LaReinaa:Oh... it's about c$440 here. That's less than N150k. Yes, it's valid for 2 years. I just reread my post. I don't know where I got the 5 years from. Lol |
IELTS should be compared with TEF. The cost is about 100k in Naira and it's valid for 5 years. |
iamdapsyj:Sad |
authority2006:That's nice. But I believe that for a third party organization to be able to do that, they still need the school to comply. Does this then mean the school processes requests faster when it comes from this third party? Why can't the same quality of service be rendered to individuals? I believe the only extra thing a third party should bring is the convenience of using thier online platform instead of having to go to the school. Yes, this will reduce the processing time as data will be transmitted in real-time. However, the time difference shouldn't be that much if we exclude the time it'd have taken the student to go to the school. Like someone answered me earlier, even with the automation in place, it seems the schools aren't inclined to render fast services. ![]() |
KillerBeauty:That's sad. |
Don't these schools have online platforms where one can place a request for transcript and have it mailed to the recipients? In a country where everyone now identifies as a programmer, should this still be a problem? |
Considering the size of the country, Nigeria will likely always be at the top such statistics. I, therefore, think such stats should be expressed in percentage whenever possible. That gives a better idea. |
airsaylongcome:Starting a sentence with the word "because" is acceptable provided the initial clause is followed by another independent clause that completes the sentence (separated by a comma). The guy's construct is correct. If anything, it shows he's got a good command of the language. "Because English is the primary medium of instruction in Nigeria at all levels of education, we don't need IELTS at all." In the above sentence, the initial clause "because English is the primary medium of instruction in Nigeria at all levels of education" is followed by the independent clause "we don't need IELTS at all". He also did not forget the comma. This makes a complete sentence. The same sentence can be written as "we don't need IELTS at all because English is the primary medium of instruction in Nigeria at all levels of education". "Because" is a subordinate conjunction and, therefore, makes the clause it appears in dependent (unable to stand on its own as a sentence). Kids and learners of the language sometimes forget to add the independent clause after the dependent one introduced by the conjuction. This is why teachers tell them never to begin a sentence with the word. This way, they can ensure the independent clause always comes first. Cc: |
When they contact you, you make them the youngest landlords? Lol... how do you work out the age part? |
OP, thanks for sharing. As insightful as the post is, I do not really agree with the points. I'm going to share my take on each. Please, feel free to point me in the right direction where you feel I'm getting it all wrong. 1) When you smile, it's neither because you're fake nor because you're pretending to be okay. Your smile puts others at ease. If all it will take you to make the second party more comfortable is just a smile, by all means, please put it on. Your smile reassures others. It makes them less self conscious. Your smile makes you approachable. When you smile, others smile back and you also get the benefits. Smiling reduces tension. Sometimes, we consciously do it against all odds. We wear it like a mask even when we are fighting our inner battles. It doesn't make us fake, it makes us humans. I don't subscribe to "don't smile when you don't mean it" because in many cases, there's actually nothing to mean except the need to smile. That's why we smile at strangers even before any dialog. ![]() 2) I don't think anyone is really okay. Lol. People are always going through one thing or the other. However, they choose whom they tell what. Someone who tells you they're OK isn't necessarily living a fake life, they just don't think there's anything you can do to help them. Such a person might open up to another person. Yes, there are people who aren't good at opening up or receiving help. This could be due to lack of trust or some past experiences. I think being fake should be judged by the goal and not just the action cause people could close up for many reasons 3) Sleeping too much? Lol... OP, please. 4) Please, let's not make victims feel guilty. If your friend is not loyal to you, he is a jerk. Do not take responsibility for his actions. Don't beat yourself up about it. That guy that sold Jesus wasn't loyal to him and I don't think Jesus was living a fake life. People will always do themselves regardless how you treat or relate with them. 5) Fake social media posts might be wrong, but the example you gave doesn't do justice to that. We all post pictures of our loving families primarily because those are the memories we wish to hold on to. I don't think anyone takes pictures of fighting family members. Even those that bring family issues online are heavily criticized for that. Don't get me wrong, fake social media life is ugly, I just don't think pics of the good times we've had with our families make us fake simply because we also have bad times. 6) While it's not good to be stuck in the past, I just don't really see how that makes you fake. |
I don't see much difference. The Nigerian picture was just taken from a closer range. Besides, if Nigeria doesn't need the complex structure, there's no need to pay for it. |
You guys just like to present this show in certain light. Of all the pictures you could have taken, it's thier shower time that appealed to you? You're killing the show that fetches you money. |
KayCee92:Are your men like the groom? |
sisisioge:Thanks for this. I was beginning to wonder if Nigerians take food and band groups to court when signing marriage papers. Lol |
Lol... Nigerians. ![]() |
Looks like the Siberian husky. Huskies are beautiful if you don't mind the behavioral problems. |
Himtulie247:Sad |
Sebastine1994:Someone has to do it. It would be chaotic if we all start rejecting the job. I get it if it's not your thing, but such declarations should be kept to self so as not to discourage others. |
Wow... what is happening?! |
Comedian2019:I get it. ![]() And what I am saying is that you don't demand such specificity in the absence of evidence or comprehensive investigation cause only a trashy media would stamp assumptions as facts regardless of how intelligent the assumptions are. So the word "thieves" is the most encompassing one. |
At night like criminals? Well, that's probably because Nigerians are fairweather fans. Lol Our eagles tried. Let's welcome them home and support them for the bigger things ahead. |
alizma:The airport staff members who stole things are not thieves? Do they need membership cards to be called thieves? |
While the authorities are fighting each other. |
Hhmm... Why do people (Africans mostly) like these "rules of life"? OP, none should come first. People's priorities are different cause thier life situations are different. If you're in a car oriented city, you wouldn't deny yourself one just because you don't have a house yet. |
seunny4lif:The USA should not have planned to move Ukraine to NATO? Why do you guys always say this as if Ukraine and Ukrainians are inconsequential? You realise that almost 70% of Ukrainians voted to join NATO only after Crimea was annexed? Compared to Russia, Ukraine is a small country. It, therefore, makes perfect sense for them to want to become part of a bigger body for security reasons seeing the events of the past few years. The only reason Russia doesn't want Ukraine in NATO is because they fear Ukraine will be better posed for war with the support of the West. Ukraine is a sovereign country. You don't just wake up and decide it's time to re-acquire them and then insist they shouldn't seek help. This is not just about Russia not wanting NATO to plant missiles in Ukraine. This is about Ukraine seeking help and thier oppressor trying to make sure they don't get it. |
Mother's death is extremely painful. |
Vickyvice:You know she's right. It's a form of complex when black men trashtalk black women. It just doesn't make things any better for any one. You're just giving the white folks reasons to believe you're dirty yourself just because you're black. |
OP, is Brazilian wax a product? Or are you just saying "this is how Brazilian women look after waxing"? That would be a bizarre topic actually. |
Lol... the Tweet from the custom handle saying senior officers of both agencies should engage and understand each other's roles is funny. Was that an advice to self? It's almost as if the person forgot to switch to a different/personal account before tweeting that. |
blackaxe78:Lol... what of when a man suddenly becomes a motivational speaker? |
luvsesan4eva:Well, we can't draw conclusions from assumptions. Like I said in my response to her, she'd have to ask herself some questions and put logic before emotions. |
luvsesan4eva:Did she say this somewhere else? I didn't see that in the post. Then it would seem she's afraid her cousin would win her friend over to his side. That's a whole new perspective. Thanks for pointing that out. |
