they lack the economic power to control thier neighbours.

But all these aside, if you were from any of these other countries, would you fold your arms and watch Russia dictate your associations? Has Ukraine ever stopped Russia from doing anything? Let's not make this discussion just about the US and thereby undermining the sovereignty of these other countries. Even if the US would do the same, it still doesn't make it right.

I said historically, they have fought and won more wars than Russia. And in relatively recent times, they have engaged in more wars than Russia. I don't see how your question stands against that statement. Besides, you don't decide whether the US won or lost by your standards.

The point here is that the US has more war experience than Russia and possibly has more tech. For known reasons, the US stopped massive display of technological advancement long ago so you can't say for sure Russia is more technologically advanced.

Y'all mentioning Cuba should please read my responses above. I can't keep repeating myself. The US used economic sanctions against Cuba (which is what I expected Russia to do). Thier failed attempt at invading Cuba has be decried by other world powers. So I see no reason why Russia should not be critized if they try to do the same. I am against Russia invading any country. This doesn't mean I'm for the US doing the same. If the US does it, it will be just as wrong. Religiously supporting a country that isn't even yours is simply ridiculous. The US has the economy power to control her neighbours, something Russia lacks.

They didn't go beyond the cold war but they succeeded in planting thier missiles which was the actual reason they got into a romance with Cuba in the first place. The US exercised thier economic power and Cuba could not stand the heat and eventually gave up. This was within their rights. The only threat to the sovereignty of Cuba was the attempted invasion of the country. An action that has been decried by all UN members except Brazil, Ukraine and the US. So why is it a crime to also speak up against Russia when/if they try to threaten other nation's sovereignty? This is not about the US but about respecting other country's sovereignty. Regardless of who is attacking, it should be condemned.

Not really. It served its purpose. Please, read about the Cuba missile crises. The Soviet Union eventually used Cuba as an attack point to fire thier missiles during a face off with the US while the US used Turkey and Ukraine.

Yes, they severed ties with Cuba because the Fidel Castros was romancing the Soviet Union. They even sanctioned them economically and openly supported the anti government movement in Cuba. They also made an attempt to invade Cuba. The Soviet Union responded by offering economic cushion. I know all these. And yes, that was a threat to Cuba's sovereignty as well. You need to understand that from the perspective of human rights, it's not just about the countries involved but the action itself. I'm not against Russia's strategy today cause I am pro-US. This idea of religiously taking sides with a country makes it very difficult to share your opinion on international politics cause you'll find yourself always trying to defend the country. You need to view each case individually. In other words, that the US did this in the 1950's doesn't automatically justify Russia doing it today. In fact today, only three countries are in support of the US actions against Cuba (Brazil, Ukraine and the US). If other world powers have voted against the US, what would anyone shy away from also condemning the actions of Russia?

I'm not sure you read me correctly. I said, we have long moved beyond the phase of using force to make other countries do your biddings. If Russia feels like they're being cornered, they can woo thier neighbours or even sanction them as permitted by international laws. Ukraine, Poland or Romania, these are still sovereign countries and can sign any agreement they want to. There's no formal declaration that the missiles in these countries are aimed at Russia. If Russia invades any of these countries forcefully, they'll be no justification for that. They can dance around the ocean, it's legal. But that should be it.

And please, you don't have to accuse anyone who doesn't agree with you of being brainwashed by the western media. That's lame. Make your point. I live in the Western world, I have been to Asia for studies and I have dedicated a good deal of my time to studying the Chinese language and culture. I didn't do all these only to depend on the media. I have nothing against any country. We are just here to share opinions and put things into perspective. Historically, The US has won about 800+ wars while Russia/Soviet Union has won about 400+ wars. In more recent times, the US has directly engaged in about 50 wars while has not fought up to 10 wars.

He is right in his judgment. War knowledge/tactics is transfered from one generation to another. So even if it's 200 years ago, the US has far more war experience than Russia. Besides, it takes economy to fight wars and the US is in a better position to sustain a long term war as things are. Russia is a powerful country but not more powerful than the US. My opinion.

Russia can decide to cut ties with Ukraine or engage them in a trade war or find other socioeconomic ways to assert their dominance and get the country to do their bidding (if they've got enough economic power to pull that off). But there's no logical justification for insisting - by the use of force - that Ukraine will not be a member of NATO contrary to the country's wish. It's simply against the principle of sovereignty. If Russia succeeds, they've essentially taken over the country cause it will set a precedent that will be hard to maintain. Who knows what next they'll demand?

Russia should find other ways to fight her enemies without threatening the sovereignty or independence of her neighbours. Baring her fangs at Ukraine for their decision to dine with NATO is more or less an act if war.
