Wow... this almost made me cry. How bad could things be that a grown up man would be stealing something that's not worth more than $15? |
caesymore:Ok. |
ChiefSosa:You don't need a language to think. |
tempem:I don't know what omo-omi is but it's funny the seller was cool with taking the omo-omi's money. Lol |
I don't understand. Why not just leave? She will win, you said? She will win what exactly? A man who has no regards for you? See Nairaland men will never see anything wrong in whatever a guy does, so bringing your problems here is fruitless. Just carry your bag and leave the house. |
illicit:But how can it taste like fish and chicken at the same time? |
I don't like Rabiu's couturier. |
SKYHIGHfx:You called Canadians agric chickens or whatever, yet many of them live in frozen areas and are still surviving. They are just different and not inferior or chickens. Besides, if a northern country like that is experiencing 60°, you should be worried and not competing. |
ThuGnificenX:Hhmm... Nigerians are always looking for a second party to blame. It's either your government, other tribes, other religions or another generation. Nobody wants to take responsibility. At the end, everyone is the same. Nigerians come to the western world and think everyone here is foolish for not trying to game the system. They think they're smart but the reality is, they are just criminal minded. |
Simplyleo:Hhmm.... guess it's easy for a black man to say some white men look like dolls. |
Ilamina:Lol... sorry, I didn't look at the moniker before typing. |
When a black man mocks the black skin... |
Poor women... |
Sad. There are a few hypothetical reasons like the interruption and excitement caused by the pandemic, the less focus on education caused by the failed ones trying to mislead the younger ones by always shouting "education is a scam", and the fact that most of them were online discussing women/men and doing alpha male. |
osazsky:I never mentioned rape neither did I refer to the suspect. If she's guilty, she should be jailed, I don't care. I'm only concerned about the man's family suffering the outcome of his reckless lifestyle. |
Just see how you guys are normalizing violence. What do you guys want? A lady who is even older than you are and yet respects you gets brutalized just because "you have hot temper". Do you hit your boss or client at work when they say what you don't like? Would you hit a bigger/stronger man like that? You're hitting somebody's daughter, somebody's mother and people are treating you with kid gloves just because you're a man: see a therapist, take it easy, talk to her, etc. Ridiculous. You don't need a therapist cause you're only hitting this woman cause she submitted herself to you. Please, do that lady a favour and dump her. She deserves better. I even blame her for putting up with such nonsense at her age. You're 27, you have a car, you have a land, etc. but the one thing you need, you don't have. |
Poor woman. I really don't understand the African society. A man cheats, got himself killed and the wife is being ridiculed. Just see the kind of sadness and shame some of us men bring to our loved ones. The annoying thing is that we never hold each other accountable. This man is dead and everyone is on about "fear women" as if the man that left his wife to be sleeping around was an angel. Please, guys, in as much as the society gives us the laissez-faire treatment, let's consider our loved ones before doing certain things. |
It's actually funny the OP thinks we're in still in the era when superior empires invade and dominate others. Did your military earn you independence in the first place? If not, why do you think they're the ones stopping any super power from invading your country now? What even makes you think a country can just invade another just cause they've a stronger military? How many sovereign nations do you think we'd have today if that was the case? |
bepositive11:When I say drag her ass to the grave, I meant that figuratively. The idea of "walking away" might be ideal if it's a minor case, but if it's a serious physical abuse, walking away would be tantamount to denying oneself justice and letting the beast walk. I don't subscribe to violence but there are legal ways of dealing with such people, and that's what I meant by dragging thier ass to the grave. As a man, if you hurt my sister like Chris Brown did Rihanna and expect us to just "walk away", you'd have to think again. Same goes to any lady who does that to a brother or a friend. People should know they can't do certain things and get away with it. We are humans governed by systems not animals. |
Nice one. Actually, a man with a working class wife does not necessarily have to pay alimony. You pay if your wife does the home keeping while you work. So the fear of alimony does not really keep people from getting married anywhere. But yeah, some men in the western world don't want to get married just like some women don't want to as well. Having said that, the laws against domestic violence are not really gender specific. I don't know much about Nigeria but I believe a man hit by his wife has just as much right to sue her as a woman hit by her husband has to sue him. The question is, would the man's ego let him do that? I doubt this, especially in the African society where men front this super human personality. Even when he does, his fellow men would be the ones to make him feel like an idiot. Sad. The point here is, African men need to know they can't have it all. The subjective society will always try to protect the weaker one (operation Cameroon), and African men go to any length to make it clear their women are not equal with them. The whole idea of men being the superior gender while the women are the submissive ones who are supposed to be respectful only puts women in a position where they're the ones that need protection; the "endangered specifie". But the reality is, you as a man can be hit, abused, etc. by a woman. You just need to come down off your high horse to get as much protection. As for me, if any woman hits or abuses my friend or brother, I'd drag her ass to the grave. |
Why do Nigerians curse and slight anything that's not their lifestyle? Pigeon racing is a very interesting activity. Training a pigeon and using it to earn money in a legal and entertaining way is dumb but betting is not? You guys are not dumb yet you'd do anything to get into the dumb man's country? No wonder Nigerians always think they can game the system when they get abroad. |
NewDelhi:Yours would come to your house at the end of the race. |
budaatum:Haha... @bolded We were still kids then and I'd like to believe the dude knows better now. |
budaatum:Lol... I don't really think someone who singles you out to praise you while brazenly slighting your people means well. At the very least, that guy's statement should be considered xenophobic. I've had a white person say to me "wow... an intelligent black guy!", and all I heard was "you're a special monkey". Lol. Anyway, that's just an opinion. Good morning. |
Let's always avoid things that will embarass our spouses or take away thier dignity. Everyone, regardless of gender, has their dignity to protect. |
Moura7:The season was actually cut short by the pandemic. But so far, no show between those two yet. In fact, going by the few clips from the next episodes shared, Sharp might be casting her net elsewhere. |
1) New Amsterdam (just finished the last available season) 2) Manifest |
Reading this page up to this comment, it's so sad what Nairaland/Nigeria has degenerated into. Everyone hates everyone. The country has become such a toxic place and I wonder if the people even know this or just think that's how life is. |
Lol... reading the person above, I find it astonishing to realize some people still believe professional wrestling is real. |
MITCHELL96:You guys are just funny. Almost everyday, we read stories of men swindling, raping, maiming, killing, etc. and nobody ever remembers gender or call men names. But once it's about a lady, everyone focuses on the gender. How logical. |
